Hogwarts RPG Name: Shel Ambrose Seventh Year | 7.0 Well of course they had to cut some parts from the movie but it seemed that they everything. Literally. And no Ludo Bagman? The "Veela Dance" (i.e. the performance by the Madame Maxime's students on their arrival at Hogwarts) was embarrassing. The World Cup - it didnt' seem as if there was one. Everything important has been chopped out of the book. And what about S.P.E.W? It ought to have been there. And the new Dumbledore - Heavens help me. he didn't seem at all like our dear ole calm Dumbly. It seemed he loved to shout.
But the movie had its share of good points. The arrival of the Durmstrang students was a nice touch to the plot. David tennant played a brilliant Bart Crouch. Jr. The tasks were managed quite well. The scene at the graveyard was quite good too even though the deat heaters didn't seem too much afraid of Voldemort as they should have been.
So the movie had its fair share of faults and good points. I rate it 7/10 (as I've mentioned befor).

| I think that GOF was by far the best out of all of them, but lots of people don't like it because of the fact that it left out the whole S.P.E.W thing. well, if that was in the movie, then the movie would have been 3 and a half hours long. not really what they wanted. so, they took out S.P.E.W because it was unecessary for the final outcome, the return of voldemort. So, i think that they did a good job of weeding out the irrelevent thing. Plus, before they started filming, the script had to be written, which was approved by J.K.Rowling herself. If she thought that it was okay, then we should just trust her judgment, because she wrote te books.

| I give it 2 Thumbs Up (at least a 9.5) I loved this movie from start to finish. So much of it was exactly as I'd pictured it from reading the book it was downright scarey- how'd they get in my head like that?!?!
The depth of character played by Alan Rickman is amazing this time, he's always been a deep character - hard to pigeon hole, but this time, WOW! Kudos to all involved!! (I loved the head thumping scene- I felt Alan was barely able to contain his glee in this scene- having to look stern for the part.)
Toodles!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Nicole Third | I'll give it a 8.5. It left out so many important things!!! I read the book again after the movie, and the book was awesome, and the movie didn't cut it. They left out S.P.E.W. completely, the maze was disappointing, and the World Cup could've been better. I know that they have a time limit and they can't include everything, but it could've been longer. The LOTR films were very long, and they still did great. I'd rather have a longer film that includes at least the most important stuff, then a short film that leaves a lot out. I was just very dissapointed. They left out too much imprtant stuf!f!!!
And other thing I didn't like was Dumbledore. In the books, he has always been calm and wise, but then in the movie, he just ran up and shook Harry and yelled at him. That was definately something Dumbledore would never do, and I hated it.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Mia Heartly. First | Well what can I say; first off I give this film a 9(I was pondering an 8 but with CGI like that I'd have to go higher!!)
Harry Potter and the Goblert of fire probly my favourite in the sreires and when the film came out me and my friends were first in line at Parsswood cinima to get tickets. As usual Danial, Emma and Rupert where great, however I did think Emma got some rubbish lines like the one at the end "It's all going to change now isn't it?" not one of the best lines.
I was rather disopointed with the World Cup scene a spectacular start but then what happened we didn't get to see any action!!Also a brief intro to Stanislav lanevski as Krum(not how I imagined him at all but ok I went along with it) his facial expression though was essactly how I imagined him but I think our Stan was too well built for Krum.
Now of course Maggie and Allen were great and i must say to the point were Allen nearly stole the show, he plays a fab Snape!! one was most pleased.
Michael Gambon as Dumboldore makes the character his own with a slight irish twist which i love!!Though he needs to calm down abit Dumboldore isn't as violent as Mike makes him out to be, poor Harry nearly lost his head in the scene where Dumbly shoke him when his name was called out of the Gobly. Dumbly-"Harry did you put your name in the goblet of fire":Shake shake:
Harry- "No sir":bang bang of Harrys brain:
The Phelp twins were awsome I just luuuurve em you can count on them to make you laf at time of peril like them betting on the tourniments.
OOO and Ron swore that was unexpected all around us in the cinima at that bit people went "ooooo" and Neville was soo funny he is really good "I think I just killed Harry Potter" LOL! I loved Miranda Richardson as Rita Skeeter(by the way is she related to Jack Sparrow there was some resembolence in there actions) A great performence!!!Some of my fav scenes involved her. The tournements where as exciting as they are in the book specialy the one with the dragon(Go Harry Go Harry) however the maze task was pointless(they where running away from wind)but i supose that would have been like an hour long if they put the Sphinx in and stuff(but wind? )
Overall it wasn't the best film I've ever seen but its Harry Potter and I went to see it twice. I loved it!!The great cast and special effects made up for what was missing ie Dobby:sob:

Well, I was impressed with the things that they put in the movie, but I believe that the action scenes shouldn't be the entire movie. So many things were left out, I was a bit disappointed with that. |

It was an EXTREMELY good movie--the best one yet, I'd say. The graveyard scene was a little scary but exciting and cool all the same. I'd be able to watch the movie thousands of times without getting sick of it once! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | World Cup - brilliant! When the Crowd roared out "Krum! Krum!" I wanted to yell too. Harry versus the dragon, more exciting than the book, rare praise indeed.
BUT they cut out SPEW They cut stuff from PoA and GoF is a bigger book, so I expected some cuts, but to completely cut Hermione Crusader for Justice to focus exclusively on the Yule Ball, Hermione tries to be a bimbo for one night in her life? So totally wrong. And now the ball scene has spawned an abominable horde of makeover fics. Obliviate Yule Ball.
4/10

well i really enjoyed it... awsome... nearly as good as the chamber of secrets... which is my all time favourite out of the movies...
what the bad side of it is that there were simple things that they missed or changed... the main two..
1. hermiones periwinkle blue dress... not so blue was it?
2. and when the grave yard scene comes stuffing cloth into harrys mouth didnt quite happen either
3.in the graveyard scene... scraping some blood of harrys leg... instead he cut a slit in harry arm...
apart from those things... that really annoy me, cos all these fans that havent read the books think they know everything... the movie was great... evry word was in the rite place and the wand connection thingy was absoultly fantastic... loved it. |
