I LOVED it! 9.7!
The whole Harry, Ron, and Hermione growing up is a great subject next to the Voldemort supject of him coming back. I missed the S.P.E.W. though. I wish they did bcause it played a big part in the other movies. All in all, It was an awesome movie. I enjoyed many parts, cried at many parts, laughed at a lot of parts, and stared at some parts I really enjoyed (hint, hint, Screen name) I can't wait for March 16th. My Bestfriend is giving me the dvd for my b-day! All in all, 9.7.

7.5 out of 10
I thought it was really good, and i realize that it was such a long book so they had to go through it quickly, but there were a few things that sort of dissapointed me. Was it just me or did the castle look different from the other movies? and other things such a leaving Doby out I guess they must of had a reason for it but i didn't like it. Also the color of Hermione's dress. And other small things like that but, the special effects were Awesome and the acting was great too. All in all the movie was pretty good but, i liked POA better

But, like you all mentioned, the movie wasn't perfect. At times it did feel rushed, and I felt like there were several key scenes missing. Like the whole Prior Incantatem thing, there was absolutely no explanation. I had to explain it all to my friend (who hasn't read the book of course). She didn't catch the whole Neville thing either, about his parents. I guess you must have read the book to catch that mentioning of them in the pensive.
Also the whole Dumbledore vs the Minstry thing was barely mentioned, how are they gonna get it all in the fifth??
i agree with every thing said above,
dan really has improved as an actor and i think thats important because he has been playing harry so long it makes sense that as harry's character becomes more complex so does dans acting.

when i first saw the film i thought ok that was great but im really disappointed. they missed sooo much out that it seems incomplete. i would like to stress that i still really enjoyed the film and thought it was great because it was great however from the very begining it just didnt have the 'harry potter feel' if you know what i mean.

i enjoyed it on a lot of levels as the characters really came to life and i felt their joy, pain and especially hermione's fear for harry's life although i think that was due to the acting cos the actors were fab!

overall a fab film. i loved it yet i was really disappointed as they missed loads out and it did not have the same feel as the other movies. i hope OOTP will be better an i cant wait to see it on screen!

Now, I know Mike had to take SOME of the things out of this movie, but HONESTLY!! GET REAL! What in the *beep* was the point of showing Neville dancing with himself??? They took out important things such as the House Elf Liberation Front, and added *beep* like that! What the hey??? I know they could have made it a good movie. Don't blame me if this is wrong or whatnot, but I heard that JKR reviewed what Mike was going to do, and then after she had approved something, he changed it. I dunno if that is correct info, but hey. It's worth a shot of mentioning it, right? LoL. I just plain hated that movie. And I thought PoA was bad.... The Quidditch world cup was pretty bad. They didn't show hardly ANYTHING! They weren't even in the top box! They were standing in some sort of a pole-made box or something! What the freaking heck?? And they have gone way to far in the ron/hermione thing. Now that it's all out, that's OK, BUT they don't have too go making it look like they've been dating forever! It never goes right out and makes it look totally and completely like ron and hermione like each other in the books!! There's subtle hints! The movies have totally been completely destroyed by Alfonso Cauron and Mike Newell. Altogether, it was an OK movie, but I honestly think that someone else (Chris Columbus) could have done better.
I agree with you on so many levels, love. So many...*sighs* Where have you gone, Chris Columbus?

honestly? i hated the film. I know that there had to many removed parts from the canon but even so, the film seemed way too rushed and choppy. first, the QWC. I completely understand why it had to be cut, but i feel that in order for that part to flow properly, there had to be a little bit of the game. The Death Eater masks were completely unexpected. Forgive me if i missinterpreted but i was expecting the masks to be less skull like and more phantom of the opera-ish, but they were great! the hoods of their robes reminded me of the KKK which was fantastic because that is what, in my opinion, the real world version of them would be, but again, i thought that the hoods would be less formfitting and wouldnt stand up like that. The rest of the movie was ok, there were a few things i didnt like, but they were all mentioned already so i wont take up much more space with that. However, they cut out the one scene i despretly wanted to see. That was the one where Harry was walking back to his dorm and his foot got stuck in the trick stair, and he looses his Golden Egg down the rest of the stairs and it falls open and starts "wailing". Then Snape comes out in his "nightgown". That would have made the movie right there. I mean, come on, Alan in a "dress"? lol. Personally, I think that there should be more Alan in the films, but then these films would turn out to be like Robin Hood: Prince of Theives, where Alan completely steals the whole film from the main actors. If Alan were given too much screen time the audience would not care what happened to Harry lol, which although it would be amusing, can't happen. But a little bit couldnt hurt right? The tasks were really impressive, especially the last one. I liked how the film changed the first task, it was much better this way. The last task was simply breath taking. My absolute fav scene it where Snape accuses Harry of stealing ingredients from his stores (wasnt that tough to get the scene was it? lol) I also enjoyed the trunk that the real Mad Eye was locked in. I can't wait for the OotP to come out on film... i have a feeling its gonna be a masterpiece.... and i can't wait for the occulmency (sp) lessons with Snape and Harry. It's so exciting lol. All in all, I give the film 7.5/10

The movie is truly awesome. Harry is gorgeous in this film. I think the trio have all developed as actors. Dan did amazingly well in the crying scene at the end, poor baby I just wanted to grab the screen and hug it. Ron really pulled of the comedy in this movie, more of him in the movie with his moody ways too which was cool. Hermione was truly amazing in the chemistry thing between her and Ron - he was really good too. They all showed tremendous performances - the scene were Hermione said she was scared for Harry and Ron even though he and Harry fell out he still found away for Harry to prepare. This shows how developed their friendship is. They are just teenagers who are going through the stages in life we can relate too.

Yule ball was awesome - bath scene yummy!!

100/10 lol

I agree with you too. I would give it a 4. 2. It sucked awfully. For goodness sake, they totally cut out Ludo Bagman and Ludo is a pretty big character there. They better make the OOTP good, or I'm never gonna waste my money going to the cinema watching it.

10!!!!!

So many things were going on in that movie. There was action, adventure, and a kind of flavor in all of the actors. The Death Eaters in the Quittich World cup were amazing, it sort of went a little fast in the beginning but slowed down tremendously towards the end.

The Yule Ball scene was my favorite. It pointed out the teenage Hogwarts in all of them and it has more to relate to people today.

All in all i LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched it a second time and rated it 7.5/8 out of 10. The first time I watched it I didn't enjoy it as much because it seemed rushed/went by too quickly for me...

Anyway considering they had to cut down such a large book, I think Newell did the best he could do--at least it was action-packed!! I just wish the champions had more scenes!! Personally I think OotP will be much better-- cos the storyline is getting darker and more exciting...
