9.5/10

Harry-He was perfect! I really liked him in all the scenes!

Ron-Well he was ok. But still very funny! Needs more scenes.

Hermonie-Pretty! She's really grown up now!

Cho-She was a pretty girl. I liked her acting but I still wish she got to be in more scenes! The girl who plays her in the movie did a really good job!

Cedric-Perfect! And hot.Robert did a good job!

Krum- No. I didn't like him he got all weird in the 3rd task. And he's kinda creepy.

Fluer-Perfect! Shes very pretty and a good role model! The person who plays her did like a really good job!

Dumbledore-I really liked the old one but...he is ok. But I wish they had the old one!

Hagrid- He wasn't in the movie much so no comment.

Rita Skeeter-Not in it much but she is a good news reporter!

Voldemort-Creepy! He didn't even have a nose!

Wormtail-Very creepy! He's all weird.

The twins-Funny. They were good not in it so much though.

Moody-Wickdly funny! I liked the part when professer Mc Gonagull said not to do stuff like that to the studends and Moody was all like:

Malfloy-He was good! I liked the ferret scene that was hillarious!

But the real this movie gets a 9.5/10 is that they left out a lot.

I think that it was the best film yet. I give it a 10 out of 10. I feel that it went by a litle fast but I was satisfied with what it was. I believe that Dan, Rupert, and Emma gave their best performance yet. For Rupert and Emma it was the Yule Ball scene. As for Dan, I think the scene with him not wanting to let go of Cedric was the best in the film. I love the way all the actors portrayed their characters was wonderful. THE BEST FILM EVER!!

Lightbulb I didn't..

I didn't like it (to say it bluntly). I mean sure, I'm not the best critic, but I just didn't like it. There where somethings I thought they elborated on, and somethign I think they totally forgot. I wish they could of added the Dursleys. I think I would rate it a 7 for characters and graphics.
Harry-Better than PoA
Ron- Great! A little subdued then the other books
Hermione- DEFINALLY better than PoA- she did seem to be near tears a lot
Ginny- Better
Krum- GROSS!
Cedric- Well, I think he did an okay job
Fleur-okay
Mad-Eye- Funny
Dumbledore- could work on it
Mcdongall- GREAT!
I'm going to leave it at there.

Hmm... I'd have to give it a.... 8 .

Only because it didn't match the book. It missed out the first ... three (about) chapters at the start alone. It dudn't even show the world cup and the Wronski Feint! As it got along I started to like it more and more. I reckon Krum is sooooooooooo hot. He's not that good looking but he is, you know? I also reckoned that Hermione looked so pretty. But her hair was strightened in the book, not curled. Oh well, I bet in the movie coz the curls looked way prettier than the straight hair would've. Fleur Delacour was also very pretty and I liked her . Also, another thing. They forgot Ludo Bagman!!! He's a really important character and they wiped him out completely, he's a judge for goodness sake! I found that they did quite good in basing it on the big huge book, but seriously, why couldn't they chop it up into two movies? It would get more money anyways. I'm sure it's a box office smash but I like the book way better. I can't wait on the next movie, but especially the next book.

I just thought that the GOF movie was awesome! The characters have matured, but they are still the same ones we loved from movie 1#. The trio are closer and closer still! Their friendship has strengthened and grown more with this film.
The movie was not only exciting, but it is also funny as well. There were the scary moments, the mournful moments, moments of emotion and romance, and all that stuff!
The movie had a lot of unanswered questions and important events that were left out, so I would say that someone would need to read the book to truly understand the story.
There were some parts of the movie that were bit intense, like the reincarnation of Voldemort, and some of the scenes in the maze, and the first task. But overall, THIS MOVIE ROCKED OUT LOUD!

I agree with misshermionegranger . The graphics are really good, but it didn't really follow the plot line, if u read the book.Did u know that they've changed directors 3 times!!! I'm waiting for the trumpet music to come out, and for the DVD to come out. I may lose my sanity by then though... Neville dancing was hilarious, although in the book he wasn't such a good dancer... Voldemort was cool too. BUT THEY FORGOT COLIN CREEVEY, LUDO BAGMAN, AND DOBBY! Ron looked really wierd with long hair, and Myrtle hitting on Harry in the bathroom really made the movie worth seeing (and waiting in line 2 1/2 hours and going to the 12:10 midnight showing) I really think that they could have done better. I liked PoA a lot better... no more today...

Hmm,I can only give this movie a 9/10. GOF is my favorite HP movie alongside of COS but they did cut a lot of things out,but considering how long the movie would have been if nothing was cut and knowing my attention span I can forgive the dirrector, producer, and editiors. But overall,I loved GOF. My favorite scene has got to be potions class. I love Snape and Alan Rickman portrays him so well. ^^

I simply loved the movie. How you can see at first how Ron idolizes Krum and when he find out that Krum is Hermione's date to the ball, he doesn't like him anymore.

I really felt for Hermione when she and Ron had a fight.

The Quidditch World Cup, well I must say, it could have been a bit longer. They just showed who were playing, Viktor Krum, then the Death Eaters part. Why didn't they show the part where the muggles are being held high in the sky?

And the house-elves, sad to say they weren't in this one, it wasn't a huge deal to the story, so I didn't really mind.

When at the end, Harry returned with Cedric's body, I really started crying, when he got murdered I didn't, but at that moment I really did, my friends did too. I must say, Ralph Fiennes was an amazing Voldemort. He played the part very good.
When Harry returned with Cedric's body, I was a bit worried that Daniel would mess the crying part up, seeing how it didn't really work out in Prisoner of Azkaban, but I think he was very convincing, I had expected less. A lot less.

Mad-Eye Moody was brilliant. When he was sticking his tongue out to McGonnagall. Very funny.

I found that some things should have been explained like Prior Incantatem, and I think that people who haven't read the books, find some stuff hard to understand.

I found that all the 'child'-actors have improved. Rupert Grint, so funny as Ron Weasley. And ofcourse when he and Harry had a fight, I really felt for Ron.
Emma Watson, I didn't find her acting over the top at all, she was amazing. She really was. She was amazing as Hermione.
Daniel Radcliffe. That boy has improved his acting, although it can always be better, I know that he is getting better. My comments on his acting are mostly positive, while just a year ago, when PoA came out, they were mostly negative. Shows that he is learning, and that he wants to learn.
Ralph Fiennes. I couldn't have wished for a better Voldemort. He was brilliant. The way he spoke. Just... wow. The ressuraction part was very well done.
And all the others, as I already said, all the 'child'-actors have improved. Matt Lewis as Neville for instance, when that had DADA, I really felt sorry for him. That boy did a good job.

This movie had me laughing, crying, feeling sorry for the characters and loads more. This movie was great, and in my opinion, the best one so far!

and i give it................................................ ........................... a .....................................9.5

i thought it was the best one yet mike newell did very well directing this movie and i wish he would direct more of them. i think that it was the funniest of them all and that it should be number one on every ones movie list to see and buy on dvd and vhs. i loved it but my only critisism is that the in the beging it was to choppy and does not give the viewer a very good clue on what is going on. but everything else was great

also i thought the actors played their parts very well in this movie

BEST ONE YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of a ten, I give Goblet of Fire a 9.9

It was definetly the best installment to the series thus far. It made me cry which no other HP movie has done so far. It was very intense and felt very real. One thing that I didn't like was that the beginning was very rushed. I would have hoped that they would have shown Winky which they did not. I understand that they have to cut somethings, but it actually showed Barty Crouch Jr. shooting up the Dark Mark. It is supposed to look like Winky did it. I loved how the Yule Ball scene turned out. At the beginning I love how Hermione was oh so giggly and happy to be with Krum. I loved how they conveyed the jealousy in Ron and the way that the friendships were mended. I also loved how impatient they made Parvati look. That was priceless. Fleur was at first not how I imagined her, but by the end, I loved the casting with her. Karkaroff was casted perfectly in my opinion. I do miss John Williams. He was THE perfect music supplier for Harry Potter. They should definetly bring him back for Order of the Phoenix. It's not the same without him. I think that they did the maze very well except they did not include the giant spider or the sphinx. They did the Voldemort scene brilliantly. I was sobbing when Lily said that Harry was ready. It was so sad. And his parents were just so proud of him. It was great. Overall, this film was just wonderful. The best so far, like I said. I hope that they do just as well or better in Order of the Phoenix. Great Job!!!

well... here goes.....

In my opinion, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is by far, the best Potter movie so far...

We start off reasonably at the beginning, with Frank Bryce being killed... the Quidditch World Cup was also very good, although i would have LOVED to have seen the entire thing, but the introduction of the Bulgarian and Irish teams was great.. i loved the leprechaun... now.. for the most important part of the entire movie... the Triwizard Tourniment...

First Task:-

That dragon.. omg... it was soooo cool!! harry just jumping onto his broom and zooming off just before the dragon struck.. omg.. wonderful... that task was really done well... just like the book really...

the Yule Ball:-

now that was a wonderful sight... everyone looked good, except maybe poor Ron... even Professor McGonagall gave him weird looks about his dress robes lol... and Hermione.. she looked absolutely stunning in that dress.. very beautiful... Also.. the Weird Sisters... they were wonderful... *can you do the hippogriff ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma* lol

Second Task:-

Now that was a good task... true to the book, harry uses Gillyweed to be able to breathe under water... and as the book says he rescues both Ron and Fleur's little sister Gabrielle...

Third Task:-

Now the third task was the best one.. the maze was really well done, and when Harry and Cedric both reached for the cup... Portkeys are so cool.. lol...

Voldemorts return:-

now that was really well done... i really enjoyed watching his return... and all the death eaters comming back... very good... Cedric dying.. that was sad.. but of course, if u have read the book expected... The movie isnt what i expected.. it was better... my favourite things were the best of course.. Rons jealousy was funny i know i have missed out a lot in my review, but im trying to make this as short as possible... as im sure all of u have seen the movie, you will agree, that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is, as i said before... the best one.... now bring on Order of the Phoenix!

i almost forgot.. the rating... i give it 9 out of 10...

OMG I totally agree with both of you. Winky, Ludo, and Dobby played huge parts in the book, so why did the director cut them out? And, like so many other people, I agree that it was too rushed. And the Quidditch World Cup was disappointing, seeing as they didn't even show who won. Did Mike Newell assume that everyone read the books? I know lots of people who haven't read the books and went to see the movie, and they came out confused afterwards. The dragon task, though it was good, went on for too long. And they killed the dragon. Also not in the book. They could have used those precious 5 - 7 minutes in explaining things more thoroughly in the beginning.... and I think Clemence Posey and Krum should have had more lines. Didn't they have more lines int he book...? I know I'm being very critical right now, but if any of the people who work on the movie read this (hey, it could happen!) they should get an idea about how they are changing the book so much... but i give it a 9

Gryffindor Fantastic!

Well Goblet of Fire opened in cinemas across South Africa yesterday and I have to say that there were mixed feelings about it. Some said it was far too rushed while others expected more from certain scenes e.g. the Quidditch World Cup, the 2nd task. Me, on the other hand, enjoyed every minute of it! I thought Moody was brilliant. Slightly rushed I felt but in other instances I suppose that was good because every scene was absolutely action packed! They weren't kidding when they said it was much darker than the others! If you analyse it like I do, you'll notice that just about every scene is in a dark room or it's dark outside!?!? Look out for that when you watch it again! Favourite scene for me was definately the Graveyard scene, that was done to perfection! I now cannot wait for the Order of the Pheonix to come out! Just another year and a half to go!

Overall rating: 9/10

I saw it Thursday night so here are my thoughts.

It was a much better film than the previous three. I was really glad that Ginny Weasley had more of a role in this. Neville was really good. "Oh my God. I've killed Harry Potter," classic line. I loved Fred and George especially at the World Cup inside the Weasley tent. The singing was such a fun thing to have.

Daniel did a really good job at crying. So much better than the previous film. I cried my hardest when Cedric died and when James and Lily spoke to Harry.

Rupert, what a excellent job he did. I loved the Yule Ball argument, Fleur (who is amazing) and Gabrielle (also fab) kissing Ron farewell. I loved it when Hermione told Ron to wake up at the Weasley home. His reaction was great.

The scene where the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang delegates enter the Great Hall was great. I loved the two opposite ways in which they entered. Katie Leung was excellent as Cho. The Patil's were great. I loved how the Beauxbatons girls were snobby at first but at the end they were hugging goodbye the Hogwarts and Durmstrang students.

Overall, this was an amazing film. I honestly thought that there was going to be some corny moments or the ending was going to be poor. I was proven wrong because not once was there a moment where I was thinking "Oh God," and cringing.

I would rate it 10/10.

Default pretty good

I'd say like a 8.8/10. It was good but they did leave a lot of important stuff out and elaborate on not as important stuff. I think they did pretty good on casting the new characters....cedric was good, krum was okay but im surprised he had no hair almost...in the book his hair was kinda long...and fleur did good but I think they should have made her more snobby acting and added in some of the lines she had from the book like when she complined about harry competing, and in the book I didn't think she wore her hair up so much Cho Chang was pretty good but didn't look like what I expected her to look like.. Dan rupert and emma did a great job as always. As for the tasks I think the 2nd one was the best but I wish it had of been a little longer. Thhey left out too much stuff in the 3rdtask but it was still really good how they made it seem scary/ confusing like when cedric was all bloody, fleurs hair was pulled back perfect then it showedher running around panting and scared and her hair had fell down half way and was all messed up. And the graveyard seen was amazing. Great movie!
