too many mistakes from the book to have a perfect score, but excellent casting and effects.

This is my least favorite book, but I like the movie a lot. It leaves things out from the book, and has differences, but I think it was all for the better. I can't think of anything that really bothered me. The acting improved a great deal. Great movie.

It was a great movie with decent acting, amazing specail effects and a ledgendary plot. However, some things that I disliked where the delivery of certain lines, I'm not picking on any one because they are great for there age and experience, but there seemed to be lack of emotion and effect in them. I was almost outrage at the lack of clues through out the movie, hinting to us that Ginny was opening the chamber of Secrets. The only hint, other then florish and blotts, was suppose to be in the library and that ruined due to the camera angle.
I thought that the writing was great and the music was perfect, Rupert Grint shown in his comedic and emotional role and Chris Coulsen was, in my mind, beyond perfection as Tom Riddle.
Overall it was a great movie that was well worth the wait, even if it did miss it's full potential. I hope they can learn and be inspired to make even greater movies for the remaining movies.

| 8/10 for being darker, better acting and better effects... but there was something lacking about it that I can't put my finger on. Plus, it was long.

I rated this movie a ten for three primary reasons.
1.) the overall quality was excellent-ie casting, effects, blah-blah-blah.
2.) The sountrack was ideal at capturing the emotion of the moments.
3.) Hey, I get to see and "hear" what happens in the HP world, by both reading the books and watching the movies. That's more than good enough for me to relate to a story on so many different levels. That's why I never think either a book or movie is better. :sorcerer:

| 5/10. Yeah very low. Well, you see, I think PS was excellent because that was when we are introduced to the amazing world of Magic. The second one, however, you know the schools gonna be like this and that. But, the graphics and special effects were excellent. Parselmouth, Basilisk, the car, Whomping willow, Spiders, Phoenix, Duelling were all worth a watch. |

I thought that this movie was a little better that PS and it more special affects and it just looked better. The acting of the kids had improved ALOT althought Dan could improve a little more other than that it was good.

9/10 i just think it was awesome, with a few mistakes, but then, they always have to change the movie. It can't be 100% same as the book

Following the example set by The first movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets delves deeper into the world of magic created by book author J.K. Rowling. This movie begins to reveal more to Harry as his first year of wizardry has passed. Wonderful additions to the cast include, a very convincing performance by, Kenneth Branagh, and , devilishly evil, Jason Isaacs, as Lucius Malfoy. Things keep getting better for this francise, and one can only hope that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban follows suit. I give Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets a 9.5/10

After viewing this film numerous times on HBO, I have seen its contents enough to review it. Harry Potter and The Chanber of Secrets is a story of a young boy, Harry Potter, and his adventures with magic and the trials and tribulations of friendship. Harry is accompanied by the very eccentric Ron Weasley in there many quests to uncover the secrets which lie within the walls of Hogwarts. to keep things interesting, Harry Potter and company are constantly taunted by the schools bully, Draco Malfoy, and his gang of croonies; adding another entre to Harry Potter's already full plate. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets is an emotional rollercoaster that will take you to all ends of the human psyche. The amazing effects will astound you, and the superb acting will leave you breathless. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets will leave a very special mark on your heart and soul, this movie is the film on which all others will be measured up to. Calling this movie enthralling is a complete understatement, it is the end all movie.

i read the book ages ago then watched the film and thought it was brilliant. i then read the book again and noticed how many differences there were in the film. i realise this is because obviously if everything was put in the film would be too long so i think the film makers did an excellent job of putting in the right parts. Special effects were awesome as always and the acting was fab.

yes there are many differences between the HP movies and the books but I think the 2nd movie was much better than the 1st one and I have great expectations for the next one... 8/10
