Where: Oldham, England

Eric has not only an impressive actor filmography, but also has numerous credits as a writer and director. His career started as a script writer for radio, but he soon discovered he had a talent for both acting and directing.
Frank Bryce, the character he played in the ‘Potter’ movie The Goblet of Fire, actually has some similarities with the man who plays him. Eric suffers from hearing loss, and wears specially designed glasses which act as a hearing aid. His disability has never affected his acting however, still able to perform with perfect comedic timing. He has 3 children, and received a Commander of the order of the British Empire from the Queen in 2005.
