Jeff Rawle first became interested in drama when he attended High Storrs Grammar school, where he appeared in school plays. Before he went to LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), Rawle worked at the Sheffield playhouse.
His first major role was in the TV version of
Billy Liar in which he played the title role. He appeared in the
Doctor Who. He has also provided narrations for many things including
A Bear Called Paddington,
Budgie,
the Little Helicopter, Stephen Hawking's
Universe and Tom Fort's
The Grass is Always Greener. Rawle has also gotten writing credits for
The Young Poisoner's Handbook and
Who Goes There?
Although he is probably best known by TV viewers as George on
Drop the Dead Donkey, we know him best for playing the endearing Amos Diggory in the Harry Potter Films.
