Ian was actually born Ian Davies, but adopted the last name Hart from a theatre school friend. He began acting as a student in his home town, being cast the play ‘The Government Inspector’. His first major role was his portrayal of John Lennon in the film ‘Backbeat’. Ian’s works have largely been contained in British theatre, television and film, though he has done some international projects as well. We know him best as stuttering Professor Quirrell from The Philosopher’s Stone.
