From a young age, Mr. Gleeson always loved to learn. He especially loved reading classical texts inside and outside the classroom. This love amounted to an appreciation of some Irish play writers such as Samual Beckett, and led Brendan to perform in his high school production 'Waiting for Godot'.
After finishing high school, Gleeson headed across London to audition for Drama schools, where he was nearly accepted at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Making a living as a secondary teacher who specified in English and Drama wasn’t enough for Brendan. So at the age of thirty five, he decided to audition for films.
After that his career had flourished as he had been in more than thirty movies including Braveheart, Cold Mountain, Troy and Kingdom of Heaven. We know him as Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody in the Harry Potter films.
