Born: February 3rd, 1970
Where: Epsom, England
Height: 3’6” (1.07m)
It was Warwick’s grandmother that actually got him into acting. She had heard on the radio an ad, asking for people under 4ft tall to appear in the upcoming Star Wars movies. He was originally cast as a background character, but the director liked him so much he was recast as a main character, ‘Wicket’ the Ewok.
This kick started a career in many large and well known productions. Warwick reprised his original role in two more movies, and also played along side David Bowie in ‘The Labyrinth’.
All of his characters to date have been in costume, his face never showing. But Warwick’s talent to generate real emotion despite the costume is what makes him such a talented and in demand actor. He went on to star in many more productions, including the new Star Wars movies, Harry Potter, and A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He has also appeared on the stage throughout the United Kingdom.
Warwick has 2 children – daughter Annabelle, and son Harrison. With his wife Samantha, he runs ‘Willow Personal Management’, an agency specialising in shorter stature actors. We know him as two characters; he played a surly bank teller in the Philosopher’s Stone, and as Charms teacher and Ravenclaw Head of House, Filius Flitwick.
