David is another of those more elusive actors. Not much is known about his private and professional life, despite quite an impressive body of work. We do know however, that he began acting in 1971 at the age of 29. And in 1991, he received the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for his supporting role in the Royal National Theatre’s production of ‘King Lear’. To us he plays the strict cat owner, caretaker Argus Filch.
