I don't know why, but I don't like this book at all. lol! I do... but it's my least favorite and I don't know why. I guess the whole petrifying thing didn't really suite me. It was different... Tom Riddle's diary and all... but it's different from the other HP books I love... so I don't love it as much. lol. I don't know why. Probably because I hate Lockhart, and Colin, and Ginny, and snakes, and Tom Riddle (not in the movies, though!), and spiders... |

Review: I had just been forced to watch the PS movie and wanted more Harry Potter. So my friend lent me her CoS novel. Technically then, it was the first book I read in the series. Reading about the world of Harry Potter was so much better than seeing it. I especially liked Harry's final confrontation with Tom and the basalisk. I was totally hooked to HP after reading this book. |

| Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets-a uniquely dark, suspensful, but still realistic and mellow plot. A fun read!
I loved in, because it had a very different plot-plus a lot of unanswered questions to ponder. I met Lucius there, and throughout the whole book, I believe it maintained a certain realism and rationale. To me, a rat transforming into a man is too far to create an exciting plot in the Harry Potter books. Here, the mundane holds all the adventures that those that are not do.
That's just me. Edit: Just a quick request. Can i get you to please add a rating to your review? Like 8 out 10 or 56 out of 99 or whatever. Thnx! ~AJ |

Well when I first read this book it seemed so good cause all the Harry Potter hype was about and so you know everyone expected you to say that it was great. But now when I read it again I dont think it is THAT good. The only good bits are the end bits with tom Riddle and such. |

| | | Well, it was a really good book! And the way lockheart was written was great! But, I don't really like Ginny. She's never been one of my favourite characters. 9/10 (I think all of the HP books are great!) | |

Review: This was the first HP book I read ( Yea i know, don't ask...lol) Anyway, this is also my least favorite of the HP books and also I don't know why. To me COS was a dull compare to the other 4. It was still a very interesting read and as always would recommend it to anyone. | |

| i agree..as much as i luv the HP series this seems to be my least favourite buk. i dont no why though!! Still, i think Lockhart is a brilliant charachter but i can at some times find him annoying which puts my off the story a bit and i find the bit in the chamber boring as well.
i fell really bad coz i think i shud like it but...its not one o my favs
i think its sweet that Ron n Harry r shaken a bit by Hermione being petrified

| 10/10 - It's my Favorite Book in the Series.
Why?
I loved the Quidditch Match, and the Basilisk was just plain awesome. It was a mystery just waiting to be solved. Who would know that Tom Marvolo Riddle spelled I Am Lord Voldemont? And I also like how it all adds up. Like when Colin saw the Basilisk through his Camera, Mrs. Norris through water, ect. and how we learned how Moaning Myrtle was killed.
It was full of action and adventure, and that's why I liked this book. |

| normally after reading the 1st, i jumped to the 2nd. i find it darker than the first (the 1st book was a light read). ginny was a nice addition to the series since she is also ron's sister. say 5 out of 10.... |

| I'll have to rate this 8 out of 10. The new additional characters are alot of fun specially Dobby and Gilderoy Lockhart. The Quidditch game is awesome too, Harry's match with Draco is one of my favorites. The story also begins to evolve as the book has a darker side now. Much more action that the first book. One outstanding character for me in thi sbook is Ginny Weasley. Now the friendship starts to embraced the characters tighty. |

I gave all books a rating of 10/10...basically they were all amazing and fun to read...Chamber of Secrets was really great. I liked the part when Harry found the sword in the Sorting Hat and Fawkes the pheonis came down with it...Tom's diary and how it used Ginny to open the chamber again, the flying car, the massive spiders...everything in the book I enjoyed!!! There wasn't a single chapter I got bored at while reading the book!!! I recommend this book to anyone in the world!!! |

| 9/10. I thought it was a little slow, but it really started to pick up at the end. It also has one of the best Harry Potter endings. |

| Rating: 8/10 Review: It is lore spookier than the first part. I loved the part where 'Tom Marvolo Riddle' was shuffled to 'I am Lord Voldemort'. Genius! Moreover it is the only book so far in the HP series that I haven't read more than once. So I dunno if I will feel the same about it if I get a chanceto read it once again. |
