- Chapter 25 -

SHELL COTTAGE

Dobby apperates them all to Bill and Fleur's home, Shell Cottage.

Lupin visits them again to tell them that Harry was right and that he is back together with Tonks and that he now has a new born son! He asks Harry to be the Godfather to his boy.

Olivander confirms to Harry that the Elder wand is real.

Harry reasons that the Death Eater's vault, which had the sword, must also contain a Horcrux, since Bellatrix was so worried about the Dark Lord finding out about it.

He tells Griphook that if the goblin helps them to "break in" to the vault, Harry will give him Godric's sword. The Goblin agrees.

- Chapter 26 -

GRINGOTT'S

Ron and Hermione take the last of the Polyjuice potion, to disguise themselves as Bellatrix and a random Death Eater so they can get into the vault. The Goblin and Harry accompany them under the cloak.

Once inside the vault, they find the Horcrux and escape on a blind dragon that was keeping guard outside the vault.

- Chapter 27 -
THE FINAL HIDING PLACE

The dragon flies them to a lake near Hogsmeade, where they leap off.

Harry gets another Voldemort vision and learns that the final Horcrux must be at Hogwarts. They decide to go through Hogsmeade and hope to find a way in from there.

Dementors and Death Eaters are patrolling the area. Alarms alert the Death Eaters of their presence, so Harry summons a patronus and runs towards the Hog's Head tavern. Dumbledore's brother Aberforth beckons them inside the tavern and convinces the Death Eaters that the alarm went off because of him and that the patronus was not a stag but Aberforth's patronus: a goat.

- Chapter 28 -

THE MISSING MIRROR

Aberforth reveals that it was his eyes Harry had seen in the mirror all along. He had the missing mirror that connected with Harry's and has been watching them all along.

He agrees to help the kids enter Hogwarts by using a secret passageway hidden behind a portrait of his sister, and that comes out in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts.

Waiting for them all in the Room of Requirement was most of Dumbledore's Army. Dean, Neville, Ginny and Luna also meet them there and expect for Harry to call a full scale war against Snape and the Death Eaters who have taken over Hogwarts.

- Chapter 29 -
THE LOST DIADEM

Through Harry's Voldie-visions he learns that Voldemort is aware of Horcruxes being destroyed and is quickly traveling from one to the other to see how many are left. Harry thinks he will check Hogwarts last because it is probably guarded the most and the hardest to find.

All Harry wants is to find the final Horcrux and destroy it before Voldemort arrives. He has a feeling it will be a something connected to Rowena Ravenclaw, he asks Luna if she knows where Ravenclaw's Diadem (a tiara that once belonged to Rowena) might be. Luna says she can show Harry a statue of it in the Ravenclaw common room.

A Death Eater professor is waiting for them near the statue and alerts Lord Voldemort by touching her dark mark.

- Chapter 30 -
THE SACKING OF SEVERUS SNAPE

Acting as new Hogwarts Headmaster, is professor Snape.

McGonagall finds out that Harry is there and offers to help him. He explains that Voldemort will arrive soon and asks McGonagall to evacuate the students from the school through Aberforth's secret passageway.

She gets help from the heads of houses, Flitwick, Slughorn, and Pomfrey. They defeat the Death Eater professors and Snape flees the scene out a window.

Harry asks Flitwick if he has ever seen Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem and Flitwick replies, "Nobody has seen it in living memory."

- Chapter 31 -
THE BATTLE OF HOGWARTS

Harry is inspired to seek out Nearly Headless Nick and ask him about Ravenclaw's diadem. Nearly Headless Nick tells Harry to ask the ghost of Ravenclaw tower: the Grey Lady.


Harry remembers seeing a diadem and a wig on top of a statue in the secret room that Tom Riddle presumed only he was aware of. Harry figures this must be Ravenclaw's diadem and he uses the Room of Requirement to find the secret room.

Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle follow the trio into the room and confront them. Harry bests Malfoy and takes his wand, then rescues him from flames.

Harry retrieves the last Horcrux and the Diadem is destroyed.

- Chapter 32 -
THE ELDER WAND

Now the only Horcrux left to destroy is Nagini.

Voldemort is hiding out in the Shrieking Shack with Nagini in a protective sphere. He summons Snape to him and Harry watches them talk while he hides under the cloak.

Voldemort has the Elder Wand but says it is not giving him its full magical potential because he is not the true master. He says Dumbledore got it from Grindelwald, whom he bested. Voldemort figures Snape is the wand's true master since Snape bested/killed Dumbledore.

And for Voldemort to become the Elder Wand's master, he is convinced he must best Snape.

Snape pleas for Voldemort to allow him to instead search for Potter, and then bring him to Voldie.


Harry collects Snape's memories in a vial, and then runs into the castle to use Dumbledore's pensieve and retrieve Snape's memories.
