Chapter One - The Boy Who Lived
We meet Vernon Dursley who goes to work, his wife Petunia and their spoilt son Dudley. We learn that they have a secret about Petunia's sister.
Then we meet Professor McGonagall and Albus Dumbledore. We learn that Lily and James Potter have been killed and that their son Harry is to come and live with his aunt and uncle. A man named Hagrid is bringing him.
They leave a letter that explains everything for Harry's new family.

Chapter Two - The Vanishing Glass
We get introduced to Harry Potter, a scrawny boy with black hair, green eyes and a lightning shaped scar on his forhead. Harry Potter lives in the Cuppboard under the stairs.
His spoilt cousin Dudley has his birthday and they are going to the zoo with one of Dudley's friends. Harry, who is mistreated, is to be with Mrs. Figg. However, she can't take care of him.
Harry is lucky enough to be allowed to come. He accidentaly sets a snake on his cousin, however, he does not know how he did it.

Chapter Three - The Letters from No One
Harry gets grounded for his longest term yet. Then one day a letter comes to him, he is not allowed to read the letter and his uncle tears it up. Then the next day two new letters come, and Harry is still now allowed them. This continues untill Uncle Vernon is majorily paranoid and the living room gets filled with letters. THen he takes them away to a hut on a rock in the sea, after a coupple days of driving.

Chapter Four - The Keeper of the Keys
A big man comes into the hut and he takes them all by surprise. He gives Harry the letter, which is about Harry being accepted to a wizarding school called Hogwarts.
The giant, who calls himself Hagrid, tells Harry that he is a wizard and explains a lot of Harry's background to him and about Voldemort. He congratualtes Harry with his birthday.

Chapter Five - Diagon Alley
Harry comes with Hagrid to London where he is introduced to the Diagon Alley, a hidden wizarding street. He also finds out that it is true that he is famous. Here we meet one of Harry's new teachers, professor Quirrel.
Harry and Hagrid does first go to Grigotts, the Wiard bank, run by goblins. They get some money of the that his parents left for him. Then they get something for Dumbledore, but Hagrid does not tell Harry what it is.
We follow him and Hagrid as they do their shopping. Rather interesting. At the end of the day, Harry must return for the Dursley's to wait for the term to begin.

Chapter Six - The Journey from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
Harry comes to King's Cross station and are supposed to take the train from platform nine and three-quarters. However, he does not know how to get there. However, he is lucky enough to meet a wizarding family, all with red hair. They tell him how to get to the platform.
When Harry sits on the train he hears the family talk about him outside the window. Later the youngest son comes into the compartment. The name of the boy is Ron Weasley.
This is a chapter where we meet many new characters. Ron Weasley, Harry's best friend. We meet Draco Malfoy again and his friends. Then a bosy and swotty girl named Hermione Granger and boy named Neville Longbottom.
Besides we get even more information about the Magical world.

Chapter Seven - The Sorting Hat
The first years get to Hogwarts by boat from the platform. Before they can be sorted they have to wait for a while.
We learn that it is a sorting hat that sorts the students into the four Hogwarts houses.
We get to know who McGonagall is and Snape, a teacher who dislikes Harry.

Chapter Eight - The Potions Master
This chapter starts with a wonderful description of Hogwarts.
It continiues on with visiting some of the classes. Especially emphasized is the one with Snape, the potions master. He seems to loath Harry as much as anyone can hate someone.
We also follow Harry to visit Hagrid with Ron tagging along. We learn that someone broke into a vault in Gringotts the day Hagrid and Harry were there. | |

Chapter Nine - The Midnight Duel
Harry is anticipating to try and fly a broom, but it doesn't seem that funny when they need to take those lessons with the Slytherins.
Neville screws up and breaks his wrist. When Madame Hooch, the flying teacher, leaves with the hospital wing, Malfoy picks of something of Neville's. Malfoy fly on a broom with the Remembral and Harry goes after him, even though they are told not to fly. He discover that it is very easy for him to fly. He gets caught by McGonagall, but since he is so good, he is to join the Quidditch team instead of punishment.
Malfoy is jalouse on Harry and dares him to a Wizard duel in the Trophy room the following night. They leave at midnight, but both Hermione and Neville follows. They nearly get caught by the caretaker, Filch. They end up in the forbinned corridor and face a three headed dog. They get back safe. | |

Chapter Ten - Halowe'en
Malfoy cannot believe that Harry is there the next day and Hermione will not speak to them.
Then Harry recieves a package containing a broom and Malfoy is jalouse. SInce first years are not allowed broom, he tries to tell a teacher, but they already know.
At Halowe'en Professor Quirrel runs into the Great Hall telling them that there is a Troll in the dungeons. Harry and Ron, go to save Hermione, who is in the batroom crying over something Ron said. They manage to overcome the troll. Hermione is now their friend. | |

Chapter Eleven - Quidditch
We get to see the first Quidditch match. Someone is jinxing Harry's broom so it is trying to throw him off. Hermione sees Snape doing it and she runs to set fire on his cloak.
Harry, Ron and Hermione is now sure that the dog is guarding is the thing Hagrid picked up at Gringotts and that Snape is trying to steal it. They say it to Hagrid and he wonders how they know about Fluffy. It turns out that Hagrid knows what is hidden there and he slips the name Nicholas Flamel to them. | |

Chapter Twelve - The Mirror of Erised
Both Harry and Ron are staying over the holidays. Harry gets real christmas presents for the first time in his life. Among them a sweather from Mrs. Weasley (Ron's mum) and an Invisibility Cloak. A note tells him that it was his father's, but not who gave it to him.
That night Harry goes to the Restricted section in the Library to look for Nicholas Flamel. However, he pics a screaming book, and must run. He ends up in a room with a big mirror. In the mirror he sees his family standing around him.
Harry brings Ron the next day, expecting him to see the same, but he sees something else.
HArry cannot get the mirror out of his mind and he returns the next night too. There he meets Dumbledore that explains what the mirror does. | |

Chapter Thirteen - Nicholas Flamel
Harry, Ron and Hermione find out who Nicholas Flamel and Hermione figures out what is hiddent there.
After the next Quidditch match, Harry sees Snape and Quirrel go into the Forst. Harry is curious and follows them on broom. He hears Snape threaten Quirrel to tell him if he knows how to get past Fluffy. | |

Chapter Fourteen - Norbert the Norwegian Ridgeback
Hagrid has been in the pub and won a dragon's egg. The egg hatches and Hagrid has the dragon for some time. Friends of Charlie are going to bring him to Romania where he works. However, Harry and HErmione, who are doing the job are caught out of bounds. THey recieve detention with Neville and Malfoy who were also out of bounds. | |

Chapter Fifteen - The Forbidden Forest
Harry, Hermione and Nevillle are higly unpopular because they lost Gryffidnor 150 points.
Also they need to serve their detention and the turns out that they have to go into the Forbidden Forest and look for a dead unicorn with Hagrid.
In the Forbidden Forest they meet Centaurs. Harry and Malfoy have to walk together because Malfoy scared Neville. Harry and Malfoy finds the unicorn and someone is drinking its blood. Harry's scar explode with pain, and as the creature come towards Harry, he is rescued by Firenze, a unicorn. He tells Harry that Snape want the stone for Voldemort, but in codes. | |

Chapter Sixteen - Through the Trapdoor
Harry's scar keeps burning as it has done for some time.
We follow them through their finals. Then Harry realizes that the one that Hagrid won the dragon's egg of must be Snape. Harry then asks him about it and Hagrid reveals to them how to get past Fluffy. And Hagrid realizes he had told the stranger.
Harry, Ron and Hermione realize that Snape has gone to get the stone and they uses the knowledge of how to get past Fluffy. Then we follow them through the obstacles. Only Harry gets to the final chamber. | |

Chapter Seventeen - The Man With the Two Faces
We find out that it is not Snape that was after the stone, but someone else. The scene is very cool and we get a lot of things explaned Harry fights the person and nearly die.
Harry wakes up in the hospital wing some days later and Harry and Dumbledore have a talk about things.
Then we see the end of year feast and that they go home after the school year ends. | |
