That's Why She's Not a Diamond, but a Star...
Since she was younger, Gemma has always wanted to be the shining gem that her parents often called her. She adored the idea of one day finding happiness, prosperity and be fortunate enough to live a full life. Gemma loved the idea of a big poofy gown and running off into the sunset with her Prince Charming, especially since her parents always seemed so in love. But that quickly changed when her mother and father divorced and her father gained full-custody when Gemma was 10. Her father remarried Kianna two years later when Gemma was 12 and that changed Gemma a bit.

Gemma no longer believes in the idea of true love, though she does like the idea of it. She doesn't like the idea of herself falling in love though, but she doesn't mind seeing others together. Gemma started to read, she always loved her fairytales but it branched out to historical fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, science fiction, and many more. She picked up a newspaper every now and then to catch up on the news and she rather enjoyed reading magazines that talked about other people's lives - it made her own life seem less complicated and Gemma liked that idea.

Gemma can be a bit shy at times, especially when it comes to people of the opposite gender and music. When she was younger her mother would tell her that she had a beautiful voice and a talent. But Gemma would freeze up when she was in front of people so she stopped singing aloud. Occasionally one might hear her humming but she would just blush and say that it wasn't her. Gemma often hums to herself when she's afraid or she's alone.

She hates being in the spotlight and pushes other in front of her. Gemma can be a bit timid but she's a strong girl who will stand up for herself if she needs to. Simone is very spunky. She loves to be around friends and have fun. She is very studious and usually ends up helping her friends at Beauxbatons with their homework. She is incredibly determined.

Simone was adopted by the de Lioncourt's when she was 6. She had been bounced around from foster home to foster home until then. She hated living until she met her adoptive family. With them, she actually felt like she was a part of their family, unlike the other families she had lived with.

When Simone was 11, she was accepted to Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft in the south of France. Her parents were overjoyed. They didn't know what it was, but they knew that it would give their daughter a chance to change her stars. And if they had to say good bye for a year at a time, they were willing to do it to help her.

Once there, she met Odette and Colette. They were the only girls that were remotely nice to her. At least that's how she felt. anyways, she still became fast friends with them.

History

Sam was in a Magical Orphanage for a very short time, partly because the people who worked at the Orphanage couldn't take her ruthless pranks, and partly because she was a very cute child. Sam: Yeah right. A kind wizarding couple, Micheal and Virginia, came and picked her up when she was three years old and gave her everything she ever wanted - except a real family. Sure, she grew to love them, but the first few years were tough. Her 'parents' nurtured her love for pranks, buying her Potions sets to experiment with and such. Sammy is actually extremely talented at Potions, she just doesn't apply herself. Sam: Oh, so now you're the Potions Proffesor?

Colette was orphaned at age 2, and placed in one of the wizarding orphanages in France. She was found a few months later by Raphael and Claire Avancee, and adopted by them almost immediately.

Colette grew to be beautiful, looking somewhat similar to her adoptive sister, Odette. The two of them were close, nearly inseparable. Growing up together, Colette never seemed to understand her sister's fear of animals. She loved animals, especially squirrels.

She's a really nice person, and it's impossible not to like her. She's had her fair share of boyfriends too, and really doesn't mind breaking hearts all that much.

Roman Drot was born to two very loving, rich, parents in Romania. He is an only child. You know what comes next. Roman was spoiled...A LOT. Now, he isn't so spoiled that he throws a fit when he doesn't get his way(he's too mature for that), but he does know how to manipulate to get his way. He's very charming, he will CHARM THE PANTS OFF YOU!

When he had to decide where to go school, he immediately decided Durmstrang. His father went there, and his grandfather before, and etc...Roman didn't want to break the tradition. So he went to Durmstrang. And he absolutely loved it. He met his future best bud on the first day, Stefan. Roman could remember standing all somber, waiting to be let into the grand hall of the school, and Stefan told a joke. Roman began to laugh, and was immediately scolded by some professor...they were friends ever since. Roman thought it was funny!

As the years went by, Roman did not exactly excel at school. He only made enough to get by...he was far too occupied with quidditch and girls. Roman is a LADIES MAN. He knows how to treat a girl in way that makes her...LOVE HIM. Like I said before, he is CHARMING. He is very fickle, though, and these relationships are merely fun for him. Heartbreaker. And Quidditch? He's a beater, and a pretty good one at that. He has his down days, but he performs well most of the time.
