SCENE 1 - Aiden and Ella, after Ella moves in


Gahhhhhhh.

Aiden could barely believe this. A house. Ella moving in. And then the little big surprise Aiden had planned for a little later. All so surreal.

The boxes and furniture from Ella's flat were all moved in, and by the time they got to eat dinner - which was, of course, pasta and garlic bread because that's all Aiden could cook - it was already after eight. He cleaned the plates with the help of a bit of magic, then retreated to the living room so that he could plop down onto the sofa much like one of the limp noodles that was now in his stomach. "You know, I didn't realize how much stuff you had until we moved it in here," he smiled, padding the spot beside him so she'd snuggle against him. Heh.

This felt so WEIRD. Even though Ella had always been a regular visitor to Aiden's place, the fact that she now lived there too was just crazy. It was awesome, though. And it proved that at least something positive came out of her time at Hogwarts.

After dinner, (which was quite a similar meal to what Ella had the last time she had dinner here), she felt a little bit... awkward. It really hadn't clicked that this was officially her new home. To her, this was still Aiden's place. She smiled at him from across the room, then after his gesture, she skipped towards him and flopped down beside him on the sofa. "Well, you know.. I am a girl." She chuckled. Maybe not as girly as others, but girls generally had lots of stuff, regardless.
Snuggling against Aiden, Ella sighed and looked around the room, "what ya wanna do, roomie?" Hehe, rooooooomie! This felt good, and so right!

Aiden grinned as he watched her skip on over and hop into the place beside him. Enter content sigh here. "True. And now it won't seem so emptyish." Having his own place was great, but it was also weird living alone. Not that Ella wasn't over all the time before, but now it was official!

She asked what he wanted to do and his hand moved slightly, feeling the small box in his pocket. "Well.... we can do whatever we want. It's our house!" Our house, in the middle of the street. Our house.... Anyway. The point is - they had free reign. heh. He looked over at her. "Hide and seek?" Grinning a bit, he gave a quiet laugh. "I've decided that it's a requirement for any person moving into a new place, no matter what age." That was the best excuse that would come off the top of his head to make her play this. "Although you have to seek first."

Ella smiled and nodded. She understood how living by yourself in a massive house wouldn't be too much fun. "Awh, were you lonely without moi?" She looked up at him with her head rested on his shoulder.

*flail* She really needed to establish to herself that she officially lived here now. It wasn't just Aiden's house, it was Aidella's house. "Right.. Gotta get used to that." She smiled awkwardly.
Hmmmm, hide and seek? Ella eyed him curiously. Since when did she shack up with such a big kid? Heh, but of course, Ella would agree. "Sure..." She already agreed when he continued with an explanation. "OK. Whatever floats your boat, love." She laughed, then stood up, ready for action. Wait.... she had to seek first? Owwwww. With her arms folded, she huffed. "Fine. Give me the boring part, why don't you....." Ella commented sarcastically.

"Okay, I'll go and count in the kitchen." She sent Aiden a wink, then dashed off to count. This was ridiculous, Ella hadn't played hide or seek since she was about... 7 years old...

Aiden smiled at her question and looked down at her, noticing how the angle made her eyes seem even larger than normal. "Oh, very lonely. I was forced to resort to talking to myself, you know." Heh. Not really, but he came quite close at times.

When he thought about it, Aiden pretty much already saw it as their house before she even moved in. He doubted there'd be any trouble for either of them adjusting. When she agreed to the whole 'hide and seek' bit, he hid a smile and nodded. "Thanks, love." he said, standing up after her. Thank Merlin she agreed. Already, his heartbeat was beginning to beat faster with nervousness. Hehh. Her seeker role wouldn't be boring for long!

"Right, the kitchen sounds good," he spoke while she trodded off towards the room. "Oh, and count to one hundred, okay? That's the rules.." 'Cause one hundred seconds would be ample time to set up, especially considering he was a wizard. Wink wink.

He watched until she disappeared into the kitchen, and the moment she said "one," he hurried over to the end table drawer and yanked it open, grabbing the candles he had stolen borrowed from Madison. Being as silent as possible, he placed them all around the living room before muttering a simple 'lacarnum inflamarae' and lighting the candles, one of them even giving off some vanilla-y sort of smell that he found rather pleasant.

Once he was finished, he flicked off the lights and did a quick once-over of the room, then padded down any wrinkles that may have been in his pants or shirt. 'Kay, good to go. Now he waited, standing in the middle of the room, his anxiousness heightening with every number that neared one hundred..

Ella frowned. "You shouldn't admit those sort of things to your girlfriend." Her frown turned into a chuckle. Obviously, he was kidding. She hoped so anyway. :/
Wooows, he really did wanna play hide and seek, didn't he? But of course, if it meant sooo much to her Aiden, then she would comply.

One hundred?! "Oh, Merlin's sake." She muttered under her breathe, then held her hands over her eyes and audibly counted to that bloomin' large number. "One, two, three, four....." Her voice turned a bit frustrated after she hit about 60 seconds, but she continued regardless. When she finally got to one hundred, her eyes opened and she grinned, leaving the kitchen as she finished. "Comin' to get chooo -" She let the 'ooooo' drag on, but it faded into silence when she entered the next room. Her first thought was, what sort of a hiding place is that?

Moments later, she took in the surroundings. It was dark, only lit with candles, and a pretty-smelly-smell was in the air. "What's all this?" She asked, finally looking back at Aiden. Not that it wasn't lovely, it was just surprising. Especially when Ella looked all gross. Maybe it was a special romantic date.... Oh, MERLIN - Ella really needed to change her clothes.

"Found you... by the way." She teased with a grin. Clearly, the hide and seek thing was just a ploy. But props to Aiden, 100 seconds to prepare all this was pretty impressive.

Finally....... 100!

He watched as she came out into the room accompanied by a long, drawn-out 'chooooooooo' that he found amusing. But he needed to FOCUS. This would be the exact sort of thing that he could trust himself to mess up and he was not going to do that.

"Well, it's... candles.." Oh my Gaahhd, lame. He needed to stay on track, and he quickly shook his head, forgetting about an explanation. That was to come. The side of his mouth pulled upwards slightly. Yes, he'd been found in a matter of, what, two seconds. "Guess I'm not great at hiding, huh?"

Ookay, he need to do this now.

He walked over closer to Ella, cracking his knuckles against his side as he did so. "The real reason for all this is because I wanted to ask you something," he told her, meeting her eyes and smiling as he spoke his last words, which were - most likely - a dead giveaway. With his heart hammering against his chest, Aiden swallowed hard and kneeled down on one knee as his hand found the small box in his pocket. He took it out and looked up at her, completely excited and nervous and basically all-around adrenaline-rushed. "Ella, I've been in love with you since I was sixteen, and I think I've always known you were the one. I.. want to grow old with you and turn into one of those weird cat people with you and be a 'social butterfly' with you," he said, his smile widening and the words rolling off his tongue easier than he had expected. He paused for a fraction of a second. "And I want to marry you." Keeping his blue eyes on her face, he opened the box to reveal the diamond engagement ring. Anticipation coursed through his veins and he spoke the words. The question. "So, Ella Ainsworth, will you marry me?"

Candles. Right, that made Ella look stupid. Of course they were candles, but she just wanted to know why there was candles, what was the point of them? She waited... but it didn't look like Aiden was going to explain further. Okay then. She smiled too "Apparently not." Bless 'im.

Ella cringed as he cracked his knuckles, she really hated it when he did that, but she got it, bad habits or whatever. Once she shook that off, she nodded curiously when he said he wanted to ask her something. Well, it was clearly a good thing, otherwise the candles wouldn't be here. She waited, expecting a question like, 'shall we buy a cat?' That would be the perfect +1 to their house. But his next moves threw her completely off guard.

"Aiden, wha -" She began, but got distracted as Aiden got down on one knee, which could only mean one thing, right? ... Nah, Ella was convinced that it was a joke, but then the tiny box was pulled out and Ella instantly held her hand to her heart, as if she was about to have a heart attack. A smile grew wider on her face when he continued speaking. It was all so romantic, and she chuckled at his little added comments about 'social butterflies'. N'aw! She knew it was coming now, but when he said the word 'marry', her heart fluttered. Actually, it jumped.

"So, Ella Ainsworth, will you marry me?"
Her eyes darted to the ring. It was beautiful, and it made Ella think that Aiden must've really gone to a lot of effort here. She looked back at him, even feeling a little bit teary, then nodded. "Y-Yes." That sounded convincing.... "Yes, of course I'll marry you."
Her smile was the biggest it had EVER been in her whole life now.

Aiden waited, looking up at her for an answer; if he were sitting, he'd be on the edge of his seat. Or would've fallen off of it. Her smile and overall reaction gave him a lot of reassurance, but he wanted to hear it...

And then he did; she said yes! YES! Without a second thought, he stood up in one fluid motion, wrapping his arms around her and bringing her off the ground. He laughed, unable to contain any of his enthusiasm while simultaneously releasing all the pent-up nerves from before. As he let her feet back onto the ground, still beaming madly, he leaned forward and kissed her gently before deepening it more. But.. it was cut a little short as he suddenly remembered - duh! He pulled back a little and looked down at the ring that was still in his hand. "Heh, almost forgot.." he said with a chuckle, glancing at her before taking her left hand with his free hand and sliding the ring onto her finger with the other. Ta da. "Well, it fits, so that is a good sign, right?" He grinned, still awestruck about all this. And if he thought this was surreal, he could only imagine Ella's feelings - she was out of the loop until a minute ago!

Merlin's beard. Engaged! Of all the great memories Aiden had accumulated through his twenty-six years, nothing held a candle to this moment.

Still a bit taken off guard, Ella was suddenly lifted into air and got spun around. It would be fun if she didn't feel so queasy, but she managed to laugh along with him. It was a movie moment. Heh!
Once her feet were placed on the ground again, she sighed in relief. "Merlin -" But before she could fit another word in, she was brought into a kiss. It felt so much more... meaningful than any of their other kisses. But tonight's events had completely reassured her about the future. They were getting married, and that meant they would be together for the rest of their lives. He broke off from the kiss, and Ella wondered why he did so soo quickly.

Oh, the ring. Despite how most girls would react to pretty jewellery, Ella was most preoccupied of the thought of marrying! *flail* She beamed as he placed it on her finger. "Aiden, it's beautiful." She smiled, gazing in admiration at her new ring. Moments later, she looked back up at him with the same smile. "Thank you." She said, grabbing hold of his hands.

"I love you." She said calmly, then hugged him tightly. She took a breathe, finally relaxing.

"Oh, thank Merlin. You're damn hard to shop for!" Aiden laughed, though was extremely relieved that she was fond of his selection for the ring. As long as she was happy with it, he just liked what it meant, and it meant he had dibs on Ella Ainsworth! For.. eternity! Or whatever happened when one died.

When she took hold of his hands and looked at him like that, he all but melted right on the spot. Awh, shucks. He held her closely, hugging her. "I love you, too," he smiled into her hair. Mmmm sigh.

Oh, but there was one more surprise for tonight and Aiden figured that he better let this one out there now as well. Although it wasn't nearly as important as the engagement surprise, it was still a big decision. Which...if he knew Ella at all, he was almost positive he knew the answer to. "I have another question, Ella," he said, when he released her from the hug, still keeping his hands on her back.

"When are we getting our cat?" Heheh.

"I am not. I would accept any gift from you, sweetheart." Ella grinned and winked. It was probably a lie though, if Aiden got her an edible ring, then she'd sure throw a tantrum. Now, when were they going to actually get married? That question played on Ella's mind, but she decided to ask a bit later on...

Who'd have thought that this guy would have so many issues with commitment, all those years ago. Whilst they were hugging, Ella smiled as he returned the 'I love you'. He probably felt her cheeks move as she smiled so much. Just when Ella got comfortable, he decided to spring on another question. She pulled back and stared at him curiously. "More surprises?" Was it okay that she was nervous?

Bahah, a cat. How crazy that Ella was actually thinking about that earlier today. It would be so CUTE that Aidella would own a cat together.
"Oh, as soon as possible. It ain't official until we have got our own cat." She stated with a nod. Cos they were both cat-peoples, hehe.

How excitin'!

"I'll keep that in mind," Aiden smiled. Luckily Ella wasn't too picky about things like that, but he still wanted to get a ring that she liked, of course. It appeared that Ella was about to ask something else, but when no such question came, he thought nothing of it and moved on to their next discussion.

Which was felines. xD "Well, then. In that case, let's get one tomorrow." 'Cause if a cat made things official, then he wanted it to be official ASAP! He finally sat down on the couch, dragging her down with him, then turned to her. It wasn't surprising that their conversation was about to transition back to the marriage; he was still in the afterglow of proposing and Aiden just liked thinking about the idea of it all. "So, have you thought about what kind of wedding you wanted, or are you not sure yet?" As long as it wasn't in the peak of summer when he'd probably melt to a puddle in a tux, he was open to anything.

"I mean, I'm not saying you shouldn't buy me extra nice things, or anything..." Did she just land herself in it? She cleared her throat, then looked down at her ring again. SQUEE, so perty! But the fact that it came from Aiden made it mean so much more. If Ella saw it in a shop window, she would probably ignore it completely.

Tomorrow! Ella tried not to squeal with excitement. Cute little kittens were her weakness. She flopped onto the couch beside Aiden, then snuggled closely to him. "Great! Yay...... so, a boy or a girl?" Trust Aiden and Ella to discuss cats as soon as they just got engaged. Cue the eye roll, hehe.
Oh, she was glad that he wanted to talk about the wedding arrangements already. They were on the right page then. "Umm.. not sure. I'm still in total shock." So there wasn't much room for thinking. "But... a big do would be nice. Maybe with our friends from school around?" People from the place where Aidella met. What could be better? Seeing as the whole proposal was all on Aiden's part, Ella guessed that he had probably had thoughts about their wedding, so she returned the questions. "What're your thoughts?"

"Of course," Aiden smiled. "But for now a ring and a cat should suffice, I think." He chuckled and followed her gaze down to the ring on her finger. Now Ella couldn't rock out to 'Single Ladies.' Hahh.. not that she did before or anything.. Right. Anyway.. He brought his hand over and held hers, his smile widening as he felt the diamond against his hand.

Decisions, decisions. Boy cat, girl cat? As long as they had a cat, he'd be satisfied. Although.. "How about a boy? I hear they're more friendly than the females." Generally speaking, of course. Aaand they moved on from cats to weddings with ease. He nodded when she admitted to still being in a state of shock about all this, but he was glad to hear a bit of input in spite of it. "A big one sounds great to me," he agreed, now all excited. heh. "Not too big and not too small." His other hand went to his chin as she returned the question. Really, he didn't know what to think. Wait, how do you even plan a wedding..?! He shook his head slightly, reminding himself not to worry about any of that when they had only just gotten engaged. "I kind of like the idea of an outdoors one.. if you want to, that is." The only problem they could encounter with that was weather was quite the factor in outdoor weddings..

"Oh, definitely. A ring and a cat iss perfect." Of course Ella wasn't expecting Aiden to buy her expensive gifts all the time, ssheesh. She smiled when he held her hand, then turned her head up to look at him. With a happy sigh, she leaned forwards and kissed him. Ah, this is the life.

"Pebbles was a girl...." Ella muttered, still looking down at her ring. Then, looking up, she nodded. "But okay, we can get a boy if you want." It didn't really matter, but it just meant that they'd never get a bunch of babby-kitties one day. Ah well. Back to the wedding talk, and Ella's head was jumping for joy. Thank Merlin she found a man who didn't have an 'I don't care' attitude to this sort of thing. YAY, big wedding it is!
"An outdoor wedding sounds great! We should probably have it in the summer then. Just to add to the perfectness." She smiled sweetly. Eee, cuteadorable images of their soon to be outdoor wedding day filled her head.

"So, who's gonna be your best man?" Meeeeeerlin, Ella was really going through all the details. They had only just got engaged. She cleared her throat awkwardly.

If only everything in life went so swimmingly.

Anyway. Good, so the rings and cats were 'perfect.' "You're perfect," he smiled as he leaned closer to meet her in a kiss. At least since their mouths were busy, Ella couldn't object to his comment, which he was almost sure she would have done. heheh.

"Ah yes, Pebbles.." The gender of their kitten didn't really matter too much, so he shrugged a little and looked back to her. "Well, how about we just see which kitten we like best, and we get that one," he concluded. That way, they didn't base it on gender, but more on personality and all that. Ohh, goody! The outdoor wedding was a 'yes.' "Great! Yeah, definitely; I was thinking summer, too. Less rain and.. well, just better weather." He grinned, now all pumped for this to get going. Married! In less than a year's time, Aidella would be married!

Ah yess, best man. Aiden didn't even have to think on it. "Patrick, of course," he answered with an easy nod. How strange that the two had despised each other and then, somehow, turned into best mates. Or how his fiance and his best mate had dated at one point. Oh, the irony. "What about your maid of honor?"

N'awww, bless him. Aiden was so mushy. The kiss interupted her response, but she smiled contently throughout. Finally pulling back, she said, "you're perfect too." They could be happy being perfect together. A perfect couple. Yippeeeeee.

Mhm, Pebbles. Ella's Hogwarts pet who was now an old cat who lived with her parents. She had thought about bringing her along to live with her and Aiden, but maybe a new cat would be better. 'Cause then it could be their cat. Wow, how lame is she?
"Good idea." She said enthusiastically. It didn't matter what gender the cat was, if it wasn't a nice cat, then they weren't gonna get it. "I'm alllll excited now. For our cat, and our wedding." She said with a grin.
"I still can't believe it.. we're getting married." It sounded weird to say. Despite that this was probably most girls dreams, it hadn't crossed Ella's mind too much. Probably because things were already perfect with Aiden, and she didn't want it to change in any way. Oh well, marriage made it all official, where's the harm in that?

Facepalm. Duh, of course it would be Patrick. "Right, of course." Strangely, Ella still felt a bit uneasy whenever she was around Patrick, due to their past and all... Her maid of honour? Hmmmm, "I dunno." Ella didn't have too many close friends. She guessed that it would be Trixie, but she would probably think a bit more carefully about it before mentioning it to Aiden.

Heheh, the perfect couple. How loverly.

New cat, new roomie, new - well, only - marriage. If it doesn't rain, it pours! But, in a good way, of course. A most marveloussss way. "I feel the same way," he laughed. Then again, that's how they were supposed the feel - wouldn't want to be depressed about getting married, where was the sense in that?!

"I know, it's hard to wrap your mind around, you know? You'll be Mrs. Chevalier." Wow, strange! Oddly enough, one of the first things that came to his mind was how hard it would probably be for her to change her signature. There you are, writing one name for twenty-some years of your life, then you suddenly have to switch to a new one!

Aiden nodded. "Well, you've got time to decide," he said with a shrug. "Madison will probably be devastated if she's not a bridesmaid, though." heh. But it was really up to Ella with whatever her selection would be. So long as Ella was the bride and Aiden the groom, they'd be good to go.

"Good, 'cause I thought I sounded a bit freaky." She was getting a little bit over-excited. But, this had never happened to Ella before, so she really had no idea how she was supposed to feel/react.

"I hadn't even thought about marriage." She spoke her mind, trailing off slightly. Snapping back into the conversation, she looked sharply at Aiden. "I mean, I am happy that we are getting married, I just was surprised." Phew, she didn't wanna freak him out there, and make it seem like it was a bad idea. It was a good idea. Yep, yep.
"Ella Chevalier." She said repeatedly. "Eleanor Chevalier.... It sounds good, doesn't it? That's 'cause we are so destined to be together." She beamed, then kissed him on the tip of his nose.

HEhe. "Of course Madison will be a bridesmaid." It was sort of a rule, wasn't it? The groom's sister should be a bridesmaid. Whatever, Ella didn't mind because Madison was great. "I think I'll have Trixie as my maid of honour." Her cousin would loooooove that. Ella nodded, to confirm. Right, done. Wam bam.

Ella yawned. She was sleepeh.

SCENE 2 - The Wedding



And, just as planned, it was on a late summer day in August that Aiden and Ella were to be married.

Of course, it pretty much had to be a bit later in the summer - it was an outdoor wedding, for Merlin's sake; they couldn't have all their guests frying up in the midsummer temperatures and having heat stroke or something.

Lucky for the pair, they could not have asked for a better day.

Two sections of white, padded seats grace the green grass, leaving room for the aisle in between them. As your eyes follow up the aisle, they eventually land upon a white arch. Ivory-colored cloth drapes carefully about it as white lilies and canary roses add to the aesthetics. The decor takes on a similar theme throughout the covered reception area. Circular bulbs of light suspend magically from thin air both above the area of matrimony and above the tables for the reception.

A small stone building right by the whole set up is where the husband and wife to-be are finishing up getting ready with their small, respective wedding party. Meanwhile, guests file into the seats and chatter before the ceremony begins.




Aiden looked into the mirror and fidgeted with the black bow tie, a bow tie that needed no fixing. This had to be the hardest part - all this waiting was so nerve-wracking. He sifted his fingers through his hair, then stopped, cursing himself as he realized he just messed up his hair. The twenty-seven-year-old quickly attempted to fix it, doing a half-decent job before losing his patience and turning to look at his best mate. "You sure the tie looks okay?"

Oh, stuff the tie! heh heh. He really didn't care about it, he just wanted to marry Ella. A sappy smile pulled on his lips as he thought about Ella walking up the aisle to where he'd be. Siiiiiiighhhh.

AHEM. Anyway. "So, does all this wedding stuff bring back memories of yours and Vanessa's?" That was a pretty stupid question.. Of course it must have! Sheesh, their wedding seemed like only yesterday.. The man was tempted to peek out the window to check out who was down in the seating area, but he restrained himself. He liked surprises and he wanted that to be a surprise, too. Even though he knew who was coming, anyway. So instead, he smiled and looked to Patrick again. "Five minutes, man."

Five minutes!

The slightly amused 28 year old stood leaning against the wall behind Aiden with his arms crossed against his chest. This obviously couldn't be any better then watching his best mate fidget uncontrollably, panicking about his wedding. Those were the good old times. "It looks fine mate," Patrick assured him, standing upright. "Stop fixing it. I'm sure Ella will still want to marry you even if your tie is a little crooked." He smiled and walked up beside him and fixed his own tie.

The man couldn't help but notice he was looking pretty good himself. It had been a while since he had dressed up this nice. As he looked in the mirror he took note on how much older he looked compared to when he and Vanessa first got married. Marriage did something on you he could sure say that. Speaking of Vanessa, where was his lovely wife? Probably being friendly and helpful as always.

His thoughts were interrupted as Aiden spoke once more. "You bet it does. Although I remember me being in more of a panic," he chuckled. "Don't worry, once you see her, all worries will seem to disappear," the man told him, patting him on the back a bit. He looked down at his watch as he heard Aiden say 5 more minutes. They better start heading down to take their places. He had to walk Trixie down the aisle.

"TRIXIE. Where in Merlin's beard are my shoes?" How could she have an outdoor wedding without shoes? It was out of the question. Ella was fully dressed now, in a long, traditionally white dress. And obviously, it made her feel insecure because she really wasn't a dress person. "Trixie.... did I even buy shoes?!" Now she could panic. It's not like she could wear trainers out there.....

Suddenly realising that they didn't have a lot of time left until the ceremony began, Ella wandered to the window and looked everywhere for her Husband-to be. Well, thank Merlin he wasn't there yet. That bought her time. With a sigh, she looked back into the mirror.
"Oww, I look ugly." She moaned, then looked over at her cousin for support. She really hoped that she didn't feel like this all day.

Trixie, dressed in a pretty dress and feeling like normal, considering SHE was the girly girl in the room here, rolled her eyes at her cousin, who basically was freaking out. "Yes, we bought them the other day, remember.." she reassured her cousin, after a light giggle. She was SO nervous it was amusing. "They're here" Trixie picked up the heels before handing them over to Ella. "Calm down your gonna be fine" she grinned.

The blonde fixed her hair slightly whilst Ella wandered over to the window. The whispy bit that didn't seem to fit with the rest of her loose curls. "Ella there is no way on this Earth that you DON'T look pretty" her eyebrow raised but she returned a genuine grin. "Now come here, there's a piece of hair that's annoying me" she laughed.
