This thread takes place about a year after the 2074 school term. It is now June 2075 starting off and this thread will continue into the future.
James has legally adopted his niece and nephew. He has also met and fallen in love with a woman who is hurting still inside over some very dark things that have happened in her life. He watches and waits for the time to be right to make his intentions known. Will Mizuki ever be ready for him? Danielle and Daniel are Fraternal Twins, very alike in some ways, not so alike in others. Dan is three minutes older than his twin. He likes Quidditch and photography He attends Drumstrang and is best friends with Connor Campbell.
Dani on the other hand loves pink and she loves chocolate and things that are not good for her. She loves fashion and holds inside her a crush on a young man who may never see her as anthing more than a little sister.
Will drama erupt when Mizuki and Connor visit? How will Danielle take her Uncle dating the mother of her crush? Will Danielle ever make Connor see her as more than a little sister with a schoolgirl crush on his Veela half?
All this and more shall we find out together if you care to open the door and come on in!

James shouted to his nie.... no, she was his daughter now. "Danielle?! Can you get down here please? They'll be here soon" he called as he moved through to the kitchen and took a sip of the Butterbeer he'd poured out for himself. He smiled as he thought of his Zuzu, Mizuki. She was beautiful... incredible... amazing! And the list could just go on and on and on...

Danielle moved down from upstairs, her pink dress maybe that little bit too short, but oh well- what's life if you don't live it?! She smirked as she looked in the mirror, checking her curls before going through to her Dad. "How do I look?" she laughed as she asked him.

James frowned but rolled his eyes- "You look fine, Danielle" he said before noticing Daniel come into the room, he looked suitably smart- skinny jeans and a shirt, James watched both him and Danielle- they really were so similar!

Dan wondered what this visit would be like... he was glad James had found someone though, glad it was Mizuki.

Luke came into the kitchen wearing a pair of pressed Khaki's and a button down blue shirt with loafers and no socks. He wore a gold chain with a small golden snitch charm around his neck. He smiled but his smile did not extend to his eyes. "Forget half a dress at the store kitten?" he asked his sister, He turned and poured himself a coffee.

Mizuki smoothed her red kimono with the gold trim and cherry blossom pattern. She spatted her perfect hair nervously and shifted her purse on her shoulder. She hadn't visited James at his home, concerned that it would be inappropriate. She loved him very much but she wanted to make sure she wasn't jumping into something too soon. She reached up and knocked on the door.

Connor stood beside her holding his bag, her bag and christmas gifts for everyone. "Geez mom could you have packed for only one year? he complained.

Dani rolled her eyes- "Haha, very funny Lukey boy" she smirked as she heard the knock at the door. She glanced at her Dad and brothers- "Why don't we all go answer it?" she laughed as she moved from the room.

Dan followed his sister, excited to see Connor again- it had definately been a while- what with him being at Durmstrang and Dani and Connor at Hogwarts.

James breathed out deeply, nervously- why was he nervous?! It was just natural. He moved after the kids and went to open the door first- smiling at his guests- "Hey! Come on in!" he said, beckoning them into the house. He smiled even wider at the sight of Mizuki- she was so beautiful, so beautiful.

Dani grinned- "Hello!" she said cheerily to them, smiling at Connor warmly first before his Mum.
Dan smirked- "Connor" he acknowledged with his usual mischevious grin. "Been a while" he laughed as he went to give his friend a man hug.

Luke Rolled his eyes at his sister. He picked up his coffee mug and took a sip of the refreshing brew before going to the door where he noticed his best friend was being mauled by Dani and Dan. He bent down to pick up the bags. "Geez you'd think he didn't practically live here the way you two are acting!" He'd get his chance to say a proper hello soon enough, meanwhile he turned to his Dad. "You want Mizuki's bag in your room?" He asked before carrying Connor's stuff up to his room.

Mizuki smiled warmly at Dani and Dan. She reached out and hugged them both. Then she turned to James, a bit nervously and wrapped her arms around his waist in a hug, it irked her sometimes just how short she was barely coming up to the middle of Jame's chest, she could not even kiss her boyfriend on the cheek unless he bent down. She looked up at him and smiled. "Happy Christmas." She wished him. This was going to be a wonderful Christmas and the start of a wonderful year she just knew it. Tomorrow was the most magical day of the year, Christmas Day.

Connor hugged his friends Dan and Dani, With Dani it was a bit awkward because their friendship was stretching and testing it's boundaries, He wasn't sure what to call it but they were definitely getting close and that frightened him at times. He rubbed his burn scarred right hand, having asked Healer Moretti to leave the scar because it reminded him not to jump into things too fast and not to jump into the fire because you get burned. "Hey you two." He smiled as he took off his leather coat and hung it up in the closet. "What's on the agenda for the evening?" he asked.

James nodded at Luke and turned to kiss his love- yes, he did have to bend down a little but oh well, he kissed her softly- "And a Happy Christmas to you too, my love" he said softly as he smiled adoringly at her.

Danielle watched on and smiled at James, well her Dad and Mizuki. It was cute, even if it had been a little weird at first... Mizuki was her best friend's Mum. She smirked before turning back to Connor and Dan. "Well, Dan and I have a tradition- we always go for a 'walk and talk'" she started. Dan laughed- "That sounds so cheesy when you say it like that... we basically like to go for a walk on Christmas Eve- and now we've got the nice forest out the back of here, it was usually to escape from our parents arguing- no, it was always to escape from our parents arguing, they couldn't help themselves even on Christmas Eve, but it became a bit of a tradition- we thought we could go do that. And then... we don't mind" he shrugged as he smiled at Connor. Dani sighed- "I don't mind what else we do... watch movies?" she gestured for the guys to follow her upstairs. They wandered passed her very pink room. Dan could never help but smirk when he saw this room- it was ridiculously bright pink. He watched as Dani gestured she'd be one minute to go the the bathroom. Dan took his chance. He dived into her room and opened up her drawer, pulling out the pink diary. "I've been dying to read this" he smirked, he wasn't a mean person, he was just genuinely intersted as to what rubbish his sister wrote in her diary. He flicked through and smirked at a few things. He laughed as he showed Connor- "She's planning her wedding already" he smirked, the drawing of the wedding dress only slightly worrying him, he didn't really want to imagine his sister getting married. He then looked through a little more and noticed what was written about Connor- he shut the book quickly. Dani appeared and grabbed it from his hands- "Seriously, Dan?" she said, annoyance in her voice as she shoved it back into the drawer.

Connor smiled. "I think maybe after the walk we could sit up and watch Christmas movies and stuff ourselves with eggnog and Christmas junk food." He smiled and put his arms around Dani to hug her again then let go. He went into his room, dug out his gifts for everyone and stacked them up to put them under the Christmas tree in a bit. He went over to his bag and dug out his Slytherin sweatshirt and threw it on after taking off his plain black t-shirt. He unpacked right quick, he flopped across the bed and wondered two things. When the gang was going to ambush him again and what time dinner was.

Luke unloaded Mizuki's stuff into his dad's room and then went to go hang out with his bestie for a bit. He sat on Connor's bed. "Dude what's up, you don't seem like yourself." He knew Connor was like learning to control his emotions and stuff but this silent guy laying across the bed was not himself. "Whatever happened to my bestie? Life and soul of the party?"

Mizuki smiled happily and then took off her heels hating to wear them at all even if Mom and Dad and Camelia and Heather might show up. Her adoptive family knew her by now and she hated shoes. "What's for dinner love?"

Dani went and stood in Connor's room's doorway as she watched him and Luke- she turned around, not wanting to interrupt so she left and went to go change, pulling on some boots and looking into the mirror.

"You okay?" Dan asked as he watched his sister- he noticed her nod and rolled his eyes before following her in- "Don't let it get to you- y'know, he's your best friend and now... practically your brother- let that be good enough for now" he said finally. "Dani, it's not exactly hard for you to find a guy" he smirked before holding her hand and pulling her up. "Come on, let's go fetch him" he laughed as he led her from her bedroom and through to Connor's room.

James smiled- "Steak" he said softly- "It's a little tradition. It's what I've always done for the kids- since they were little when I had to look after them every Christmas" he said with a smile. He shook his head when the kids were gone- "I'm still annoyed, that their parents were just so happy with this. Luke practically brought up those kids, he really did- he was what... 8 or 9 and he had to help the twins with teething and nappy changes... it's just..." he sighed, wishing he'd done something sooner.

Connor laid his head on his arms. "I don't really know man, I've changed a lot, I used to hide behind the party but I was doing that to hide who I am. the thing is that now, I'm controlling the veela and I'm trying to figure out who I am. Maybe the party guy is me maybe not I don't know."

Luke rubbed his back. "Everybody goes through that Mate. Just don't let it get you down. He gestured Dani and Dan in.

Mizuki went to the fridge and got stuff to make a salad to help out.

Dani pulled back her hair into a high ponytail as she moved over to Connor's mirror- she checked out her skin- it was looking so much better after stopping wearing that crap on it every day. She sighed and turned around as she went over to the guys. "You okay, Connor?" she asked him softly. But then she realised he'd probably talked about with Luke and shut up.

Dan smirked- "How about we go out now then? Fresh air and all" he said, tapping the door before turning around. Dani nodded and went to follow him before turning back and smiling at Connor, gesturing for him to follow.

James smiled at Mizuki- "So, how is everything?" he asked her softly as he started chopping up some vegtables.

They were invited. By Mizuki, no less, and Camellia sighed as she stared at her family. They were rather late, to be honest, if Keith hadn't gone onto a spree, looking for his camera bag, Leandra fussing about what to wear and Heather...well...Heather had been quite prepared already (and Camellia thought her sister looked adorably cute as a doll in her new outfit) and had been bored to death, waiting for their parents. She giggled a bit at Heather's current look: Pouting and staring at her white shoes. The excitement on the girl seemed to have died down due to her parent's slow progress on getting a move on to the venue.

Leandra was rather content now that they have come and only raised an eyebrow at her husband. bringing along his cameras. She couldn't argue now; they were at someone else's place and it's too late to go back and leave it at the house. To distract herself, she looked at her daughters, and was displeased at Heather's face and slouching poise. "Heather. Straighten up. Remember your manners." she snapped and the girl followed like she was in military school.

Laughing a bit at his wife and his daughter, Keith stepped up behind his wife and grinned. "come on, Lea, let the girl do as she pleases. She's bored and tired because of us, you know."

"she's 13 and a young lady at that, Keith. I will not tolerate any manners like that of my daughters."

"you used to be like that when we were teens."

"Keith I swear, one more word out of that and i will-"

"Mom, Dad. Uhm...now's not really the time to argue, you know that..." Camellia sighed as she rolled her eyes and turned to the door to knock. Both older Olsens stood still and quiet and Heather sighed.

It was boring, but what Heather had been waiting for was to see her big brother again, and of course, Connor had told her Dani, her Hogwarts big sister was here as well. That was why she was so excited, but her energy was drained from waiting for her parents to finish and for them to get there, and was even more drained when her parents went fussing about.

Dani heard someone at the door and jogged downstairs- "I'll get it Dad" she called out as she pulled back her hair in a ponytail. She went to open the door of her house and smiled at who she saw. "Heather- and your family. Hi! I'm Dani" she said softly as she opened the door wide for them to come in. "Welcome to our home" she said softly as she smirked at Heather.

Heather jumped back a bit the minute the door was open for she was standing beside Camellia who knocked at the door and she saw Dani. Her pout disappeared replaced by a smile and she quickly went and hugged her big sis. "DANIIIIIII~!" she squealed. Oh, it had been a long time since she last saw Dani, really.

Leandra was certainly displeased at Heather's actions and wanted to tell her off, but Keith suddenly holding her hand after their daughter had flung herself into the girl who opened the door constricted her from saying anything further. But, deep down, Leandra admitted, her daughter was..adorable at doing so. "Hello, Dani." she greeted the girl.

"yes, Hello." added Keith, smiling at the girl.

Camellia, amused at how adorable her sister had acted, turned to the girl who answered the door and smiled at her sweetly. "Hello Dani. Thank you for answering the door and welcoming us." she said. "I'm Camellia."

Connor smiled at his friends. "I'm ok now." He told them smiling softly. He followed his family downstairs. He wrapped his arms around Dani from behind just for a moment for a hug. Luke followed, hungry as usual "Dad how long till Dinner's ready?" He asked softly.

Mizuki smiled. "Everything's fine Jamie, I'm just nervous. I hope everyone gets along. I really hope my family likes you and the kids." She replied softly. It really meant a lot to her that they get along. She knew her mom and dad would be concerned after she had come home before so hurt over Nath. She needed their approval.


Connor stepped up behind Dani and squealed just a little when he saw his family. He hadn't seen them since before term started, well except his little sister Heather who he saw everyday. He picked up Heather and twirled her around in a hug. "I missed you!" He said honestly. It had only been a couple of days but he had gotten used to spending time with her everyday. He sat her on her feet and went to His grandma and hugged her. "Hey Grandma!" He hugged her and kissed her cheek, he was surprised a little at being taller than her. He walked over to his Grandpa Keith and hugged him too. "Grandpa!" He smiled, he'd missed his grandpa a lot. "I hope this means I get to model some!" he pointed at the camera bag. He then went over and hugged his Aunt. "Auntie Melia! I love you!"

Luke stood at the bottom of the steps, a bit in awe and quiet. He was in the Same room with Fellow Photographer Keith Olsen! He loved the man's work and he wondered who the beautiful girl so close to his age was. He waited patiently to be introduced.


Mizuki squeaked happily and ran into the Livingroom from the kitchen when she heard her family at the door. She ran straight into her little sister's arms and hugged her and her mom and dad and held her arms out for her niece Heather to come hug her. "I'm so glad to see you!" She told them all. I want you to meet Everyone, Well Dani you've met, and the Dashing young man in the blue shirt is Luke and That's Dan In the green shirt and my boyfriend James Will be out soon I believe he's prepping dinner." She smiled happily.

Heather giggled like a little girl as she was hugged and twirled about by her big brother. She loved her big brother so much. "I missed you too big brother!" she said, hugging him back when he put her down again.she gave him a little space so he could run to her parents and hug them.

"Connor!" Leandra let go of Keith's hand and hugged the boy. "Good to see you again...really, really good..." she said, kissing his forehead. She did miss seeing her 'grandson' very much.

"hey sport." Keith said, ruffling Connor's hair a bit as the boy hugged him. "missed me too much? of course, that's why i brought along my cameras." he chuckled. Then he watched as Connor went to hug Camellia.

Camellia had her arms ready open for a hug from her favorite nephew. She hugged him tight. "I love you too Connor...did you miss me that so much? I know i did. You're my favorite nephew after all."

Then in came Mizuki, giving everyone hugs. then she held out her arms for Heather to which the girl ran to her and hugged her tight. "Auntie Mizukiiiiii~!" she squealed. "i missed you~!"

Camellia giggled. "that's enough, Heather...you have more chances to hug people later." she said, pulling the girl away. "sorry Mizuki, she'd been bored for the past hour...and you know how she can get excited after that." like a kid on a sugar rush, she and Mizuki knew that.

Everyone was then acquainted with everyone, but Leandra was more interested in meeting this boyfriend of Mizuki. Keith noticed that and whispered to his wife: 'take it easy honey, this isn't Ryoma." he sniggered, getting a glare from his wife. He then strode towards the young man named Luke. "hello there, a pleasure to meet you Luke. I've heard from Mizuki you were a photographer as well..." he turned to the other one named Dan. "nice to meet you there, Dan. How's it going?" he asked.

Letting go of Heather was a risk-she'd go on a hugging spree, but Leandra took care of that, by holding Heather's hand. Camellia nodded and went about, to meet the rest of the family. She followed her father but greeted Dan first. "hello Dan, very nice to meet you." she said, holding out a hand to him for a friendly hand shake. She then turned to Luke. "hello Luke. A pleasure to meet you as well."

Keith was surprised at the speed his daughter had taken in appearing behind him. He smirked. Just like both her mothers. Leandra and her real mom. "Ah...Luke...this is my daughter, Camellia...she's also a photgrapher-well, used to be my assistant." he chuckled and gave out a grin to which Camellia had picked up, knowing he was bound to say something silly. "She also models for some of my shoots." he chuckled as Camellia's face turned red.

From the cheery crowd, Leandra turned to Mizuki. "Dear, may i have a glass of water for Heather?" she leaned closer to whisper. "it's to make those sugar rushes of hers die down a bit." she chuckled.

Danielle giggled as Heather greeted her- "It's awesome to see you, Heather" she said softly as she smiled at her. "And it's good to meet you all" she said to the Olsen family with a nice little wave. She watched as Connor and everyone appeared to greet them too.
This is nice, she thought to herself. It was nice- it was good to have more people here, especially a family like that- they seemed so happy.
She always stood here and wished her real Mum and Dad to just walk through that door, just to at least come and visit her and her brothers but they never did. The only thing she'd heard from her Mum was that she wanted Dani to do a Teen Vogue shoot in the summer and she needed to tone up for it, a lot. She glanced over at the mirror and looked sideways sighing- wishing her Mother had never been a model or a photgrapher.
She sighed and smiled as she gestured to Heather and her sister- "Why don't we show you around? Connor, shall we?" she said softly as she noticed Luke staring at who she assumed was Heather's older sister- that boy never stopped with the ladies. "Connor has his own room here, he practically lives here at times" she smirked- "But the guys hate my room, you girls might like it... it is a bit pink..." she giggled.

Dan nodded- "Hi" he said softly to Heather- "I'm Dani's twin" he smirked as he watched the younger girl, she seemed pretty sweet already and she'd only been here all of two minutes. He was a little overwhelmed by everyone but smiled and answered them kindly. He ran a hand through his blonde hair and glanced at Dani in that twin way, she responded and smirked. He turned to Connor- "She really is adamant she's your little sister. Has your Mum got a secret?" he couldn't help but smirk at the younger girl's over enthusiasm.

James carried on with the cooking but peeked his head out of the kitchen door and waved- "Hey, it's nice to see everyone! You can all come through and grab a drink if you want" he said before dashing back to the boiling vegtables.

Heather slipped away from her mother's clutches and made her way towards Dani who offered to take her to a tour around the house. She nodded her head cheerfully. "Sure big sis!" she said and turned round to a boy who approached them and introduced himself as Dani's twin. She smiled at him. Well, if he was related to Dani, there's no reason to be that shy, right? "H-Hi, Dani's twin." she said naively. Yeah. He did say he's Dani's twin and the girl had practically taken his word literally.

Leandra watched as her daughter slipped away and went over to Dani. She smiled. At least Heather's not acting like a crazed little doll on a sugar rush bound to topple everything she passes by over like a hurricane. She was about to to turn and speak with Mizuki when the man in question who happens to be the Mizuki's boyfriend appeared from the kitchen. Ah, a cook, he is. A bonus point...but let's wait until they can taste it. if it's good-another bonus point!

She turned to Mizuki. "Dear, i think there's no need for the drink-Heather's having a grand time now." she smiled, looking at her youngest.

Dan smirked- "You can just call me Dan" he winked- he thought it was stupid his parents had named them Danielle and Daniel- couldn't they have been more original?! Oh well.

Dani smiled widely- "Well yeah, this is our lovely home- my parents work too much and so our Uncle James adopted us not long ago and so we moved here. It's perfect" she said as she looked around, knowing James had worked hard to adopt them and sort out this place. "Right" she started before glancing at Connor- "Where shall we start the tour?" she smirked at him.

"Dan. Oops...s-sorry,..." Heather blushed at realizing the name of Dani's twin. "I'm Heather..." she added, giving him an embarrassed smile. Her cheeks were still pink out of embarrassment.

She then turned to Dani. "uhmmm....Anywhere you like, big sis." she said.

Dani nodded and smiled- "Well, we'll start off down here" she said softly as she looked towards the front door- she wondered if he'd come- she very much hoped he would. She'd told her Dad... James that he was coming, so if he did... that would completely be amazing. "How about we go see the pool!" she said with a big smile.

Oh. A pool. They have a pool! Relax, Heather, Relax...they won't ask her to swim, right? She can barely swim! It's just a tour...just a tour-

"Okay!" she heard herself agree to that. She waited to be lead by Dani to the pool patiently.

Colton Marquis appeared with a crack as he apparated in front of the Dubois home. The young man was legally 17 now so he had nothing to worry about. Looking down at the last letter Danielle had written to him, he made sure that he had gotten the right address. It was cold outside, but not freezing. That's what the weather obviously was in the winter now, wasn't it? He approached the front door wearing a rather formal outfit. Not on purpose.

That's just the way he had to dress at home.

Nervousness and excitement filled him as he knocked firmly on the front door. Her cousin wasn't exactly happy with him considering the prank he and his friends had pulled. Too bad for Patrick that his parent's had more power then him. Not that Dani would have heard about that story. Now he had to wait in the frosty air.

Dani nodded and was about to lead Heather outside when she heard a knock- oh gosh! She saw her Dad... well Uncle... peek out the window and he smirked- "Ahh, it looks like Patrick's student has arrived" he said as Dani stared blushing and turned to Heather- "I'll be right back" she said excitedly as she gestured out at the pool for Heather in case she wanted to go look.

Dani then turned and walked to the door, pushing back her blonde hair and smoothing out her newly changed outfit as she opened it up- she smiled at the guy on the other side. "Hi Colton! Come in" she said softly as she opened up the door and stood aside for him.

He rubbed the side of his face with a pocket in his hand, staring out at the landscaping when he heard the front door open. A soft smile came upon his face when he saw the blonde girl again. It had felt like forever since he had seen her and it kind of was. Months in fact. "Hey Dani," he said to her, taking his hand out of his pocket and walking in. He was a lovestruck fool and he knew it. She wouldn't leave his head and couldn't compare to any other girl he saw.

"You have a really nice house," he said, already feeling like an idiot. Yeah that was real cool to say.

Dani smiled and blushed a little- "Oh thanks! It is pretty nice, I do have to admit" she smirked, she'd loved the place the first time she'd arrived, and it was a nice thing for him to have said.

"It's really good to see you again" she said softly as she looked into his eyes, uber glad that Patrick had somehow helped them stay in contact with each other. She could sense everyone moving about and saw James staying nearby "This is my Uncle James- but he adopted us so he's my Dad now..." she smirked as James approached- "Hi, Colton, it's good to meet you. Patrick's been singing your praises to me" he said with a slight smirk at the boy.
