Out of the whole group, Shane might be the hardest nut to crack. Nobody can unravel him - not even his closest friend or family. An introvert, people assume him to be shy or anti-social. Wrong. He's neither bashful nor unfriendly. It's just that he enjoys being on his own, though, he may seem a bit distant at first but that's just a façade, a one time thing so he may decide if the person's worth letting his guard down.

A true Ravenclaw, Shane spends a big chunk of his day time in completing homework, reading and researching for no particular reason. He's hardly seen without a book and more often than not, it's not even a course book. He might be considered a borderline nerd though it doesn't bother him.

However, it's at night when he feels the most comfortable to unleash his lighter side. Drinking hot chocolate while striking a few chords before the fireplace or the lake is Shane's idea of an ideal evening but of course, he hardly ever gets to do that. Music is his life. He has no difficulty in balancing his passion for music with his passion for learning. He's mostly seen around the school premises with earphones dangling from his ears, balancing a cup of hot coffee on an old, thick book, as he makes his way through the morning crowd.

All in all, Shane's a loyal, responsible and introvert guy who's afraid of falling for a girl creature.

Birth & Toddler-hood:
Shane Doyle was born on a warm July evening to muggle-born wizards, Norah & Asher, through a caesarean section. It was a difficult night for the Doyles because as their baby boy came into the world, he was on the verge of dying due to irregular heartbeats and respiratory insufficiency. However, blessings and prayers from his parents and extended family helped the boy to bear all the differences and he survived. The whole Doyle clan was shook with joy. He was the only boy to be born in 15 years. That has got to mean something.

Throughout his toddler-hood, Shane was smothered with kisses, love, attention and everything a child might need. His father, who had swollen with pride when he first hatched, had already started to man him up by being stern to him. Asher had dreams for this boy. He was their saviour. He'd take Shane to toy shops, hoping he'd pick up those cute little brooms. Instead, he would leap at tiny pianos, signing frogs or colouring books. He showed interest in the arts since the very beginning but his father never approved as it posed danger to the big plan he had for his future. They'd come home with another model of broomstick while Shane continued to long for a singing frog until Christmas.

Childhood:

Hoggy, Hoggy, Hogwarts:
Hogwarts was like a second home to him, a place where he finally felt at peace. During his first three years at Hogwarts, he was deemed a loner, not invisible, but independent. People knew him from class as he was one of the studious Ravenclaws and of course, the guitar that was clung to his shoulder through rain and snow and wind and cold. It was during his fourth year when a fellow claw, Emerson Clark, introduced him to a bunch of guys. At first, he couldn't stand them at all. They were so...out there and spastastic and sparkly. He felt so out of place but soon started to laugh along with them, and before he knew, he was one of the boys.

How can they spot you've got no talent:

Emerson generally comes off as a care-free sort of guy and when you get to know him, he's still a care-free sort of guy. He's a bit of a joker and hardly understands why some people are so serious which is the reason he always wants to dress up as the Joker on Halloween. He has a very outgoing/extrovert personality and honestly does not care about really anything. His also a massive flirt. In his mind all the ladies love him, but his dating record is equal to 1 which ended fairly quickly because apparently he was too "immature". PSH. One thing that doesn't show through what he does and how he talks is that he's quite the clever one. His report never seems to agree with him though because he's brilliant at procrastinating homework and studying. Usually he feeds the giant squid his homework. The professor's never believe him when he says "The squid ate my homework".

Emerson Daniel Clark first graced the world with his presence on the 14th of July after putting his mother through 12 hours of pain. His sister nearly dropped him when he was a day old. Her excuse was that her arms were tired. His family was always pretty well off and he'd always had everything he needed. When he was five his mother insisted that he go to a muggle school so if he didn't succeed in the wizarding world he'd have something to fall back on. He enjoyed school but he didn't enjoy going with his sister because she was a pain in the neck and was a massive show off because she always got awards for good work in class whilst Emerson got sent to the principal's office on a regular basis for "disturbing class". Emerson always said he was making it more fun for everyone, the principal didn't seem to agree on that.

His first signs of magic came through in 3rd grade when they were painting. All his paints just started flying at the teacher for no apparent reason then soon enough all the paints were flying at the teacher while all the kids were laughing like nothing else. That's also when he discovered that you shouldn't need to ever be serious. But unfortunately it landed his whole class with extra homework and a mean substitute for a week whilst their normal teacher recovered. When his sister got her Hogwarts letter he was grumpy for a few hours then realised that she'd be gone for basically the whole year and started celebrating with the rest of his family. So for the next five years he had to listen to his mother reading out his sister's letters about how her days at Hogwarts were. But the summer of the year he would turn eleven he literally set up a tent in the front yard waiting for his Hogwarts letter, only going inside for snacks and bathroom breaks. When it finally did arrive he ran inside and woke everyone up by yelling and doing a victory dance.

The weeks that followed were utter chaos due to the fact that his sister thought it would be fun to call him a squib which ended with them yelling at each other from other sides of the house. Diagon Alley had to be taken in turns because they refused to go together. They very nearly missed the train because Emerson was very busy annoying his sister and her friends. it came as a massive shock to everyone in his family when he was sorted into Ravenclaw, his Gryffindor sister more than anyone. Soon enough he was making friends and avoiding work. He past his OWLs fairly well which surprised everyone because he basically didn't ever do work, he also got accused of cheating but fortunately his was found innocent and got his mostly "E" results. Around third year was when he became a massive flirt. It was also the first year without his sister there.
