Fourteen-year-old Maximum Ride wasn’t doing anything special that day – flying practice, writing journal entries, attempting cooking. Maybe it was better she wasn’t, because that day was about to be taken up by a lot more than destroying a perfectly good cake recipe. While she was waiting for the monstrosity of baking to cool, Max felt a tingling in her toes, which spread to the rest of her body. Suddenly she was enveloped in bright light, and forced to close her eyes. When she reopened them, she was lying on a grassy bank near a large lake with Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman and Angel.
They didn’t know it, but they were at Hogwarts.
I’ve wanted to do a Maximum Ride themed RPG for a while, and finally got around to it! Basically the plot is Max and the flock find themselves in Hogwarts, where they have magic powers as well as their own original ones from their gene modifications. There they meet James, Albus and Lily Potter, and Rose and Hugo Weasley. The Potters and Weasleys decide to hide the flock in Hogwarts until they can find a way to get back to America and their day jobs of saving the world. But what happens when Jeb Batchelder, his son Ari and their team of white-coats and Erasers come to take the flock back? Your call!
By the way, the flock and white-coats have wands and can do magic. Ari is the only Eraser who can do magic, but his is clumsy. The Erasers can fly too.

The Gasman and Angel are siblings.
Ari and Max are half-siblings, but they hate each other’s guts. At least, Max does.
The Flock are all close, and mostly think of each other as siblings (with the exception of Max and Fang).
The Potter/Weasley family members are all related.
Nudge develops a crush on Hugo.
Max and Fang have history, but their relationship is up and down. At the start, it’s down. We’ll see what happens …
James tries to attract the attention of Max.
Rose and Scorpios are strangely attracted to one another, but both always deny it.
As for the rest of you … wander around. Light your own fires, so to speak. Surprise me
THESE ARE GUIDELINES. The siblings thing you’ll have to stick with, but the rest … let’s just say you can be best friends with or have a crush on whoever you want (within reason)
SPOILER!!: The Flock’s Powers
The flock’s tampered genes have started mutilating, which leads to some surprising powers.
Max: Has wings. Can fly faster than any member of the flock, up to 300 mph. Has gills and can breathe underwater. Has the Voice in her head.
Fang: Has wings. If he stands still, he can blend into the background, like a chameleon. Has gills and can breathe underwater.
Iggy: Has wings. Is blind, but is by no means disabled. He can identify flock members by the feel of their skin and wings, and can “see” colours. His other senses are well-tuned.
Nudge: Has wings. Is a psychometric, and can draw metals to her.
The Gasman: Has wings. Can perfectly mimic any voice. Has an extensive knowledge of bombs and explosions, which is ironic. Has a funky digestive system – not really a power? You’ve never been in a closed room with one of his “explosions”, have you?
Angel: She lucked out in this department. Has wings. Can read and control minds. Has the Voice in her head. Has gills and can breathe underwater. Can change her skin and eye colour. Can talk to fish. The list goes on …
A Few Little Things That Are Slightly Very Important
1. I do need CHARACTER BIOS because then people know what your charrie is like. Bios can be as detailed as you like, and a picture would be awesome but not strictly necessary. Maximum Ride character details can be found here and Harry Potter character details can be found here. If you copy and paste anything from those websites, please put ‘Courtesy of’ and the website’s url.
2. Be respectful – treat others how you want to be treated. IC is (kind-of) fine, if it’s part of the charrie’s personality, but OOC nastiness is a big no-no. Be warned – if you break this rule I WILL take you out of the RP, regardless of your involvement.
3. STAY ACTIVE. Please don’t request if you don’t plan on seeing the RP through. It’s very frustrating for your fellow RP’ers and I. If you are going to be away for a while, PM me and I’ll sort something out for your charrie (e.g., you’re in the hospital wing/detention/something)
4. You can be as many characters as you like, but consider family ties, friendships and relationships, and your own RPing ability. Don’t take 4 charries and then realize you’re in over your head.
5. All Knockturn Alley and site rules apply. Please see them if you’re not familiar

She can be stubborn, arrogant and jealous, and this sometimes clouds her judgment. She hates being told what to do. The world literally rests on her shoulders, as she is destined to save it. She is a good leader, but needs to do something wholeheartedly to do it her best. Max has difficulty in trusting people.

Background: Max was brought up in a dog crate in the scientific campus she dubbed ‘the School’. She and the rest of the flock were horribly experimented on, until Jeb Batchelder rescued them when Max was ten years old. Jeb disappeared two years later, and the flock assumed he had been killed. But he cropped up again with the white-coats from the School, and Max drew the obvious conclusion – Jeb was a lying traitor. She has sent the last few months trying to escape him; she never wants to go back to the School.
Max will die rather than let the flock go back there.

Albus Potter, is the son of Harry and Ginny Potter and the brother of James and Lily Potter.
