House of Gaunt (Inactive RPs)This is the forum where all of the unfortunate roleplays go when they become inactive in Borgins or The Manor. You may reactivate an RP if you PM one of our staff. No posting.
The Introduction: Meet Roxana, fourth year Hufflepuff. Her best friend is names Josie, and she is friend's with Sam. She has a small crush on him. She doesn't try to, but she playfully flirts with him all the time.
Then there's Josie, fourth year Slytherin. Her best friend in the whole world is Roxana. She also has a crush on Sam, but she won't even admit it to herself. She loves to read and write, and she's very creative. One of her other best friends is Lyra.
Next we have Lyra, fourth year Ravenclaw prefect. She is extremely smart and an overachiever in everything, even becoming a prefect as a fourth year. It happens you know. Lyra is also considered a weird person, especially by her friends. She doesn't make sense most of the time, but she never fails to make people laugh. She used to like Sam, and Josie suspects she still does.
Finally we have the aforementioned Sam, a fourth year Slytherin. He hangs out with Josie and Roxana sometimes, and he enjoys talking to Lyra. No one knows who he likes, not even his guy friends. Of course, they all want to find out.
The setting: It is Christmas Eve and the students of Hogwarts are restless. Most of them have gone home for the holidays, but Sam, Roxana, Josie, and Lyra are among the few who stayed. When they wake they notice something on the notice board in their common room. It reads;
Good morning students, we have a special surprise for you. Hidden around Hogwarts there are ten colorful boxes. See if you can find them all by midnight. If you're stuck find a professor. Do not open the boxes. Good luck.
If you don't get a character don't worry, there will be more later. Check back here, or VM me and I'll PM you when more spots open up. People who do take spots, please be active, and post your bios ASAP!
Final note: Every so often I will be posting in Dark Slate Blue as the plot/narrator. I will be changing the setting this way. Do no RP your character finding a box until I post saying so *eyes you all* Well...bye

Early Life Athena was the last born daughter of Devon and Tully. She was born exactly 10 months after Corrie, and since Corrie turned 11 after the Hogwarts year began, she and Athena went together.
All 4 girls were home-schooled by their mother, who worked at the MoM within the Wizengamot. They girls used to be taken care of by a nanny on holidays and weekends, until Corrie and Athena started Hogwarts.
Hogwarts Years Athena was sorted into Ravenclaw, along with her sisters. She receives very good grades, and loves to study. As her parents are always busy, she and her sisters stay at Hogwarts the entire year, through Christmas and all.
Personality Athena is very quirky. She has a bizarre sense of humour but it always makes her friends laugh. She is very smart, and dedicated to study. Never would she get distracted! She is caring, but sometimes doesn't know how to comfort her friends.

Background
Josie was born in a small town in Minnesota. Four years later her younger brother was born. They fight like any siblings, but she always tries to give him the benifit of the doubt. Andy, her brother, gets in moods where he becomes mad at everyone. He aggravates Josie, but she loves him.
In Elementary School her best friend was named Tyler Reed. She had known him all her life. When she was really little she was obsessed with the show 'Go Diego Go' and whenever she saw him she thought he looked like Diego, so that's what she called him. When they eventually went to Hogwarts she told everybody his name was Diego.
As she grew up Josie developed a love of reading. she read every kind of book imanigable, but she particularily loved fantasy. Josie loved the idea that there was magic in the world.
When she was eight years old her dad got a job in London, and their family moved there. When they first moved there they lived in an apartment building and, two floors down, there was a girl Josie's age she became fast friends with. That girl is Roxana, and they are still best friends to this day.
Josie is very creative and she loves to write, as well as read. She almost always had a notebook with her, and a pencil. She has ideas constantly jumbled around in her mind, and somtimes she just has to write them down so she doesn't forget. If she doesn't have a notebook she will speak them aloud to anyone listening. Unfortunately, that creativity does not apply to drawing. She is horrible at anything remotely artsy.
Josie has always been normal, from most people's point of view. She has never had a boyfriend, and she wants one more than she'll ever tell anyone, except maybe Roxana. She acts like she always has around Sam, she doesn't get weird around boys or anything like that. She likes him, but you won't catch her admitting that to anyone, she just started admitting it to herself. she knows Roxana likes him; Roxana told her herself, which is one of the main reasons why she is afraid to tell even Roxana that she likes Sam. Maybe even Tyler/Diego too.

About Her
Abbi Vlakhovitch, price explorer, writer and future Doctors companion. She hopes. This girl has got a pennyfull of dreams and doesn't give up on them easy either. Abandoned by her dad when she was younger, she lived with her mum in an estate in South East London when they moved from the warm climate of Johannasberg, t the Powell estate, being schooled in a "rough" local primary school, no one though Abbi had a chance, as this school was teaching the "yobbo's of today" according to her mother. Her father, on the few occasions he spoke to her, told her when he was younger that he'd take her out of that school and they'd dream together and travel the world together. But then he went. And she didn't see him again. She thinks he's in Dubai. But she doesn't know
You don't forget something like that when it happens to you. She certainly didn't. She instead dove into a life of reading and rebellion, frequently bunking and get chucked out of class, but she didn't care, she was too upset, too destroyed, too hurt. He had promised her dreams, and tried to snatch them back. She didn't forget those dreams, they were too close to her heart, from watching her television programs she decided she would be the new Doctors assistant, or she would meet the ARC team, she would do everything beyond imagining. Her father had tried to convince her in science, but he had left her with no faith, except in her imagination. It's what gets her through the day, what helps her sleep at night. Her dreams. And some dreams can come true obviously, Hogwarts exists. Magic exists, despite her mothers insistance it didn't.
When she got her letter she held it triumphantly, not only as proof of magic, but hope that if that could exist, then her dad could come back too, as it was on his side she got her magical talent. She asked her mother to find him, and she promised she would. She did, but when she asked him for the truth, why he dumped them, he had no answer. When she asked him to send her off, he said nothing. So she went, with her mother, alone, on to the train, And, as they say, the rest is, well history.
Personality
Abbi is, well, a damaged girl. She's hurting, and she's not healed, but she's getting there, with the help of her friends and her imagination. She always prefers to be on the extreme side to happiness, to have adreniline pumping through her blood, so she doesn't think, she just does, and it's second nature, to run or to hide. Fight or flight, she's also a tough, tough cookie, and won't hesitate to thump someone, screw magic, fists work better, that was what she learnt, growing up on a council estate, cocky and cheeky she's a teachers nightmare to a degree, but she's slowly softening with her friends.
And most of the times she is a softy, especially away from her family, but other times, she's anything but, the disastrous holiday when her father took her to meet his new wife and children was proof. Especially when she ran away and tried to get a plane home so she wouldn't have to spend time around them, understandabley she felt betrayed, and, she hasn't gone back to Dubai. And she won't. Ever.
Also, can she be a prefect??

Benjamin was born a tall, skinny, nerdy boy. Ever since he was little he has enjoyed the little things. He has a very vivid imagination, though he is quite shy and has decided to keep his imagination to himself. He was born with two middle names, Lucas and Reginald, but once he turned twelve he was able to convince his parents to remove the second one Reginald. For he was named Reginald after his Grandfather who never truly liked him and always thought that he was a disgusting child of "mixed blood". His muggle mother was the most supportive in the removing of his second middle name, mainly because his granfather had always ignored her.
His little sister Bridie doesn't go to Hogwarts because she was offered a place a Beauxbatons first and she desperately wanted to go to the "pretty" school. She had also been afraid that her brother would've stalked her and let her have no fun. And let's not lie, Benjamin would've been an extremely overprotective brother.
Benjamin has always been very good at school and has always gotten high marks and in all honesty is a bit of a suck-up to teachers, but the problem is he genuinely enjoys classes and is fascinated by absolutely everything in the magical world. HE ALSO HAS A CAT CALLED TWIGGY WHO IS FLUFFY AND VERY UP HIMSELF.

Background: Tyler was born in the same town as Josie. When they went to elementary school together, Josie always called him Diego, so eventually it became a nickname. When Josie and Tyler were eight, Josie had moved away. It wasn't like a city or a state, but to LONDON!! Tyler couldn't deal with his best friend leaving.
When Tyler was Eleven, his Mom had gotten a job London, and that they were moving. Before they moved, Tyler had found a letter from Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was confused,because he thought it was a fake. But, when he got to London, he was sent to Diagon Alley right away.
During his first year at Hogwart's, he had found Josie and loved being back with his best friend. When he hung out with Josie, he realized he started to like her more than a friend, but Josie didn't show any emotion for Tyler, other than friendship. Of course, that made Tyler mad, because he wanted to know.
