What would you do if you found a deep burrow-like hole in the middle of a forest? You'd leave it alone, right? Not if you were on the receiving end of post-teen-party high, like four crazy Hogwarts seventh-year students were that night. They, of course, went exploring - and found the brilliant blue substance. Barely escaping the collapse of the hole, the four went back to their respective dorms - and woke up the next morning with superhuman powers.
But with great power comes great responsibility. Who will crack under the strain of such power? Only time will tell.

Personality: Jasmine is very friendly and caring, which runs in the family, and also very intelligent. Her sweet nature coupled with sharp mind makes her a favourite of the teachers, but she mostly laughs off other students' remarks of her being a "teacher's pet". She loves writing, reading and singing, and can often be found up a tree with her guitar, notepad or a book. She has an obsession with trees, because they make her feel safe.

Gideon Hunter was fresh out of college when he moved to Spain, majoring in languages and history. He took a job at a high school teaching English and other languages to teenagers. This was where he met Valentia Martinez, who lived next to the school and sometimes helped out there, despite the fact that she was a witch from a pureblood family. The two started dating, and two years later got married. Mimi was born three years later.
When Jasmine was 7 years old, the same year her brother was born, Gideon fell ill to a very rare nervous disorder, and was forced to move back to his native England where he could receive treatment. Sadly he died a year later. This devastated Jasmine as she was very close to her Papá. Valentia considered moving the family back to Spain, but decided not to because her children were all settled in England.
It was soon after Gideon's death that Jasmine's obsession with trees started. She was forever up them, and no amount of talk from her mother would convince her that they were dangerous things to play around. she still loves them, which is where her powers stem.
Jasmine was friendly with many of the student population, including Matthew and Eloise. She knows Lani hates her guts, but she's not sure why. She knows the Slytherin boy doesn't talk to her for some reason, but she's not sure why. In that way, she's quite naive.

NOTE
The Four each get a specialised superpower. I know that isn't really in line with the movie plot, but this is a DA RP, let's make it even more fun! Check samthehpfreak's bio to see what I mean. The mole might get a superpower too

Please remember they all can use telekinesis (the ability to move objects without touching them) and fly (which is practically a branch of telekinesis if you think about it). This is a major part of the movie plot, so I want to keep that the same.

So let's go, we'll take it outta here:
Some might call Matthew and ignorant, obnoxious, annoying and Quidditch obsessed pretty boy. And it's mostly true. Yes he can be ignorant, annoying and Quidditch obsessed but call him either obnoxious or a pretty boy and you'll have yourself an enemy. To those who are his friends ~~and admirers~~ or just people that don't think he's an ignorant, obnoxious, annoying and Quidditch obsessed pretty boy, he's a fairly decent sort of guy. Yes he will put Quidditch before anything in his life, but what's wrong with having a dream?
I think I'm ready to leap, I'm ready to live:
Matthew Jonathon Drannon was born on the 15th of May to David Robert Drannon and Eleanor Jean Habarow. His parents had been planned to be married three months after his birth but it never did happen for David's family was against him marrying a halfblood. The wedding was cancelled and the two that were once lovebirds parted ways as enemies, though David never did forgive his family. Eleanor didn't think she would be able to support both herself and a baby so their last agreement was that David would look after Matthew. So Matt grew up mainly just with his dad until he was 5 and his father remarried to his stepmother, Kate. She was the one that got Matt's grandmother to reconcile with Matt's father and she began teaching Matt the basics of what he would need to know what to get by. Three years later Matt recieved a baby brother, Caleb, his half brother (a half sibling is when they have only one parent in common via blood for those who didn't know)whom he adored dearly. He looked after his little brother as best he could. Nothing else interesting happened until he was ten, when he started learning about magic. He wasn't allowed to do anything but he wasn't allowed near Caleb in case he accidentally used magic against him which made Matt rather upset. But when he finally received a Hogwarts acceptance letter it was well worth it.

It was two weeks after he received the letter that he actually went to Diagon Alley with his dad. He wanted to stay in the Quidditch store for the whole day but his dad said that they needed to get his stuff. That was the day he fell in love with Quidditch, seeing the small figurines zooming around the store and all the brooms. The rest of the day had seemed rather dull compared to the Quidditch store but his father said that if they got it all done quickly they could go back to his favourite store. His father did end up buying him a broom, not the best one but a rather nice one all the same. He wasn't allowed to take it to school but he was allowed to ride it at home. And he loved it. He lived for the early hours of the morning and the late evenings when his father would go out into the backyard with him and help him learn to fly. After a few weeks he was allowed to take Caleb on for a go as long as he went slowly and stayed very close to the ground. Caleb hadn't liked it too much, mainly because it was so late and usually he would've been in bed by that time.

When September 1st came he was more sad to leave his broom than any of his family but that soon changed as he boarded the train and started to make friends. When he finally reached Hogwarts he had been so nervous about the sorting the hat had hardly touched his head when it shouted Gryffindor. The house of his father. Soon after he became close with those in Gryffindor and was told that the Slytherins were not to be trusted. To be truthful Matt had hardly any idea what the difference between houses was apart from the fact his mother had been a Ravenclaw and his father a Gryffindor. For hsi first year he managed to stay pretty average. All the lessons were hard but not impossible, all the people in his house were nice enough and even some of the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws were nice but he steered clear of any Slytherin he could. The thing he loved most was the Quidditch, he had tried to try out but the captain had laughed, ruffled his hair and said "maybe next year, squirt". So he just practiced whenever he could, still to chicken to sneak out at night and try even though on several occasions he could have sworn he saw someone on the pitch from his dorm window.

Second year changed a lot of things. He told his father that Quittidtch was what he wanted to do and over the summer his father would drive him out to the country with his broom and Matt would practice until his father came to get him again and he would show him whatever he had done that day. The return to school was easy, he soon became less of a nervous firstie and more of a confident second year. Slytherins didn't bother him as much but he still didn't want to be buddies with any of them. Though most importantly he tried out for the Quidditch team. With the old captain gone and the team being completely reconstructed he thought he would be in with a chance for sure. And he was right. He hadn't been exactly sure what position to try for so the day before the try outs one of the chasers from the previous year's team took him through some drills and came to the conclusion that he was best suited for a keeper, even if he had only just started his growth spurt. So when the day of trials came there were only two others, both of which were much bigger than him but from what he had been told you needed to be quick and being heavy wasn't going to help them be quick. They were the last to be trialed and it was soon evident that the other two were no where near as quick as Matt and he became keeper. There were no troubles with this position until his third year in a game against Slytherin when he received his first serious injury. He was hit in the stomach by a bludger but the bludger caused him to run into a pole, knocking himself unconscious. Woke up in the hospital wing two days later. That was when he seriously started despising Slytherins.

By fourth year he had made it to one of the most popular guys in the year without even realizing it. But that year he did, on several occasions he was followed by small groups of giggling girls, most of them he was sure were in younger years but he just retreated to the pitch. Fifth year, he noticed the girls and got his first girlfriend, a bubbly Gryffindor girl by the name of Cassie in the end he just found she was always complaining about how much time he spent on the pitch and he ended it. Sixth year was more or less the same, just with more than one girlfriend. That was the year he started developing a small crush on the Hufflepuff prefect, but the way she managed to look perfect all the time made him want to run away to the pitch like a three year old boy. Seventh Year, his last year. He had started dating Lani at the beginning of the year, yes he had started dating a Slytherin. He had known she was probably one of the most popular girls and soon enough they would have to get together, he didn't particularly feel anything special for her (he'd never tell anyone that though) but he wanted people to remember him, even if it meant ignoring the way his stomach did backflips around Eloise and pretending it happened around Lani. What made things even more complicated was the additional powers he received after nearly being killed by a hole. ~~and yes he totally blames the Slytherin that also almost got killed by a hole~~

Can you please change Eloise's superpower? In the movie Chronicle, which is what this RP is based on, the main characters can all use telekinesis and can fly. I'd like to keep those privileges the same for the Four here.

What you got under your shirt:
Ethan is quite a relaxed sort of teacher, until you get into his class. He takes Defence Against the Dark Arts very seriously and will NOT have any tomfoolery in his class. EVER. But admittedly he does try to make his classes as fun as possible whilst sticking to the curriculum, but all good things must come to an end and some lessons can tend to just be copying down notes. He is a rather happy guy that is usually in a good mood, but along with tomfoolery in his classes he will not stand for bullying so half the time he's the teacher that will step in the middle of a fight and yell. If you ever visit his office, which students tend to do if they get into fights, you would see quite a plain room with only a few small photos of him with either family or friends.
