Kayla cleared her throat. "Well I think Excelsior should be the one to distract your father" she threw him an apologetic look. "Don't mean to throw you to the wolves it's just that you're a pureblood slytherin with the Black name. He'd be more willing to talk to you then with any of us...with the exception of Emily but I think he would find you more appealing."

"Maybe Sarah, should be the lookout. I don't think she needs to get into any more trouble with your father and well the rest of us can be the search team" Kayla said looking at them all. "That's just my opinion of course, if you don't like it we can try something else" she shrugged.

Camira nodded while giving Kayla an impressive look. The girl was smart. "What do you guys think about that?"

Alexander crept up to Camira's door, all the while fuming at the fact that he had to creep in his own home. The incredulity of it all. He stood there quietly, using a spell to enhance his hearing. He had to make sure they weren't up to something, those good for nothing brats.

Kayla looked towards the door and noticed a shadow moving under the crack, she'd had experience with this before...her grandmother did it all the time. Kayla placed a finger to her lips and motioned to the door. "So what about the Weird Sister's new song, I think it totally rocks...what about you guys" she said loudly.

Emily was totally confused having arrived in the middle of all this. Break into Camira’s father’s study? “But why?” she asked looking as confused as she felt.

She raised her eyebrows as Kayla started rambling. “More appealing?” she repeated. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Not that she wanted to be used as a decoy as the kids broke into the man’s study. But Kayla really didn’t have to be so damn rude about it.

Ems saw the movement of shadow outside the door and cottoned onto Kayla’s sudden change of subject. “I love it.” She replied. “Their best song yet.” She looked over at Camira and raised an eyebrow as if to say ‘what now?’

Kayla looked at Emily apologetically. "It means, that I think Camira's father would rather speak to a male than a female. I think he would rather talk to Excelsior than he would us girls or Jace for that matter because well he doesn't know his blood status" she explained. "I'm not saying it's right but that's how he is, I've seen his type before...well actually I live with that type" she scowled thinking of her grandmother. "I didn't mean for it to sound offensive to you, I was just being honest."

Yohan Shovel lifted a hand to make sure that his hair was in place then straightened his clothing quickly, it was always important to put up a good appearance, far more assuring to others when you hit them with something hard. Not that he was going to hit his good friend Alexander Yaxley with anything hard, it was more out of force of habit than anything else. He sensed he was a bit late, he had been distracted by a pesky Ministry employee snooping around his house looking for information about Merlin knew what, but he was here now and that was all that mattered. He stood at the door and knocked loudly, not in the mood for any nonsense.

"I'm to be the one to create a distraction?", Excelsior asked. "Well, I suppose it would make sense, Camira's father would be the least likely to question me or think I'm up to anything, after all. I see the sense of that, too. And as far as the Weird Sisters song goes, I agree, it's definitely their most brilliant release to date."

Emily was confused by Kayla’s behaviour. She had never seen the girl act like this before. She was usually a fire cracker – a force to be reckoned with who would have no doubt done very well in Slytherin. But here she was being… humble? Emily nodded towards the girl. It’s ok.” She said. “I understand.” Something weird was going on here and Emily wished she hadn’t arrived right in the middle of it. Everyone was so on edge. She looked over at Excelsior. ‘Rather him than me.’ She thought. She gave him an encouraging look.

Camira smirked at Emily. “Come on Ems , aren’t you up for an adventure. Never wondered what your father keeps in those secret rooms?” Camira was almost completely sure that Emily’s father had a similar room in their house.



At first, Camira was confused by Kayla’s sudden change of subject and tone, but the she saw a slight movement by her door. She sighed heavily. Her father was spying on her. Really, he should be ashamed of himself. How utterly plebian. “The new song is okay, but I definitely like their older songs better”, she said exaggeratedly. Once it appeared that her father had gone, she continued, but in a much lower voice than before.



She gave a little smile to Excelsior. “Sorry to throw you to the wolves, love, but I think you’ll be able to handle it. You’re quite charming after all”, she said while batting her eyes in an overdone manner. She was just so excited to be with friends. And they were going to help her to get to the bottom of all of this. What more could she ask for?



Alexander stood by the door and listened to the brats talk about…the Weird Sisters? Unbelievable. He was glad they weren’t meddling, but could the not speak of things that actually carried a considerable importance? That was children for you, but no, this was not acceptable. Camira was 13 now, quite old enough to begin her training. There would be no more senseless play.



He was shaken out of his thoughts by the insistent knocking that had started. Sighing, he walked briskly over to the door and opened. He was both pleased and annoyed to see Yohan there. “Was there a problem, Mr. Shovel, or do you usually leave your business associates waiting”, he said harshly, even though he knew it was quite unusual for him to be late.

Excelsior braced himself, knowing deep in his heart that he was the only one who could handle this task. Fortunately, he heard someone knock on the door just at that moment and Camira's father go to the door to greet whoever it was who was there. Apparently, it was some associate of his, good! This would make things so much easier.

Yohan briskly walked through the door, sensing Alexander's irritation. "Completely unavoidable, I'm afraid. Just as I was preparing to make my way here an employee from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement showed up at my house asking a lot of incomprehensible questions. Fortunatelly, I was able to finally persuade this tiresome man that I had no idea what he was going on about, which happened to be perfectly true, and he allowed me to leave and be on about my business." Yohan made a scoffing sound. "In any case, I've finally arrived and am ready to get down to business."

"Okay so now that we know who's doing what. When is this little expedition going to get started?" Kayla asked Camira. Although she was just a little nervous at what they are going to do...what if they got caught. She shuddered at the thought but if it was to help out her friend then Kayla was prepared for anything...that's what being a Hufflepuff was all about after all...nah she just liked getting into trouble she thought grinning to herself.

Nikki Malfoy walked up towards the Manor with her father Draco Malfoy by her side. "Father, why must you come up to the house? Mr Yaxley probley isn't here" she sneered.

"Stop your whining Nikki, Your a Malfoy and Malfoy's do not whin. I need to talk to Yaxley I have heard a great deal and I need to dicuss things with him."

Nikki rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah like what? death eater stuff?" she muttered under her breath. "Father, please don't embrass me in front the others."

"I suggest you behave then" Draco replied. "Let's get moving shall we or I might not let you stay."

Nikki stared at her father and said "You won't dare" and continued walking. As they got to the door Nikki knocked and hoped that her father wouldn't stay to long

"Alright you guys", she started, getting off of her bed. "Are you ready? Lets do it." She walked over to the door and poked her head out. The coast looked clear. She motioned for the others to follow her and started creeping towards her father's study. She took a deep breath as she got to the door. She could do this. She had to.

Alexander glared at the man for at least a full minute before responding. "Alright, well, let's just get things done", he said tersely. He lowered his voice a bit before continuing. "We will need to be especially discrete as my daughter has "company", though I can't under-" Damn it. Who could that be now? He sighed and opened the door. He was quite surprised to find Draco Malfoy standing at his door. He gave the man an icy look. He was a traitor to the old ways. In fact, there had been some suspicious activities that had transpired between him and some of Alexander's very good business partners. This man had caused him a loss, something he wasn't going to be quick to forget. "Get lost somewhere, did you?" he asked harshly. He was so surprised my Malfoy's presence that he completely failed to notice the girl standing next to him.

"I am here because your daughter has invited my daugther to stay over" he said gesturing to Nikki. before letting Nikki answer he said "I am also here because I have been sent by.." He looked at his daugther and said "someone." and handed Alexander a letter.

She looked for her father to Mr Yalxey and smiled a first impression is important even if he hated her father, she was nothing like him. "pleasure to meet you sir" she said in her charming voice.

"Yes well as you can see. I had no chocie but to come. You know I would not be here if it was not important and as the letter says..." he said frowning. his eyes never leaving Alexander's eyes

Kayla took a deep breath and followed behind Camira. "Ready as I'll ever be" she said quietly feeling the adrenalin pumping through her veins and her heart pumping fast in her chest.
