Hey guys! Just saw the new Star Trek movie today and went on another 'new rp' rampage. Anyway, here it is!

The year is 2277 (nearly twenty years after the newly-made movie ends), and the battle in space is still raging on. The United Federation of Planets has been making more enemies than they'd like and the time has come for a new fleet of ships.

On these ships are people from a whole collection of species and planets. Along with the humans and Vulcans (humanoid - pointed ears and little to know emotions), some of the Breens and Romulans have also consented to help the Federation. The Breens are known for their human-like qualities, though they are tougher and more durable, but are prone to war. The Romulans, too, are humanoid, but with many markings like tattoos that they have from birth. Little does the Federation know that wizards and witches, too, are joining in the fight to protect their beloved planets. The Romulans, however, are not happy with the treachery of their kind and will also be RP'd.

And this is where our story starts --- the new fleet of the Federation, fighting for the rights of the people within it. The following information should be included in your bio:

Personality: Shane is quite the immature guy. He loves playing pranks on others including those of higher authority such as the captains and lieutenants. He’s quite well known throughout for his antics. Aside from being a jokester, Shane is also bluntly honest. He’s the sort of guy who doesn’t think before he speaks and so he’ll blurt out the first thing he’s thinking. If he thinks you’re ugly, he’ll tell you without any regard to the consequences. Don’t get him wrong, he would never intentionally hurt someone. He just doesn’t think that far ahead. Shane has no shame. He’ll do just about anything to entertain people. He loves being the clown. He’ll take on any dare and won’t even ask for anything; just as long as someone is watching. He loves the attention. And in the end, Shane is your typical male.

Residance: Ari lived with her grandfather: Helian, untill his death several years ago, she now lives in a small apartment, not far from school.

Family: Ari's parents died when she was young and she was sent to live with her Romulan grandfather, who never let her deal with anyone, unless they were Romulan. After his death, Ari branched out and joined the Star Fleet.

Hair: Ari has long, curly, black hair, that she traditionally has tied up into a ponytail.

Eyes: Dark Green, almost brown.

Misc: Ari has a long, dark green, flowery looking tattoo that starts at the nape of her neck and goes down to her lower back, where it connects around her waist. Ari has had this tattoo since she was born.

Personality: Ari is somewhat shy around new people, but quickly gets over it and can be very open and kind. Ari hates having people do things for her and rarely depends on other people, even her closest friends and in most cases will become increaseingly annoyed untll she allows her opinion be known.
Ari is very stubborn and prone to argueing in order to sort things out, she has never been the kind to fall for a guy, has never had a steady boyfriend (Something she partly blames her grandpa for) and isn't very interested in finding someone to spend the rest of her life with.
But, for all these things Ari is easy to get along with and is very trusting of people often to a fault, she is smart and thoughtful as well and is very intelligent.

History: Leon grew up with his weathly parents and older brother in a huge mansion in Scotland. Although he was given plenty of toys and taught plenty of important things, Leon felt underappreciated throughout his youth. due mostly to his parents obvious favoritism toward his older (nearly ten years his senior) brother Liam, who was the perfect model of aristocratic preening, had already been promoted three times and was still living with his family.
At the age of ten, Leon began to secretly rebel against his strict parent's rules. (no eating chocolate, no talking to poor people, no making a mess and no loud music) But it wasn't untill he was fifthteen that he became so fed up with his overly controlling parents that he packed up his things one night and ran away from home. Ever since then he's been living on his own.

Personality: Leon is very quiet and calm, he's known to be secretive and can easily keep his emotions under wraps. Leon hates being told what to do, but despretely wants structure and peace in his life. Leon loves life and wants to live it to the fullest, because he knows how horrible it is to lead a dull life.
Leon is somewhat flaky and he hates explaining anything, Leon loves working with his hands and doesn't know what he wants to do with the left of his life, and he perfers it that way.

Personality: Out of the flavours sweet, bitter, sour and spicy, spicy would probably describe her best. She's hates it when she loses and when she does, she gets bad tempered. But when she's winning, she'll be in the best mood. She's definitely very rough, and not just on the edges, but all over too. She's hard to deal with and things have to go her way. The only person who she'll listen to is her Captain. She's loyal to her side and sticks to the beliefs of the Romulans.
Background: Was always travelling with the army as her family was a military family. Which probably why she ended up being so rough and tough. She's definitely someone you don't want to cross or you'll be sorry.

Alex rarely takes no for an answer, and always looks for other options before even considering defeat. However, all of this is done quickly in her book, because she hates to see anyone hurt. She loves an adventure, which is why she took the job that was offered, not to mention she is an overachiever. She is one of the youngest Captains in the history of Starfleet. However, unlike many, she doesn't let this go to her head. She has a cool head, and nothing of a temper, although this does make her appear to be cold hearted. There is only a rare occasion when she is angry, the key word being rare. She tends to get too adventurous, but she will never put the lives of others in danger, she only takes volunteers in these cases- and only after a lot of convincing.
Background:
Since she was a little girl, Alex has always looked up to the stars and wished to be among them- well, travel among them. Her mother always encouraged the dream, although her Dad thought her thoughts should be more down to earth. Although both of her parents were magical, Alex managed to balance wizard and muggle life, and loved learning both. Then, her dreams came true when she was accepted to the Star Fleet academy, and she went with no delay- although her father once more disapproved. Not long after, her mother died, and Alex made sure to leave the planet as soon as possible.

Personality: Not as stiff as many Vulcans, and not as emotional as many humans, Turvoc is halfway between the two- most of the time. Certain sides show themselves when the situation calls for it, although he has learned control and appropriate behavior in a variety of environments. Extremely intelligent, Turvoc is able to assist in almost any situation, although he sometimes gets ahead of himself and has to backtrack. He does have a temper, which appears when provoked.
Background: Raised on Earth, Turvoc's parents each tried to instill part of their heritage within him. Therefore, he is constantly at war with himself as to what he should or should not say, do, or show. He has gotten better with this struggle throughout his school years, but the escape from earth is a most welcome blessing.

Race: Romulan
Side: Romulan
Job Aboard: Weapons Specialist
Appearance:

Personality: Fairly violent, Karnak will not be opposed to knocking a few heads to get what he wants. Otherwise, he is a fair character with ambitions and will achieve them on the side of violence. He likes looking at a situation from many angles, but may not be patient enough to look at them from all angles. However, he does have a knack for escapes.
Background: Not much of one, at least, not that he is willing to remember. Best just to leave it alone and hope that nothing comes up...

Yep! I was just waiting for someone to post, lol, so it was clear we were starting when I posted instead of editing. And we're off!

Lieutenant Kirk was watching the ship ease forward and away from the others as their journey began. She couldn't quite hide her excitement to begin - her first voyage as first officer! It was was amazing to her that this was all beginning for her so young. She only hoped it wouldn't end as quickly....

Captain Gallkin was stalking around the control room of the ship, seeing to that everything was in order. He was in a right foul mood - his spy whom had been getting all his inside information from the federation had been found out. Well, it was a sticky end for both sides and he would have to be far more careful with the next. They were suspicious now....

Lieutenant Crius's eyes watched as her captain paced around the control room-- well he more stomped around it more like it. She knew he was in a bad mood and didn't dare speak to him. Not until she was spoken to. She knew why he was angry and she didn't blame him. She was rather angry too. After all, they spy had to be more careful. The idiot was found out! She sighed and shook her head. She shouldn't think about this now. They had more important things to worry about.

Shane, meanwhile, was aboard the U.S.S. Trienbar and just kicking back. He was sitting in a chair and leaning back with his feet up on the control panel in front of him. He was brilliant guy but just incredibly lazy with not an ounce of motivation. He had his eyes close as he rested. He worked too hard aboard this ship and he never got a break. People were just so uptight sometimes. He then yawned and leaned back further waiting for something to happen. Anything, it didn't really matter.

Captain Gallkin looked at those around him and was pleased to see them all looking intimidated. He leered at them, quickly abolishing his angry manner and turning serious once more. It appears that you must all redouble your efforts, lest we have more.... ah.... accidents. He stared around at them, his harsh eyes daring any one of them to contradict him. He knew no one would. Man your stations! We're taking off immediately! He stalked to the middle of the room and sat down in his chair, waiting to begin their journey. The place had been previously disclosed. They were going to find these new Federation ships.....

Crius then turned around in her chair in order to concentrate on the task at hand. They were about to take off. She ran her eyes over all the details in front of her. It seemed everything was in order where she was. She then stood up and approached Gallkin. "Captain," she said saluting him out of respect, "we're ready," she reported to him. "Everyone's at their respective post. We can leave and begin to search for the Federation." She then stood waiting for any other orders from him.
