Time Turners

~Plot~
It is the turn of the Century. 1889. London is going through a dramatic industrial and social revolution. The streets are bleak and dirty. The muggles lurk with sallow-faced grins and wild stares. The Wizarding Society goes on as usual - except for one particularly dark wizard.

Mortecai Finch grew up in the secluded moors with his demented family. He grew without ever learning of the world and the cultures around him. Mortecai's parents passed and so he adventured out on his own right into a revolution. Overwhelmed and very intrigued, he began to mix his misunderstood magic with the new muggle inventions to take advantage of those around him.

One auspicious day, however, he ran into a particular witch, Ruebelle, who noticed his odd actions. She confronted him about his inventions and how he had discovered he could use magic. Although Mortecia was already an adult, Ruebelle told him of Hogwarts and other magical schools, etc. She took Mortecai to the ministry of magic, but everyone rejected him for his crooked misguided ways of mixing magic with muggle inventions and threatened to send him to Mungo's. In his frustration, he turned on Ruebelle, the only one that cared for him and in his frustration began to use his powers for dark intentions.

Mortecai, or the Bronze Vagabond, returned to his broken down home in the moors and built it up into a great, leaning, bronze and iron building. He recruited several dark wizards once he learned of them to take over the ministry of magic.

There is one small hiccup of this entire event. It wasn't supposed to happen. A group of Witches and Wizards in present time study the past in the future to protect their present. Their group name is, "The Palladin Society." Ruebelle was a part of the Palladin Society. She traveled back when she heard a dark wizard with a Time Turner murdered Mortecai's parents to make sure Mortecai used his immense powers for good. When her quest failed in an awful tragedy, a large group of witches and wizards are trained in the tricky art of time travel to end Mortecai's dark reign on London's past so that they may have a future.

History of the Palladin Society

The Palladin Society, or P.S., was created after the first few time turners were created. A Wizard by the name of Korgus Forte believed that a witch or wizard who could travel in time could also cause damage to their present. He gathered a trusted group of Witches/zards who were skilled in the art of transfigurations. (That way, when taken to specific time, they could transform into a member of that time periods society with ease.)

When a dark witch/zard got a hold of a time turner, it was always a great idea to head into the past to change a specific detail so that when returning to the present, situations would turn in their favor. It was the P.S. member's job to also travel back in time to stop that witch or wizard's attempt.

Since then, the head of the Palladin Society has been given to the next in line of the Forte family - or a trusted friend of the Forte's family. In our present time, the head of the Palladin Society was Ruebelle Forte, since she passed however in the last attempt to travel back, the order was given to her best friend - Rania Ramone. Just because it's easier to keep the plot stable =]

History
Rania grew up near Spinner's End. She was raised by her muggle mother and pureblood father. Although they were by no means wealthy, they led a very humble life. Rania's childhood was rough as several times they were near living on the streets. Korin, her father's, broom specialities shop in Diagon Alley began tumbling downwards. Their only income was her mothers - a Vet Tech. Rania was able to go to Hogwarts only if she could work for it. She worked for the ministry in training magical creatures to track dark magic, etc. With her earnings she'd buy her books, potions, etc.

Personality
Rania is humble and a bit on the ...er... poor side, but gets along just as well. She's outgoing but firm to befriend those with money. She is extremely spunky and can sometimes be mistaken for outspoken. Animals, magical or not are her absolute favorite. She has a Border Collie named Zoko who follows everywhere - even into the past or future on her quests. Rania is the founder of the London Magic Theatrics Society and travels to Hogwarts twice a year to teach the students of Time Travel.

History
Meric went to Hogwarts with Rania and grew up with her family. He was raised in a small orphanage between Spinners End and the last street of the city Sumpter. At three years old they found him unconscious in a vehicle during the heat of the summer. Since going to Hogwarts, began writing his own books on Arithmancy and Potions - his favorite subjects. He managed to save enough money through many years of dirty work to open his own book shop.

Personality
Meric is very light-hearted. He can easily crack a joke in the midst of the worst of times. Since his books became more popular he's been using his money to help reconstruct small orphanages much like the one his was brought up in. He and Rania are best friends and have been since childhood. Meric quit as a Time Turner when Ruebelle died - his fiance - but is considering coming back.

Personality: MJ is recently graduated from Hogwarts. She is a halfblood, her mother being a witch and her father a muggle. She is probably the youngest member of the Palladin Society, with almost 18 years old. She's confident, brav and slightly volatile. There's too many things the wants to do and that's where she finds the determination to join the Palladin Society and fight, so that there will be a future. She not a quiter, and she does not give up until she gets what she wants.

Background: MJ found out she was a witch when she received her letter form Hogwarts. Her father always known that both his wife and daughter were magical and dealt with it the best way possible. MJ is an only child, a fact that she regrets, but is now used to it. She like sto cause a strong impression on people. She's loyal and besisdes all the headaches she has been giving to her parents since she was a little girl, she loves them.

Extra:
*1 - MJ was known in Hogwarts for being claled to the Headmaster's office at least once a month, but she has something that makes others around her to like her - probably because she's honest in every situation. She always speaks her mind, even though it might hurt

Jay Byne was well-brought up. His family was very wealthy and his parents are well-respected Ministry officials. Before attending Hogwarts, he was home-schooled and learned many basic skills. At Hogwarts, he was a brilliant student, like most Ravenclaws, and became prefect and Head Boy. He came out with NEWTS in Potions, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms and Tranfiguration.

Personality
Though Jay's family is rich and have high-ranking jobs in the Ministry, he is very humble and doesn't like to admit it. He is actually shy and hard-working. He is friendly to everyone but isn't very social. He is a major bookworm, and gets very into his work.

Alyson was the only daughter of her parents.She is brave and always stands for truth.She values friendship more than anything.Eventhough she was a gryffindor she was really studious and created a history by winning all the prizes that Hogwarts offered.She was the gryffindor Quidditch Captain and helped her team win any times.

Alyson loved both her jobs and enjoyed being a member of Palladin Society.
She felt it was the perfect kind of job for her because she can almost be called as a social butterfly and she had all the respectable qualities of a Gryffindor and was as brainy as a Ravenclaw.

Diagon Alley was particularly dark that evening. The star-speckled sky hung low and the moon pulled close for hefty tides. Each corned beckoned out into blackness, grabbing the stare of each passer-byer. Shadows were uncommon ghostly scenes stretching across the streets. Winds were alluring terrestrial breezes that tangled loose tongues in nearby windows. Rania pulled her cloak nearer her body with a slight spring chill and sighed. She could already sense the change in the air. Her hair had turned a tinge brown and fingers much longer than normal. Her very genetic structure was being pulled in odd ways.

She turned a sharp corner with wary eyes and bounded up a small flight of steps to a small wooden door with the letter, "P.S." engraved above. She pulled out her abnormally long wand and muttered, "extravagante." The tiny door stretched tall and white, whizzing sparks flew into darkness. The letters, "P.S." popped out and became two peculiar words, "Palladin Society."

"That's more like it," Rania grinned with self satisfaction and opened the enormous oak door, it's crystal cut nob sprung in her palm.
The building on the other side of the door was simple. One small room on the left as one immediately walked in - an office full of files and such for keepers of time, and beyond the small room was a giant hall. Rania pointed her wand to the ceiling and instantly the gloomy hall was filled with glowing ambient light.

"They should be arriving any minute - why ... sooner if they've received my urgent owl... these are grave matters," she said to a medium sized dog that had followed her into the hall, "Zoko ..." she addressed the Border Collie, "if you would be a dear, fetch house shoes."

I know it's long, but it's necessary for an introduction. Anywho, have at it!

Kalina Rasaline made her way to the head quarters of the Paladin Society after after recieving an urgent owl to return. It had seemed like forever since they last had a real mission. However considering what they did that was a good thing. As she made her way up the flight of steps and into the location she wondered what could possibly be so urgent she had to gather the whole gang back in the middle of the night. She yawned as she waited for their newly appointed leader Rania to tell them about the urgent mission.

Herminny = Bio? There are lots of open positions in the Palladin Society, btw. =] Did you still want to be Mortecai as well?

History: Jamaul was abandoned by his muggle parents when he recieved his letter to go to Hogwarts. He's lived a hard life living on crumbs, living on the streets and just getting by. He has grown by the words "The weak die, The strong live." So he proved he was strong by living and making it through.

Personality: Jamaul is a very funny guy. However he is also a very drasticlly intense guy. He easily looses his temper over little things, and he's very sarcastic. He is also usually very polite, which suggests he might be bipolar, however its never been proven.

Running along the sewer stream, Jam came to a stop beside one of the many ladders that lead to the main street. He looked both ways down the sewer before starting to climb. As he reached around the halfway point of the long ladder, his cloak slipped between his foot and the ladder. Before he knew it he was falling, trying to catch one of the bars on the ladder as he went. THUMP. He hit the ground, giving a loud angry yell. STUPID BLOODY CLOAK!! UNBELIEVABLE! FOR PETES SAKE! he began yelling out in anger as he started to climb up the ladder again, still yelling, and making sure his cloak didn't come back around his feet.
He finally made it to the top, and blew the sewer lid off, literally blew it off with his wand before finally straightening up, still grumbling and mumbling in anger. He set off down the dark ally, talking to his cloak along the way. If you ever! Ever! pull something like that again. I sware it'll be the trash for you. Do you understand me? he finished as he turned another corner and stomped angrily up a small flight of stairs. Extravagante he thought tapping the small door lightly. He walked in when it finished sizing up properly and took off his cloak as he walked to his chair and desk area (**I'm assuming theres desks for each of the PS members? If not i'll take this out**) and sat down with a large grunt. Alright, where is Rania, and everyone else for this urgent letter. Stupid cloak. he thought bitterly. It was totally like other people to make him wait.

Haha. OMG, I love you character. I love that it's Will Smith - that srsly made my day. =]

"I'm right here," Rania replied, stepping out from the shadows, she uncrossed her arms and stretched out her half-gloved hands, "and it's good to see you two after such a long time."

It was indeed good to see her two old friends before her, the soft light shining from above casting shadows onto their confused faces - confused, and yet determined.

"I'm glad you guys could come. I'm worried. And I don't easily get worried," she paused and licked her lips, "well, I guess we could catch up anyways ... while we're waiting I mean."

He smiled. Ran! Its good to see you to girl! You look good! What have you been doing? Working out more? Trust me girl it shows! he told her happily. It had been forever since they chatted. He crossed his arms across his chest and leaned back in his chair, looking at Rania full figure. He flung himself up looking at her. Whoa! Hey. Where. Did you get those house shoes? he asked her, looking at his own shoes, torn and wet, which he now noticed he left a little wet trail from the door to his chair.
He looked over to the other girl. Hey now. It must be my lucky day. 2 girls and me all alone. Ya'll know what I'm sayin right? he joked around. Kaline girl its been awhile. What is up with you! he asked as he crossed the room to give her a big bear hug.

Rania grinned and she pointed her wand at her house shoes, "imposto!"
The warm, cozy house shoes at once turned into worn, old work shoes, "These old things you mean? Merely an illusion," she smiled pleasantly and watched her two friends reunite, "I can do the same for yours if you like," she chuckled and kneeled down as Zoko came bounding down the room excitedly to her heels.
"And there's no working out for this gal. Just the usual - just with less food from lack of income," she chuckled, "I think I'll start growing myself a garden."

Jam broke away from Kaline and headed towards Rania. Thats a neat trick. I think I'll keep mine like they are though. And don't think your getting away from the hug greeting either! he said happily as he reached Rania and gave her a big bear hug too. He let her go and leaned back against the wall. Gardens are good. I've been living off my garden now for a few weeks. Mind you I feel like a vegitarian since all I have are fruits and veggies. he muttered angrily. But he was happy he was able to create a nice garden to keep him with some food so he wouldn't go days without eating.

Rania relished in the embrace and then stood against the wall beside him, "I could live off of potatoes forever. They're my favorite. Oh, and cooked carrots. The both together are mouth watering," she found herself starring off, "Eversince the Gringotts crisis ... I think everyone's living off of their own personal gardens," Rania added, referring to the strange happening at Gringotts a bit less than two months ago. Quite suddenly, money had - little by little - began disappearing from the vaults. The prideful watchers had become emotionally unstable trying to figure out how it happened beneath their watchful eyes.
"I'm sure it has something to do with Ruebelle's mission failing," she went on ruefully, "things just keep getting darker and bleaker, you know?"

Jay Byne tried to be on time, but this owl came quickly and he had to apparate halfway across the country. He crept into the Palladin Society meeting place. The place intimidated him with it's grandeur and simpleness. Everything is an illusion in this world, he thought. He quietly navigated the hallways, getting more familiar with the place with each step. Finally, he could hear voices of casual conversation. He turned into a room to find Rania, Jamual and Kalina. He went into a desk near the middle and sat down, watching the other member.

Jamual nodded. He also noticed Jay come in. Jay man! Whats up my brotha! he askedh im excitedly. Jay come here man. I got something for yea. he continued talking to Jay. He turned back to Rania. Yea, but you know what. We're gunna make things good again. Thats what we do. he said quickly and leadershipery(lol, sp?).

Rania's heart fluttered faint. She clapped Jay on the back and smiled, "Yes it is. Ruebelle would be happy to hear that. How've you been Jay? Has Gringotts got your family all tied up in knots?"

Personality: Leah is a very quiet person, but if she has something to say, she doesn't hold back. She doesn't like trouble and tends to avoid people she thinks are bound to stray there, but somehow she seems to get caught in the middle of things anyway. She loves to help people and puts others before herself in nearly every situation
Appearance: Leah is 5'6" and is about 135 lbs - not stick thin, but average. She's never extremely pale and has dark blue eyes. Her hair is a light blond and hangs in small curls or waves most of the time.
History: Leah was raised in Addlestone Moor by her two parents. Her mother is the writer of a set of popularly used Hogwarts schoolbooks, while her father was the inheritor of a great deal of money from his deceased parents. She has an older brother, Jacob, who is 29 and has a son named Ethan. Her brother lives in wizarding London and both he and his sister like to drop in on each other as much as they can.


Leah made her way down the cobbled street in her dark purple cloak - hood pulled up, of course - and finally reached the entrance to headquarters. She was a bit anxious to what was happening, but she was just as eager to help in anyway she could. She stepped into the door, shaking off the leftover rain from the banks of Surrey on her cloak, and finally lowering her hood as she stepped into the alighted room. Good Evening, she said with a small to those in the room.
