House of Gaunt (Inactive RPs)This is the forum where all of the unfortunate roleplays go when they become inactive in Borgins or The Manor. You may reactivate an RP if you PM one of our staff. No posting.
Overview: Having just finished her OWLs, Rachel Rider definitely needs a vacation. And who better to spend it with than her best friend and newly acquired boyfriend - who just so happens to be one of the Muggle world's hugest film stars. Neat, huh? And so, after extensive begging on Rachel's part of her uncle, Jake Rider, the sixteen year old had packed her bags and got onto the plane to LA with 'bff' Olivia Zhang to meet up with 'bf' Reid Hemingway for the summer of a lifetime.
But things will probably not go smoothly when Rachel and Livvy meet Reid's gang of friends. After all, do teenage school girls and teenage superstars have that much in common? And will things go downhill when Rachel meets her boyfriend's female co-star, with whom Reid will have to spend long hours instead of being with his girlfriend? Plus, in order to even be ALLOWED on set, the girls will have to make it into the director's good books.
Hmmm.... Should be fun!
Act I (really short - more of an introduction): Flying and meeting Reid at the airport. Act II: LA and Hollywood Act III: London Act IV: Paris
This RP is invite-only. Please do not post here unless you have cleared it with both me AND Esme. If you want to join, send us both a PM stating who you would like to be and once cleared, a biography of your character (to BOTH of us).

Character Bios:
SPOILER!!: All in here
SPOILER!!: Reid Hemingway
Name: Reid Alexander Hemingway
POB: Wiltshire England
DOB: June 30th.
Age: 17, turns 18 at beginning of RP
Siblings: Twin Brother Alex(deceased)
Parents: Richard Hemingway and Victoria Christianson
Relationship status: Taken
History:
Reid was born in England but when he was only a few months old his parents made the move to Washington D.C, the capital of all things politic in America. Both were from well off families and so they easily made a niche for themselves in the high society, both muggle and wizarding. His parents are both politicians and were busy with work most times, leaving Reid and his brother to entertain and look after themselves.
When Reid was three he began modelling childrens clothes, his mother having been enlisted by a fellow socialite to have him in her campaign. He seemed to pull it off well and his parents got him an agent. He soon started making a lot of money from his projects, however this left his brother Alex alone more than anyone would like. At age eight Alex got extremely ill, catching pneumonia and eventually dieing from it. Reid however didn’t catch the disease as he was in another city at the time taking part in a modelling campaign. He did however feel when his brother passed away and ever since there has been a whole in his heart that can never be filled.
After that Reid could hardly stand going home and so he lived in L.A under the supervision of a nanny whom had been with the family for quite a few years. It was here that he met his friends, all of who worked or knew someone who worked in the same industry that he himself was in. These people are ones that he has come to know as family and it was one of these friends that got him into acting in the first place, although they weren’t responsible for making him a star.
When Reid turned eleven though he had a severe breakdown and ended up in hospital for nearly a year due to psychological damage and a sickness that seemingly no-one could figure out. They still don’t know what it was. After that year though he recovered and began to attend a prestigious school in L.A, somehow managing to be in the same year as his friends who had all seemingly decided not to start school before he did. Although he always secretly suspected that they were really using the year to further their careers before they had to virtually disappear off the face of the earth for a couple of months.
At thirteen he befriended Sienna Autumn Perry, a girl who seemingly had it all. They were working together on a modelling campaign which was run by her mothers company. The two later realised that they went to the same school and connected more their, with Sienna introducing Reid into LA’s high society, her family being at the pinnacle of it. The best thing she ever did to Reid though was introduce him to her father, the man who brought Reid into the limelight as an actor and the man who is an unofficial father-in-law, at least if Reid and Sienna’s parents have their way.
When he was fifteen Reid began dating Sienna, something that both their parents took as a good sign, seemingly no-one could resist her not even Reid. However things began to change as Reid became more and more distant from the girl, eventually breaking up with her a few months before his seventeenth birthday. The break-up was merely the official ending of the relationship, with Reid having acknowledged it as over almost four months before they broke up. However Sienna still held out hope that they would get together again and Reid didn’t do much to dissuade that fact as he had not met a girl that he loved and knew that it was what his parents and hers wanted. Plus they looked good together and image was everything, he also helped Sienna get the job as a leading lady, leading lady in the film he was now about to shoot.
Moving to England Reid met Rachel who he likes a lot, more than a lot. She’s even his girlfriend. Because of this he sent an owl to Sienna telling her that there was no chance of them ever getting back together, an owl that apparently never reached her…
Bio:
Reid is bright and loving with acting a modelling being his current passion. However he thinks that one day he’d like to be a politician. He’s extremely serious when it comes to his work what with being a method actor, something he knows will cause problems when it comes to Rachel. He’s also empathetic when it comes to people and shares a special bond with animals, who he simply adores, almost as much as he adores Rachel. However when with friends alone he likes to relax which can sometimes end badly as they go to parties thrown by other upper class teens and generally get into mischief.

More About My Character:
-Personality: Rachel has changed quite a bit from the shy, scared first year she used to be. She's much more confident and allows herself to do stupid things for the fun of it without thinking about it too much. She is a very broad minded person and does not tolerate stereotypes, even thought she sometimes does it herself. As a typical Ravenclaw, she tends to over analyze unimportant things in her head; but when it comes to serious matter she regularly blurts out what she thinks – and usually believes that those comments are stupid. She's very talkative as opposed to what she used to be, and has many great acquaintances at Hogwarts that wouldn’t be able to live without.
Rachel is an extremely self-judgmental person, and always worries about how she might appear in front of others. Back in her younger years, that only included verbal comments and jokes but lately she has grown to care a lot about her appearance and tries a lot harder to look pretty than she used to.
-Strongest Classes: Astronomy, Charms, Arithmancy
-Weakest Classes: Herbology, Divination
-Background: Rachel's history is not an easy one, but her friends’ support and obviously her uncle had helped her get through it. Back when Rachel's biological mother was pregnant with her, the family found out that her brother (Rachel's uncle) was a wizard (he was always weird - did bizarre things). Rachel's grandparents were so shocked and disappointed that they abandoned him with a limited amount of money and kicked him out of the house. He has never talked to them since.
A few years after Rachel was born, she started behaving oddly too and when she got her letter her parents feared what her grandparents would say and just lied and told them that she was going off to an accelerated school (she was smart enough for them to believe it, and they were old enough to not remember to ask for the specifics). She had gone off to Hogwarts with much excitement, yet she always had this nagging feeling that something odd was going on. Her parents acted as if her being a witch was the greatest thing in the world, but she sometimes noticed that their smiles – especially her mother’s – didn’t fully reach their eyes. No one had ever told her about her uncle (she didn't even know she had one) and she found out only during her third year that she wasn't the only magical person in her family. Her uncle Jake had contacted her and after a few complications, they met and he told her everything.
She had been really angry with her parents after the secret was revealed and following a lot of crying, misery and debates with herself; she decided to move in with Jake (this was her idea, not Jake's) and emancipate herself completely from her parents for good. She still misses them sometimes; but not nearly enough for her to go back.
Now, a couple of years later, Rachel lives happily with her uncle in his flat at Hogsmeade. At first it looked like it wasn’t going to work out since the apartment is unbelievably small and Jake had to clear a whole room full of his junk (he has LOTS of junk) to create a bedroom for Rachel – and on her part, Rachel had to get used to living in a small cramped space with just enough money to live on and that’s it. But they got used to each other and found that they were more alike than they had ever hoped for. Rachel wouldn’t trade her life with Jake for anything; he might be her uncle, but he was the best father to her in the world.

Personality: Not much has changed with Livvy during the five years that she has attended school at Hogwarts. She's still pretty much the same girl, an all around bubbly and energetic girl. She's very down to earth and outgoing and loves to help people, whether she's able to or not. She's kindhearted and giving and loves hanging out with her friends that she loves to death. If she likes you and thinks you're a good person... it'll definitely show. Livvy will treat you as if she's known you her entire life.
Although her outward appearance may seem all cool, things may be messed up inside. Livvy dislikes showing her hurt and her vulnerable side, always keeping it bottled up inside. She's stubborn, has pride, and independent. But the loneliness always catches up to her and bites her in the behind.
Despite all the things that nag at her, Livvy's a cheerful girl and always tries to keep up a happy atmosphere. She finds comfort in settling in with a good book to read and her earphones in her ears as she listens to her favorite music. Livvy also soothes herself by playing instruments that she knows how to play; such as the piano, the violin, and the guitar. She enjoys a good joke every now and then and loves to sketch in her sketchpad for pleasure.
Livvy tries to keep an open mind towards everyone that she meets and tries to keep a positive attitude. She can't help but attempt to see the good side of the people around her, yet keeping her distance between them. Although Livvy's friendly, there's a thin line between people that she truly trusts and people that haven't crossed it.
Although Livvy will never admit it, she holds a slight dislike for Reid. It wasn’t really anything that he did, despite his unpleasant attitude towards her when she accidentally interrupted him and Rachel in a private moment. But it was just something about him that triggered something in Livvy to cause her to dislike him. But she’s hoping that this summer holiday will change things and her opinion on him.
One important thing you have to know about Livvy, is that she doesn't believe in this thing you call 'LOVE'. She believes it's all fake and will only end up in pain and tears, especially after personal experience. In which she calls a 'detour in life'. There's many secrets that Livvy hasn't told anyone and probably won't until they prove worthy of her trust.
History: Livvy’s mother, who’s named was Tina, was young when she first met Livvy’s father, a name unknown. It was ‘love’ at first sight between the two. Tina was a famous Taiwanese cellist visiting the city of London for a classical music concert. At that time, Livvy’s father had graduated from Hogwarts for at least three years and now worked in the Ministry. One of his passions outside of work was classical music, which was how the two met. Also the ‘doom’ of her mother’s life, according to Livvy.
Livvy’s father immediately fell in love with her mother after listening to her music, and the two met up at a party that followed up afterward. After some poor choices and judgment, Tina was soon with child, which scared Livvy’s father immensely. As much as he loved Tina, his love for her wasn’t strong enough for him to give up his ‘bachelor life’. Yet he didn’t have the guts to leave Tina quite yet… but marrying her wasn’t a choice. So nine months passed by, the couple had traveled back to Taiwan, and Livvy was born. Unable to deal with it all anymore, Livvy’s father split and left the two in the hospital as he flew back to London.
Tina who had been devastated, found it difficult to continue on with life. She left Livvy on the doorstep of some random person’s house, leaving a letter explaining everything (except for including her father's name) in Livvy’s hands… Harry Potter style. Never did she ever appear again in Livvy’s life. The person living in the house, ended up giving Livvy and the letter to an orphanage, where she was later adopted by a woman named Mari in year 2054.
At age eleven, Livvy was accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and has been attending ever since. And as of now, Livvy lives in a foster house with Mari, living with seven other foster siblings. And that’s the story of Livvy that she hasn’t told before and which is also a key factor in why she doesn’t believe in ‘love’. Because love or not… it’s never enough.

SPOILER!!: Sienna Autumn
haracter Name: Sienna Autumn
Character Name Meaning: Reddish Brown, Fall Season,
Character Nickname: Autumn
Character Lastname: Perry [it is never used, many don't even know it]
Gender: Female
Birthdate: December 7th 2052
Age: 17
Actress Full Name: Jenna Dewan
Height: 5'9
Eye Color: Green-Hazel
Hair Color: Reddish Brown
Statistics: Sienna is normally described as a stunning bombshell of the Upper Classes. With her long brown naturally highlighted tresses, and her gorgeous green to hazel eyes, it is obvious why she is one of her Mother's best models. At 5'9 [without any heels, although they are normally strapped to her feet] she is a great height to be a model, and to not outshine her male counterparts on the big screen.
Personality: Sienna is a triple-thread to any female who wants to lay her claim on Reid. Not only is she a Witch [which she doesn't include in the threats], she is a dancer—especially ballet--, a model and an actress. She knows that she can have almost anything that she wants, and will stop at almost nothing to get it; whether that means working hard herself or getting someone else to get it for her. However, she acts like the prim and proper Lady, and is never seen publicly with a strand of hair out of place. She cares for her friends, even if they are Upper-Class, High-Society teenager's.
Bloodline: Pureblood
Marital Status: Single, although there has been a familial agreement for Sienna and Reid to marry for roughly five years now.
Family: Sienna is the oldest of two children, her sibling is fourteen year old Rome. He too is a Wizard and attends the same school as his older sister. Their Mother, thirty-nine year old Milan Autumn-Perry is a world renowned Fashion designer. Sienna started to model for her at the age of ten, and while she was working there, she met Reid at a Teenager's Fashion-shoot her Mother's line was doing. Sienna's Father, Lincoln Perry is the Managing Director and Owner of Autumn Studio's; a chain of Film, Music and Art Studios. He also owns a chain of luxurious hotels [Autumn Hotel's and Resort's]. Although Autumn isn't his last name, his company gets its name from his wife's Maiden name, which was already a successful brand world-wide. Sienna first worked with her Father's film production company four years ago. Since then she has had small parts in three films. This Summer [with some help from her Father, Reid and the Director] she has gained her first Leading Lady place in a major blockbuster film.
Family Roots: Both Milan and Lincoln are from the American state of California. While Milan was born and raised in Los Angeles, Lincoln was born and raised in San Diego. However, they settled in Los Angeles' and that is where they raised Sienna and Rome.
Biography: Sienna has never wanted for anything. She got everything (and more) than she needed growing up, and she was always the leader of the Girls that grew up in LA. She met Reid on a photo-shoot that her Mother was shooting when she was twelve, “Fashion For Teen's”. Reid and Sienna were the two main models. Over the next few years, they worked together and got to know each other at school. Reid's Father was impressed with Sienna, and it was decided when she was only thirteen, that Reid and her were going to get married.
At some point though, it was Lincoln who told Milan to look and possibly hire Reid, and soon after Reid began his modeling career with Milan; after having already worked with Lincoln in the film industry for three years.. Not long after the marriage had been arranged, Sienna too got her on-screen début. Since then, she has had a few minor roles but has mostly continued with her dancing and modelling while School has continued. This is her first major role, and while the Director (Archibald), her Father and Reid had to persuade the Producer's and the rest of the crew, she had the vote from the three most important people.
Consistantly, her grades have been nothing less than excellent; and her reputation and record remain untarnished. If she finished her last year, in the same style as she has completed the rest she will be heading to one of the Ivy League schools across the States. However, for now, she is simply looking forward to spending a few months with her (unofficial) Fiancée.
SPOILER!!: Archibald Hainsworth
Name: Archibald Hainsworth
Nickname: Archie, Sir Archie
POB: August 17th, 2033
DOB: Glasgow, Scotland
Wizarding Heritage: Muggleborn
Age: 36 (turning 37)
Alma Mater: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Previous House: Ravenclaw
Strongest Subjects (past): Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms
Weakest Subjects (past): Herbology
Occupation(s): Director
Patronus: Dog
Wand: A strong willow wand, 11 3/4 inches, with a core of hippogriff tail hair.
Appearance:
+Hair - Scruffy brown with highlights of red and blond
+Eyes - Bluish gray
+Build – Athletic, muscular
+Complexion -White with a slight tan
+Height – 6'3"
+Model – Gerard Butler
Personality: Being an only child of the family when Archie was young, has made him more desolate and reserved. He was always alone with no one to play with and his parents were always flying off to job meetings or conventions, leaving Archie all alone in his house. He's gotten quite accustomed to being a loner and isn't very talkative. But he's grown to become more open towards people and as a director, he has to.
After attending Hogwarts, Archie's learned to crawl out of his mini man-hole. He's learned to participate in discussions more and contribute his opinions in how things are done. All which that help him in his vocation as a director. Archie is tough and doesn't give in easily. If he wants things done a certain way, they're gonna be done that way otherwise he's outta there. He's the perfect definition of a perfectionist and wants everything to be just perfect. Although Archie can be stubborn, he's still willing to listen to reason and to other people's ideas. Though most of the time, those ideas aren't better than his.
While Archie's on the job, he's commanding and firm. Things have to be done right and his way. He doesn't like it when people just 'wing it'. Archie's comfortable knowing that things will be done exactly as planned. And he doesn't care if he holds any bad impressions on people, because he just couldn't care less. But outside of the job, Archie can be a pretty carefree and easygoing guy. He's still young and still has a future ahead of him and likes to have fun every now and then. Archie is a humorous guy and sometimes if he's in a good mood, he'll crack a few jokes on the job which will break the ice.
Archie is an all around nice guy, as scary as he may seem. He's highly intelligent and observant, always thinking ahead. Which was why he was rather concerned when learning of the guests that Reid had planned on bringing. Archie always thinks about the outcomes and tries to make things right, always putting the people around him before himself, as odd as it may seem since he seems like a rather 'me' person when directing.
History: Archie came from a Muggle family and grew up as a Muggle. He lived in the city side of Glasgow, Scotland with his two parents. His father was a businessman while his mother was a hardworking surgeon at the local hospital, none of them that had the time to spend the day with Archie. Always alone, Archie found it hard to handle. There weren't any babysitters... no siblings to play with. And the city was so large and scary to little Archie.
Many times Archie had ventured out into the city and many of those times, he had gotten lost. But he found out how to take care of himself and how to feed himself while his parents were gone. But this type of treatment he could only handle so long. Archie grew reserved and was quite rebellious towards his ever-so-busy parents. And it was during that age period that Archie began to notice his magical abilities. Young, alone, and confused, he had even attempted many run-aways, but was always dragged back by his angry parents who always told him that he was all a mistake and that he was a burden towards them.
At age ten, Archie could no longer handle it and had a mental breakdown, similar to Reid Hemingway's, in which Archie sympathizes. He was sent to the hospital with a false last name, because at the time, his mother worked there and she simply didn't want to be ashamed in front of her co-workers.There, he began seeing psychologists, confiding in them about all his problems . The psychologists were Muggles of course, and didn't believe in any of the magical abilities thaat Archie spoke of. They classified his case as a serious one and Archie's parents disowned him, deserted him and left him with some last name which was Gilns.
Archie was seriously beginning to think he was going insane also, until a letter from Hogwarts came and saved him a year later. Escaping from the hospital, he found sympathy from a hobo, a loner like Archie, himself. The man decided to help Archie get to England, by stowing the eleven-year-old boy away in the storages. Within no time, the boy was in England. And how he had done it, Archie had no clue, nor had he had any remembrance of it in the present. But somehow, he had managed to get himself on that train to Hogwarts. Archie found a home within the house of one of the kind professors and lived with them until he was of age to get his own flat as he continued to attend the school.
After graduation, no longer wanting to stay in London any longer, Archie moved to Los Angeles. After being certified as a United States citizen, Archie changed his name to Hainsworth, a name that didn't relate to any of the surnames he wore in the past. For some time, he juggled around the idea of the Muggle film business. It was in that city that he prosperred as a famous director. And it was also in that city, where he met Sienna Autumn Perry and Reid Hemingway. Two children that he would befriend a decade later, and those exact two, in which he'd help to make famous.
Likes: Art, Muggle films, museums, trains, music, and his job.
Dislikes: Gossip ("Completely pointless"), Scotland (prejudiced towards his own home country), complete fools, and turtles (they give him the creeps).
Pet Peeves: When people completely ignore his orders and disobey him.
Family Members:
Mother - Geraldine Callaghan, age 64 (Location unknown and not wanted, last seen and spoken to in 2043)
Father - Edward Callaghan, age 66 (Location unknown and not wanted, last seen and spoken to in 2043)
SPOILER!!: Dillon Todd Hinderson
Dillon Tod Hinderson
Age: Seventeen almost Eighteen
POB: New York, New York
DOB: January 28
Blood type: Half and Half
Physical Description:
Height: 6.1
Build: Athletic, not skinny but not fat, just right.
Hair color: Blonde
Eye color: Green
Personality: Dillon is....well a normal teenage superstar. He's confident, outgoing, sarcastic at times, a big ladies man which makes him a HUGE flirt. He'll go after any girl that looks pretty enough for him, take them out for dinner, then break-up with them the next day, or week, giving the poor girls the satisfaction of having a good dinner, and going on a date with a super star.
He likes to hide what he's really feeling by either changing the subject, or by saying a witty or rude comment, just to make the person forget. He's not one for commitment, and is slightly jealous of his co-stars that actually have steady relationships.
Dillon also hates, I repeat, HATES cats. He believes that all they are good for is sleeping, eating, and being a pest. Of coarse....this might have to do with the fact that he is allergic to them. All in all he's a great guy....just with some tweeking to do.
History: Dillon was born in the busy city of New York, bright eyed and cute as a button, he was instantly loved by his parents. They loved him, and fed him, and called him Dillon, and their family was complete, with two older kids, his mother and father discided that was enough, and so their family was complete, well as complete as a bunch of wizards and witches can be.
Because of his looks and charming smile, he was used a lot for commercials and parenting magizene covers when he was four through seven. That was until....he turned eight.
They started using him for more commercials, but they also stuck him in movies, either as a side character, or as inoccent bystanding kid. His first real role was when he turned eleven and he played as the man person. Soon he was also added into T.V. shows as either guest stars, or just a actor in the show. He also when he turned eleven was taken away to the "special school" were he would learn all about magic, making even more trouble.
As the years went by, and as he got older, Dillon started working still as an actor, but also as a stunt performer, something he enjoys doing a lot. He's played as a run away teen boy, driving past police and many other obsticals and many other action packed roles, making him a gorgeous bad boy. What can he say? The ladies looooove him.

EEEEEEK!!! AMERICA! LA! REID! SUUUUUUMMER!!!!!! "But seriously Livs, how do they expect us to sit still on this thing?! We've been on this plane for SO many hours and yet that stewardess is STILL shooting evil looks at me!" Rachel stated crossly, practically jumping up and down in her seat. Ever since she and Livvy had left Heathrow Airport in London (it was SO hard to go back to being a muggle!) her excitement has come in waves - BIG ones, very close together.
She had spent the last few days packing and soon, VERY soon, they would finally be landing and she would get to be in her boyfriend's arms again! Unable to help it, she smiled at the word 'boyfriend'. There was just something so right and wholesome and just GOOD about calling Reid that. It felt natural.
Taking a sip from the cup of coke in front of her, Rachel attempted for the umpteenth time to concentrate on the movie they were all supposed to be watching but her attention kept drifting out the window and ahead - towards where she KNEW Reid would be waiting for her... Preferably with a bouquet, because he was all classy like that.
ZOMG! ZOMG! They were going to America. Livvy couldn't believe it herself... but here they were... on a plane to the states. And she was just sppaaaaazzziing out. "Well... maybe she's staring at you with an 'I'llkillyou' look because you won't stop jumping up and down," Livvy said, rolling her eyes as she held onto her best friend's arm, trying to make her stop. Sure... planes were exciting. But she had been on one only about a million of times.
Livvy hoped this trip would be a good one, yet it was still awkward to go on a trip with your best friend and her boyfriend. She didn't even know why she had agreed in the first place, considering she didn't hold a liking for the boy. But who knew? Maybe her opinion on him would change all because of this trip.
Plus.... it didn't mean she'd hafta spend time with both Rachel and Reid throughout the entire trip... right? His casting crew would be there, so it wasn't complete suicide. Maybe she'd live. Hopefully..... PLEASE?
Livvy glanced over in Rachel's direction who was trying to concentrate on the movie. Some weird Muggle movie... Pfft... Muggles. She too picked up her cup of coke and took a sip as she shifted around in her seat, trying to get comfortable. "So... you excited?" Livvy asked Rachel, trying to make small talk instead of wasting time to watch some movie.
Rachel waved Livvy's explanation off with her hand and grunted. That lady was EVIL - and her jumping up and down had nothing to do with it. Because seriously, when has jumping up and down ever annoyed anyone? Plus, she wasn't THAT bad - it was only little bounces and random squeals every now and then...
Ok, fine. But Evil Stewardess Lady was still being too mean.
"Excited? Me? Nah, I'm all calm and peaceful here... Inner peace," she replied and hummed the last part, her tone dripping with sarcasm. Her friend was evidently suffering from lack of oxygen to the brain since she was practically holding her down to stop Rachel from bouncing through the plane and yet was asking her if she was excited.
Pffft. "Oh LOOK! Only fifteen more minutes!! Can we see it yet? LA?" she exclaimed suddenly, flailing madly at the tiny screen above her which showed the time, altitude, temperature and blah blah blah. Eyes darting back towards the window, she squished her face onto the glass as she tried to spot it among the huge mass of land underneath them, pointedly ignoring the death looks Evil Stewardess Lady was shooting her.
At Rachel's answer, Livvy snorted. Calm? And peaceful? For real? Was she listening to what she was saying? This was all coming from the girl that couldn't stop bouncing up and down in her seat, which was making the stewardess go crazy. The lady looked MAAAAADDDD. Livvy wouldn't be surprised if the woman came over, kidnapped Rachel, and threw her off the plane. For that look on the woman's face... showed that it was exactly what she wanted to do.
Keeeelll me now... Livvy was going to keeell herself.
Stinky plane flights and their affect on witches and wizards. It was a hazard! Livvy made a note to herself to never allow Rachel to ride on a plane ever again after this summer. NEVER. Or... at least Livvy would have to sit about a good five rows away from the girl.
But Rachel's energy and spirit was annoyingly contagious. "Who-wha-whaaaatt?! Are we there?!" Livvy exclaimed, as she sat straight up in her chair and leaned closer to the window to get a good look. Bleeechh... it was just land. It didn't look like LA. What was this 'LA' place supposed to look like anyway? Were there are lots of buildings? Or was it just... lannnddd?
Sitting up and leaning closer to the window and to Rachel, Livvy too tried to smash her face against the window, despite all fury that the stewardess may be undergoing at that point. Who cares? THEY WERE IN LA!!!!! Or... almost.
"I don't know!! Is that LA?! I've never been - how am I supposed to know?!" Rachel answered quickly, eyes frantically searching the ground for anything to tell her that this was indeed LA.
WAAAAAAAIT a minute.
"OH MY DEAR MERLIN, Livs, look!!" the sixteen-year-old squealed loudly and pointed to the infamous 'Hollywood sign' that was now visible. WHEEEEEEEEEE!! She couldn't believe it - it was happening!! She was in America, without Jake, without any sort of adult supervision, with her best friend - about to meet her superstar boyfriend and his friends. !!!
She needed to breathe. BREATHE. Inhaling and exhaling air, Rachel forced herself to lean back into the chair and stare ahead of her. Evil Stewardess Lady was glaring at her now. She shrugged at her and was tempted to stick out her tongue too but then remembered that she was sixteen and that people her age didn't stick out their tongues to complete strangers.
Rachel gasped suddenly as she felt the plane begin to descend slightly, towards the airport. EEEK!! THEY WERE LANDING!! WHOOOOOO! "EEEEEP!" she squealed again, and pulled on Livvy's arm, bouncing up and down yet again.
"OHWAIIITT! Hold on!" Livvy yelled out towards the girl, as she looked for her book bag and pulled out a map of the state of California. Psh... like that was going to help her. But who knew? Livvy flipped the page to a map of Los Angeles... and ZOMG! ... she still had no clue.
HUUUH? Look?! Livvy shoved the map book back into the bag as she leaned back over towards the window. A 'Hollywood' sign! They must be in LA... right? She had heard all about it, through much research. Though difficult since there were no 'Muggle computers' where Livvy stayed at before the trip. With one of those computers, it'd all be done in a jiffy. But no... she had to go to the school library and flip through some books.
"We're there! We're there, right?!" Livvy exclaimed, excitedly as she began bouncing up and down along with the girl. YAAAAYYY!!! Hollywoood!!! Here they cooooommmee!!!
AAHHHHH!!!!... the plane was going down at an angle now... slowly... but Livvy could definitely feel the descent and booyyy was she excited. "WHAAAAA!!!!!" she yelled out as her arm was flung up and down because Rachel was grabbing it.
"A map? You bought a MAP? Seriously?" Rachel giggled as she eyed her best friend who was trying to decipher something on that mass of squiggly lines and colours. Personally, she couldn't care less for maps... They did nothing but confuse her most of the time - unless they were those cool ones that were ONLY countries and capital cities - and plus, she had hated Geography as a kid.
"YES, we ARE!! This is SO cool!!" she practically yelled, ignoring the annoyed looks everyone on the plane was sending her now... And flat out refused to look at the outraged, purple-coloured stewardess since it felt like the woman was currently capable of killing her with only her eyes.
And she was SCARY.
Grinning excitedly as her eyes focused on the screen above them, Rachel paid careful attention to the declining figures in the 'Altitude' thing. "So close... Come on, come on, just a bit more...
"Hey, wouldn't it be a bummer if - after we've worn ourselves out here squealing and yelling - we crash or something?" she asked nonchalantly, her gaze never leaving the blue screen.
Who-whhaaa? Was Rachel making fun of her. Sticking her nose into the air and puckering her bottom lip, Livvy narrowed her eyes at her best friend. "Hey! When we don't get lost in this city... you'll thank me," she said, sticking her tongue out as she patted the map that was safe and snug in her bag. Livvy had lived in large cities long enough to understand that maps were your friend. Plus... she aced her geography tests. So HA!
Livvy stared at her best friend, as she practically screamed at the top of her lungs. She glanced around at the people that were giving them odd looks. Their faces said 'Pfft... newbies'. And well... too bad! Livvy had her fair share of plane flights, but she didn't know what about this one was just so exciting!
She whooped as she could feel the plane descend even lower and lower. Despite all the annoyed looks she was receiving. Livvy didn't want to wait any longer. She wanted to be on the ground. NOW. She wanted to be in LA. NOW. "Cooommee oon.." Livvy muttered, holding onto the arm rests tightly.
....
Livvy stared at Rachel. Oh... how humorous. "Oh yes... what a bummer. How hilarious," she said, sarcastically, as she rolled her eyes and glanced at the back of the chair in front of her. Pleasedunletmedie... Pleasedunletmedie....
Rachel snorted. A map? WHY would they need a map? They had Reid - he knew his way round the city much better and plus, he was a lot more fun to look at than a wad of paper with squiggly lines on in. "We won't get lost, but not because of the map, Livs," the sixteen year old replied and grinned at Livvy, patting the girl gently on the head as one would pat a small child.
"Right?" she replied, nodding as Lobster agreed with her that it would indeed be a bummer, not even realising the effect her words might have on her friend. She was MUCH too preoccupied that she could see the runway rushing underneath them. . .
Her eyes widened as she caught a glimpse of the welcome building. Reid would be there, waiting for her since they had timed it so that the scenes being filmed right now were not his own. It was going to be PERFECT! She squealed again as the realisation of what this summer was going to be hit her yet again and she took up bouncing again, turning to Livvy with an idiotic smile on her face.
3... 2... 1...
"EEEEEEEEEEE! WE'RE IN LA!!" Rachel let out, ignoring the angry mumbled objections people were shooting at her, and grabbed Livvy's hand yet again, squishing it without mercy. "We've LANDED! IN AMERICA - LOS ANGELES! How COOOOOOOOOOL is this?!"
The stewardess was getting more and more purple with each passing second, Rachel noted.
Rachel wasn't making any sense. What did she mean they wouldn't get lost, not because of a map? Did she mean that they WERE gonna get lost, but not because of a map? OHMEGEE! THEY WERE GONNA DIE IN LOS ANGELES! Livvy was going to need to prepare her will and make sure someone wrote a good eulogy. Hmm... who writes good. Cela did? Maybe she would have to OWL the girl asking her to write a eulogy.
AH! And her funeral? What about her funeral? Livvy needed a good coffin.
She had completely zoned out and tore herself away from Rachel and the plane. All she was thinking about at that moment were her funeral plans. Needed to be prepare right? It would do no one any good if they died because of getting lost in LA and there was no funeral. GASP! No funeral?!
Rachel's excited squeals was what brought Livvy back to Earth and she turned to look at Rachel with a panicked look. WAIT? WHAT? She wasn't listening to what Rachel was saying as the girl jumped up and down and grabbed Livvy's hand, squishing it was a lot of force. The words that Rachel said were replaced roughly with these, "EEEEEEE!!! We're gonna diiiieee!!! We DIED! IN AMERICA - LOS ANGELES! We're FINALLY DEEEAADDD!!!"
Not able to take it any longer, Livvy spazzed, screaming and flailing her arms. "SAVE ME!!! I'm dying! I'm dying! SAVE ME!!! I'm DEEAAAADDD!!!!"
Ok, so Rachel might not be the most sane person in the world - especially not for the past few hours - but as she looked over at her flailing friend, the sixteen year old suddenly realised that Livvy was a complete nutcase. Well, she did nickname her Lobster...
"Er, Livs? What are you on about?" she asked, fighting not to giggle as she forced Livster Lobster's arms back down since they were dangerously close to knocking out her own someone's eyes. "As far as I can tell, we're very much alive and well, and if you take a peek out that window..." Rachel nodded eagerly and without waiting for Livvy to look herself, she grabbed her friend's face and turned it so that she was indeed looking out the window.
"... You can see that we're on solid ground, and in LOS ANGELES!" she finished up, her voice ending in a high-pitched squeal as another shiver of anticipation and excitement ran through her. Although, on second thought, if Rachel was going to have to check Lobster into an American version of St. Mungo's, the summer would not be as much fun.
DEATH! WHYYYY in LA?!?! Why couldn't she die in some other place... like Rome or something? Livvy wanted to see Rome before she died, at least one! But nooooo she has to die in stinky LA cuz' of Reid. GAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
"Hmm?" she asked, glancing over at Rachel. Waiiit... they weren't dead. She touched her face and pinched it. Owwiee... GAAASSSPPP. Rachel was a big fat LIAR! LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIIIIRRREE!!! Buuuuut.... Livvy decided to let it go. That's when Rachel grabbed Livvy's face and pointed it at the window. "Ooh. LA! We're in LA?!?! WHOOOOOOOO!!!!" she shouted cheerfully. "And we're not dead! WHOOOO!!!" What a happy day.
"DUUUUDDDEE! Can we like get off this plane? I hate planes," Livvy whined, complaining as she yanked on Rachel's arm repeatedly. Leave. Leave. LEAAAVVEEE.
Rachel snorted and nodded. "'Course we're not - this summer is going to FANTABULOUS and as dead people, it won't be so much fun," she explained to Livvy with a slight giggle, mentally begging the plane to stop already so that they could finally get off, collect the abnormal amount of luggage and head out to see REID! WEEEEEEEEEEE!
"Hate planes? Really? I didn't know..." Rachel blinked, turning to her best friend with a confounded expression on her face. "Buuuuut I do agree with you - this great big piece of metal needs to stop moving soon or else they'll have clean out the mess after my explosion," the sixteen year old grumbled as she narrowed her eyes at a male steward that had apparently taken over Evil Stewardess Lady as to allow her to use the (DISGUSTING) toilets.
Rachel's attention was averted from the cute steward as she realised that her arm was being torn away from her shoulder by her CRAZEH best friend. "The arm is supposed to be attached to the rest of the body you know!" she commented dryly, and the shrieked in delight as the plane - FINALLY - shuddered to a stop. Can you spot the Gilmore Girls quote? =] "LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" With quick, clumsy movements, Rachel had somehow released herself from the seat belt, jumped up from her chair, banged her head against the stupid low ceiling and retrieved her bag in less than a minute. "Come on - I thought you hated planes!"
Snooooort. Of COUUURRSSEE it wouldn't be fun if you were dead. No one likes being dead. It's highly un-enjoyable and unappealing and Livvy couldn't imagine who would want to spend their vacation as a dead person. She would have to be a zombie and terrorize LA if she wanted to have fun. But that wasn't good either because there were movies where the "good guys" shoot the zombies for terrorizing the city... so maybe no zombie time, eh?
"Well... actually... I love planes... I just hate planes today," Livvy said, as if it really made sense. It changed with the mood and the day. She couldn't help it. It was like some disease or deformity of her brain that caused her interests and likes to vary by the day.
GASP! "RACHEL?! You're gonna go KA-BOOM?!" She didn't want Rachel to die!!! She was so young... and innocent. Well... almost innocent. Close enough. But Rachel couldn't EXPLODE!!! Plus then Livvy would have to pick up the pieces and that wouldn't be a pretty picture.
"Well... sooorrr-ryyyy... That concept didn't seem to come to your mind earlier," she said, sticking her tongue out playfully as she released her grip on Rachel's arm. Livvy sat there for a moment, not quite aware that the plane had actually FINALLY stopped moving and that everyone else that was on the plane had retrieved their bags and were heading out.
"Wait-what?! TIME TO LEAAVVVEEE!!!?" YUSH! Livvy quickly grabbed her bags from beneath her chair, since she didn't like that thingymajig up above, and slung it over her shoulders. "Let's MOVE!" she said, grabbing Rachel's hand and leading her towards the front of the plane.
"Yes, yes, time to GO!" Rachel nodded enthusiastically, planning on grabbing Livvy's hand when she felt her own being squeezed and pulled. Before she had time to object, the two girls were moving towards the front of the plane and Rachel couldn't help but laugh gleefully as she realised that they had reached the front of the plane first - even before the snobby first class people.
"True true - I was just too excited to think about it at the time," she replied belatedly with a shrug to Livvy as they waited for the AGONISINGLY slow steward (the evil one was still in the toilet) to open the complicated looking door. "And yeah, I WILL go kaboom if this guy won't open this door soon," she whispered as an afterthought as she observed the dude flip open nobs, switches and whatnot.
They were here. FINALLY HERE. The thought hit her once again and without warning she began jumping up and down again, her bag bouncing comically on her back as she flailed about. "We're here, we're here, we're here..." she commented with enthusiasm, over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Livvy's heart couldn't help but beat faster and faster as she waited for the door to open and alas. The outside world. The woooorrldd of WONDERMENT!!! AIR! LAND! Fiiiiiiiiiinnnnally. Livvy grinned as she gripped the straps of her backpack tightly and put her hand on the rail as she walked on the platform that led to the building. The sun was hot but felt so nice on her skin.
"Raccchel! We're here!!! EEEP!" she exclaimed with excitement as she continued on through the tunnel. She had gone in airports many times but she still couldn't help but feel the normal rush of adrenaline and excitement at the things she saw and the fact that they were there.
Livvy then headed towards the door of the gate, where supposedly, Reid would be waiting for them. Oh geesh.
Reid jumped out of the Limousine as soon as his chauffer opened the door for him. Nodding in thanks at the man he reached back in to grab the bouquet of flowers he'd bought for Rachel just ten minutes before. He began to calmly walk to the doors of the airport when his cell rang. Looking down he noticed it was from his mother so decided not to answer, she could wait. Fortunately it also drew his attention to the actual time. The plane would have already landed.
Breaking out into a run Reid was thankful for all the physical training he had to do for his roles. He avoided airport security by flashing the woman a smile, luckily she seemed to recognise who he was and let him through. Barging through people he got to the gate in record time.
Calming his breathing Reid ran a hand through his already tousled hair and wiped his face with a handkerchief. Sweat was so not attractive. Luckily he didn't smell of it, instead he smelled of whatever cologne he'd sprayed this morning. Positioning the bouquet behind his back he stood patiently, waiting for the first glimpse of Rachel.
Breathlessly, with much bouncing and squealing, Rachel followed Livvy out of the plane, towards the platform and the gate. She was ecstatic to see that her's and Lobster's luggage was already on the conveyor belt and without further ado, grabbed them both. She was so excited, she didn't even notice the fact that each of the trunks weighed WAY too much.
"So close, so close," she let out as she walked towards the gate, pulling her luggage behind her and scanned the area for the ever-so-familiar flop of beautiful blonde hair. Where is he? Where is-
"REEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed as she spotted him. Abandoning her bags by Livvy, she shot forward to him not knocking people out of the way of course and, knocking the currently unimportant flowers out of his hands, jumped onto him and squeezed as tightly as she could.
