The cool breeze that passed by the cottage, a smile appearing on the elderly woman's face.
It was winter break at both of her granddaughters boarding schools, it had been awhile since she had last seen them.
A small stray gray hair blew into her face, red knitted sweater wrapped around her body.
A snowflake dropped in front of the dusty window, it meant only one thing:
Winter was here.
A slam of the door announced the presence of someone and she turned, "Gram!" She cried happily as Alexandria dashed for her grandmother.
"Alexa, How much you've grown, Come, I have hot cocoa brewing and I'll put some cookies."
Alexandria was freezing and as she sat down snow fell down her shivering shoulders.
"Tell me how was your term so far?"
Alexandria frowned a bit, "Good, I suppose."
Her words trailing off, A bad memory in her head.

Scorpius apparated, along side Ryder. Myles on Scorpius' arm. He looked at the boys, "Ryder I will meet you both here send an owl when you want to leave." he apparated before the boys could say goodbye. Ryder looked at Myles, "Okay here is the deal, don't touch anything and keep your wand away. No one legged animals or teeth on things that are not supposed to have teeth!" Ryder stared at Myles with a serious look.

Myles smiled, a mischevious smile. "I would never do such a thing Ryder." he said. Ryder wished Robert had decided to come but he had to pick up a few things in Diagon Alley so he had gone with their father. Ryder would rather Robert there then Myles. Myles was rude and too much to handle. The snow covered Ryders hair you could see it clearly, Myles hair was so blond that the snow just blended in. His blue eyes shimmering in the cold, slightly filled with water from the wind. They walked up on the porch and over to the door.

Ryder knocked on the door, he still had not decided what he could say to Alexandria. She had avoided him most of the term. Just as he knocked he heard a huge snap and turned around. Myles had hit a tree branch into the bricks infront of the small cottage. The branch was cracked. Ryder looked at him and Myles quickly dropped the branch and smiled. Ryder turned back towards the door.

He heard another loud crack, and turned around to yell at Myles. "I said.." he realized the snap this time was from Robert. He had apparated and was standing in front of the cottage. Ryder smiled seeing Robert. Robert walked over to where Ryder was standing. "I figured you would need more than one person to control the beast." he said looking to Myles who was kicking over the stones in the front. "Thanks." Ryder said, looking back to the door.

There was a knock at the door and Gretta stood to answer it, Her back cracked from old age.
''Coming."
She opened the door to find three boys, Two of them looked identical,
"More people, Let me bake some muffins too."
Happily she turned into the kitchen,
"Alexandria's in the den if you wish to talk to her."
At the words of her grandmother she cringed,
She hated old people and only old people came to her house.

Penelope stepped down the wooden steps leading downstairs and paused when she saw who was at the door, She'd been on leave to retrieve her cousin from France, That same one that was upstairs hiding, "Robert." She smiled and ran up to him, Wrapping her arms around and kissing his cheek.

Alexandria rolled her eyes and leaned back on the couch, Stupid Penelope and her Malfoy boyfriend..

Robert looked at the old woman as she greeted them happily. "Thank you Ma'am, what a lovely home you have." he said walking into the house, Ryder closed the door behind them. "Muffins you said Granny?" Myles said following after her. "Can you make mine Banana, but no nuts in it or I'll spit them out." he followed her talking about muffins along the way.

Robert was about to chase him down when he noticed Penelope, what was she doing home from the Ministry? Not that he was objecting he was glad to see her, he wrapped his arms around her waist as she hugged him. He smiled. "Wow... you look stunning." he said taking a step back. "How is the ministry?" he said taking her hands in his.

Ryder shook his head, He cleared his throat and looked at Penelope. "Um I hate to interrupt but by chance is Alexandria here?" he said pushing the hair out of his eyes to seem a little more proper. "I mean if she will see me of course." he said looking to the door.

A smile appeared on Penelope's face, Even though Alexandria told her that she never wanted to hear from Ryder ever again, This would bet he perfect opportunity to get payback.
"She's in the den, When you see the depressed breathing thing, You've found her."

She turned to Robert and frowned, "I had to take a leave of absence, Somethings came up, And until they are stable I am unable to return.."
Looking up the staircase and back she frowned.

Ryder looked at Penelope, "Um thank you." he said walking past her. He had no idea where the den was but he decided to wander around until he found it. He walked down a little and saw a girl on the couch it was definitely Alexandria. He knocked on the door before walking in the room. He sat down next to her. "I know you probably hate me right now." he said looking at her then putting his head down and looking at the ground.

Robert followed Penelope's eyes to the stairs, "Is there anything that I can assist you with?" he said looking back at her. "I mean if there is anything, anything at all. I would gladly help you, I am sure you want to get back to the Ministry as soon as possible." He put his hands in his pockets.

He took a step towards her and dropped his voice to a whisper. "I didn't ever officially um... ask you... But I mean... You can tell me no if your not interested... I mean you can be honest if the age thing bothers you... But I would love for you to be my girlfriend." he said still whispering. If she was going to turn him down he didnt want everyone to hear him get rejected.

Alexandria clapped mockingly, "Now tell him what he's one Frank." She resumed her position of laying flat on her back, A small grumble escaped her mouth,

Then she sat up, "I have every right to hate, You used me!" She yelled, "You made me think that you loved me, But no, You just strung me along like the jerk you are!" She got up and glared at him, Anger would hide the pain and tears, "I loved you Ryder and all you did was play me while you waited out the days til you could be with your precious Rosalie."
She took a breath as the tears began to pour, "I waited and waited but to no avail, Because look at us both, You have the world resting on your hands, And I? I have absolutely nothing."

She brushed away the tears, "I'm done with you, And you know what? At the end of term I'll never have to see you again, I'm leaving England and going to live in an apartment in France, Somewhere far far away from you and everybody. It'll be just me and the twins."

Penelope smiled at Robert, "Of course I'll be your girlfriend, There would be no other answer to that." She heard the shouting from the den, "Let's go upstairs."

With that she grabbed his hand and led him up the shaky staircase, Down the hallway on their right and unlocked the door with her wand, "Samantha, I'm back."

The blonde girl stayed under her cousin's bed, "I can't take this any longer, "How am I going to keep this a secret?" She said pointing to her larger than normal belly, She bit her lip when she saw Robert, "Um, I mean how am I going to lose this weight?"

Penelope smiled lightly, "This would be my leave of absence." She said gesturing to the girl.

Ryder looked up at Alexandria, he noticed her sarcasm. "Alexa... I was not trying to string you along or anything like that." he said honestly. His chest hurt right now he couldnt watch her cry without his insides breaking. He put his arms around her. "You do have every right to hate me. But I was never trying to hurt you."

He listened as she broke down. "And you don't have nothing if you did I would not have come to see you right now would I?" This was true he had come here on his own free will, what was he doing here? His heart pounded

"And I don't ever want you to leave." He looked at her when he heard twins and was caught off guard. She was pregnant? She didnt look pregnant.

"Twins?" he said hesitantly. "What do you mean?" he was confused and nervous. "I um... I didn't know you were..." he stopped he couldnt even say it.

Robert was a little nervous when it came to yelling so he was glad when Penelope wanted to get away from there. He watched her unlock her door and followed her into the room. He saw the younger girl laying down, Pregnant?! He choked a little bit. "Um... Well then I can see why you needed a leave of abscence." He walked over to the bed and looked at the younger girl.

"How are you feeling?" he said, she was young and she looked scared. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a few candies in multi-colored wrappers. "If your stomach ever gets upset... Try one of these." he said looking at her and smiling. "They are really helpful with when your nauseated." he said looking from Samantha to Penelope.

"Um you know I could help you if you need any help while I am on break." he said looking back to Samantha. The poor girl looked terrified.

"I'm not!"
Alexandria looked appalled.
"It's all your dumb brother's fault that Samantha is suffering through this,"
She put a finger to her lips, "No one can know this though, We have this all set up, Penelope can't handle children and also paying for this house, So I have to do it.. So Samantha can live a normal life."

She shrugged, "You'll be fine, You'll live with Rosalie and have kids of your own and you'll forget all about me."

"You did come here, I didn't force you.. So why did you come?"

Samantha cried, "Where's my Myles? I want my Myles!" She said through sobs, While Penelope rubbed her back, "She'll deliver probably during the summer, The doctor told us there would be two."

She stood and hugged Ryder, "I can't have you here while I drag you down, Look a gran, She's old enough, I can't do the same to you."

Gretta picked up the boy that was busy eating her muffins and whacked him with her spoon, "Get out you filthy little piggy, You are selfish and disgusting, Out!" With that she tossed him out of her kitchen and resumed baking, Her back cracked again, "Oh my." She said with a hand pressed to her back.

Myles looked at Gretta with a disgusted look, she hit him with the spoon and he looked at her crazy, he had never been hit by anyone before. "Excuse me Grandma but did you just hit me with that spoon?" He pulled out his wand and stuck it to her cheek. He was very skinny but had gotten rather tall while away at school.

He was tall for a boy his age, he was taking after Ryder and Robert with height but not with his build. He needed to eat something. "I know spells that would turn your insides out Grandma." he said his eyes shining and turning red. He looked like he could be a demon. His pale skin getting hotter.

He took his wand down. "Now I suggest you feed me when I want... I could turn your house upside down within seconds. Remember I have your grand daughter Samantha wrapped around my finger." He grabbed a bottle of milk off the table. He spit on the ground, "Needs more sugar anyway." he said throwing the rest of the muffin on the floor.

He allowed her to shoo him out of the kitchen, he needed something better to do anyway.

Robert looked to Penelope, "You know Myles is here." he said looking to Samantha. He wanted to see you. Myles had not wanted to see her really, well he had but he also wanted a lot of things.

Robert looked at Penelope, "Two... wow" he looked at the girl, she was in for a real treat delivering more than one child. He put his arm around Penelope. "I would really do anything to help, I mean I could not go back to school. I'm not underrage anymore." he said in fact he would be eighteen soon. "I want to be there for you." he had never put school second before but for the first time he found someone worth putting first.

Ryder looked at her scared, "No I wasn't saying..." he looked down then at her. "You don't look pregnant so I was not sure what you meant." He tried so hard to correct himself. He didnt want to hurt her more than he already had, that was not what he meant at all. He looked confused again. "Samantha?"

He shook his head in disbelief. "The littler one?" he pushed his hair back, "I had no idea. You think Myles did this? Myles can't even cut his own steak." he said standing up. He paced back and forth for a minute.

"Whatever happened to dealing with your own mistakes? Why do you have to ruin your life. Your a brilliant witch." he said looking at her. "You can't raise two children all on your own." He looked out the window, the snow was coming down harder.

His mind trailed off barely hearing anything about him and Rosalie. Her name he heard over and over, whether it was in his head or just in passing, but he had not seen her. He heard from her once. She probably was busy getting her life set. She would never marry him and settle down. And how would he? He wanted to play pro Quidditch.

He pushed all these thoughts from his mind and looked back at her. "I came here to apologize. I never meant to make you feel like I was pushing you away from me. That's not it at all." He was so confused. He didn't want to her Alexandria, she meant a lot to him. He always wanted to play pro Quidditch for England's team but France did have a team. He could help Alexandria if she wanted his help.

But how do you ask someone something like that? "France has a good quidditch team." He said trying to bring the conversation in Gradually.

Myles was walking along merrily drinking his milk when Samantha flew down the stairs like a maniac, when she stopped in front of him with her happiness and pointing at her stomach for good news. Myles looked at her like she was bizarre. Myles took another sip of milk and wiped his mouth on his sleeve.

"Good news? What that you are hungry?" he looked confused. He looked her up and down, "Wait have you gained some weight? I mean you look a little bigger since what I remember." he said continuing his milk but not putting the two together. "If you want we can run together this break. I want to work out a little myself." he said nodding his head and then looking at his arms like he had huge muscles.

Robert looked at Penelope, "Well we won't let her get hurt then." he said leaning behind her and pulling her hair behind her neck and kissing her gently. He whispered into her ear.

"I would give up the world for you." And he meant that. He was in love for the first time in his life. "It wouldn't be wasting my life to be there for you. All I want from life is to be there for you."

He walked over and picked up a pillow that had fallen in Samantha's get away and put it in its place on the bed that Penelope had just made.

Ryder put his arms around Alexandria to comfort her, he patted her back. "Don't cry Alexa, it is okay" he said leaning his head on hers. When she said she would stay in London on one condition he pulled away to face her, happy that she might stay.

Marry Me. The words rung in his ears. He wanted her to stay but he could not marry her, not now. He looked at her, he didn't know how to put things to make her give it time. "Alexa... You and I will talk about this and think things through and do this right."

He looked out the window and then at her. "We will take care of those babies then... And we will give them everything. You and Me." He was nervous he had no idea what to do with babies.

"Let's just take it slow... and work through it as it comes along. We can do this."

Ryder looked at Alexandria watching the tear slide down her face. He put both his hands on her face wiping her tears with his thumbs. "Don't cry Alexa." he said pulling her close to him and giving her a hug. He kept both his arms wrapped around her moving one of them to the back of her head and pet her hair.

"Lets not worry about that right now. Let's go get you something to drink." he said pulling her towards the door his arms still around her.

Ryder smiled at Penelope. "I don't care if your a full blood muggle. That doesn't bother me." he said looking into her eyes and taking her hands in his.

"You make me happier than I've ever been in my life." he said getting down on one knee. He reached into the pocket of his jeans, "I was going to wait to do this, but this seems like the perfect time to me." "Penelope James... will you marry me." He pulled open the small box and inside was a golden band with a diamond on it in the shape of a heart with two smaller diamonds on either side. The diamond had something in it that made it swirl with pinks, purples, and reds.

"I would love to spend forever with you. If you would let me." he said looking at her, waiting for her to respond.

Myles looked at Samantha, his face still straight. "Thrilled." he said not putting his arms around her as she kissed him. He did not kiss her back. "Twins." he said nervously, but then cleared his throat he never showed weakness. "That is fine. I think we should call them Myles and Mylesina." he said nodding his head.

"Where are we keeping them? Can we perform spells on them so they don't cry and stuff?" he said looking at her confused.

"We shouldn't let either of your sisters near them, they will corrupt them with their muggle ways." Myles said.

Myles laughed when Alexandria got into his face but before he could even draw his own wand he saw Samantha jump on her own sisters back to stand up for him. He was impressed but he would never let the emotions show on his face, that was not like him to show emotions. His mother always told him that a Malfoy would never show their true emotions.

When Samantha stepped in front of him in attack form he grinned, but then stepped in front of her looking at Alexandria. "Now now pet, that won't be necessary, she is not as smart as you are." he said referring to Alexandria who he shot a dirty glare at before looking back at Samantha. With that Ryder had walked into the room to see Alexandria's wand snapped in two on the floor and Myles standing in front of Samantha who looked like she wanted to hurt someone.

"Myles!" Ryder yelled pulling him by the arm. "This is not your house, you don't have mom and dad here to bail you out everytime you get in a fight to big for you to handle." he put his hand on the side of his jeans gripping his wand. Myles pulled out his wand, "Oh please, I will blow the lot of you away." he said pointing the wand at Ryder.

As Myles wand pointed in his direction he pulled his own wand out by pure reflex, "Expelliarmus." he said, Myles wand flew to the ground in the corner. "Mother will be hearing about this." he said his eyes following the wand to make sure it was ok, he crossed his arms. "Just stop with the nonsense for now." Ryder said picking up Myles wand and putting it in the side of his jeans. "You can have this back when we leave. Alexa don't listen to him, let's have a drink or something." he said trying to cool her down.

He put his arm on her shoulder and pulled her lightly towards where he knew her kitchen was. Myles eyes followed him, anger filling in them, his eyes fixed on his wand in the side of Ryder's jeans. When they were out of sight he looked to Samantha. "No need to worry about your sister there, she can never amount to the witch you will become." he said looking Samantha up and down to make sure she was alright.

"Penelope is not your sister? Good, because I heard rumors she is muggle. Well a half blood, and if this is the case then she is completely muggle to me." He looked to Samantha waiting for her to confirm his beliefs. "Muggles are horrible creatures, that should never touch our babies, you know they will try and steal their magic." he said knowing she would believe anything he said.

Robert smiled at Penelope taking her hand in his, "It's magic." he said looking down at the ring. "That is the memory of the first time I met you, you took my breath away and I simply knew you were the most beautiful woman I would ever lay eyes on." he said looking at the swirling memory in the ring. He placed it in there for her to see how he had felt the first time he met her.

"I knew the moment I saw you I wanted to spend my life with you." This was true, when he first saw her she had taken his breath away, no one had ever had that effect on him. "I love you Penelope James."
