Le Masion Du Studmuffin Et Amis- The House of the Studmuffin and Friends.

Welcome to Josh Moonson's flat. This is where Josh Moonson, aka StudMuffin, will be living during the break from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is also Rooming with Aryanna Venefica and Diabolica Alimentazione.

Located on a small street in a decent wizarding neighborhood, the 2-story townhome is relatively spacious, with four bedrooms of equal size upstairs, each with its own bath.

Downstairs:


The main living area has deep, comfortable suede couches and a large fireplace. It is tastefully decorated in a somewhat contemporary style in dark jewel tones, with the prominent shades of crimson, blacks, and silver. In spite of being in the wizarding world, it has some muggle luxuries including a huge flat panel television hanging on one wall, and an assortment of video gaming consoles. In one corner stands a collection of guitars and a violin case, and the walls have framed charcoal sketches-- mostly landscapes and sketches of magical creatures -- done by one of the housemates, Diabolica.

The shelves of the bookshelves are crammed full of ancient leather tomes and are decorated with a bizarre arrangement of magical artifacts and relics from the collection of the other house mate, Aryanna (Xana). The entire house is populated with many unusual plants of varying sizes, many of them surrounded by what looks like bubbles -- magical habitats to control humidity and growing conditions. The kitchen has black granite counters and along one back counter is a small laboratory area, with several cauldrons and test tubes and vials set up, a small store of ingredients and many, many jars and bottles filled with various ingredients and potions. There is a clipboard on the wall and one or more of the cauldrons is always constantly simmering with ...something. There is a dining table with six parsons chairs, all upholstered in different velvet jewel tone fabrics.

Upstairs:

The stairs lead up to a landing area with a small library area with another set of couches and a second fireplace. The hall leading away from the landing area splits into four bedrooms, each with its own bath.

To the right, the first room is Josh's:
Josh's room was a mixture of everything. His walls were the color of dark/blood red and the ceiling was black. near the far right corner was a winding staircase that lead to the roof. This was where he escaped to look at the stars or to just get some time away. Next to the staircase was the door to his bathroom which was just a regular shower and tub. His bed laid on floor next to his desk. The desk had many writing, a muggle stereo, and also a computer. This was where he did a lot of his music recording. On the opposite wall their was a closet and next to it two bookshelves. The book shelves slid out of their places to reveal even more bookshelves. He liked to hide the fact that he likes to read.On the last wall was a television with a very big collection of video games and muggle movies. Hanging on the wall was a fender guitar given to him for Christmas.

The second room on the right is Xana's:
The decor of Xana's quarters is heavily influenced by Indian and Eastern styles. The prominent colors include black and teal, with other jewel tone accents. Is the room of a hedonist -- Everything in her room looks richly textured with sensual pleasures in mind... Velvets and silks are the predominant fabrics. The furniture is mahogany, with a small chaise in one corner and a queen sized four poster bed with black gauze draperies framing the bed, which is covered by a heavy jacquard comforter and has a mass of pillows. Though the room is immaculate, the bookshelves are overstuffed with ancient books, most leather bound, and there are strange tribal relics on every shelf, but artfully arranged. There is a large desk in the corner with a quill set; this is the one cluttered area of the room, for there are always several books opened to different spots on the desk as well as papers and notes in neat piles, and a black journal in the workspace. The lighting in the room comes from a wrought-iron ceiling chandelier with candles magicked to never spill the wax onto the floor below. An archway hung with a beaded curtain separates the bath area from the bedroom. It includes a huge sunken jacuzzi tub and is decorated with Tuscan influences.

The first door to the left is a guest bedroom:

Decorated comfortably in the same dark jewel tones, it has been magicked to be a 'safe room', a sanctuary in case of emergency, and a password is needed to enter.

The second door to the left is Diabolica's bedroom.- The first thing you notice about Diabolica's room is that the ceiling is enchanted to look like the night sky. As you look around, the room, unlike the rest of the house, takes on a sort of darkness and gloom--everything seems not unlike Sweeney Todd's barber shop. Wood paneling surrounds the lower part of the room, and slightly peeling wallpaper--dark green, though it usually appears black--covers the rest. The bed, covered in a black velvet comforter, resides in a dark corner where it is not a prominent feature of her room. A large, venomous snake is coiled by the bed--Diabolica's pet snake, Viper. On the side opposite the window (magicked to look slanted inward), a huge bookshelf covers the wall. Thick, leather bounded books and dark objects fill the shelves, while a ladder and lantern rest besides it. By the window, there is a desk with two candles on either side of the wall lighting it, despite the privilage of electricity in the house. A ebony black raven resides on a perch next to it. On the desk, a sketchpad, a journal, some willow charcoal and a long raven's feather quill (not taken from her raven, though) sit, along with a few books from the shelves, and a creature's skull of some type. A few newspaper clippings and sketches of magical creatures are taped around the desk.'There are marks and burns on the floor of the room in one corner that form symbols that look suspiciously like they are from forbidden rituals and practises."

Josh heard the door as he then came down stairs in muggles clothing. He opened the door to see Jai." Hey there." he said with a smile.' what brings you here?" he teased as he let her pass. He closed the door behind her as he then asked," How is having candy back going?"

Thanks." he said as he then smiled.' He's that bad already?" he said as he then seeing her bag. " ha! summer just started and your already have promblems. Im sorry." he said to her as he then said." if you wanted to stay the night you could sleep in my room." he offered.

Diabolica's head snapped up. She heard someone--though her door was closed. She put down the book and picked up her lantern. Walking out, she blinked from the sudden brightness. She sauntered over to where the sound was coming from. "Hello...?" she called. She hadn't heard anyone but Josh come into the house...she was sure he wasn't talking to the walls.

Josh looked to see Dia coming out for her pit of darkness aka her bedroom. " Hey Dia." he said to her with a smile." I just got back." he informed her as he then introduced the two. He didnt know if they had meet, but he was sure it was unlikely." Dia this is Jai, Jai this is one of my room mates Dia." he said smiling at the two. " Are you alright? you look..." he said looking at Dia.

Xana came into the flat, arms overladen with three large paper sacks, overwhleming her. She brought them in and quickly set them onto the granite countertop just as one started to split. She looked over at Dia, Josh and Jaimine. Eesh. Isn't that Santa Baby? she thought. She started putting the contents of her bags into a cupboard and the refrigerator - though none of the items exactly looked edible, strictly speaking.

"Hello..." she said to the group as she worked, quick and efficient in completing her chore. She paused over at her laboratory counter to check on something steaming simmering a cauldron and made a note on the clipboard, hanging it back on the wall and continuing to put her purchases away.

Diabolica nodded solemnly at Jai. "I do believe we have met before on one short occasion." she turned to Josh. "Look....what?"

Hey xana." he said to her with a smile. He looked over at Dia as she questioned him. " What? Eh well... your just a bit.. pale from the darkness. Since you rarely come out from that cave of yours." he had a small grin on his face.

Xana finished her chore, muttered "Reparo" to fix the torn grocery sack, and then used her wand to fold and put away the sacks.

She spoke to her roommates from across the room. "Fair warning- the things in the pantry and refrigerator stored on the left are not food. Some of it looks like potential food. But you'll regret it if you decide to become...epicurious." She grinned. "It's all potions ingredients... the motto around here is 'choose right-- or live to regret it.'" She paused. "Hopefully live." She grinned to herself as she made notes on her clipboard.

Diabolica smiled. "Oh, you know it's not that dark in there. And it's not a cave. Have you even come into my room yet?" she raised an eyebrow. "I don't think you have. Feel free to." she swung her lantern around and awaited a response.

"Ok. Good to know!" she called back, grinning. "One should always know what is stored in their pantry. You could play some nasty practical jokes with some of those ingrediants, mate." she smiled evilly.

Um.. about that.. " he said then adding," Their wouldnt be a good reason for me to be in their in the first place." he said as he couldnt think of a reason why he would want to be in her bedroom. " it is good to know... I think Xana is still trying to kill me." he said refuring to the hot cocoa that she pretended to poision him with." can you two excuse me for a second." he said as he smiled at the two. He made his way over to xana."Hey." He said to her as he leaned against the part of the counter that she wasnt using." I wanted to apologized for last night.. i didnt mean to upset you with the whole auror thing." he said ," or really at all."

Diabolica raised an eyebrow. "I see no reason not to visit your own friend's--no less, housemate's--bedroom just at least for a quick 'hello' or 'how are you'. If I had 'barely come out', you could have cared to check on me...?" she growled. She gave a quick nod to Jai and strutted back into her room, her lantern swinging and casting an eerie light over the hallway.

"I haven't killed a frog... yet... Moonson..." she smirked as she worked. "Yet."

"Irie, irie." She smiled, still engrossed in stirring and adjusting things on her cauldrons. She was in an obvious good mood. "No worries. I was in a lousy mood. I don't deal well with not-knowing my course of action."
