The Story

Rumor has it, that the old run down house just outside town- it's haunted. Children and teenagers alike tell the story of the story. One morning- years ago- a family friend walked into the house to check up on the family of ten who hadn't been heard from for a while. The story says that the entire family, even the pet dog was found dead. Another story tells of how the family was missing, and another says of how all but one of them was missing.

The story was never confirmed by anyone from authority, but it had been told from person to person who lived in neighboring towns and cities. Children are told not to go near the gates- teenagers joke about staying their for the night.

Yet what happens when a group of friend, on vacation from Hogwarts decide to prove everyone they can survive a night in the Ol' Aston House.

The Plot

So Jillian Collins lives just a half an hour walk from this supposed haunted house. One night she told her friends at Hogwarts about the house- and how she was dared by children in the neighborhood to stay the night. The group of friends bring up the idea of how they could last a night in the house- knowing that ghosts are real and they wouldn't nor couldn't hurt them even if they wanted to.

So during summer break- the group all pack up sleeping bags, and have a sleep over at the old house.

What will happen O: Will the trip be uneventful, will they meet a friendly ghost- perhaps they will be locked up in the house forever and ever MUAHAHAHA

Personality: Shane is quite the immature guy. He loves playing pranks on others including the professors at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He’s quite well known throughout the school for his antics. Aside from being a jokester, Shane is also bluntly honest. He’s the sort of guy who doesn’t think before he speaks and so he’ll blurt out the first thing he’s thinking. If he thinks you’re ugly, he’ll tell you without any regard to the consequences. Don’t get him wrong, he would never intentionally hurt someone. He just doesn’t think that far ahead. Shane has no shame. He’ll do just about anything to entertain people. He loves being the class clown. He’ll take on any dare and won’t even ask for anything; just as long as someone is watching. He loves the attention. And in the end, Shane is your typical male.

Shane isn’t alone. His best friend and partner in crime is none other than the Mr. Bryan Matthew Kertousch. Though, Bryan is probably the lesser of the two evils, they are both still people you may want to stay clear of especially when they’re having bad days.

History: Shane has lived a fairly decent life. Both his parents work with the Ministry of Magic and are quite well off. He lives in a nice house on the outskirts of the Essex County in England in a very large house. Though his life may seem decent, he never thought it was the greatest.

Shane’s parents were both very busy with their jobs and so Shane was virtually raised by strangers. Different nannies and butlers would come in and out to watch the boy over his childhood years. This never bothered him, or so he thought. He always felt a sort of sense of neglect because of this. His parents never had time for him and this always made him feel inadequate.

It wasn’t until Shane started at school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that he found it time to rebel. Adopting what seemed to be an innate love for causing trouble (though, he showed signs of being a potential prankster while with his former caretakers), Shane quickly rose to the top as one of the most well-loved students by his fellow peers. His mother was horrified when she found out of her sons antics.

Many howlers have been sent over the years to try and embarrass and dissuade his troublemaking ways. Naturally, it never worked (Shane didn’t seem to have any sense of shame and was not to be embarrassed by such trivial matters).

Personality: Bryan is a lot like Shane only he’s a bit more mature. Bryan enjoys pranking and is Shane’s best friend and partner in crime. They are both well known around the school as the clowns and kings. Bryan is more reasonable. He tends to think things out more and is less rash and impulsive than Shane. He’s incredibly intelligent and knows things that not even the teachers know. It sometimes gets a bit unsettling, but Bryan has his mysterious ways. Aside from this, he’s sarcastic and cheeky but overall a very nice guy once you get to know him. He’s a lot less stubborn than Shane.

History: Bryan is a half-blood with a muggle mum. His father was a wizard but died at the hands of some old Death Eaters when Bryan, himself, was only two years old. His mother was then left on her own to fend for herself and her four kids. At the time of his father’s death, he had two older, muggle brothers and one younger, witch sister who had been a year old.

His mother soon remarried though and had two more kids with her new husband making the total count of kids six. They all lived happily until Bryan received a Hogwarts letters much to the surprise of the entire family. None of his older siblings had shown any sign of magical powers and thus, his mother assumed all her children had been like her and not like their father. She was then forced to tell her husband the truth about her late husband. He quickly asked for a divorce disgusted by his two stepchildren and the thought of his wife being married to such people.

His mother was now left once again alone but with six kids to take care of. Once Rosie, Bryan’s younger and only sister, left for Hogwarts, their mother found it easier to cope with. Things went smoothly for his family from there.

Meanwhile, while at Hogwarts, Bryan met a friend, he knew, he’d have for life—Shane. The boys immediately connected and would become the most popular pranksters in the school of their day.

Jennifer is a very mature girl & doesn't like fooling around or pranking with her friends. She isn't a chatter box, instead she likes to stay quite but that doesn't mean she is shy or not fun to be around. She's tough, intelligent and courageous. Jen is not afraid of anything, even ghosts can't scare her as she doesn't believe in their existence. However, she is looking really forward to their stay at the so-called haunted house & if there are any ghosts than she is ready to kick some butts.

Personality: Miles is your typical Ravenclaw. He's really smart, and always thinks about things, and he's never afraid to say what he thinks. Miles tends to be arrogant, because of course, he's thinks he's just so smart. He hardly ever thinks he's wrong, and it'll take a lot for him to admit it. Miles, although smart with most things, won't really listen to anything he doesn't want to hear. He doesn't care if someone doesn't like him, they just secretly do, anyway. Even though Miles is good at studying and reading, he prefers to be outside most of the time, usually playing sports. Miles really does have a friendly side, and isn't usually very mean, he just thinks he's really important. Miles is a trouble maker, and will often end up in detention, with his sister Camilla. But the only thing is, any time that he's told off, well, he just won't listen. If your telling him off, or telling him what to do, he really just doesn't care.

History: Miles grew up in Essex with his parents, and his brother and sister, Jesse and Camilla. His mother is a muggle and his father a wizard, so he grew up with just as much muggle things as magic things. Miles has been really close to his siblings, Camilla in particular as they really are very similar. Miles has always been adventurous, and he often gets in trouble for things. Miles' father is a Healer, and he has always had quite a bit of money, but not a huge amount. Still, even Miles, being as confident as he is, never really brags about it very much.

Personality: Camilla has a do-now-think-later kind of attitude. Most of the time she doesn’t even purposely cause trouble, she just doesn’t think of the consequences. She often does things that she wishes she didn’t, because she just does it, or says something without a second thought. But she’s not entirely clueless; she’s a rather observant of other people, and she doesn’t easily see the risks in situations. Cam doesn’t exactly cringe away from girly things, but she’s not very girly. She can be, sometimes, but she’d usually prefer playing sports to painting her nails. She is really competitive, and confident. She’d make a bet out of anything, and loves sports, because she’s really determined to win things. Cam can even be kind of arrogant at times, and can sometimes act more like a boy than a girl. She also loves drawing and reading and she always has a sketchpad or a book on her. Camilla easily gets in trouble, generally with things to do with her brother. Miles likes making trouble, and she just likes adventure and doesn't see the consequences, and she'll do nearly anything because of that without being worried. Personality: Hanz is the type of guy that is quiet most of the time. Very mature for his age, he likes being left alone because it frees his mind of all thoughts, where he can just lie down and stare into space. He's responsible and takes his studies seriously. He isn't one to go around telling people, or even his friends, what's going on in his mind or what he plans to do next. Unlike his sister, Hanz has a more serious attitude and keeps an expressionless face most of the time. He’s a kind guy, but doesn’t trust people easily. He and his sister have a very close relationship and he likes being with her most of the time even if she’s very outgoing and likes to change him to what she thinks is better. He is very helpful and considerate, and unlike most people he doesn’t ask for anything in exchange for his help.

Background: Hanz is the eldest and only boy in his family. Apart from his twin sister he has a younger sister which is seven years old. His native country is Germany which he has spent most of his childhood in, when he was nine his family moved to England because of his father's job. They visit Germany every summer to visit their friends and relatives.

Personality: Deedee is a very outgoing girl, and doesn't like to keep quiet. She likes taking risks and doing whatever comes across her mind. And is known that when she sets her mind to do something no one can stop her. She's not into studying much though she studies because her twin never stops nagging her. She spends most of her time fooling around and having fun. Unlike her brother she likes visiting new places and meeting new people, which is a trait she got from her mother. She doesn’t care much about what people think about her and doesn’t like to be bossed around. She is a tempered little monster, but most of her friends know better than annoy her. She can go to any means to get them back. She loves her brother so much, but hates it when he gets overprotective and when he tries to make her see sense because if no one’s got any power over her, her twin brother certainly has a kind of influence.

Background: She comes from a German family and she spent most of her childhood there. She loves spending summers in Germany and would love to move back there which she knows is not possible. She has a younger sister whose seven years old, she simply adores her.

History:

Growing up in your average, middle-class wizard family, Cathleen has always adored and loved magic. She had a healthy childhood and a relatively happy life, minus a few arguments with her younger sister, Bobby (nicknamed because her favorite pair of bobby socks she wore everyday when she was 4) over chocolate frogs and clothes.

It was well expected, and not at all a surprise, when Cat was invited to Hogwarts. It was there that she was sorted into Gryffindor (once again, no surprise) and successfully made it onto the Quidditch team as a Beater her 2rd year.

For her 13th birthday, her muggle-born grandmother sent her the book: Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles. No matter how unrealistic, her goal in life has been to be a detective ever since.


Personality:

Cat is brave to a fault. She charges head-first into situations and doesn’t think about the consequences. The almost-7th-year takes pride in every bruise, calling them her trophies, and will show just about any one her scar she got as a 1st year from falling off of a moving stair-case (I am assuming that some serious injuries can not be cured magically, seeing how Dumbledore has a scar on his knee).

She is curious as well and never bashful. The Gryffindor has no problem asking awkward questions and rarely blushes from embarrassment, if at all.

Almost always happy, she seems to have a cheeky grin plastered to her face at all time. Cat thinks anything is exciting, even taking out the trash.

Not necessarily quick-to-anger, Cathleen will get mad if prodded long enough. And when she is mad, she is mad, and takes a while to cool off.

Personality: Laurence is a very proud Slytherin. He definitely fits the typical stereotype of a Slytherin with the characteristices of being very driven, cunning and subtle. He is also very charming. He can be a bit of a manipulator to get things to go his was. He is very talented in almost all areas of magic and studies very hard when none of his other Slytherins are watching. He is very hard to get to know, but once you crack his manly exterior, you'll see he's an overall good guy.

History: Laurence was raised by his mother alone, and is one of 6 male children, him being the youngest. He never knew his father. All of them are out in the world, starting their lives and he feels a bit left behind and can't wait to get out of Hogwarts. Though he was born in France, his mom moved him to England so he could attend Hogwarts. He speaks French at home, and still has a slight accent. Being the youngest, he has been trained in all sorts of magical spells since he was very young and can adapt very well.

PERSONALITY
Coheed is a happy individual and is often seen as a class clown. She talks out of turn in her classes, makes jokes, pulls pranks. Along side of this clown she can also be very serious, and her bad side is no one you would want to get on. Her attitude by some is described as blunt and rude- but she believes in honesty.

HISTORY
Her parents are both travelers. There are many things that they have picked up from their travels around the world. For the first ten years of her life Coheed would go along with them, until she had to attend school. When she was 7 and they were going to go wand shopping they first looked at the collection of wands that the parent's had collected over the years.

The Ivory wand- which neither of her parents could use for some unexplained reason- was astounding for her. Since then she had had the wand.

Jack fixed the backpack on her back. It was a little bit of a weigh down- carrying her sleeping bag, a pillow, some snacks and sodas, and other random things she though she would bring along on this camp out. She smiled as her and her friends walked through the forest that seperated the town from the old run down house they were going to be spending the night.

"So everyone has everything right?" She asked after a few minutes. "I don't want us to head back."

"Of course," said Shane from right behind her. He carried his own small duffel bag which was slung over his shoulder. Bryan, his best mate, was close behind him. "We men don't need much to survive. Just lots of food. That's all I need to keep going."

Bryan chuckled. "Mind you, that huge bag Shane has got has nothing but food," he said. But Bryan wasn't worried. He had his own bag and had brought anything for Shane that he thought he might later need. He knew Shane wasn't to be bothered with packing anything. Not that Bryan thought it reasonable. He didn't think the house they were going to was going to be that bad. Haunted. Please.

"Well at least I know where to go if I run out of food." Jack smirked and turned around to look at the two boys. She stuck her tongue out at the both of them, and was turned around long enough to walk into a tree which knocked her on her feet.

She fell to the ground, and started to laugh at her own stupidity. She tired to get up from the ground, but found herself laughing to hard to be able to get up.

The two boys were in hysterics at the girl's clumsiness and how she had managed to turn around long enough to run into a tree. "That was classic," said Shane in between roars of laughter. "Excellent. Very graceful fall." He held his sigh and ended up dropping his bag from all the laughter.

Bryan, too, in hysterics was leaning against the very tree that had knocked Jack over to keep himself from collapsing to the ground. At least she knew how to laugh at herself, he thought vaguely. That was always a good thing to know how to do.

Isabella was happy to be between all of the guys while walking through the forest - the whole thing totally creeped her out. At Jack's question, she sighed. Unfortunately, and shivered, though it was a warm summer's night.

Jack slowly got up through fits of laughter. "Thanks for the help guys." she laughed out as she leaned against the tree that Bryan was also leaning against. She looked over at Isabella, still laughing.

"C-c-c'mon Issy." She managed to stand up, and take a deep breath in- a break from all the laughter. "Nothing is going to be in that house, In the 7 years I had lived in this town- and going by that stupid house I haven't even heard a meow from a cat come out of it." Jack giggled again, and she took in a deep breath to calm herself down from all the hysertics.

Isabella sighed and nodded slightly, but she was smiling. I guess you're right - I mean, c'mon, even if there are ghosts in there, it's not like we've never seen one. But even as she said it, Issy lost faith in her own words. Were muggle ghosts the same?

"Yeah," said Shane to Isabella now as he recovered from his bout of laughter. "It's no big deal. Come on. It's all just muggles making up stuff. And you know how scary they think ghosts are. We know ghosts are nothing. So, it's okay." He patted her on the back. "Toughen up, and let's get to this house. It'll all be fine."

Bryan nodded. "And if not, you have us here to protect you," said Bryan to Isabella as he turned to face her now. "Well me, at any rate. I still question Shane's reliability in certain situations. But you can always count on me, no problem. Like you said, it's not like we've never seen a ghosts. They're perfectly harmless. Friendly, even."

Isabella chuckled slightly and calmed down a bit. Awesome, she said, rolling her eyes and grinning. I'm sure I'll feel so protected with you guys there for me. She laughed slightly at her own words, happy to be lightening up. It really would be nothing.
