A Draco/Hermione love story

It’s the fifth year of Hogwarts. Draco and Hermione have hated each other for years. But one simple occurrence in potions class where the two are forced to be partners turns into something else. Of course the change does not happen overnight, but feelings are questioned, looks are tossed, and people change their minds. Fights occur between close friends, and secret meetings are held between friends and opposing forces. When everyone is faced with the fight for their life in the upcoming seventh year, will love conquer or will it fail? What will happen?

Ancestry: Pure-blood.

Mother: Molly (Prewett) Weasley.

Father: Arthur Weasley.


Appearance:

Eye color: bright brown

Hair color: Vivid, flaming red, worn as a long mane

Build: the short Weasley variation (like the twins rather than Ron).

Distinguishing features: when her jaw is set, her facial resemblance to Fred and George is striking



Personality: Ginny is a forceful, independent girl who often knows her own mind. She has an energetic, lively personality. Only around Harry Potter, in the first few years of their friendship, was she different. She had a huge crush on Harry, but could not relax around him at all, and became shy and withdrawn in his presence. On the advice of friend Hermione Granger, however, she overcame it, and reasserted her usual self, resulting in her eventually winning the heart of her longtime love. One of the traits Harry was attracted to was that Ginny very rarely wept. She was strong enough to overcome most everything and is extremely smart and creative.

Staring out across the courtyard, Draco Malfoy had his bag on his shoulder and hands in his pockets. He wasn't really looking forward to Potions, because of course he had it with that, trio, again. Year after year, he always was with them and couldn't get away. Were they trying to torture him?

Turning away from looking across among the students, he headed towards the direction of the Dungeons. At least it was near his own common room, and it was his favorite subject.

Placing himself in a seat near the back like he always did, he leaned forward on his arms and looked around the room in the direction of where the Gryffindors sat. Disgusting.

Huffing from running so much, Hermione started taking the stairs down to the dungeons two at a time. She couldn't be late for Potions. Wouldn't be late. She couldn't mess with her reputation as the smartest Witch in her Year and she certainly couldn't be late.

Though the absence of her two best friends when she reached the dungeon corridor made her raise her brow. Then she remembered how much they hated that class and it made more sense. Maybe they would arrive late and lose Points. Then she would have to scold them from being lazy and not in charge of their education.

She snorted to herself and entered the classroom and saw that they weren't there yet. Typical.

She headed towards a free seat, passing Draco on the way. Naturally she had to give him a look of disgust. He was the most horrid Slytherin ever. He was even worse than Snape who was a Professor and she had to respect.

She plunked herself down in a seat and started setting up, waiting for Harry and Ron to join her.

As he was being bored and looking around the room, a head of wavy hair obstructed his view of where the other Gryffindors were. Ugh, it was Granger. She was probably his least favorite Gryffindor girl, especially because she was smart and... well, annoying.

Besides, whoever was her partner for some of these was sure to be in trouble. Being told to do everything - that was something he would NOT tolerate. If Snape put them together, he'd be furious.

"Granger," he said. "You're gonna block my view. So either cut your hair off, or move."

"Why, Hermione!" Calamity laughed and hugged her best friend. She had missed her so much!

"Wow,you've grown taller, and I," She did a mock bow, "got shorter." She sighed.

Whipping around to see Malfoy, she shot, "Bugger off, Malfoy. Leave her alone."

Now he was being a git to her? Well, what was new really? She clenched her fists on the table and refused to look at him. "What would you know of hair, Malfoy? When all you do is slick it back. You look like an idiot." Which he would have even if he didn't slick his hair back but that was besides the point.

Then suddenly she found herself wrapped into a hug. Calamity!" She hugged the girl back. Wow, she hadn't seen her in a while and had missed her.

"What are you talking about? You are the one that's taller now." Calamity had to stop being silly and saying stuff like that. She was actually a fair bit taller now than she had been.

She snorted as she insulted Malfoy. "He's a nasty little Ferret Boy."

"Stupid potions," Ron muttered as he skulked into the room, eyes on the floor. He hated this class. No.. loathed this class. Plopping down in a seat without really looking around, the first person he laid eyes on was Malfoy.

Greasy lil git, he thought sullenly. He pout was interuppted when he heard some talking right next to him. Without realizing it, he'd sat next to Hermione. "Oh, hi Hermione.. Calamity." Ron grinned.

"Made it on time for once, yeah?"

Oh fantastic. Malfoy was now surrounded by idiotic Gryffindors. Could this class get any worse?

"Ferret boy," he drawled, rolling his eyes. "Is that the best you have, Granger? Someone of your 'supposed' wit could surely come up with something better than that."

He watched Crabbe and Goyle walk into the room and place themselves next to him. After that, he looked back over to the Gryffindors.

"You'd think they could put us in a better class than with this kind of low class wizardry."
