Lyra was stopped by Josh as she looked up at him. He sounded like a parental unit at the moment and she wanted to laugh. It was almost as if she were in trouble...playing of course. "Okay. This one we ride in the front, but the next one we ride in the back," she spoke knowing that no matter what he said, she was not changing her mind on this one. She was standing her grounds...ha!

"Oh that sounds nice," she said with a bit of excitement over the star tent. Today was definitely turning into an interesting one that was for sure, and she was enjoying herself as well. Her eyes watched the line moving but they weren't. "Can we ride now?" she asked with a pouty playful look on her face. Oh and she had to add the blinking of the eyes as well.

"right so back first and then the front." he told her as he smiled. the boy paid attention to when she talked. he really hadnt noticed that the lines were moving. He was just thinking mostly about the star tent. it was suppose to be really cool..according to his source. She was easily amused though."its suppose to be fantastic." he told her as he then saw her pouting. what was she doing? he chuckled as this is where he normally would demanded a kiss before going any further. it was then he hadnt noticed that he was staring at her..a little longer then he should of." sorry." he said as he then looked away and caught up to the line." Sure. to the back." he told her as they arrived at the front of the line. he moved to sit on the back of the ride as it came to. " so when was the last time you went to something like this?"

Oh he was good and was finally getting the idea of what she meant, but to her it really didn't matter that much just as long as they got to ride the rides. Her pouty look began to disappear as she noticed him staring and thus began the biting of her lip, but then stopped quickly because she knew what he would say. So instead she pressed her lips together as she looked away. This was an awkward feeling as she knew what would have happened when she got that look from him.

she quietly followed him to the last seat on the roller coaster keeping a bit to herself for a while and not letting on to the different things that were going on inside of her mind. "It's definitely been a while," she said as she now waited for the ride to begin. She hated this feeling inside of her as it seemed to make her smile disappear for the time being...roller coaster or not.

"Thought it might be something fun." he told her as he then looked ahead as the roller coaster started."dont get scared." he told her as he smiled at her." maybe if you do good i'll buy you a lollipop." he teased her." hang on tight." he said to her. It was then that they started down the first slope. he smiled as he then started to enjoy the ride.

Lyra enjoyed the ride and giggled when he said that he would buy her a lollipop. "Me scared? Just who do you think you are talking too, mister?" she eyed him for a moment but then the ride began and...Nope! Nothing to be scared about here.

Once the ride ended, she was more than happy to have her hair put up for a change. She reached behind her and pulled her ponytail tight as a good luck charm landed on her...a ladybug. She began to giggle out of control at the thoughts that were brought to mind at the moment. Blame the ladybugs! That's all she ever did when she watched Christian playing soccer, but that was for the simple distraction of watching him play shirtless. She sighed for a moment as she waited for the ride to come to a complete stop.

he smiled as the ride ended." what are you laughing at?" he asked her as he moved to get out of the ride." something amusing i see?" he moved to stick his hands in his pockets as he then followed her." so whats the next ride?" he asked her as he would follow her.

Lyra moved to get out of the car as Josh asked her a question. "Huh? Oh! I was laughing at my good luck charm...the ladybug that landed on me a second ago," she claimed as her eyes glanced around a bit to see what else was in store for them.

As they walked on, she placed her hands behind her back as the looked at him. "Tell me something," she began then looked forward as she continued. "You brought me here because you wanted to spend time with me or because I made a big deal about you not spending time with me yesterday at the party?" She wanted to know his reasoning for his all of a sudden change of plans to spend time with her and was amazed that it just so happened the day after they had their talk. If she were going to learn anything from their relationship, the first thing that had to happen was the communication between them. She definitely didn't want him to feel sorry for her in any way, that was not the way it was supposed to be.

"and why are lady bugs good luck charms? I missing the connection here?" he said to her as he didnt know lady bugs were charms. Now if it was clovers .. that would be a different story.

"yeah." he told her as he turned to look at her as she spoke. he thought about it.. what excatly did he want to say..he sighed as he moved to a area that wasnt as populated as the other areas." Let me finish before you say anything else alright.." he looked at her as he then told her." its both..actually. You made a big deal about it which made me realize something. You wanted to spend time with me. Something i didnt know before. When we left school you didnt seem like you wanted me around. Let alone you never really did anything to prove that you wanted me around. So i did what you wanted. i stayed away from you. Lyra dont hold it against me that i wasnt there for you. I didnt know you wanted me there. if i would of known i would of been there for you. I told you i loved you and i mean every syllable, vowel and letter. I wanted to spend time with you before.. the moment we left hogwarts was the moment i wanted to spend time with me. I cant read minds lyra.. you have to help me out here."

he sighed as he looked at her," Lyra i asked you mainly because i wanted to spend time with you because i love you. I hate this awkwardness and i dont particularly like being this way with you. Its like trying to be someone im not.. i know what i want with you and its not like this. It's like that day at the pathways when i told you that you were changing.. you weren't the same. We both can be alive and exist, but neither of us are really alive without each other. Do you understand really understand what i mean when i say that i love you. Thats me loving you so much that i'd risk my life knowing that i might not make it out alive. thats how much i love you. Im still racking my brain to make you realize that when i said forever.. thats what i meant. Please dont push me away." he asked her." its not the same without you...its not the same being here with you when we cant play. i dont want to be somewhere we cant be who we are. i dont want to be anywhere that you arent there." he stared at her for a few moments as he then moved to put his hand against her cheek." i miss you.."

She knew it. There had to be a reason for Josh bringing her here and he just presented it to her. She was lost, confused but completely understood what he was saying, but things were changing, she was changing. "I still love you and I always will," she whispered, but knew that her feelings for him were one of the things that had slight altercations added to them. She held onto a love for another as well...Christian, but with that also came the strange awkwardness, Christian was still dating Mallory. Oh what a bizarre love triangle she was in. Each person she loved were heading in different directions than she was, creating the phrase...life wasn't fair.

She missed the arms that could hold her tight and tell her that everything was going to be okay, no matter what the situation was or where anyone ended up in life. "Things are just complicated right now between everyone heading off in different directions. I feel as if I'm leaving my heart behind and moving on without it." She had to tell her true feelings and lay them on the table. She was always able to tell the truth with him, but for some reason, it was harder today than any other day. "I'm leaving behind all the people that I love as we scatter off into different directions. It's hard and I don't want to watch it anymore, but it's a part of life."

She paused for a moment as she looked at Josh, knowing how he was and knowing how she was. "I have fought this over and over in my head. There is a part of me that doesn't want to let go of you, but it's not fair to hang on to something that is miles away. What happened if you met someone that changed your life more than you say I did?" Her eyes watched him for a moment as she paused. "I don't want to be the one that stands in your way from you being completely happy with that one person. We are both still young and have our whole life ahead of us. Things could change completely with us being apart, that's something we would never know until it came to that point." She looked at the ground for a moment as she closed her eyes and shook her head.

"I realized last night exactly what I was doing to you and it killed me inside to know that I was wrong at doing it but I can't help my feelings. I'm afraid of letting you both go, but even more afraid of loosing Christian." She said it and finally admitted something openly that she never realized until last night. "Josh, Christian was there long before you and there is a part of me that knows he will always be there whether we are 8,000 miles apart or right next door to each other. He's my friend and when you tell me to let go of him, you are asking me to let go of a part of myself and that is something that I cannot do. Whether we remain friends for the rest of our lives or more than that, he will always be there for me if I ever need him, just as I will be there if he ever needs me. It's just a bond between us that can never be broken."

She pulled out the rubber band from her hair so that she had something around her face and something to play with as she started to become fidgety. "And with you, I feel as though I'm standing in your way at times. We seem to only get along when it's just the two of us and life is not like that...I don't want that. I want to be happy in a crowd or happy with just us. I don't want to feel as though I'm trying to compete for your attention around other people, I feel completely left out at times. I know you don't mean it and I understand what you have told me time and time again, but I just get the feeling that...I'm not the one that could make you happy completely no matter where we are or what we do." She looked up to him as she placed her hand on his cheek, her thumb rubbing slightly. "I may have helped you in some way but...what if there is someone that could complete what I started? You would give that up for me?"

Now the truth was out, completely. She laid her cards on the table as she felt she was loosing the game. She was loosing Josh and Christian as they were all going their separate ways in three different directions. Tears began to build up in her eyes as this was becoming harder and harder on her and it might have been easier if she just left that last day straight from the train, but she had to go and complicate things, it wouldn't be the same if she hadn't.

Alex nodded. "I promise." Alex said waiting for Maya to hurry up. He ignored her pinky, honestly he wasn't in the mood. He went though the house and waited in the forecourt for Maya, then decided to bring the motorbike to her.

Moments later he came zooming around the corner with his helmet on. He motioned for Maya to get on the back. "There's a helmet here." He passed it to her. "Put it on, strap it tight. You know the directions, right?... Oh, and don't forget to hold on."

"Lyra im not asking you to give him up completely. I knew you where friends the moment i started dating you. I would never ask you to give up a friend completely because thats cruel and unfair to ask of anyone. I was always just asking you to love me more and prove it. Not go around flirting with him and holding his hands because you know if i went around and did that you would be all over me. Just like you did that night in the forest. I just want to know that you love me the most and let your actions prove it." he took a deep breath in as he continued." I know you think your standing in my way lyra, but you never could. I choose to do what i want with my life and if i choose to be with you then thats my choice. thats not you standing in my way. I can do more things then just be an auror. I've never met anyone that makes me feel the way you do. When you find something that you dont want to loose, you hang on to it. For people like me ....things like this dont come around often.Im going to be here for you lyra."

he looked at her as he finally had decided." After hogwarts im coming to france. Its not going to 8,000 miles for long. im going to be there..i promise. And im sorry i make you feel that way. i never meant to..i can work on that while your gone.Lyra your the only one i want. i've had a lot of girls in my life and each one i could get along and i could love. Your the one i want to love.We've worked this hard to get through things we just need to work out a few things. We are both getting better at things and we will have it down in no time." he smiled at her. josh moved to give her a hug as he then spun her around like he always did. as he stopped he looked at her and told her." from this moment on your my attention. you'll never have to battle for it." he had heard what she had said, but he didnt want to really think about it. Inside he was crumbling from the fact she had just pushed him away. He wasnt going to think about it and he was going to enjoy this day with her.in their relationship they had failed because neither one of them told each other how they felt. It wasnt going to happen again."i wouldnt give you up for anything. Not even all the power in the world and the shiny things of life. Their isnt a life without someone to love and your the one i want to love."he told her as he smiled."i know we have our fights, but i still think your worth fighting for. we will get through this .. like we got through everything else."

Lyra sighed at the things he was asking her to not do with Christian. This was becoming too hard, especially since Christian had been there helping her through the hard times she was having and holding her hand was one of them, not to mention the necklace as well and the meaning behind it. Suddenly, she felt herself being picked up and spun around, she held on for dear life and chuckled lightly.

She was about to speak when something he spoke jumped her attention to that topic. "Josh, you can't quit! It's what you are supposed to do." She didn't want to be the one responsible for him not going through and doing what he was supposed to do after school. It would devastate her in more than one way if she ever found out she was the one responsible for that.

She decided that she needed to have a seat for a bit, too many things going on at one time. She moved to find a small bench that was beside them and sat down, placing her elbows on her knees and resting her head in her hands. "Just let me sit for a bit," she lightly giggled once again but it was not the rides nor anything else at the carnival that made her feel this way. Her head was just spinning. Spinning from the conversation she was having with Josh and the conversation she had with Christian last night. She leaned back on the bench and rested her head against the wall.

" I can quit what i want." he told her with a smile. He teased as he told her." i've always wanted to be a clown in the circus. OH! or a rocketeer! Strap the rockets on by back and fly around. A broom would be better fit. or going to the moon could be fun! " he chuckled a little as he looked down at her sitting. he moved to sit down next to her as he assured her." if i ever quit anything its because i want to. I have loads of time." he told her as he then added."we can stay here as long as you want." he moved to lean back as he looked around and waited for her.

Lyra felt Josh sit next to her and she lifted her head. "It's not that I'm not having fun because I am. I want to stay for a bit," she spoke as her eyes watched the crowd of people walking by, enjoying their time at the carnival, especially the one that was eating something that was blue and pink and it was fluffy. "Oh! That looks good," she perked up with a bit of drool forming around her lips. It was color, sweet looking and she had no idea what it was. Her eyes were glued to the fluffiness of the candy. "Let's get some, please? I want some of that." She pointed to where the boy was now playing a game but didn't know the name of the fluffy stuff.

Josh smiled at her as he nodded."sure. lets go." he told her as he then stood from
