After all the craziness between TJ and Raven, I figured that I just had to get away for awhile; I mean being back in California really is something that I needed to do, the girls in England just seem to be kinda crazy and it's not a good thing. Cali girls are totally chill and that's exactly what I'm used to, I guess I'm gonna have to get used to everything being different until I graduate Hogwarts in a couple terms.

So back to Raven, I don't understand why the girl decides to make my life difficult now that she's back around, maybe it's got something to do with the fact that she expects me to just be like her and obviously that won't be happening. Whether or not she agrees with the fact that I won't take after her as the newest Slytherin troublemaker, it really doesn't matter.

So I managed to not only get lost among a group of firsties while getting off the train, I also startled my girlfriend when I joined the rest of my housemates at the Slytherin table; now that was rather funny although I'm kinda confused as to why I had to bring up the whole idea of a first date with TJ, it's not that I don't want to take her out but all thoughts from last term seem to be coming back and I'm not entirely sure that I can trust her not to revert to just playing around with me like I'm some kind of a muggle toy soldier that can be easily broken.

I just don't know what to do anymore...

So after meeting a few people at the start of term feast, I realized that there truly isn't super relaxed people like me and that sucks since I don't like dealing with serious people although this isn't Cali; this is Hogwarts and the two worlds are completely different. So back in the summer in Diagon Alley, I met this girl Stella who goes to Beauxbatons and I dunno what it is about her but I honestly can't get her out of my head; yeah she's really pretty but that's not the point here, the point is that despite that I'm "dating" TJ, I can't help but want to see her again.

I know Raven wasn't too happy about the fact that I was talking to her although she can just get over it, seriously I've had enough of her pushing me around and trying to take over my life even though this is my life and I want to do what I want to whether or not my cousin likes it doesn't even matter anymore.

I'm not quite sure if TJ is catching on to the fact I'm not really paying attention to her much anymore, well it's not like I can help what my own brain is thinking about and it's obvious my thoughts have to be about Stella; did I mention that she's gorgeous and amusing but most of all she manages to annoy Raven somehow. I kinda get the backlash from that although somehow it's not that bad in the end. Now speaking of TJ, I guess I'll be spending some more time with her since we're both yearbook writers and therefore that ends up meaning that we have to work together to get some articles done which won't necessarily be easy.

I just cannot believe that Raven had to send me a letter this early in the term, already she thinks I'm making a mockery of the Athlon family name and I'm not truly related to her family; so I dunno exactly what she's getting at but regardless of that point, she really wants to get me to work on meeting more people and of course earn more points for Slytherin.

Who hires a Transfiguration that turns his desk into a chainsaw? Seriously dude that's just a little weird, needless to say I don't think I'll be going to that class much when it's an insult to my intelligence and I can use that time for doing homework or exploring the castle further since this is my 2nd year at the school. No I'm not a 2nd year, I'm a 5th year; it's called being a transfer student and if you don't like it then I don't care, besides if I was a 2nd year still at 15.. there would be an issue there. Classes outside that have been pretty good, a little more challenging but regardless it's nothing that I can't handle; I'm not just the Cali surfer dude who is totally chill and anything else associated with the stereotype, I am rather smart even if it just doesn't seem like it.

Can I say that I officially have had to deal with more drama at Hogwarts than I had to at Rygal? I think it's partially due to the fact that really no one knew who I was at my school, I just kinda flew under the radar although I happened to be one of the few students that was constantly at the top of every class throughout my first 3 years at the school. Not that I don't like the attention here, even though it seems to be from a lot of girls (which obviously is something Raven likes to hear about since she assumes that I'm a player and I'm not since we've been through this discussion already, I'm dating TJ.. get over it.); I just don't want to end up in the middle of a situation that didn't even involve me to begin with..

I'm not quite sure what's worse about this situation, the fact that TJ kissed someone else and then told me or the fact that she ended up breaking up with me; pretty sure both of them hurt equally as much since I'm not quite sure what the hell I did to deserve to basically get burned like this but if someone knows then explain it to me.. At least I've got other things to focus on now like the yearbook and of course classes but I think this is going to bug me for awhile in the end.

So Christmas is coming up and I get to spend the holiday in London with Raven, hopefully it won't be bad but I never know anymore what's going to happen when I hang out with her. Well if things get top bad, I can always hang out with Kyle since I know she'll be around and contrary to popular belief, we're not dating; we're just friends, seriously I dunno what it is with this school but it just seems like assumptions are made if you happen to be friends with a girl that she's your girlfriend and obviously that's not the case here. Not that I wouldn't go out with her, I totally would cause she's pretty, smart and really funny but I'm not interested in her like that anyway.

December 15th, 2074

So it looks like I managed to avoid hanging out with my cousin over Christmas break, which is awesome for me since I get to go back to LA and catch up with old friends that I've not seen since earlier last summer. Any chance that I get to escape spending time with Raven is a good thing since she manages to annoy me constantly but at times she isn't all that bad really. I have another thing to add, the cold weather totally sucks; man I'm not used to this but I suppose I'll get used to it while I spend more time in England.

A new year brings about more chances to be a made complete fool of by certain people, even being back home in Los Angeles doesn't stop Raven from completely embarrassing me, this time she decided to show up unannounced at my house then proceed to tell my friends that she can surf. Not only did she completely wipe out while trying to catch a wave (That was kinda funny too), but decided to mention that she still looked after me like I'm 8 or something (which I'm not.. I'm turning 16 next month). I know she's supposed to be my cousin and she acts like she's 5 at times, but there's no excuse for this continued behaviour; it's driving me crazy!

Anyways, outside all that stupidity; Christmas was really awesome, my parents set up a slalom course so I could practice my turning radius on my broom and not to mention they got me a new broom since I kinda trashed the old one while I was trying to fly through the old abandoned house which isn't far from my house; I kinda knew what was gonna happen before I attempted it but of course I have to be an idiot and try it anyway. That little stunt gave me some great injuries which I had to go for a muggle hospital to get fixed, but I certainly learned my lesson then.

Just when I thought I'd forgotten about TJ, I happened to run into her while I was wandering around the school; of course we had to talk and things remained innocent for awhile until she mentioned things with Ivan hadn't been going well, now I realized then that I could have ran away but I didn't and decided to try to help her through with some comments that sounded really weird after I had said them. Apparently, it's like watching Raven being little miss heartbreaker made me realize that that isn't the way love should be; you just should be with one person at one time and not leave them for no excuse, in the end it's all a matter of the heart, whether or not you want to be involved doesn't matter really.

As the days grow closer to my birthday, I'm getting more excited cause it means I'm one year closer to being able to use magic outside of school; not only that but.. it also means I needs to start considering what to do with my future.. like go to university or go right into some kind of career.

It's official, I'm sixteen well.. I have been since the ninth of this month but there's no need to get all technical here honestly; I think my parents are holding off on giving me a present until I get back home in June which is cool since it'll probably be a new surfboard or something like that which I can use at home. You'd think coming from a pureblood family that everything would be all old school wizarding stuff and that it would be a lot easier, nah; it's completely the opposite since the family acts like muggles and we own ancient technology from about 70 years ago, you wouldn't know we were magic folk unless you were one too. I guess that's the way I like things, magic might make things easier at times though it tends to make things much more difficult the rest of the time.

Who said all purebloods had to be against Muggle technology, etc.? I think that's a dumb idea anyway, especially if they're witches and wizards living amongst Muggles.

Well thanks to a certain moment of stupidity, there's the idea of a conspiracy going on at the school which involves the girls of Hogwarts; I guess I've listened to Raven too much cause this is something she would be taking on. Anyways, on another note completely; I met two dudes who seemed pretty cool, Dallin who's a Ravenclaw and Damien who's a Hufflepuff. The only thing was they're pretty much the first guys I've run into since I'd transferred to this school last term, it's kinda like girls run the show around here and we're just hiding off somewhere.

Exams are officially here and without any surprise, I'm not entirely happy about it since there's just so much more that I could be doing with my time outside demonstrating what I had learned over the term which needless to say was quite a bit but still besides the point here. What tops it is not only do I have exams for my classes, I also have to do my OWLs since I'm a 5th year; it's just like when you think it can't get any worse.. it does.

At least summer is almost here which also brings me to another point, I received a letter a couple days ago from my friends back at Rygal; school's falling down and there's no money to fix it. I decided to put away my earlier plans to hang out with Hogwarts friends and go help rebuild the school by hand since even though there were certain situations that really made me want to leave, I have good memories there too; I guess it's the right thing to do even though summer is meant for relaxation. Instead, we're doing something that's going to help the next generation and truly to know that makes it all worth it in the end.
