Hey Emily, things are heating up, and I do feel sorry for Draco that he can't man up to his father. But, seriously!!!! I wonder if anyone would be able to. Anyone other than Harry that is. I'm sure he could, he always does. Still though, Draco is under circumstances beyound his control maybe. Just because he sees his daughter looking that way, doesn't mean Draco looks that way. Draco doesn't seem to me to be trying to put on any fronts. He's just being careful not to roll his eyes. I think it's funny some people only seem to be abl to see what they want to see. It isn't that difficult to believe Pansy. Emily is way out of your league and so much better in everyway!
Great post Emily. Oh and the dresses are astonishingly beautiful! I don't know which one I like best! I'll be watching for the next post.

POST TIME!

Jamie dropped into the chair, putting his bag on the floor beside his feet.

“I hate Snape…” He said as Fred and George wandered over. “He’s given me detention for tonight”

“What did you do to receive the detention, little cousin?” George said, sitting next to Jamie as Harry and Ron collapsed into the sofa.

“He threw a horned toad at him… It hit him in the face…” Ron said, trying very hard not to laugh.

“Hmm… Did I hear correctly? You’ve got detention tonight?” The five boys turned to see Alicia standing behind them, her hands on her hips.

“Yeah… You were there, Ali…” Jamie said, raising an eyebrow. Alicia shrugged.

“I wasn’t paying any attention” She said, waving a hand and Emily laughed as she came up behind her.

“Sounds about right… Can I talk to you?” Alicia nodded and walked away with the red head.

“Well… What is it?” Alicia said as Emily closed the dormitory door.

“Lucius Malfoy… We have a problem” Emily said, dropping onto the end of her bed. Alicia fell onto hers, frowning.

“I knew this was going to come up… What’s he done? ” She sighed and Emily shook her head.

“It’s not that… Katie Bell was in hearing distance when Draco and Pansy met with their fathers… From what she said, Lucius has got a spy at Hogwarts” Alicia sat up straight and stared at her.

“What?” She said, her hair turning a pale green. “Who?”

“I don’t know… Katie said she didn’t hear them say any names… But this spy is only watching Draco-” Emily said but Alicia jumped to her feet.

“If they’re watching Draco, then they know that he kissed me- not the other way round! But… One minute- how long has this spy been around? If it’s long, they know about you-” Alicia said, dropping back down onto the bed.

“Exactly… We’ve got to find out who this spy is, and find out what they know before-” Emily said, Alicia cutting her off.

“Before they tell Lucius and I lose my best friend…” She said darkly, her hair turning dark blue.

“Can you calm your hair down? It’s giving me a headache with the colour changes” Emily said quietly and they both laughed, breaking the dark mood that had fallen over them.

“ALI!” Jamie’s voice echoed up the stairs and Alicia skipped to the door.

“WHAT?” She shouted back, cracking the door open and sticking her head out. Emily rolled her eyes.

“LEE JUST BROUGHT A NOTE FROM SNAPE… YOU’VE GOT DETENTION AS WELL!” Emily laughed as Alicia brought her head back, a look of anger on her face.

“I swear, if he makes one nasty comment I’m going to throw something at him” Alicia said as she and Jamie made their way down to the dungeons.

“Well… I threw something at him and that’s why we’re here… So I think it would be a bad idea” Jamie said and Alicia pulled a face at him as she smoothed her dress. “How do you get away with wearing that in lessons anyway?” Jamie said, eyeing the black dress.

“Easy… The white collar makes it look like the uniform and I can still wear my tie” Alicia said as she knocked on the classroom door.

“Enter” Alicia pulled another face as Snape’s voice droned out. She pushed the door open and walked in.

“Professor” Jamie said as he closed the door behind him.

“You are to scrub the cauldrons out the back without magic, Daniels. You are going to re- label all the ingredients in the store cupboard, Starlight. Get to work” Jamie glanced at Alicia as she glared at the man in front of them.

“Can I ask why I have detention? Professor?” Alicia said through her teeth. Snape’s lip curled.

“You seemed it fit to not stop Mr Starlight in lesson and did not complete the work asked. The cauldrons will not clean themselves, Miss Daniels” Jamie pulled Alicia away from the teacher as she stepped forwards.

“Just do it” Jamie whispered as Alicia muttered under her breath.

Emily started a letter, only to ball it up and trash it a second later. She was trying to figure out if Lucius knew about her, but if he had a spy, she didn’t want to bring attention to herself. She stared at the clock. Alicia was still in detention, so she had no one to ask about it. Instead of trying another letter, Emily pulled out her Transfiguration book and started on her essay.

Emily was on her conclusion when she heard a peck on the window. She glanced over and noticed an eagle owl.

“Drakkon?” Emily asked in confusion. Her chair scraped against the floor as she pushed it out and stood up. Drakkon flew in and landed on her Charms’ essay as she opened the window. She detached the letter with her name on it and Drakkon flew off.

I don’t know if father knows about you and me, but I do know he has a spy. Watch your back and I’d pass on the warning to your Godfather too. He’s angry, Ems. And I have a feeling Pansy isn’t going to be too thrilled with you and Alicia either. Try to stay clear of any Slytherins for a while. Look, I know I told you I moved on, but I do still care about what happens to you. I don’t want you to get hurt, Ems, and my father isn’t one for mercy. Be careful.

Emily stared at the letter, reading through it twice. She folded the letter back up and continued with her Charms’ essay, finishing it ten minutes later. She closed her book and rolled up her parchment. She gathered all her things and went up to her dormitory.

Emily dropped everything on top of her trunk except for her letter from Draco. She dropped onto her bed and positioned herself so that she was upside down, her head hanging over the side of the bed. She read the letter again, sighing.

As Lavender and Parvati walked into the room, Emily quickly folded up her letter and rolled off of the bed, making her way down to the Common Room. She sat on the couch by the fireplace. She watched the embers die down, her letter clutched tightly in her hand. She heard the portrait hole open and close behind her. She turned round, hoping it was Alicia and Jamie, but it just ended up being the twins. They grinned as they joined her by the fire. Fred sat down beside her as George took the armchair. Fred slipped his arm around her and she looked up at him, eyebrows raised.

“Simmer down, red, I just came to ask what color your dress was so I could match for the Yule Ball,” he laughed.

“It’s silver,” she said with a smile.

“You look stressed,” he observed.

Emily glanced at him slightly. He looked genuine, but if she told him her secret, he’d probably never talk to her again. “Oh, you know, just school and what not,” she said quietly, looking away. He gave her a look before glancing away from her. “Wait! Did you just now ask me about the color of my dress? It’s next weekend, Fred!” Emily exclaimed, looking over at him in surprise.

Fred smiled shyly. “I’m a guy, Ems. Haven’t you learned that we’re all like this?” he chuckled.

“Figures,” Emily muttered with a laugh.

Just then, Alicia and Jamie walked through the portrait hole. Alicia looked irritated when she noticed Emily.

“Come on, you two, I’ve been waiting on y’all. We need to talk,” Emily said, standing up. Fred and George left the room, so Alicia and Jamie took their spots. They gathered round in a circle and Emily told them all about the letter.

They discussed what they should do about it and how it should be handled. They all decided that they had to stay clear of Draco and cut off all contact, which wouldn’t be hard for Jamie and Alicia. Emily was an entirely different story.

Alicia slipped down the wall and caught her breath. She’d just run from Charms to a secret shortcut by Astronomy just to avoid Malfoy. The plan to stay clear from him and to cut off all contact seemed easy at the time—well, the no contact part anyway. Alicia grabbed her bag and stood up, sighing. This was easier for her than it was for Emily… Alicia shook the thoughts from her head and headed towards the Transfiguration tower.

“Where have you been?” Ron said as she dropped into the seat between him and Jamie.

“For a run…” she muttered and he threw a look which questioned her sanity. Jamie leant towards her ear.

“Malfoy?” he asked quietly and she nodded.

“I feel for Ems… You may not like it, but she does care about Malfoy like I care about you… This no contact thing is hard for her,” she said, pulling her essay out of her bag for Professor McGonagall to take. “But, on happier terms—my dress is blue. Make sure you match or I’ll hurt you.”

“I thought you said happier?” Jamie laughed and she shrugged. “So… Do I get to see the dress?”

“No—not until Saturday… You’ll just have to wait,” she said as the teacher addressed the class.

“So, how was your day?” Lee asked as Jamie and Alicia squeezed onto the couch. Alicia was squished against Emily, who was up against Fred.

“Boring… Yours?” Jamie asked and Lee shrugged. “What about you, Fred?”

“Same old stuff…” he muttered, waving a hand and nearly hitting Emily in the face. “Oops, sorry, Ems.”

“I’ll let it pass… Ali? Coming upstairs?” Emily said and Alicia nodded, her emerald curls bouncing.

“Spill it,” Alicia said as soon as she shut the door. Emily was already on her bed.

“There’s nothing to spill, Alicia,” she said and Alicia stared at her as she hung over the side of her own bed.

“Liar.”

“What! There’s nothing! Seriously! Stop staring at me!” Emily said and Alicia grinned.

“Emily, you forgot I can read your mind sometimes… It’s about Malfoy, isn’t it?” Alicia said and Emily sighed.

“Course it is…” she muttered and Alicia looked at her. “I don’t think your necklace likes me…” she added, looking down at the little heart.

“It does… It just takes a bit of time, that’s all… You’re finding the no contact and steering clear thing hard, yes?” Alicia said and Emily nodded. Alicia pursed her lips and sat up. “I’ve had an idea…” She went to her trunk and pulled out a roll of parchment, a quill, and an ink well.

“What are you doing?” Emily asked as Alicia started scribbling on the piece of parchment.

“I’m making a list of what we could do… First on it is erase your memory but that’s a bit harsh… We could write a note to Malfoy and then borrow Harry’s invisibility cloak for you to see him but he probably wouldn’t come—no offence… Or we could try to keep this up until the ball and then you could corner him there…” Alicia put the quill down and smiled. “I like that one better.”

“Or you could stop planning things and we could just stick to the no contact thingy,” Emily said, shaking her head.

“I was only trying to make you happier,” Alicia said, pulling a sad face.

“I know… My happiness seems to be near the top of your list all the time,” Emily laughed and Alicia grinned.

“It makes me sad when you’re sad… Anyway, you’re more fun when you’re happy.” She grinned at Emily, who returned it. “So, what do you want to do?”

“Tell me about your detention last night,” Emily said and Alicia’s smile vanished.

“Did I tell you why I had detention? Because I didn’t stop Jamie throwing that toad!” Emily tried not to laugh as Alicia explained the cleaning she had to do. “I think I had to do the cleaning because I’m a girl… It’s something Snape would do,” she said, returning to hanging over the side of the bed.

“Snape’s not that bad…” Emily said and Alicia pulled a face. There was a knock at the door.

“Yeah,” Alicia called and Ginny appeared.

“The boys said you were up here… What are you talking about?”

“Nothing… Just my detention the other day… Hey, do you know how you’re having your hair for the ball yet?” Alicia said as Ginny and Hermione walked into the room.

“Up,” Hermione said as she sat by Alicia’s foot, who was watching Emily upside down.

“I’m going to straighten it,” Ginny said and Alicia nodded, still staring at Emily.

“I might have it to one side,” Emily said, glancing down at Alicia. “Will you stop staring at me?” Alicia laughed and a staring competition started. Ginny won.

Hello Abi, Just like Emily, another wonderful post. I don't know how you girls do it. OK yes, i was paying attention when you told me you PM each other with your posts, but still, the story flows so smoothly, it has to be that you're both so talented.

SOOOOo sorry i missed soooooo much :O i havent been on SS in a while because iv been to caught up in watching The Vampire Diaries (Best program ever ) any way i loved these chapters ! i feel sorry for emily because she wants to be with Draco and she can't PAMS

Draco glanced around the Slytherin Common Room at all the people. He narrowed the spies down to one of his house members. He noticed that Pansy kept glancing his way. Draco rolled his eyes. He had apologized to her and asked her to the dance, so things were a little bit fixed. He thought about the ball that was only a few days away and the stunt he had to pull off.

Draco kept going over the plan in his head, but the thought made him sick. Draco glanced down at his unfinished homework and sighed. He had too much on his mind to concentrate, so he closed the book with a snap and decided that Sunday would be better.

The next day, Draco found himself in the courtyard. He was messing around with some first years when he noticed Starlight coming towards him. This will be good, Draco thought with a smirk.

“I’m getting sick of having to avoid you! Leave the first years alone!” Jamie said forcefully.

“You’re right; I guess I should go pick on some certain girls instead. They’re much more entertaining.” Draco sniggered as Jamie became furious.

“Don’t ever touch her again!” Jamie shouted as he stood in the courtyard.

"What I do has nothing to do with you!" Draco shouted back as he stood opposite Jamie. A small number of people were standing round them.

“It does when you kiss my girlfriend!” Jamie shouted and a couple of people whispered to each other.

“Well it doesn’t help that she kissed me back!” Even more whispers flew round the two boys at Draco’s shout. Draco had said that she had kissed him, but he basically just admitted that it was him the whole time. Draco internally cursed himself. You’re supposed to be fixing this, not making it worse, he said to himself.

Hello Emily, Great work. I wonder what his plan is! But, Draco will learn that things don't hardly ever go as we decide things will be. Happens to the best of us. hehehe There you go! Already, things aren't going the way he planned. Quick Draco! Look around at everyone gaulking, and see if there's one who is looking satisfied. Like going to be able to give a good report! Sorry, I just thought of that.

Hermione opened the dormitory door to find the room completely empty. She smiled slightly and then pulled all the things she needed from her trunk. The Yule Ball was that night and she was getting ready. She placed her dress robes on the edge of her bed and left for the bathroom. When she returned, drying her hair with her wand, the hangings around Alicia's bed were closed. She stopped in the doorway. They were open before she had left.

''Alicia?'' A spring creaked as a small crack appeared in the curtains. ''Are you okay?'' The grey coloured eye nodded before Alicia shut the curtains again. Hermione didn't move. Alicia sighed.

''I'm fine, Hermione- just get ready for the Ball... Victor will like your robes'' Alicia's voice sounded dead. Hermione walked back over to her bed, staring at Alicia's scarlet hangings and tripping over her trunk.

''Are you sure your okay?'' She asked, picking up a bottle.

''I want to say yes but I can't...'' She said slowly, drawing the hangings back. Her pale eyes were framed by long, lank brown hair.

''What is it? What's wrong?'' Hermione said quickly, dropping the bottle and hurrying over to Alicia.

''I'm a monster...'' She muttered and Hermione shook her head.

''No your not! Why say that, Alicia?''

''Because it's true! I don't even know why I done it! I hate the boy!'' Alicia said, angrily.

''Who? Jamie?'' Hermione asked, frowning. Alicia shook her head.

''Malfoy! I've hated him since first year! Why! I'm such an idiot!'' She said, angry with herself again.

''Malfoy? Alicia, what happened?'' Hermione asked, totally confused.

''I was on my way to see America and Hedwig to send a letter to mum and dad... He walked past me and I ignored him. I sent the letter and was standing there stroking Pig when the door opened. I turned as he came up behind me. At first I was scared to find him that close but then I was angry... Then... I don't know what happened but I wasn't angry anymore- he kissed me... I tried to push him off but somehow I ended up kissing him back!'' Alicia cried and Hermione stared at her.

''Alicia, have you told Jamie?'' She asked eventually and Alicia nodded. ''Well?''

''He just walked away from me...'' She said quietly. ''He completely hates me...''

''Don't dramatize... Alicia, you need to find Jamie! Malfoy's not in his common room! I saw him bulling a couple of first years on my way here!'' Hermione said and Alicia looked up.

''You think he'll go looking for Malfoy?'' She whispered and Hermione nodded. Alicia scrambled off her bed and out of the room. Hermione watched her go and then returned to her own bed to get ready for tonight.

''No, Alicia!'' Jamie shouted, pulling out his wand. Draco done the same and Alicia stepped between them, casting wandless shield charms.

''Yes!'' She said, her brown hair turning black. ''I'm telling you to leave it! Put the wand down and walk away!'' She ordered. Jamie's wand dropped a few inches and Draco seized his chance. He shot a spell towards Jamie but Alicia's shield charms were still in place.

''Coward!'' Draco shouted and Alicia turned to look at him.

''Why don't you go and crawl under a rock? You’re the coward! You have to curse someone for them to like you! No one here needs to that!'' She shouted at him, pulling her wand out of the top of her dress.

''Alicia!'' Harry, Ron and Ginny ran down the stairs and battled their way through the crowd.

''Alicia, look at yourself'' Ginny said and she lowered her wand.

''That's right. Now, choose one of us'' Draco said smirking, flicking his wand slightly. Ginny nudged Harry as Alicia stared at Malfoy.

''He's cursed her!'' Ginny whispered angrily. Harry watched in horror as Alicia took a step towards Draco.

''Jamie! You need to speak to her! Talk to her and she might snap out of it'' Harry said and Jamie nodded.

''Alicia- try to fight it! Come on! Please...'' He shrugged at the others. Ginny rushed towards Alicia.

''Alicia! Think about it! Try and think around the curse! Look at Jamie! Look at his face! He's the one who really loves you!'' Harry and Ron noticed that when Ginny said Jamie's name, Alicia stopped walking.

''Jamie needs you, Alicia! Remember about Jamie!'' Harry shouted.

''Jamie loves you! Jamie! Tell her!'' Ron said, looking at him.

''Now and forever! Remember? Now and forever! That's how long I'll love you, Alicia! Remember when I told you that? Back in first year? Now and forever!'' Alicia turned to stare at him, blinked slowly and then rushed towards him. The crowd round them cheered and clapped while Draco sulked.

''Oh, and one more thing...'' Alicia walked towards Draco, who watched her greedily. She stopped in front of him. ''For cursing me in the Owlery...'' She punched him in the face. ''For kissing me...'' She punched him again and he fell to his knees. ''And for cursing me just now...'' She kicked him in the stomach. ''And lastly, for trying to make me choose between you and Jamie'' She flicked her wand and his left leg became rubber. All the bones had vanished from his entire leg. ''I'm sure Crabbe and Goyle will help you to the Hospital wing... Think yourself lucky that it wasn't anything painful...'' She said, waving at him as she stepped over his leg. Jamie, Harry, Ron and Ginny followed her. ''You three can't come! Ginny and I have to get ready for the ball!'' Alicia said, stopping the three boys on the marble staircase.

''Alright... See you down there... Love you'' Jamie said, kissing her.

''Now and forever'' she replied, smiling as she and Ginny walked up the stairs.

A long one to make up for Emily's tiny one!
