Sorry it's super short... But here's the next part!

Lily and Emily were happy that me and Remus made up. James, of course, was pretty clueless of everything that had happened between me and my friends, but now that we all were finally starting to get along again, I really didn’t care. I glared at Sirius as we all were sitting in the common room. He smiled back, then returned deep into conversation with his friends.
“So….” I muttered breaking the awkward silence.
“Yup.” put in Lily.
Oh geez, this was gonna take some time.
“Um,” said Emily. I looked up at her. She was glancing around the common room uncomfortably, “I uh… I guess I should tell you that I’m sorry. For yelling at you earlier.”
Emily wasn’t exactly the best at apologies.
“It’ s fine,” I said, “I shouldn’t have just ignored you.”
“I mean… I know you’re going through a lot and everything-”
“No Emily, you don’t have to.” I stuttered.
“Right,” she sighed and leaned back in the chair.
I was sitting happily in front of the fire, next to Remus, and chatting excitedly with my friends; Nothing could ruin my mood.

I have the new part! And it's longer!

Every time a day went by, my life seemed to be slipping through my hands. Sometimes I wished I could just sneak into the Ministry and take a time-turner and go back to my first day of Hogwarts; Back to when I met Emily, and Lily, and Remus, and the other Marauders. Back to when my mum was slightly more well.
My mum.
It was already the middle of March. Each of those days I sat on the couch and bit my nails. My friends did their best to make me feel better, but to no success. I was dreading the moment I heard the tapping on the windowsill.
I started to feel really bad. I’ve been such a pain for my friends this year. I’ve caused all of the fights with them. Emily has been such a good friend though. She was there for me nine years ago, when I had run out of the house crying, and she was there for me this year. Lily and I weren’t as close, but we were still great friends.
I always love seeing how happy her and James are together. When I was zoning out in Divination, I thought back to when I met Remus.

Everything was so clear, like it had just happened yesterday.

“See ya, squirt.”
I looked up at my smiling uncle’s face. He hugged me, then gave me my trunk.
“Don’t get into trouble.” he said.
“I won’t,” I replied heading off towards the red train.
“Don’t get sorted into Slytherin!” he called.
I shook my head at him, laughing. I boarded the train and began to look for a compartment.
“Seneca!” Emily opened one of the doors.
I smiled and guided my trunk into the compartment.
“Have a good summer?” she asked.
“Yeah, you?” I responded, trying to lift my trunk onto the rack.
“It was pretty good.”
There was a knock on the glass door. I jumped and my trunk dropped to the floor with a clatter. Sighing, I bent down to pick up some of the contents that had spilled out.
“Nice.” said Emily. I made to kick her but she jumped over my foot. A boy waved through the glass and Emily gestured for him to come in.
“Can we sit here?” asked one of the two boys in front of us.
“Sure.” replied Emily.
Eleven year old Remus smiled down at me.
“Need help with that?” he asked putting his own trunk on the opposite rack.
I blushed, then quickly threw my things into a pile, not even bothering to organize anything. Before I could even pick it up, the boy had placed it on the rack overhead.
“I’m Remus Lupin.” he said looking at us, “and this is Peter.” he waved his hand at the small boy next to him.
“Emily.” said my blonde friend.
“I’m Seneca.” I said lastly.
“Seneca.” he repeated.
I nodded.
“Well, it is nice to meet both of you.”
“You too.”
Emily and I sat down, and the two boys sat opposite of us.
The train left the station and we started talking about our summer, and what we’ve been doing before coming to Hogwarts. Right away I had liked Remus. He was sweet, and was funny.
“So what house do you want to be in?” he asked.
“Ravenclaw maybe… or Gryffindor.” said Emily from beside me.
“I don’t know. I don’t want to be in Slytherin though.” I said, “What about you?”
“Gryffindor.” he said.
“And you, Peter?”
In reply, he shrugged.
“Are you nervous?” The question seemed to be directed to me. Emily noticed this too, and turned to stare out the window.
“A bit.” I replied.
“I doubt you’ll be in Slytherin.” said Remus.
“You think?”
“Positive. Your too nice.”
I smiled.
“Do you have an older sibling? Have they ever told you about their school experiences?”
My smile disappeared, and Emily’s gaze snapped back to the two of us. Finally, I said, “A brother. He was in Ravenclaw. He didn’t tell me much.”
“Maybe you’ll be in Ravenclaw, then. Families are sometimes in the same house.”
I nodded.

“Gryffindor!” yelled the sorting hat.
I saw Emily exhale, smile, then walk proudly over to the table.
I shifted on my feet nervously.
“Remus Lupin!”
Remus, who was standing in front of me, walked up the stool and sat down. He glanced at me before the hat yelled, “Gryffindor!”
All pressure was on me now. I saw Peter get sorted into Gryffindor and along with some others.
Finally, my name was called. I tripped walking up to the stool, then sat down and stared at the stone floor below me. The hat was slipped over my short red hair. I heard it muttering things to itself, then after a minute, it called “Gryffindor.”
I sighed in relief, took off the hat and moved over to the Gryffindor table.
Emily was smiling at me, and Remus muttered, “I told you so.”
“This is Lily Evans.” said Emily, shoving the boys shoulder.
“Hi.” I said to the red head across the table.
“And Lily, this is Seneca.”
The girl smiled at me.
“And these two are Sirius Black and James Potter.”
I glanced at the two boys who were deep in conversation.
“Never mind them,” said Lily.
“Welcome, first years!” said Dumbledore and the Great Hall fell quiet, “And welcome back the rest of you.” he smiled, “I’d like to say---”

Emily elbowed me (hard) in the arm.
I returned back to the real world to see the Divination teacher standing in front of me.
“Sorry Professor,” I muttered, sitting up straiter.

“Seneca, what are you doing?”
“What?”
“Seneca!” Lily grabbed my arm before I dropped the ingredient in my potion. She took it from me, and put it where I couldn’t reach it again.
“You could’ve blown us all up!” stated Emily crossly.
“I’m following the instructions.” I muttered defensively, flipping the page in my Advanced Potions book.
“Yes, but that was the wrong ingredient.”
I sighed and picked up a different liquid.
“You seem so distracted lately.” Emily observed.
“Do I?”
“Yeah,” she replied, “I mean with Divination today and now this-”
“I know,” I mumbled.
“It’s March.” said Lily stirring her potion.
“Miss Evans,”
The three of us stopped talking as Professor Slughorn came over.
“Excellent potion.” he said looking at Lily’s cauldron. “Just excellent… Er, Miss Wilson?”
I looked down at my own Draught of Peace, which had turned a dark shade of red. Emily giggled and the Professor walked over to some Hufflepuff kids.
“I don’t blame you though,” supplied Lily, “You know, with everything-”
“Yeah.” I cut across her.
“We’re here for you.” Emily smiled, “You know that, right?”
“Of course.” I responded.
Remus came over from his table and stood next to me. He held a broken bottle in one hand, and his other was covered in green slime.
“What happened to you?” I asked.
He nodded his head back towards his table, “Sirius,” he muttered. “Uh, Seneca, what is that?” he asked peering at the red goop in my cauldron.
“Dunno.” I replied simply, throwing in a random ingredient.
“Nice,” he chuckled. “Have you seen Professor Slughorn? This stuff is starting to burn.”
“We just saw him. I think he went that way.”
“Thanks.” he said
“Wait, here give me that.” I took the broken bottle from him.
“Right,” he muttered. Then with a smile, he turned to find the teacher.
“Seneca, your potion!”
What was supposed to be the Draught of Peace exploded. I dropped the already broken glass bottle, which smashed to a billion pieces. Red goop flew everywhere, covering the three of us. I tried to wipe some of it off my face as the Slytherins burst into laughter. Remus ran back to my side and after about a million ‘are you ok’s I started to laugh. Emily pulled some of the potion out of her hair and James appeared next to Lily. He was smiling, as were the other marauders.
“What did you do now?” asked Sirius.
“Seneca, you really should drop this class.” laughed Remus.
Professor Slughorn, who was apparently in the corridor talking to another teacher, had came in at the sound of the explosion.
“What happened?” he asked frantically.
“Smarty here has blown up another potion.” supplied Remus.

Great, I thought, Just another class to get distracted in.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lily writing some notes down. Her paper was completely covered in slanted writing while mine was almost completely blank. Emily leaned casually back in her chair; she was watching the teacher, but not really watching. Her eyes looked distant, as if she was deep in thought about something else.
While Professor Binns went on about some kind of war, a small paper airplane landed on my desk.
I turned around in my seat, and Remus smiled back at me. Open it, he mouthed.
I put my quill down and pulled open the folded paper.

Room of Requirement, 6:00

“What’s that?” asked Emily, coming out of her reverie.
“Nothing.” I whispered, putting the paper into my bag.
She shrugged then went back to staring at the ghost who was teaching. I looked back at Remus and nodded.

Here's a tinsey little post!

I happily got through the rest of my day (the potions incident was erased from my head). Since I was to meet Remus in the Room of Requirement around the same time as dinner, I didn’t even bother to go with Emily and Lily to the Great Hall.
I quickly changed out of my robe and into something a little more comfortable. I then met Remus by the entrance to the Room of Requirement.
He smiled when he saw me. “You look nice.” he said.
“Thanks.” I responded, “So why am I here?”
He chuckled, then said “Why don’t you find out.”
I walked into the Room of Requirement.
“Oh my gosh…”
“You like it?” he asked
I stared around at the low-lit room. A roaring fire was in the fireplace on the far wall, and in front of that was a couple of bean bag cushions. A basket was seen next to them, as were a couple of blankets.
“I love it.” I muttered.
“Good.” he guided me over to the cushions.
“Chicken.” I laughed, peering into the basket.
He sat down next to me. “It’s your favorite, right?”
“Yeah.” I found a plate, then pulled out the chicken leg.

After about ten minutes, I pushed the empty basket away and I moved my bean bag closer next to him. He threw one of the blankets over us as I leaned against his side.
“Thanks Remus, for everything.” I said to him.
He put his arm over my shoulders. “Of course,” he said.
I twirled a piece of red hair around my fingers and casually stared at the fire.
“I really like you Seneca.” he said quietly.
I stopped and arched my neck to look up at him. He was looking away, at the mantle above the fireplace. The fire bounced off his eyes, as they remained still.
“I mean… I think I may even love you, Seneca.”
After a moment his eyes flicked over to me, where he caught me staring at him.
“I think I love you too.” I muttered before I could even stop myself.

I think I'll just leave it at that.

Sorry y'all that I haven't been on in a while. I had midterms and my school work was piling up. I try to post more often. This one is really short, but at least it's something.

A smile broke over his face as I said this.
“Really.” he said in a casual tone, but a hint of laughter edged in his voice.
“Yes, really.” I replied, smiling myself.
Remus pulled me closer to his side, the he said, “that’s good to know.”
“What?”
“You haven’t been yourself lately, and I wasn’t quite sure how you would respond when I told you that.” he said.
“Remus, I always liked you, we’ve always been friends and I think just over the years- over this year- my feelings grew even more.”
“So I’ve noticed.” he chuckled.
I pushed him lightly on his arm.
“You’re easy to read.” he said in a quiet voice.
“Am I?” I said, self defense growing in my voice.
“Yes.” he said. “But don’t worry, I like that about you.”
I stared at his face for a moment. He was looking back at me, watching to see what I would do. After a moment, I felt his hand under my chin, tipping my head up towards his.
