Okay, well everyone has been waiting to have deeper conversations about Luna's Bedroom, well post away

What other pieces of furniture is in her room? When did she paint the painting of Ginny, Nevile, Harry, Ron and Hermione? What colour were her walls? Did she have many pictures of her mother?

Luna's room is amazing. I bet that she painted the painting of Ginny, Nevile, Harry, Ron and Hermione after her fourth year at Hogwarts. I see her room as a skyblue color for some reason.

I think the walls are either light blue or light yellow, or both. The room gives a sunny impression, even if the sun doesnt shine outside. Luna likes flowers and always keeps some in a vase beside her mother's portrait. The room is very messy, cluttered with books, old Quibblers and unusual clothes, but yet it is very comfortable.

I imagined her walls to be light blue and I think she would have had it decorated at christmas in HBP. Just a guess lol.

I really liked her room, it sounded so great. Great with the paintings of Harry, Ginny, Hermione, Ron and Neville! I think she painted them after fifth schoolyear, because of the DA and stuff like that.

Her bed cover would have had moons and stars on it and mabye glowing stars on the walls and celing. i think that she would have done the painting of harry and friends during the summer after the 5th book!!!

Luna's room has got to have some yellow in it!!! Bed sheets with a picture of a crumple horned snorcak on it!!!
Pictures of her mum everywhere (Maby 1 of them making gurdy root infusion together)!
Minimalist decor, Chest of draws, wardrobe and a desk... The main feture of the room being her huge 4 poster bed.
I can see her room as being clean but with the effect of a bomb going off in there due to all the color and wacky objects sitting in the corner.

I always saw Luna's room as small and dark blue, with her bed surrounded on all sides by the giant posters. It's a tower room, with a trapdoor by the bed to get in and a tall white painted ceiling that comes to a point. There's nothing else there. Maybe a rug, and pictures of her mom hidden away somewhere for only herself to see. I have no idea when she put up the posters, in my mind that is the one thing I can't figure out.

Me I see Luna's bedroom as a soft blue or yellow those are such cheerful colors and I think Luna would love them. I think Luna painted that picture of the trio and Neville after her fourth year when she went home for the summer. I think they were the first people that didn't treat Luna like a crazy person and she bonded with them like glue. I can see lots of flowers and pictures of her mother in her room. I can see lots of shelves with knickknacks and the such all over the place. I think her bedroom is just like a real serene and special place for her you know.

Yeah, I know. I agree with your thoughts about her room, but here's an interesting question. What happened to it after the seventh book when her house was blown up by the Erumpet horn? Being a wizard, did her father repair it? And if he didn't repair it did Luna? Could they even repair it? Did the trio help them repair their house maybe?

Well..according to the book:
"Luna decorated her bedroom ceiling with five beautifully painted faces: Harry Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville.'"

There was a large photograph bwith her and her mother on it beside the bed. There is a pale blue carpet. It also mentiones a bed and wardrobe.
I imagined her room as a large (but not too large) room. Lightblue walls. Not to much furniture in it.

I like this topic! I think Luna painted the picture of Harry, Ron, Hermion, Neville, Ginny, and her after the fight at the Ministry in OotP. I think that was the point where they all became such a tight knot of friends. It's quite manageable, seeing as they all faced death, and escaped it, together.
I see her carpet and walls to be some shade of blue. (I can't remember if it says what color the carpet is.)
And, like Harry, there's probably posters of her house flags and whatnot. She probably has a box with every edition of The Quibbler. And she probably has sketches of Wrackspurts and Plimpies. And she probably has clippings from the Daily Prophet that entail her or the others.

I never thought of those. But yes, they seem very likely. I love the sketches ideas.

I like the idea of sketches too..Maybe she has like, a large table with all kind of creative stuff on it, like paint etc.

I also like that idea. It shows that Luna was a person with hidden artist ability inside. She's a little weird for other people but her bedroom reflects a lot of her, the real Luna. Perhaps what you've said about the tables of creative creatures was right Evanna. Ther might have been pictures of different creatures in there, from pictures to sketches to paintings perhaps sculptures..

And things like "Rowena Ravenclaw's crown"

I love the painting on her ceiling of her friends, that just shows how much the DA meant to her.
