Welcome to the lake, bound to be your future home to get away from the hassles of the school life. Extending for as far as the eye can see, the lake boasts a beautiful watery surface that allows the sun to sparkle off it in the day time and for the moon to shimmer beautifully during the night. At the shoreline, there’s plenty of grass to take a seat upon and some times to lie under. The breeze off the lake is usually pretty good for a cooling down during the day.
Come on down alone or bring a friend. Bring your homework with you and work on it here or throw it into the water (but you didn’t get that from me!). Hey, you might even get lucky and spot the beloved Giant Squid, who from time to time may be caught waving his tentacles above the surface. Meet friends, make friends, do or lose homework…the list of things to do at the lake extends of miles! Enjoy the space!
Oh, and make sure you respect the grass and the dirt. Mr. Masterson will not be pleased if he has to come after you. He’s armed with acorns and he’s not afraid to use them.

Ella sat herself at the edge of the pretty lake. Glazed with just a hint of ice, Ella could see the cold fumes erupting from the end. Smiling to herself, she looked around for someone to speak with.

Ginny sat under a tree at the edge of the lake...She needed to calm down a bit after a long day...She was lost in her thoughts as she was staring at the lake...''wow!i should come here more often''she thought and she threw a small rock at the lake...She watched the small circles as the rock reached the bottom of the lake...

Ella smiled as she saw the rock create circles in the lake. She grinned at the girl.

"Could you teach me how to do that?" Ella asked politely.

Ginny jumped as she heard a voice behind her....''oh yeah!Of course!''she took a rock''You just have to make sure that the rock is flat and you throw it like that''and threw the rock at the lake...''I'm Ginny by the way.Firstie, and you?''

Ella cocked her head to the side as the rock bounced. "I've tried so much.. it never works," she laughed.

"I'm Ella," she explained, picking up a rock of her own, "Firstaaayyy!"

Throwing the rock, it outlined the lake and skipped a couple times. "Oh, amazing! I did it!" That girl had taught her more in a minute, compared to her brother Hunter, who hadn't managed to teach her in four years. She rolled her eyes at thought.

"So, what house are you in?" Ella asked, hoping it to be Gryffiee.

''Wow!You did it!Well Done!''Ginny said as she watched the rock.''I'm in Gryffindor!my whole family was there for generations...and you?''

"Fantastic!" Ella exclaimed, "Me too!"

"And guess what?" she said, excited with her new friend, "Have you heard of Seamus Finnigan? I'm a late descendant of him," she said proudly.

''Really?!wow!that's great!Remember when i told you my family was here for generations?I'm a late descendant of Harry and Ginny Potter...''she said proudly and a bit embarassed too''But you're the first to know that.I don't want anyone else to find out''

Ella's mouth hung open. She was nothing compared to that.

"Uh, wow!" she said, closing her mouth once she realized it was still open. "Oh, cross my heart. Secrets' safe with meehh!"

''Oh thank you!''she said relieved''i just want to make friends because of the true me, not because of my family''and she looked down...

"Oh, of course," Ella smiled softly, "I understand."

They both gazed at the calm water for a while.

''So do you like it here?''Ginny asked with a smile

"Yeah, I guess," Ella said, "I mean, I don't see anything I might not like... perhaps the classes, though," she giggled.

''Yeah i totally agree with you!''she said.''Do you have brother or sister?''

"One brother," she sighed, "Cursed to have him."

Ella rolled her eyes.

"His name is Hunter; he's already graduated, thank God. Can you believe how lucky I am to have him exactly seven years older than I am? Guess that's... magic." she finished with a grin.

"What about you?" she asked curiously.

''Well i have an older brother,George.He's already graduated too!He's training to be an Auror''she rolled her eyes''I can understand why you feel cursed to have him!I feel exactly the same''she said as she made a funny expression with her face

Ella scoffed. "Yeah," she said, not knowing what else to say, "Cursed."

Ella then observed Ginny's face. "You okay?" she asked.

''Yeah..it's just the last time we spoke was 5 months ago and we had a fight...a huge one''she felt weird

Laura wandered down to what was definately her favourite place in Hogwarts. The lake was so beautiful, and open, and she could come here and lose herself. Which was exactly what she wanted to do. Lose herself. Run away from what she knew. And it wasn't hard.

Flopping down at the waters edge, Laura crossed her legs and rand some strands of grass through her fingers. She looked around and noticed she was only the third person down there, and the thought made her smile. Turning her head away from what she was sure where two Firsties, Laura grinned as she remembered her first days, and how excite she had been.

Casting the grass into the water, Laura watched at it floated away from her, into the distance. She wished she could do that sometimes. Float away. Or let her memories, at the very least.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Ella said quietly.

"My brother and I have been having a prank war," she grinned, then instantly regretted it. She didn't want to remind Ginny of anything more about her brother.

Warren walked to the lake. There he found two younger girls sitting around the lake. Warren walked over to the lake, picked up a stone, and threw it across the water making it skip, watching the ripples in the lake.
' sweet ' he said smirking to himself.
Warren impressed himself a lot. His older brother taught him how to throw stones into water and make it skip, before he died. He had never been able to do this before. He thought to himself. ' i've made Harrison proud. ' He smiled, phyiscally upset thinking about Harrions death.

''It's ok!you can speak openly with me...I'll try to talk to him at Christmas...We're not babies anymore..''she said''You said a prank war?oh gosh used to do that with George..And who wins?''she asked..

Alex was skipping happily around Hogwarts, despite the fact that she missed her twin dreadfully, she was still having fun. Sometimes being alone could be fun.. Sometimes..

As she walked outside, she noticed Warren at the edge of the Lake and she smiled and ran happily toward him.. "Heyy.." She said as she tackled him in a hug from behind.. "How are you liking Hogwarts so far?" She asked her arms still around his waist.

Warren looked down to see Alex's arms around his waist. He knew it could be only one person! his bestest friend of all time, Alex! ''Hey Alex, i love Hogwarts its amazing!'' he said smiling to her. ''He put his arms around Alex's waist also. '' How about you? '' he asked.
