 One of Mr. Masterson's hut windows is wide open, and perched on the ledge is a nice little radio. The radio can be heard playing various types of music as you walk on by, but occasionally you here a mysterious voice explaining the very important rules of the school grounds. Turn up the volume and listen carefully! These could make or break your enjoyment of the school grounds:
IC (in character);
• Absolutely no fighting. It doesn’t matter if Jimmy started it by poking your head or that Bob stole the last acorn; do not get into a fight. This includes BOTH physical (fists, kicking, head butting, throwing something, etc…) and magical (wands).
• No PDA. This includes snogging, sitting in laps, or just plain inappropriate forms of affection. (Please keep in mind that we are a family friendly site, meaning that there are children playing. Think smart, guys.) Quick pecks on the cheek are fine, but don’t push it, people.
• Respect the grounds and treat it like it was worth a hundred million galleons. I’m not kidding; Mr. Masterson will come for you if you are caught doing anything inappropriate to his beloved grounds. Especially the dirt. Do not mess with the dirt.
• Be mindful of the Whomping Willow. Exercise extra care if you choose to be around it and please do keep in mind that the groundskeeper will not be held liable for your actions. It’s probably best if you remain a good distance away.
• For the love of all things good; do NOT enter the Forbidden Forest. Seriously, it’s FORBIDDEN for a reason. There ain’t no cute, furry rabbits in there my friends. This is your warning; we will not be held responsible if you choose to ignore this warning and go in anyway. Any injuries sustained are the cause of your actions. You have been warned.
• Do not disrespect any forms of authority on these grounds. The things that Mr. Masterson, other staff members, and prefects say on these grounds are LAW. Listen, obey, and do not argue!
o If, however, there’s been something done or said by the prefect that you don’t think is fair, do not fight back! Send me a PM explaining the situation and I will look into it and see what happened. I will, hopefully, be able to fix the problem and we’ll all be happy.
• If any other situations arise on the grounds, please come to my hut and get me. Also, in OOC, if you see me online, but not exactly watching the grounds, please send me a PM or snag me on MSN. I’ll get over as fast as I can to fix whatever is going on.
• And lastly, here are Mr. Masterson’s words of advice: Be one with the acorn. BE the acorn. (oh, and if you do this: make sure you’ve got a really good hiding spot from the squirrels. They’ll go rawr and try to eat you. No joke.)
OOC (out of character;
• All SS board rules apply to every inch of the grounds. Therefore, your posts are not allowed to contain topics or make sexual references, swearing, suicide, snogging, etc.
• Please try to keep all OOC comments to a minimum. The occasional one is okay, but if all you’re doing is saying “goodnight” and so on, then we’d rather you use the PM system. It’s there for a reason, please use it.
• No crazy special powers. While they may be cool and all, they aren’t canon towards the books. Things such as an animagus would fall under this category; tis VERY rare for a student to be able to have this ability. Unsure of what powers would be allowed or if you can have a power? PM Cassirin for confirmation.
• Playing more than one character is a no no; it goes against the School RPG rules. Also, creating other threads on the grounds is forbidden. I will eat you if you do; the food in my stomach tends to get a little lonely.
• In certain situations where your character is in a life-threatening situation, you will be (if need be) placed in the deceased usergroup. Wizards aren’t Superman you know.
• PLEASE be respectful to yourself, to your peers, and the staff members. RP on the grounds responsibly. This ensures that the grounds remain fun for every level of RPer and also for your self.
• Dudes, dudettes, and possible furry creatures: I want you to go out there and have fun!! WOO.
"This concludes today's review of the ground rules. Tune in tomorrow to find out the consequences of messing with a squirrel's acorn! It's a total must hear! Until then, this is the mysterious voice in a box signing off..."

This is not an RP thread. The Rules thread is typically a place meant for any body who has any questions they want to clarify. Not to blow up my creations. Also, you guys may be over reacting to the whole box thing:

| That implies that you need to walk past it to hear it. Like, a few meters distance between you and the box. Not hundreds of yards. So, can we leave my box alone? I'll love you. Forever. I swear. Not kidding. -smiles-
Edit: And plus, as every great radio goes: There's an OFF switch. It's amazing, you should try that instead of blowing it up. =P AND the thing plays music more than chit-chats, so yeah.

I feel the need to put something in nice big bold words.
No OOC comments.
Seriously, I'm seeing WAY too many of them and there for things that need not be in an OOC. We have a PM system for you guys, please use it! It's not there just to look pretty, it has a purpose. OOC is not a place to be saying "I have to go now! Bye!". Naw naw. It's for like when...there's MASS confusion or there's something important you need to get through to people and PMing each person individually is like...mind-bogglingly intense.
If you absolutely neeeed to express your exit in an OOC comment, then please you the "title" area in the "reply to post" section. I used to move your comments there, but now, the stay has been over extended and I'm not even bothering to do it anymore. I see it, I delete it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Just a reminder (I did make a rule about this);
