SPOILER!!: LOTR elf-fairy

Azura nodded as he spoke. "Mmmm, but not the sort of Faires we have around here. A Fairy.." Like in the old Shakespearean plays.. Titania, Oberon.. That sort of thing. She liked to imagine that at least. Who knew what the truth was! She grinned a little and shrugged her little shoulders a bit. "I don't know if you would call me Super magical, I'm pretty good at charms though." She said with a bit of a shrug as she looked up at him.. only to blush a little as he spoke..

"Well, people DO like my eyes, but.. I don't have a..umm.. mate. Just lots of friends." She said softly, her mind going to Jace for a moment.. Mmm, just a friend..Her heart twisted ever so slightly, but she bit her lip for a moment and let it go.. Jace was just her friend.. and she needed to get over him, to keep him that way.

Her thoughts were pulled from the half Japanese boy and Cyprian curtsied before her and she blushed a bit more! She had never had anyone do that to her before! "Well, I shall see what I can come up with, but I promise you it won't be to horrible." A thought instantly sprang to her mind..

Holy Fwoopers Azura.. what EVEN? She thought to herself as she blinked her eyes and then looked back at Cyprian.. a little smile on her lips..

Before she pulled herself from her obviously silly thoughts and smiled as he spoke of his sister.. "I might have seen her before? And maybe the cat?" She had seen several cats around the common room, but usually the only one who came to her was Effie, Garetth's kitty. She took to sleeping on her feet lately..

Ahh.. A third year Slythein.. Azura had to hold back a giggle as he spoke. "I see, though.. How are you being ambition and sly right now?" She asked him as she gave him another warm smile, she really hadn't had this much fun talking to someone in quite awhile!

A sudden shock went through Cyprian. "Uh oh. . ." he whispered, "Don't get mad, okay? (When was that ever a good suggestion?) But. . . urm. . . How do I say this gently. . . Neith'swandhassomeofyourkinsmeninit." Hopefully she wasn't to saddened by the death and diswinging (another new word) of some of her fairy-family members. Her wand only had three wings in, after all.

He bowed his head for a second, as if saying a silent prayer to Merlin. "I'm truly very sorry for your loss." He really was. . . "At least they make for some good Charms-magic." That should cheer her up, she HAD said that she was good in Charms. Cyprian, you're such a genius.

Oh, so she didn't have a mate. Useful information. . . needed for urm. . . research, yes of course! 'Research' Wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

"Ah yes! I live to serve, my lady." he said with a grin, this was kinda fun. . . "Shall I slay a Fire-crab and bring you its hide? Or shall I defend my lady sweet's honor?" Or shall I crush your suitors under mine heel? (I should totally become an actor)

. . . his sister? Oh yeah! He had gotten a little *ahem* distracted by her face-muscles. . . they were really pretty face-muscles. . .

"Neith usually keeps to herself, I bet she spends all of her time in that Paint-Place in your Common-Room. She is, after all, a person who habitually practises a specified reprehensible activity. Which is painting, in her case." Neith was weird like that. "As for that horrid cat. . . If you've ever encountered him, he's probably stolen your soul. The thing is a demon. . . " Insert shudder here.

Was she. . . behaving as though romantically attracted to someone, but playfully rather than with serious intentions? (Flirting) She must have been! He put on his best Slytherin-smirk and attempted to repeat her advances. "I am, hopefully with success, trying to court a beautiful Forest-Fairy Veela-girl." he was so almost positive that he was doing the 'flirting' correctly, "And I was wondering, with ambition, whether or not said Veela-girl would like to accompany me sometime on a 'date' of some sort."

Wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

Azura had to hold back a smile as he said that his sister's wand had fairy wings in it. He was so serious about it as well, and she had to bit her lower lip in order to not just burst into giggles.. "Oh.. I'm not mad..These things happen sometimes.." She said with a nod, still trying to hold in her laughter.

"Oh thank you.." Azura said with a bit of a "royal" head bow, but at his next words, she couldn't help but burst into giggles! This Cyrprian! She didn't think she had laughed this much in ages! Oh Fwoopers it felt good to let it all out! "Yes! They come in quite handy for charms.." She said with a warm smile as she finally calmed down.. Ohh goodness, he was so amusing and fun to be around!

He lived to serve her? "Hmmm, Brave Knight, what should I have you do?" She asked as he started to speak more.. Firecrabs? Hahah!

"How about you defend my heart and make sure it doesn't get broken? That shall be the service I request of you." She said as she gave him another royal head bow.. but despite the teasing in her voice, there was a hint of truth to her words.. Her heart needed to be protected, for it had been broken. Even though Jace hadn't meant too and she didn't blame him one bit for not liking her back.. It still hurt.

Azura nodded as he spoke about his sister and she smiled, "Well, I shall try and look her up next time I see her.. and I'll manage to avoid her cat." She said with a soft laugh.. It really must have been terrible for Cyprian to have a reaction like that..

She thought at least..

And then his next words had her purple eyes wide as she looked at him.. Court her?? Oh.. He must be playing! Of course! They were still playing the Princess and the Knight in seemed.. Right? It HAD to be? She was about to open her mouth to answer when his next sentence had her heart pounding and feeling slightly fluttery inside..

Did.. he.. just.. ask her out?

Azura looked at Cyprian.. her eyes wide as she pondered what to say..

But what about Jace? She asked herself as she bit her lip a little

What ABOUT him? He was her friend.. and just that. And she needed to just be his friend. Sure she had ideas of them growing up and Jace finally coming to like her.. But.. She couldn't put something like that on him! She couldn't secretly long after him, while trying her hardest to be the girl he liked.. She couldn't do that. It wasn't fair to him.

She needed to be his friend and nothing more. He would probably be so relieved when she told him she didn't like him anymore..

That thought twisted her heart.. but gave her clarity...To say what she was going to say next.

"Said Veela-girl, would love to accompany you on a date of some sort.. sometime." She said with a warm smile back at him.

Phew! At least Azura didn't burst out in tears, worse, hit him with a sharp blow or smack, especially with the open hand or with something flat. (AKA a Slap)
"I'm glad to see that the death of your miniature kinsmen hasn't affected you that harshly." Maybe they were just distant aunts or uncles?

Merlin, her laugh in a silly, often high-pitched way, especially with short, repeated gasps and titters, as from juvenile or ill-concealed amusement (giggles) were adorable and strangely pleasing.

"Anything, fair lady!" he would even write her a soliloquy if she wished it, "I shan't fail you!" Unless it involved eating beets, or taking Arithmancy. He would fail so hard if it was either of those things.

Defend her heart? That seemed like a small enough task. Who would want to hurt her? This beautiful princess. . . he couldn't imagine those purple eyes weeping in sorrow. Nether-the-less, he went to his knee, bowed his head and accepted this task. "I shall defend mine lady's fragile blood-organ from anymore pain. From this day forth, I swear to hunt down and murder damage any prick witless enough to harm my Princess. Even if it were I that was said prick." And he swore it.

He clambered back to his feet, a solemn look on his face. "Who do I need to damage first, my lady? Who was it that broke your heart?" He wasn't going to hurt the guy, a lot. And if it was like a fourth year. . . well. . . maybe?

He grinned at her answer. He hadn't expected her to say yes. Oh Merlin. . . a date with the gorgeous Fairy-Princess that had entrusted her heart into his care. . . Wow. He was going to have to get a nice suit. . . and a nice place. . .

"Great! I mean umm. . . sure, gurllllllll." Was that how guys flirted? Who even knew? "I can't wait. . . for our romantic appointment/engagement." He was very enthusiastic and eager. Like really.

Oh my gosh! He was so adorable, Az couldn't even! She had to giggle again as he spoke of her "families" demise. "It is really okay, honestly. I'm perfectly fine. " She said as she bit her lip a little to keep from giggling more. She hasn't felt this light and happy in awhile.

She gasped softly as he went down on one knee and her purple eyes went slightly wide as Cyprian bowed his head to her! Fwoopers! It felt like she was an actual Princess! Her heart was pounding though as he spoke and she felt a blush form at her face as he spoke again.

She believed him too. He was so solemn.. Azura's head tilted a little as she looked down at him, and although she didn't seem to know it.. Part of her cracked heart was patched up and delivered into Cyprian's care. "Thank you my fair knight! Your Princess appreciates this more than you know. "

She watched as he got up and spoke..

"Well there is someone, but please don't damage him. We've dealt with the situation.." It just still hurt.. Though right now here with Cyprian.. Her pain was easing slightly..

She giggled at him as he spoke.. "I can't wait either actually! " She said as she grinned and then.. Because she couldn't help herself.. She moved into to hug him tightly..

She really hoped he wouldn't have to be on the do not hug list!

Jenna had originally planned on staying at Hogwarts while most of the school went down to Hogsmeade - what better way to be alone than when most of the students were actually away, after all - but she was in need of some new quills and parchment. So, reluctantly, she headed down to the quill shop in Hogsmeade. Maybe if she got her things quickly, she could head back and continue to isolate herself enjoy the quiet at school. The creatures barn in particular would be nice today since it might actually be just her and the creatures for once, which was how she liked it best.

She entered the shop - and paused when she suddenly noticed something. Or, actually, somethings.

There were cats walking around.

Oh Merlin, this was actually better than expected! Look at how cute they were! D'awww.

Maybe she wouldn't rush out of the shop too quickly now.

Bella browsed the shelves. She'd been going through an abnormal amount of ink and parchment with all her extra studies. Now was the time to refill the stash.

Some fragrance inks sounded lovely. As did glitter ones. She may be astute now, but nothing beat taking notes with a hint of glitter.

She continued browsing the inventory before holding up some inks to examine them. Oooh. Pretty.

Unfortunately no one had time to come shopping to Hogsmeade with Kelly...cause everyone was busy with their boyfriends.Which was kinda said, cause it would have been nice to come here with Bastien too...but things were they way they were. So the blonde decided to go shopping on her own. She was in desperate need for several things from Scrivenshaft's.


List in hand she browsed the shelves for the things she needed....or more /wanted/. Just as she was about to grab one of those glitter inks she noticed a blonde girl comparing inks.


Oh my god! IT WAS BELLA!!


"That's a really pretty one, good choice", she said as she approached her friend.

Deborah didn't need to think twice before stepping into this Quill Shop. Quill Shops were her favourite, no matter where she went. Okay, some were way better than others, but if there were quills, ink pots and parchment available to purchase, she was happy.

Most of the time, at least.

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, the Ravenclaw breathed in the lovely parchment-scented air and smiled. This was heaven!

Bella turned around and grinned. IT WAS KELLY! Now that she thought about it, she really should have invited the older girl to go shopping with her. It must have been hard to have Bastien so far away on Hogsmeade weekends.

"Thanks. I think I'm going to get it. See any that you like?"

She saw a girl...breathing deeeeeeeeply right in front of the doorway of the shop. Hmph. "You know, you could breathe over there...and then people could get through here! Don't want anyone getting mad at you--" Astrea smiled because she wasn't TRYING to be ugly or mean or RUDE, she was trying to help, y'see?

Customers from Hogwarts had arrived at her shop meaning he needed to see if any of them wanted any help. Edina picked up one of the many cats that lurked around her shop and that were ever so watchful for rodents. There was one thing this plump shopkeeper could boast of and that was her precious shop having no rodents of any kind.

In a very cat-like and quiet way Edina sidled up beside the girl looking at her kitties. “My dear. Do you like cats?’’ Edina stroked the pure white cat’s head she was holding. “You can say hello to this one. Her name is Truffles. Careful now. She likes to be handled gently.’’ Such a sweet cat Truffles was. “Would you want to hold onto her for a while?''

There was a cat out in the street.

Henry was a big fan of cats, and in creatures in general, and he became rather distracted following it, so much so that he became separated from his friends. He followed it to the door of Scrivenshaft's where the feline promptly began scratching at the door.

"I'm not sure if you're allowed in there, kitty," he said, giving the friendly cat a scratch behind the ears before picking him up. Maybe his owner was inside. And now that he thought about it, the thirteen year old remembered that the shopkeeper kept a bunch of cats inside. She probably wouldn't mind, or it might even belong to her.

Carrying the purring cat into the store, Henry headed towards the first people he saw, which happened to be the shopkeeper and a girl he'd guess to be a couple years older than him. "Hey," he smiled, trying to get their attention. "Either of you lose a cat? I found this little guy outside wanting to get in."

It was usually better to wait for a cat to come to you rather than force them to let you near them, so Jenna remained where she was, watching them intently and not noticing the woman appear next to her until she spoke.

"Oh! Oh, yes, I love cats," she replied, her eyes lighting up when she saw the cat in the shopkeeper's arms. "I love animals in general really." Cats were certainly among her favorites though. And Truffles seemed like an absolute sweetheart. "Hello, Truffles," she greeted the cat, smiling and gently scratching Truffles' head. Her attention returned to the woman at what she offered next though, and her smile widened. "I would love to hold her!"

This was easily becoming her favorite shop in Hogsmeade. More shops ought to have adorable animals hanging around.

And then a younger boy appeared, also holding a cat from outside. She smiled and shook her head. "I haven't lost one. Is he yours?" She looked back at the shopkeeper.

"Wonderful. I am always suspicious of anyone who dislikes cats. Those are shifty persons.'' Edina had lowered her voice while saying this. Truffles meowed in her arms when scratched. "I can trust you. Truffles can trust you. All my cats can trust you.'' The snow white kitty was handed over as the cat meowed even more and tried to paw at the girl's nose.

Edina decided she would go see what her other kitties and customers were up to and if her customers needed any help. She got side tracked by another one of her kitties and a boy. "Now now. Have you been wandering outside again, Tinker?'' Edina gave a tinkling laugh. "Yes he is one of mine. Truffles and Tinker are actually best friends. Do you like cats too, young man?''

Kelly smiled at her younger friend and twirled one of those colour changing quills between her fingers. Whenever she was bored in school she had practiced how to do this properly. Half things weren't ....well her thing. She liked to give 100%. " With everything. "Oh my god loads to be honest. I have a list of things i want to buy."

The slytherin really was into stationary. It was important fr her mood boards and it looked pretty. "What about you?Anything special in mind o are you just browsing?" She was really glad that she had found a friend to do some shopping with. It was double the fun.

Fiyero was excited to be in Hogsmeade today. He didn't get to come here very often with his mom since Diagon Alley was much closer to home, and this was his first trip as a Hogwarts student. He was especially glad that the rumor his cousin told him about first years not getting to go hadn't been true! He blinked a few times, peering inside Scrivenshaft's. Whoa... look at all the kitties! Was this a quill shop with a bunch of cats running around or a cat shop with lots of writing supplies piled up?

He definitely needed some new quills. All but one of the ones he had at the start of the term were now lost or broken. He must go through quills faster than anyone else at Hogwarts! After perusing the display for a few minutes, he decided to get an everlasting quill... or three. Here's hoping these quills would live up to their name! As he picked up a quill, the cat who had been sitting nonchalantly on the shelf batted at it; he laughed. That's not a toy, crazy cat!

Fiyero's blond head whipped around suddenly as something on the shelf behind him caught his eye. Wait, was that a Gryffindor scrapbook? He could use one of those! He was running out of places to put all the photos he'd taken since the start of the term. He started to pick up a scrapbook, only to find another cat, this time a particularly fat one, sleeping on top of the stack. "Wake up, kitty!" he said. "I need one of those..."

The cat just blinked at him a couple of times before flopping onto its back with an expectant meow. This cat must be a real ham, Fiyero thought, just like mom's. Was he allowed to pet the cats? He assumed so since he'd seen other people doing it. He gave the cat a little tickle under its chin, and it purred contentedly.

Boy, Ariel would love this shop! Fiyero's thoughts turned to his little sister. It was a shame she wasn't here... she loved cats, and she'd been so disappointed when he left for Hogwarts without her. An idea suddenly occurred to him. If Ariel couldn't come to the cats, maybe there was a way the cats could come to Ariel! With one hand still on the cat he was petting, he waved to the shopkeeper. "Miss Shopkeeper?" he said, a little embarassed that he didn't know her name. "Would it be alright if I take a few photos of the cats?" He held up his camera. "It's for my sister... she loves cats and doesn't get to come to Hogsmeade very often." He really hoped she'd say yes!

The cat in his arms, though purring and rather complacent just a moment before, got very squirmy all of a sudden and threatened to jump. Henry would have put him down, but he wanted to make sure he was safe first, and that it was okay for him to be in this store.

The girl he had approached said that the cat didn't belong to her so he next looked to the shopkeeper as the girl then posed the question to her. And she seemed to know this cat as she called him by name. "Tinker? Oh good, I'd hate for a cat to be lost." He let Tinker jump out of his arms and go over to the girl and weave through her legs. "I think he likes you," he said with a chuckle, smiling at the girl.

Henry glanced back at the shopkeeper lady as she addressed him. "Oh, yeah, I love cats. I have a kneazle." And they were just like cats.

"All my beauties love to stay indoors or would wander around then come back in but not my Tinker. He's different. He likes being outside and more often than not he would get lost.'' Edina had long told herself to keep a closer eye on him but he had slipped away today. "I have a shrewd suspicion he is overly fond of humans so when it gets quiet in the shop he gets away.'' Edina laughed throatily as the cat moved for the girl. "I had a kneazle,'' the old woman continued. "She died. I never did find out how. One night he was frisking about and the next morning...'' Tears welled up in Edina's eyes. The kneazle was still missed.



Edina made her way over to the other customer. She was careful not to trip over her babies that were meowing on the floor. "Why, I do think my babies would like that, young man. You can certainly take as many as you like.'' Edina appreciated him asking first. "I must warn you some of them do not like flashes. I once had another customer who tried taking their pictures and she got scratched. The one you're petting likes to be in the limelight so she's safe to take a picture of.''

Jenna nodded. "Agreed." People who didn't like cats - or animals in general really - weren't to be trusted. It just wasn't right. And her smiled widened when the woman said she and her cats trusted her. It felt like the highest honor to be trusted by animals and someone who clearly cared very much for them.

She held Truffles carefully and laughed a little as the adorable kitty tried to paw at her nose. "Having fun?"

And thankfully, it appeared the cat the boy had found did indeed belong to the shopkeeper. And now the cat was around her legs. D'aww. "I like him too." And she liked this boy too. He seemed like a good kid, taking care of Tinker like that.

Her heart broke when the shopkeeper mentioned her kneazle though. "I'm so sorry for your loss." She knew how hard it was when a beloved pet passed away. It felt just as devastating as losing a human loved one.
