Looking like a rabid animal as he stepped inside, although he would have preferred the comparison of a Klingon on the battlefield, the astronomer's blue eyes darted around the shop and tried not to get distracted by the display of smart looking socks to his right. But it was in their best interest not to linger on the topic in case it DID become more obvious that they were talking about the merchandise here.
Airey followed Medea, his eyes still wandering over towards the socks now and again - which WOULD make for a perfectly fine onesie for Pebbles when one thought about it - only to have his undivided attention on the garment that Medea was holding up.
A garment that certainly was NOT a pair of socks.

Airey gave a cautious look down at the rock in his hands. "I am not sure I would choose the adjective tiny...per say," he said mostly to himself. Although he supposed that she was about the same weight as some tiny humans. Not that he had ever actually held one, just looked. And while he had a certain ease around them in certain situations - like Hecate's little one at the feast several years ago - in this light, well, there was an undertone here.
Or maybe he was just creating it. All in his head?
Medea did seem to be entirely focused on Pebbles....
"We could just get a few pairs of those woolly socks," he suggested. "Multi purposeful. I can use them. You can use them. Pebbles can use them like a onesie!"
Or maybe he WASN'T making up the subliminal messaging coming from Medea's actions.

Having money to buy things was weird. She was so use to stealing stuff that feeling the money in her pocket was just not usual. She felt she should be use to it by now. Since living with Joe she hadn't had to steal anything, though she did a time or two for the fun of it. She loved the thrill.
Today though she was just looking for now. If she felt like swiping something she might. She could just as easily take it up to the counter and buy it. Depending on the mood that hit her at the moment in time. Walking around she searched for anything that caught her eyes.
Where was the fashion things. All these robes were just so last season.

Okay so the wedding was ages away but she'd promised Angie she'd look at dress robes before then so they could discuss what she liked and why had Maddie agreed to be a maid of honor, again? Oh right, because it meant everything to Benny and that meant it meaning something to her, too. Caring about people was exhausting.
Adjusting the bag on her shoulder, the brunette navigated her way through the shop, avoiding fabrics and colors that made her nose wrinkle. Was black an acceptable choice for occasions like this? Black was classic.

Something Kyroh didn't miss at ALL was that awkward growing out of your clothes stage. One day you went out, bought a cool robe that you liked and then two weeks later it didnt even fit! It was beyond frustrating. But seeing as how he was DONE with that, the sixth year had no reason at all to enter a clothing store any time soon. No reason at all.

He followed his accomplice into Gladrags, ducking his head to mask the few noticeable features he had. Best to be thorough when the target of their efforts was so observant, no? The sixth year made a few discreet turns through the aisles, bringing them right at the heels of their third musketeer. Glancing at Kyroh again, he mouthed a count to three, then suddenly grabbed Maddie from behind.
"Excuse me, miss. You're in my way." Dima nicked the dress robes she'd been looking at, holding them up against himself as a model for his roommate.
"What d'you think? I'd say I need shorter. Definitely have the legs for it." He did. Honest.

The small squeak of surprise she'd given at being accosted was enough to stain her cheeks pink and she turned, wand in hand, to shake her head at the culprit. Culprits, actually. "I could hex those legs clean off, Dmitriy Toussaint," She said matter-of-factly as she reached for the dress robes he'd stolen from her grasp. "And yours, Freckles. Was this your idea?" She raised her eyebrows slightly, regarding them both. Sneaking up on Maddies was terribly dangerous business, didn't they know?
"But I suppose now that you're both here, I'll let you help me." Lucky them. Holding the robes up to herself, she looked down thoughtfully. "What do you know about dress robes?"
Fashion was one of Kitty's absolute favorite things ever, so of course this store and the salon were her favorites. Kitty found a red scarf and tried it on. Not only did it fit perfectly - it also looked great. After looking through all the items for about an hour she counted out ten sickles and approached the counter to pay.

Operation! Let's go scare and bug Maddie by showing her our undivided attention and love, was a go! Forcing back a laugh the minute his roommate grabbed hold of the dress, Kyroh stood up proper. "Oh definitely shorter!"
You know, if Maddie let him keep his legs. Hahaha.
Kyroh's lip curled upwards as he gazed over at Maddie. "My idea? My only idea is that Dima probably needs some matching heels with that dress. I mean flats might work, but I was without a doubt thinking pumps." His height might be a problem but if he knew how to wear the shoes with confidence, no one would notice that.
"You wear them for special events and they are pretty and fancy." Bam. All he knew about dress robes.

I mean flats might work, but I was without a doubt thinking pumps." His height might be a problem but if he knew how to wear the shoes with confidence, no one would notice that.
"You wear them for special events and they are pretty and fancy." Bam. All he knew about dress robes.
"I'd like to see you try." He provided Maddie with his signature cheeky grin, letting her take the dress robes. "I dunno. Heels seem more your style, Freckles." Really. Kyroh could go ahead and sport those if he liked, but Dima was certainly good without them.
As for his dress robes knowledge? "You can get them in different colors. And they sell them here."
Nailed that, he did.

Dima's cheeky grin received a nose wrinkle in return and though it was hard, she was able to fight the grin that was threatening to make an appearance. "Only I can call him Freckles, Dmitriy. Get your own nickname." She gave him a gentle shove and then smiled at Kyroh. "Heels really would do wonders to show off those legs." But sadly, they still wouldn't look as good as hers. Hers were the best.
So....she officially was on her own with this dress robe thing as her best friends knew just as much as she did about them and that wasn't very much at all. Frowning slightly down at the dress in her hands, she shook her head and put it back on the rack. Maybe something in blue?
"I'm meant to wear sequins to my brother's wedding and I don't do sequins. Can you picture me in sequins? That's..no. Not going to happen." Oh, that sapphire blue was a pretty color. Hm. "Help me pick some out that might look nice?" Please?

"Yes let's get out of here." She looked around a moment and picked up a few cute pairs of earrings. "What do you think? Do they scream us?" She grinned and glanced around once more before slipping them into a pocket. Winking at Bella she headed towards the door.
"Food sounds good, I heard some people talking about the place up the street. Let's go there." Maybe she could figure out where other things were, but before she could even think it Bella was asking it. "You read my mind." She opened the door and headed out.
