I'm back. Oh wow, what a great chapter. It's so sad, but it had to be done. Will they be able to keep thir hands off each other after the Wedding? Will Kildara be able to control herself during the Wedding?
I do feel a little sorry for Regulus, bless him. But we all know how that turns out!

Okay so I know I said this would incorporate the wedding, well, I broke up the chapter because it was going to be mega long. So yeah ... sorry people. But this one is again, really just a go-between chapter. I hope you like it.

Chapter Seventeen: All the Same

The first week of the holidays was hell for Kildara. Regulus was staying at their house and was with Kildara the entire time. The only good thing about him following her around was that he did things for her to get on her good side. No matter what he did, which included all her chores, opening doors for her, picking things up when she ‘accidentally’ dropped them, she never seemed to warm to him. He just kept doing things for her, no matter how horrible she was to him, he just wanted her to like him. Even Severus thought he was flogging a dead horse. She doing stuff for her wasn’t going to get Kildara’s approval. Apart from telling him to do things for her, she ignored him. Eileen felt she was being a bit harsh. The boy was adorable and deserved better. She confronted her daughter on the issue a week into the holidays.
“How dare you treat Regulus like he’s dirt,” she said, walking into Kildara’s bedroom.
Kildara looked up and smirked. She was getting very good at it. “What? How dare I? I should ask you the same thing. But about your own children.” she said aggressively. It was getting easier and easier to anger Kildara as the Dark Arts took a hold on her.
Eileen looked shocked. “Regulus deserved to be treated better. As his future wife, you should revere him. Treat him like a prince.”
Kildara laughed. It was a laugh that reached your soul and chilled the bones. “Revere him? Are you kidding me? He’s 10. I’m not going to treat him like a prince. I’m going out.” she said, getting up and leaving her room before her mother could say another word.

Kildara didn’t go home. She went to live at Crabbe’s place. His parents adored her, especially now she was a Death Eater. She felt bad, but they had offered. She didn’t stay there all the time, she felt too bad. She went out during the day, but was always back for dinner. Mrs Crabbe insisted on it. One day, Kildara received an owl from Josh. She was sitting in the little room the Crabbes had set up for her with the tawny swooped through the window. She looked at it curiously and ripped it open.
Dear Kildara,
I know we haven’t spoken for a while. And I know there is a reason behind that. I was wondering whether you wanted to come around to catch up some time.
How’s school? How’s Malfoy? I heard he’s getting married to Narcissa Black this summer. Is that true?
Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon.
Josh.
Kildara was really very confused by this. It was like he was extremely happy Lucius was getting married and he was rubbing it in her face. But then again, he seemed like he really wanted to catch up. She considered for a moment then got out a piece of parchment and a quill and started writing.
Dear Josh,
I was going to write to see how you were but never got around to it. I would love to catch up. You pick a time. I’m staying with the Crabbes at the moment. So whenever, just as long as I’m home for tea.
School’s okay. It’s school. Lucius is fine. And yes it is true he’s getting married this summer. The wedding is in a couple of weeks.
I’d love to see you again soon.
Love Kildara.
She gave it to the tawny and it flew out of the window. She laid back on her bed and sighed. She had no idea what she was going to do. She was so confused. She supposed nothing was easy when you involved with a soon to be married man. She sunk back into the bed and pulled the covers over her. She closed her eyes and fell immediately asleep.

The next day, Kildara awoke to find the same tawny on her bedside table. She smiled and took the letter.
Dear Kildara
I’m glad you are happy. Last time I saw you, you were a bit under the weather.
Can you come around today? Say about 11?
Hope you can
Love Josh.
She looked at her watch and sighed. It was ten thirty. She scribbled back an okay and sent the bird on its way. She got up and got changed and went down stairs. Mrs Crabbe came running up to her and started fussing over her. It was very obvious Mrs Crabbe wanted a daughter.
“I’m sorry Mrs Crabbe. I have to go out.” she said, trying her hardest to pry herself from Mrs Crabbe’s grip without being rude.
“Okay darling. just make sure you are home for dinner. I’m making chicken pie.” she said, letting Kildara go.
“I’ll be back for sure. See you later then.” she said, waving as she walked out the front door.
Once outside, she breathed in the fresh air and smiled. It was a beautiful day. A little bit nippy, but not as bas it had been. Josh didn’t live far from here so she decided to walk. After walking for ten minutes, she reached a park that she knew was near his house. As she was a bit early, she decided to sit down. She walked over to the swings and sat down on one. She just sat there for twenty minutes, thinking about nothing in particular. Then she realised she’d be late so she got up and walked the rest of the distance to Josh’s.
Walking up to his front’s door, she sighed. Why did she agree to come over? She didn’t do that. She shook her head and knocked on the door.
The door opened almost immediately and Josh stood there, looking very nice in jeans and a singlet, his arms buffer than last time she saw him. He smiled and pulled her into a hug.
“Hey, Dara. How are you?” he asked.
“I’m great.” she said, her voice muffled in his shoulder.
He released her and they walked into the house and up to Josh’s room. He opened the door and stood back for her to walk past him. She walked in and sat on the bed, looking around and feeling quite awkward. His stereo was on. She listened closely to the words of the song, frowning slightly

She looked up at him and saw he was smiling at her. Did he plan that song? she thought. She smiled back at him and sighed.
“So, what’s up?” she said awkwardly. She sounded so stupid.
His smile widened and he looked as though he was going to laugh. “I’m a fully fledged doctor now. Internship is over. What’s new with you?”
She shrugged her shoulders, listening to the song again.

“I’m staying with the Crabbe’s. My mother has invited Regulus Black to stay with us. I have to marry the squirt so she wants me to warm to him. Not going to happen. He’s 10. It’s gross.” she answered, frowning at the song in the background. It was annoying her now. It was like it knew the real reason she had said yes to coming over. It was bugging her.
He smiled. “So how about this wedding? How are you about it?” he asked.
She shrugged her shoulders again. “We all knew it was coming. It’s been coming for ages.” she stopped talking as the song continued.

Hours slide and days go by
Till you decide to come

She frowned and turned to him. He was smiling again. “What is this song?” she asked.
His smile widened and he pointed his wand at the stereo and it turned itself off.
“All the Same by a Muggle band called Sick Puppies. Good song isn’t it. I quite like them.” he said.
She frowned at him. “I don’t like that song. Did you plan it?” she asked. She was curious but she was really annoyed.
He smiled again and nodded. “Yes. I gathered you only said yes for one reason. So I decided to tell you I didn’t care. Just in a different way.” he said, shrugging his shoulders. She looked at him, rather confused. He sighed. “I like you Dara. I always have. I always will. I can’t help you can’t seem to give up on Malfoy. That is why I invited you over. I needed to tell you that.” he said, avoiding her eye like he was embarrassed.
She smiled and leant over and placed a hand on his arm. “I realised I made a mistake when I chose Lucius. I was stupid and naive. Will you forgive me?” she said, sincerely.
He looked up and smiled. Then he pulled her to him and pressed their lips together. Kildara smiled. He was so much stronger than Lucius. She quite liked it.
After twenty minutes like this, they broke apart, gasping for air. They looked at each other and smiled. This was the start of something, and Kildara wasn’t going to be stupid enough to let it go this time.

Chapter Eighteen: Some Things Never Change

Kildara moved back into her house and put up with Regulus’ attempts at getting in her good books. The only reason she did it is because Josh visited her every night, so she put up with Regulus during the day, to be rewarded by Josh at night. Their relationship skyrocketed and Kildara was at last happy. She even started putting up with her mother. Which is a feat in itself. Severus thought she was sick. Then he found out she was back with Josh. Then he never asked again.

Kildara’s mood waned, however, as the ever-looming wedding came nearer. As much as she was happy with Josh, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness the Lucius would be out of her hands forever. The day of the wedding came and Josh was in Kildara’s bedroom, sitting on her bed, wearing a tux, waiting for his girlfriend to finish getting ready.
“Come on babe. Hurry up,” he groaned.
“Josh, honey. Looking the way I do is an art, it isn’t something you rush.” she laughed.
He got up off the bed and ripped open the curtain to the dressing room. She was putting her earrings in and finishing her hair. He was blown away by how nice she looked. Her dress was made from turquoise silk and looked all nice and slinky from the front, hugging her voluptuous curves and accentuating them. When she turned around to look at herself in the mirror, he smiled. The cut at the back of the dress went all the way down to the small of her back, and was loosely laced up, so as to keep it in place. Her dark hair was arranged in curls on the top of her head and a diamond necklace hung from her neck. He looked her up and down and smiled. He was one lucky guy. She turned around to face him and smiled.

Kildara’s Dress

“So, what do you think?” she asked, looking down at herself.
He smiled and pulled her to him. I think I’m the luckiest guy in the world.” he said, kissing her lightly. “We’d better get going.” he said suddenly.
She nodded and grabbed her bag. He offered her his arm and she held on tight. He spun on the spot and they Apparated out of the room.

They arrived at the front of the Malfoy Manor and looked around as they heard a woman scream Kildara’s name.
“Kildara!” Mrs Malfoy screamed, running towards the girl she wished was in the Manor dressed in white.
Kildara smiled and released herself from Josh and was immediately pulled into a hug.
“Mrs Malfoy,” she breathed, her smile fixed to her face.
Mrs Malfoy released her and stood back to study her. “Oh my dear. You look lovely.” she looked up as Josh walked up behind Kildara and placed a hand on the bare skin of her back. “You must be Kildara’s date?”
Kildara looked up at him and smiled. “Mrs Malfoy, this is Josh Simmons. He went to Hogwarts with Bella.” she said happily. Mrs Malfoy held out her hand and Josh took it, softly kissing it.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mrs Malfoy,” he said, in his delicious dulcet tone, making Mrs. Malfoy blush slightly.
“Kildara!” screamed another, slightly deeper voice. Kildara swung around and ran towards Bella, who was waiting her arms open.
“Bella,” she breathed. She hugged her friend and then took a step back to look at her. Bella was wearing a dress. That never happened. “You look nice,” Kildara said, nodding her head in approval.
“Cissy made me wear a dress.” she shrugged. “You look stunning, as usual.” She looked up as Josh walked up behind Kildara. “Josh, well, don’t you scrub up nicely.” she said, hugging him quickly.
Josh smiled. “You do too, Bella.”
Bella smiled and looked around. “I don’t think the groom is going to like the fact you bought a date Dara,” Bella laughed.
Kildara stepped back into Josh’s arms and smiled. “He’s the one that’s getting married. Not my problem.” she said, trying to keep her voice casual, although there was the slightest hint of hurt and betrayal in it.
Bella shrugged her shoulders and looked over to the back yard. Her face screwed up as she spotted someone in the crowd. Kildara turned to see a girl holding a tall woman’s hand.
“So my mother decided to bring my dearest sister Andromeda.” Bella sneered. “I wondered whether she would.”
Kildara sighed. “Bella, Andromeda is a kid. I know she’s different, but still, she’s a kid. She’s not a threat.” she said, reaching over and patting Bella on the shoulder.
Bella deflated slightly and looked back at Kildara. “Yeah I suppose. We should probably go and get seats. Let’s go and watch my dear, weak sister get married.” she sneered, walking off.
Kildara shrugged her shoulders as she looked up at Josh. She took his arm and they walked over to the seating. Kildara knew so many people there, as all Lucius’ friends were her friends. Everyone was waving at her, some giving her almost apologetic looks. She knew this would happen. She knew everyone would start feeling sorry for her. She wrapped her arm tighter around Josh’s as they sat down. They hadn’t been sitting long when the groom and his party walked up the front. Lucius looked around the crowd and found what he was looking for almost immediately. Her dark hair was glinting in the sunlight and her dress was so different to everyone else’s. He smiled at her and she smiled beck. He frowned however, when he saw Josh sitting beside her, his hand on her thigh. A second later, the bridal march started and everyone stood up and turned around to watch Narcissa, a picture of elegance in her traditional white wedding gown, walk up the aisle. Narcissa looked around and shot a look of sheer triumph at Kildara, who turned red and grew hot. It was insulting to think Kildara was just going to give up.
The wedding went on, with Mrs Malfoy sobbing into Kildara’s shoulder. Josh kept shooting longing glances at Kildara and she just smiled back. It was odd to think Lucius would be going back to school in September as a married man. The wedding ended with the part everybody knew Lucius was dreading. The Kiss. He kissed her quickly then stood back up. This time it was Kildara’s turn for a look of triumph. The fact that Lucius couldn’t even bring himself to kiss his wife as they got married made Kildara happy, for some reason. The new couple walked down the aisle again, followed by everyone else, towards a grand marquee, where the reception would take place.
The reception, for the most part, went without a hitch. Lucius cowled throughout the entire wedding waltz, while Narcissa beamed up at her husband lovingly. As they were all eating, Kildara looked up at the Head Table, and caught Lucius’ eye. He jerked his head slightly to signify he wanted to speak to her. Kildara nodded slightly and excused herself. Josh watched her walk off but then looked back down and became engrossed in his conversation with Bella.
Kildara walked inside the house, followed by Lucius. They walked upstairs to his room. Lucius opened the door and stood back to let her passed. When they were both in the room, Lucius glowered at her.
“How dare you bring him to my wedding.” he roared.
“The invite said I could bring a guest. It didn’t say anything like, ‘You can bring a guest, so long as it isn’t Josh Simmons’” she roared back.
They stood there scowling at each other for a while. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a carving knife. Then all of a sudden they were lunging at each other, pressing their lips together. Lucius clutched her around the waist, lifting her up. Kildara wrapped her legs around his waist. He backed her into a wall, pressing their bodies closer. They broke apart, gasping for air.
“Lucius, we can’t do this. You’re married.” Kildara sighed, although she made no move to remove her legs from his waist.
Lucius smiled and pushed a stray hair from her face. “I don’t care. I didn’t chose to be married.” he said, leaning into her again.
She caved in and kissed him with so much passion, you would think there would be no tomorrow.
Half an hour later, Josh started to get worried. She had excused herself to go to the bathroom. No one took half an hour in the bathroom. Just as he was about to stand up, Kildara walked out of the house, smoothing her dress over her curves. She smiled as she saw him and kissed him when she sat down. Ten minutes later, Lucius walked out of the house and walked up to the Head Table, kissing Narcissa softly on the head as he sat down. She looked startled, but soon regained herself and looked up at him lovingly. He smiled down at her and then looked up and watched everyone dancing. He spoke to her quietly then stood up as she nodded her head. He walked over to Kildara’s table and stood behind her.
“I was wondering whether Miss Snape would honour me with a dance.” he said smoothly, smiling at everyone at the table. Kildara looked at Josh, who nodded. Lucius pulled out her chair for her as she stood up elegantly and She took his offered arm.
He wheeled her around the dance floor, clutching her like they were still at school, not his wedding. Everyone stopped to watch them. They were both such smooth dancers and they looked made for e
