Chapter Twelve: A Young Girl's Dying Wish

The next few days before the next term saw a massive change in Kildara. She started eating again, her cheeks got their colour back and she looked as voluptuous as the old Kildara Snape had been. Severus liked this change in his sister. He was happy to have the feisty, happy Kildara back, not the miserable, alcoholic Kildara he had looked after these holidays. Kildara fashioned a glove for her right arm to hide her Mark. She stole one of Eileen's long black gloves and cut the fingers out of it so there was only a slice of fabric that went between her thumb and forefinger, to stop it from riding up her arm. She cut massive holes in it so it was like a fish net. The only part that was a block of fabric was the part that went over her Mark. Severus thought it looked good and it added to her individuality.
The ride to King's Cross was the worst ever. As Kildara and Eileen still weren't talking, Severus acted as a mediator, trying to settle the situation. It didn't work.
When they got to King's Cross, Eileen dropped them off at the front. Kildara took all the luggage out the boot of the car and put it onto two trolleys. After kissing his mother goodbye, Severus took his trolley and followed his sister into the station. He watched her as she walked, tall and straight, her slender, 5'10" frame a beacon of sophistication and pride. People looked at her as they passed and young Muggle boys whistled. She shot them dirty looks and they shut up. Severus was pretty sure his sister could do magic without a wand. Those boys looked as though they would never whistle again.
The Snapes walked through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4 together. They put their trunks on the train and then parted ways. Kildara walked over to the troupe and Severus walked over to his little group of friends.
Kildara was welcomed into the circle with open arms, literally. Lucius was waiting for her, his arms opened wide. She walked into them and they closed around her.
"Crabbe!" she exclaimed, releasing herself from Lucius' grip and swooping an unexpecting Crabbe. "Pleasant summer?"
"Average," he answered. "Mother is pressuring me not to join. She says it will ruin my prospects." He looked as though the thought of prospects made him sick.
"Your mother was a Ravenclaw, right?" Kildara asked. He nodded his head. "There's your reason. She doesn't believe in the cause as much as us Slytherins do."
Crabbe nodded. The train bellowed, signifying it was time to go. They jumped on the train, grabbing a compartment for themselves.
When they got to Hogwarts, Kildara sighed, "I'm home."

The first week of school went by with out any disruptions or any thing really worth mentioning. On Friday night, however, while the troupe was sitting in the Common Room after dinner, an owl swooped in and dropped a package on Kildara's lap. She recognized Bella's writing at once. She got up and walked over to the spiral staircase up to the girls dormitories and sat on the bottom step. She opened the letter as quickly as her fingers would allow her.

My dear Kildara,
You are needed. The Dark Lord has asked me to collect you tonight. Please do not open this package in the Common Room as it contains an Invisibility Cloak. You are not supposed to have one so we don't want it stolen or confiscated.
At 11 o'clock, dress in your Death Eater robe etc and cover yourself with the Cloak. You need to make it down to the Forbidden Forest. Skirt around it and I will meet you on the edge by the fence. I will then Apparate you to the hideout.
Do not be late. I cannot stress this enough. The Dark Lord will not be forgiving if you are late for your first assignment.

Kildara folded the letter and looked at her watch. 7:30pm, she thought to herself. 3 1/2 hours. She stood up and looked over to the troupe, who were looking at her.
"Just have to put this in my room. I'll be back in a sec." And she rushed up the stairs to test out her new Invisibility Cloak.

At ten minutes to 11, Kildara silently slid out of bed and slipped her Death Eater robe and mask on. She threw the Cloak over herself and crept out of the castle.
She walked briskly over the Lawns towards the Forbidden Forest. Skirting around it, she spotted Bella on the other side of the fence. She scaled the fence and dropped silently down next to her. Bella threw her arm up, her wand in her hand. Kildara took off her mask and then took off the Cloak.
“Oh Dara it’s just you. Come now. We must go.” Bella breathed. She took Kildara by the arm and Apparated from the grounds.

When Dara’s feet hit the ground, she looked around. There were loads of people standing around in long black cloaks and masks. Bella put her mask on and Kildara followed suit.
Appearing in front of them, Voldemort looked ready to kill. Kildara was excited.
“The balance of Wizards and Muggles needs to be restored. For the higher good. Tonight we will help in the cause to make sure this balance is restored. Tonight, we go to annihilate anyone who opposes us. Anyone that stands in our way is to be slaughtered, whichever way you seem fit.” He took a small breath. “Now go.”
There were tremendous shouts and applause and everyone but Bella, Kildara and a few others, Apparated from the room. Voldemort left the podium and walked towards the select few left behind.
“Now, as my inner circle, you have an assignment. I need you to find out as much about this new resistance, the Order of the Phoenix. It was set up by Albus Dumbledore to hinder us. Get information however you need, by whatever means, and from whoever you think will have information. I want to know who is in, where they meet, what their next move will be. Remember, spare no one.” He looked at each person and his eyes lingered on Kildara. The only one he didn’t know the strengths of. He didn’t know her weaknesses, or even if she was up to what he was asking her to do. So young, so naïve. But Bella said she was the most ruthless in Duelling at Hogwarts. Maybe this could work.
Bella took Kildara’s arm and they Apparated out of the hideout.
Kildara’s feet hit soft earth. It was raining.
“Come,” Bella whispered, as the others appeared around them. They walked down a deserted street, all the lights out. No one was either there or awake. Well it is the middle of the night. The Death Eaters snuck around the streets, looking for the house they were searching for. They found it and broke down the front door, blasting it off its hinges. They could hear people screaming and a man ran out in his night clothes, his wand in front of him.
“Go away, you devils,” he yelled. “Expel-“
“Avada Kedavra!” one of the Death Eaters shouted. A jet of green light shot from the end of his wand, illuminating the hallway. The man crumpled on the floor, dead. His wife and three children stood cowering in the door way to the main bedroom. The Death Eaters stepped over the dead man, their wands raised. The woman hid her eldest daughter behind her back. Kildara knew her from Hogwarts. She was a Gryffindor, in the same year as Kildara. They hated each other. Why isn’t she at school? Kildara thought to herself. She raised her wand slightly higher. The Death Eaters didn’t stop until they were standing with their wands only inches from the family. The woman looked past the Death Eaters at her dead husband in a heap on the floor. The two younger children were sobbing uncontrollably. The older daughter was standing behind her mother, her wand in her hand.
“Why are you here?” the mother sobbed.
“Your daughter,” a large Death Eater said from behind his mask.
“My daughter has done nothing wrong.”
“Why is she not at school then? Why has she not been told to go back?” Kildara hissed.
The daughter looked at Kildara intently, trying to recognize the voice.
“You take the girl,” a very large Death Eater whispered to Kildara and Bella. They nodded.
“Stupefy,” the Death Eaters roared and Kildara and Bella darted forward, dodging the red sparks. They grabbed the girl and pulled her from the room. They took her through the house and threw her into a room that looked like a private lounge.
“Why are you here,” she asked, her voice faltering slightly.
“Why aren’t you at school young lady?” Bella sneered.
Kildara and Bella kept their wands on her. She had dropped her wand in the tussle.
“That is none of your business,”
“We just made it our business,” Kildara hissed.
“I won’t tell you anything.”
“Yes you will. We will make you,” Bella smiled. “Would you like to do the honours, Snape?” she nodded to Kildara.
“Of course,” Dara replied. She turned her wand on the girl. “Crucio!” she barked.
The girl’s screams filled the room. She writhed in pain. A smile spread across Kildara’s face. Now this was exhilarating.
“Snape will not remove the curse until you tell me what we want to know. Why aren’t you at school?”
The girl screamed louder. “I won’t give in,” she sobbed.
Kildara moved closer and the curse intensified. The girl’s screams grew louder.
“I will not ask again. Why are you here? Why aren’t you at school?” Bella growled.
“Stop please,” the girl sobbed. “I’ll tell you.”
Bella nodded and Kildara lifted the curse. The girl curled up in a ball on the floor and sobbed.
“Yes?” Kildara sneered.
The girl looked up, tears in her red eyes. “I will tell you on one condition, you spare the rest of my family.”
Bella and Kildara nodded.
The girl started talking. Telling them everything they wanted to know about why she wasn’t at school. She was working for the Order. She told them everything she knew. She ran out of things to say.
“That’s all I know. I swear.”
Bella and Kildara smiled at each other. She had told them quite a bit. But this girl would never show up at school, ever again.
“Thank you very much for telling us that. Kildara.”
Kildara raised her wand as recognition registered in the girl’s face. “Avada Kedavra.”
The girl fell the same way as her father.
The two girls left the girl on the floor and walked out of the room. They walked up to the others and nodded. Three Killing Curses shot at the three remaining members of the family. They crumpled in a heap on the floor. The Death Eaters walked out of the house and Kildara was asked to cast the Mark above the house.
“Mosmordre!” she hissed and a Dark Mark shot from her wand and hovered above the house.
They looked up at it and then Apparated from back to the hideout.
Back at the hideout, Kildara and Bella told Voldemort what the girl told them.
“Very good. You may go,” he said, dismissing them.
The two girls walked from the chamber and then turned to each other.
“Well done tonight, Dara. You did a great job,” Bella said, patting her on the back.
“Thanks Bella. It’s really exhilarating.”
“I told the Dark Lord you were ruthless. You proved yourself tonight. I should probably get you back to school.”
Kildara nodded and took Bella’s arm. They Apparated back to the fence behind the Forbidden Forest. The two girls embraced and said goodnight. Kildara scaled the fence and covered herself with her Invisibility Cloak. She rushed back to the school and up to her dormitory. When she got there she changed into her night clothes and lay back down on her bed, the night’s events running through her over-active mind, for a few hours sleep before the morning.

I'm sorry that post was soooooo long. I couldn't stop and I had a lot to put in!

" This is well written for your first time. "Being that I am all Gryffindor, I do not like Kildara or the rest. I like Lily Evans and James Potter. I would anyway as my character has Rom Weasley and Hermoine Grainger as my grandparents. Harry Potter as my cousin.Hugo Weasley and Orinda Evans( Lily's sister) are my father and mother.

Why thank you. Well my Hogwarts RP character is a Gryffindor. Kildara is my only Slytherin character. I'm usually an all-Gryffindor sorta person, but I got this idea and it was too good to resist!
