Edith "Edie" Griffiths Minister's Office | A Proud Slytherin - Sa16+ Hi, My name is Jade. This is my first fan fic on SnitchSeeker. As it is my first attempt, please go easy on me!! This is a fic in the Marauder Era, it dosen't directly affect them throughout the entire story but hey.
The main character is a very Proud Slytherin, by the name of Kildara Snape, the undocumented older sister of our favourite bad guy, Severus Snape. She is in the same year as Lucius Malfoy.
Well. Here goes. Chapter One: The Mudblood
Kildara Snape walked slowly through the trees, listening to the voices ahead of her. She could hear her brother talking, noble and proud of his heritage but young and naive, and explaining everything to that stinking Muggle girl. Now that he’d finally plucked up the courage to speak, he found out she was just like him. Kildara walked up to the tree closest to the pair and stopped.
“Hogwarts is beautiful,” she heard Severus say.
“Have you even been there?” Lily asked, shyly.
“No. Not yet,” Severus hung his head. “But from what I’m told, it’s one of the most beautiful places on Earth. And we are going there Lily. Me and You.”
Kildara couldn’t believe her ears. Her brother sounded like he was in love with the silly Evans girl. She couldn’t let him. She would never allow her brother to lower himself to that.
“Severus. Oh my dear. I found you!” Kildara breathed, rounding the tree. Her 16 years of training finally coming in handy. “Where have you been? I have looked everywhere for you!”
Severus and Lily jumped at her voice. Lily looked almost afraid. So you should be. Kildara thought to herself. Severus looked over his shoulder and scowled. Why couldn’t she just butt out? Why couldn’t she find her own friends? Severus thought to himself.
Kildara walked over to her brother, head held high, looking down on him and that Evans girl.
“My dear brother. We must be getting you home. And I’m sure Mr. and Mrs. Evans will be wondering where dear Lily is. I know Petunia is. I spoke to her while I was trying to find you. Now, now, up we get.”
When they were standing, Kildara turned on her heel, a smile on her face an started to walk towards the trees. Her mother had entrusted her to make sure Severus didn’t make friends with anyone outside Hogwarts. She’d done that. Now her only problem was Evans. She was now a Hogwarts friend.
Later on that night, Severus blasted his way into his sister’s immaculate, extravagant room.
“What is wrong with you?” he snarled. Angered more by his sister’s seeming indifference, he continued. “Why can’t you make your own friends? Why do you have to ruin everything that comes my way? Why do you have to be so jealous of me?” Kildara’s smile widened as she turned to her younger brother.
“Me? Jealous of you? Do you want to make me laugh? The only friend you have is that filthy Mudblood. Why would I be jealous of you? Answer me that!”
Severus just stood there, his mouth open. Kildara stood up, walked over to him, pushed her wand under his chin pushed his mouth closed. She sniffed.
“Go and take a shower, you dirty boy. You smell of Mudblood.” Turning away from him she said, “I won’t tell mother of this little … incident. But if you raise your voice at me again, mother will seem like a cute little puppy, compared to what you will face.”
Watching her walk through the door to her powder room, Severus shook his head. She had threatened him before, but never with torture. He snapped out of his daze and raced off to the bathroom, careful to note never to raise his voice again.
Kildara walked into her powder room and sat on the chair. What had come over her? She was turning more and more into her mother everyday. Her mother would get her way after all, Kildara was going the way she wanted. She heard the shower go. Well at least he listened to her. Then she heard a loud pop outside her door. The door opened slowly to reveal her mother’s formidable silhouette.
“Now dear, tell me what happened.”
Tell me what you think.
Love Jade

Well here goes .... Chapter Two: The Confrontation
Kildara’s head swung around at her mother’s voice. Even at 16 she unable to not fear her mother. Her mother, tall, proud and foreboding stood before her, her black eyes boring into Kildara’s blue ones. They were the only things that differed between Eileen and her daughter, their eyes. They were Tobias’. Other than that, Kildara was very much her daughter, definitely not his. As Eileen stared her daughter down, she saw Kildara’s eyes flick down, to break the constant contact. She smiled. She still had such control over her independent daughter. Control over her mind, emotions, and life.
“So now dear, tell me, what happened?” Eileen said, sickly sweet.
Kildara stared straight back into her mother’s eyes, trying to find some way out. There wasn’t one. She lowered her head as she started to speak.
“I have failed you mother. Severus is still talking to that Evans girl.”
“You talk to her sister, is that a problem?”
“I speak to Petunia so as to find something that will make Sev stop talking to Lily. I hate everything about those horrid Muggles. They are not worth the ground I stand on.”
“Now, now dear. Not so harsh.” Eileen’s eyes fluttered as she sensed her daughter’s pure hatred of the non-magical race. “You are doing the best you can. You know as well as I do that nothing will stop Severus once he sets his mind to things. But this is something we can deal with. All he needs is constant probing. You must make sure you make every effort to keep them apart at Hogwarts.” Kildara’s eyes flicked back up to her mother. “Yes I know she is a witch. That filthy Mudblood cannot contaminate my darling Severus. He is so impressionable.”
Kildara looked at her mother closely, watching her as she spoke of Severus, the baby of the family. There was never a time when she looked like that while speaking of Kildara, not even when she was younger. But then again, she was a girl, not the boy that will apparently carry on the name. Who would want to carry on that horrid name? Their filthy Muggle father had softened her mother’s pureblood pride. Kildara wanted nothing to with Mr Tobias Snape, her father, the man that is never home to look after his family. Good thing both Kildara and Severus are magical, or else they would be abandoned children.
“Mother?” Kildara asked, sweetly.
“Yes dear?” Eileen replied, almost afraid of her daughter.
Kildara smiled. The tables were finally turning. Her mother had taught her to be just like her. Now she was, she had control.
“Do you really think I care about my silly little brother, and what he does at Hogwarts? No. As long as he doesn’t embarrass me, I don’t care.”
Eileen looked her daughter up and down, afraid of what she could see. The exact mirror of herself. Except Kildara’s height, she towered over her mother, and those eyes. Those cold blue eyes. They looked like pools of ice. Enough to freeze the soul.
“Well dear I’m glad we had this conversation. I take me leave from you now.” Eileen turned to leave, but was stopped by the venom in her daughter’s voice.
“Oh and mother. Make sure you let your darling son know that.”
Eileen nodded her head, but did not look back at her daughter. She could sense the simpering smile on her daughter’s face.
Watching her mother walk out the door defeated, Kildara smiled. Finally, she wasn’t her mother’s guinea pig. Finally, she never had to watch as her mother treated her brother like he was her only child.
The Fist of September finally came around, and Kildara was happy for it. Her mother had almost disowned her and Severus was still talking to that Mudblood. When they got to King’s Cross, Kildara didn’t even say goodbye to her mother, she strode over to her friends, never looking back. Lucius’ eyes lit up as he saw her approach, her prefect badge already affixed to her robes, he moved over to make room for her in the circle.
“Oh Lucius!” she said, swinging her arms round his neck and kissing his cheek. “How was your summer?”
Lucius tried to his the fact his pale cheeks were reddening and said, “Adequate. Mother and father keep going on and on about that girl in the year below us. What’s her name? Narcissa Black.”
“Ah yes, Bellatrix’s sister. Good family, Lucius.”
“Good family, yes, but she is not like the rest of it. She doesn’t seem like a real Black, if you know what I mean.”
Kildara nodded her head, not really listening. She was watching her brother sauntering off towards Lily and her family. Petunia looked like a fish out of water.
“Care for a walk?” Kildara said, facing Lucius.
When he nodded his yes, she grabbed his arm and walked over to the Evans’. Severus looked up as she approached and rolled his eyes.
“Oh Petunia, darling.” Kildara simpered, letting go of Lucius and swooping down to kiss Petunia’s cheeks. She smiled at Mr and Mrs Evans then swooped on Lily. Lily looked rather surprised and just stood still as a pole. She slid one arm over the crook in Lucius’ and placed her other hand on Severus’ shoulder. He looked up at her with loathing in his eyes, Kildara just smiled.
“So, Lily. What house do you want to be in?” Kildara said, sweetly.
Lily shook and muttered, “I haven’t really thought about it.”
Kildara’s grin widened. “Well I’m sure young Severus here will be in Slytherin, just like me and Lucius.” She looked up at Lucius and smiled sweetly. He melted.
The horn of the train blasted, signifying it was time to go.
“Well see you later.” Kildara said, waving her hand and walking off with Lucius back to the train.
“You are horrible,” Lucius said as they boarded the train. Kildara smiled at him.
“Well I’m not a Slytherin for nothing. Severus has to stop talking to her. It’s bad for him. Stupid Mudblood.”
“She’s a Mudblood? Definitely have to stop him from talking to her then. Can’t tarnish you rep.” Lucius looked down to see her smiling up at him. “What are you thinking?”
Kildara’s smile widened. “I’m thinking we should find an empty compartment.”
Lucius laughed and shook his head. “Now now Miss Snape. We are Prefects. We need to set the standard.”
“We can do that in the empty compartment,” she replied, playfully.
Lucius was just about to slide is arm down her back when,
“‘Dara, Lucius, in here. Compartment down here.” The sound of Crabbe’s voice broke their moment and they looked at each other and frowned.
“Oh well. Some other time then,” Kildara said, annoyed. She took Lucius arm and they walked down the train to the compartment. |

Kildara xx Chapter Three: New Duties
The rest of the train ride was rather uneventful. Apart from the Perfect meeting and constant interruptions from stupid first and second years trying to get on Kildara and the other Slytherins' good side, nothing really happened. Severus avoided his sister and stayed in his compartment with Lily and a few other first years.
As the train slowed, Kildara and Lucius lead the others in their compartment into the aisle. The crowd parted as the Slytherins walked through and they were the first off the train. They took up 2 carriages on their own. Helping Kildara out of the carriage, Lucius said to her,
"How about we find an empty classroom after the Prefect meeting tonight?"
Kildara just smiled playfully and rested and hand on his chest. They walked up to the school, followed by their troupe, Crabbe, Goyle, Avery, Yaxley, Wilkes, and of course, Narcissa Black, who spent the entire time giving Kildara evil looks.
Entering the Hall, they were met with a familiar scene. The four house tables, laden with plates waiting for food, the four house banners, and the Head Table and the school banner. The teachers were already seated, waiting for the students to arrive. Dumbledore all high and mighty in his gold throne. Kildara scowled.
"Scowling is not a good look on you, babe," Lucius whispered in her ear.
She looked up at him and smiled. "Better?" Lucius nodded. "Doesn't Dumbledore think he's just it. You just wait, he'll get his."
Lucius nodded appreciatively. Dumbledore really was the worst thing that had happened to Hogwarts in it's long noble history.
The troupe found their spot on the Slytherin Table and sat down. Watching the rest of the school file in, Kildara watched people turn in her direction and either smile at her or scowl. Mostly scowls, of course, as only a quarter of the school were Slytherins. Becoming Slytherin Prefect last year was the best thing that had happened to her. Now people had even more reason to be afraid of her. Together, Kildara and Lucius made a good team. A formidable team, yes, but a good one. They knew it, everyone knew it, and no one challenged it. The Slytherins were a intimidating force.
The first years filed in and Kildara met Severus' eye. He nodded his acknowledgement and then turned to the front. The Sorting Ceremony went as slow as it usually did, starting with "Aarons, Stephanie" who became the first Gryffindor. "Avery, Crispin" became the first Slytherin. The Slytherin table erupted with clapping. "Black, Andromeda" and "Black, Sirius" became Gryffindors as well.
"Waste of good blood," Kildara whispered to Lucius, who nodded and slipped his hand onto her thigh.
"Evans, Lily" also became a Gryffindor. "No surprises there." Kildara sneered.
"Lestrange, Rodolphus" also became a Slytherin. "Nice blood there," Kildara said, clapping her hands as Rodolphus Lestrange ambled over to the Slytherin Table.
"Potter, James" became a Gryffindor as well. "Well, they have all been Gryffindors," Lucius said.
At last, "Snape, Severus" walked up to the stool. Kildara straightened in her seat to watch her brother be sorted. The Hat hardly touched his head when it shouted "SLYTHERIN!" With a large smile on his face, he turned in the direction of the erupting Slytherin Table. Severus looked up at his sister and saw pride and happiness on that beautiful face instead of the detestation that was usually there. He joined the Table in a spot made by the troupe next to his sister. She patted him on the shoulder then turned to Lucius, who was trying to get her attention.
When "Zaccs, Joshua" became the last Hufflepuff, the Sorting was finished. After Dumbledore's little speak, to which the troupe whispered "Nonsense." The feast began.
Kildara watched as her brother's eyes lit up at the sight of all the food and started piling his plate. She turned from him and engaged in conversation with Crabbe and Goyle, Lucius' cronies. They were going on about how they're parents are threatening them to do this and do that. Lucius was trying to hold a conversation with Avery, but was constantly interrupted by Narcissa Black. He was getting extremely annoyed with her and actually raised his voice at her. She shrunk back in her seat and scowled at Lucius' arm, which was reached under the table on Kildara's leg.
At the end of the feast, Dumbledore stood up to say a few words and dismiss everyone for bed. Lucius and Kildara said goodnight to everyone and left for the Prefect meeting.
"Well, eventful evening?" Kildara laughed. "Narcissa seems rather interested in you, my darling."
Lucius groaned. "I have to marry her you know. She's a real hassle. I don't know why," he breathed out deeply.
Kildara stopped and turned to face him. She placed her hands on his shoulders and stood on the tips of her toes. They were at eye level and she leaned in and kissed him. "Calm down, dear. It'll be okay. Now we have to go. We'll be late."
Walking in to the room, they took seats at the back, with the 5th year Slytherin Prefects.
"Okay. Well my prefects. Welcome to another year." Dumbledore began, smiling at the students. "For the fifth years, I trust you will begin this year on a high note. For the sixth years, I expect you will continue to uphold your positions with honour and dignity," his eyes rested upon Kildara and Lucius, who smiled and shrugged their shoulders. "And, this year our Head Boy and Girl are, Henry Thorne from Ravenclaw and Macie Josephs from Gryffindor. I trust they will do everything to help if any Prefect needs it." Dumbledore took a breath and motioned to the two students seated to his left. "Okay. Your duties will be given to you tomorrow morning at breakfast. The Head Boy and Girl will come around and advise you. Now off to bed. I would appreciate it is Miss Josephs and Mr Thorne would stay behind." Dumbledore finished, turning to the Head Boy and Girl. The rest of the students got up and started walking out the room.
Lucius offered his arm to Kildara and they walked out of the room behind everyone else.
"So, how about this empty classroom?" Lucius teased.
Kildara smiled and said, "One closer to the Common Room. Easier." Lucius nodded.
They walked in silence nearly the whole way down to the Common Room. When they reached the last classroom before the common room, Kildara grabbed Lucius' arm and pulled him in, closing the door behind her. Lucius lifted her up so they were level, pushing her against a wall. Kildara leaned in and caught his lips with hers. Their kisses deepened and they started clawing at each other's clothing. |

Edith "Edie" Griffiths Minister's Office | OK, I know I said this would be in two parts, but it is turning out to be longer than expected! Enjoy!
Love Jade xxx This is really good. If only Lucius let me get to her! I would've slapped that smirk off her face. Oh well. Enjoy.
Kildara xxx
The next morning, they woke up on the floor of the classroom.
Kildara swore. "We have to get back to the Common Room."
Lucius just rolled over, pinning her to the floor.
"Lucius, no seriously. We're Prefects remember! We'll get our badges taken off us."
That made Lucius move. He rolled off her and tried to start distinguishing his robe from hers. Once they were ready, they walked out of the room, down to the Slytherin Common Room.
"Parselmouth," Kildara whispered to the wall. It split in two and revealed the Common Room.
Sitting on the couches when they walked in was the troupe.
"Where were you?" Narcissa Black asked, looking worried.
The others looked at her. No one asked Kildara a question like that. Kildara smiled.
"Now dear Narcissa. Why would I tell you that?" she replied, sweetly.
Narcissa looked taken aback by the fact she wasn't yelled at. "I was only curious."
"Well be curious some where else. What we do in our time is none of your business." Kildara replied, raising her voice a little.
"Well actually it is my business. Lucius is my betrothed, remember?" Narcissa said, a smirk on her face.
Kildara felt like smacking that smirk off her face. Lucius took hold of her arm and held on tight. He could feel the anger radiating from her. She was actually heating up.
"Betrothed. That's all. Until your name is Malfoy I can do what ever I want with him." Kildara barked. Now Lucius had to physically pull her back. Yaxley held on to Narcissa's arms as she tried to get at Kildara. Lucius grabbed Kildara around the waist and pulled her into him, as she managed to release her arms.
"What is going on here?" came a deep voice from the Common Room entrance. The two girls slackened, but Lucius and Yaxley did not let go of their arms. The all turned to see Professor Slughorn standing in the entrance.
"Ladies, what are we fighting about? And you know you have wands right?" he laughed.
Kildara looked down at the wand in her hand. She felt ashamed; she should've just hexed Narcissa and ended it.
"Nothing sir." Kildara smiled.
Professor Slughorn looked between the two girls then at Lucius, who still had his hand around Kildara's upper arm.
"Is it just coincidence, Mr Malfoy, that these two fine ladies are yours, or are they fighting about you?"
Kildara and Narcissa blushed red, as did Lucius.
"Just coincidence, sir." he replied, quietly.
Slughorn laughed. "Well Mr Malfoy. Keep your ladies in check. Miss Snape and Miss Black, keep your fighting to Duelling Club. Good morning. Shouldn't you be getting to breakfast, before classes start? I need to give you all your timetables." With that he walked out the door and vanished.
Kildara released her arm from Lucius' grip and walked over to Narcissa. She bent down and put her lips near her ear.
"Never speak to me like that again. If you do, you will not see daylight again. You understand me?" she whispered, threateningly.
Narcissa nodded head, to frightened to talk. Kildara stood up and said, "Good. I'm hungry." She turned to walk out the door. Lucius offered her his arm and they walked up to the Great Hall.
"I thought you would've hexed her or something. Your wand was in your hand." Lucius said.
Kildara looked up at him. "I was too preoccupied with trying to cause her physical pain. I didn't even think about it," she replied, the venom evident in her voice.
Lucius looked taken aback. "Physical pain?"
Kildara looked back up at him, questioningly. "I wanted to slap that smirk off her face. Did you even pay attention to how she spoke to me? She spoke like she owned you."
"You act like you own me. Or is that different?" Lucius asked.
"I don't mean to. If I do I'm sorry. I never mean it to seem like that."
"Wow you apologised."
"Don't get used to it." Kildara smiled.
They got to the Slytherin Table and took their seats with the other sixth years. Slughorn was coming down the table with timetables. When he got to Lucius he smiled. "Got them under control now do we lad?"
Lucius just nodded.
"Okay. Mr Malfoy. Well you got enough OWLs to do anything you want. Which subjects would you prefer?"
Lucius pondered for a moment. "Potions, of course, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and History of Magic.”
“A nice selection, Mr Malfoy. You have only chosen 5 subjects. Are you opting for free lessons?”
Lucius nodded his head.
“Very well then,” Slughorn tapped the parchment in his hand with his wand and passed it to Lucius. “You will have Free Lessons in the time slots where the other 2 subjects should be.”
Then he turned to Kildara. “So, Miss Snape. Now we have Miss Black out of your way, let us get on with your subjects. You also have enough OWLs to do whatever you want.”
Kildara looked at Lucius who nodded. “Okay, I want to do, Potions, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms, History of Magic and Arithmancy.”
Slughorn seemed as though he was ticking them all of in his head. “It must just be coincidence again but you have the same subjects as Mr Malfoy, save Arithmancy. Are you sure you want to do that?”
Kildara looked at him questionably. “Professor?”
“Never mind. You will also have free lessons where you missing subject should be. I look forward to your expertise in my Potions class again this year.”
“Thank you Professor.” Kildara gushed, taking the timetable that was handed to her.
As Slughorn proceeded down the table, Lucius and Kildara compared schedules.
“Two free lessons first up Monday morning! That has got to be the greatest schedule ever.” Lucius exclaimed.
Kildara looked at her timetable and sighed. “Arithmancy first up Monday morning. Joy.”
Lucius leaned in and kissed her below her ear before saying. “It’s okay. You have free time second session.”
Kildara closed her eyes momentarily as his lips touched her neck. A smile spread across her face. Narcissa looked down the table just in time to see this little moment and anyone who looked saw a moment of weakness on Kildara’s part, followed quickly by a smirk in Narcissa’s direction, and everybody knew, Kildara was still in charge. |

Edith "Edie" Griffiths Minister's Office | Chapter 3 part 3 Okay here is the rest of Chapter Three! Enjoy!
Jade and Kildara xxxx
Never one to back down from a fight, Narcissa followed Kildara as she walked unaccompanied to Arithmancy. Kildara knew she was being followed and went down a hidden passage way. She stopped suddenly and threw Narcissa off. She had no where to hide.
“Cissy. Why are you following me?” Kildara simpered.
“No one but Bellatrix calls me Cissy.”
“You know me and Bella are partners right? I can call you anything I want. I know you sent her an owl about this morning. Didn’t take you long to need help did it, Cissy?”
Narcissa looked taken aback. “How do you know that?”
Kildara smiled as she pulled out an envelope from her pocket. She opened it and took out the letter. Unfolding it, she looked at Narcissa, who recognized her sister’s writing at once.
“Dara,
Cissy sent me an owl. She said you threatened her. Why? Is it about Lucius Malfoy? You know they are supposed to be married, right? He is promised to her. A union of the Blacks and Malfoys would be very advantageous for both families. But you and I both know she is not as strong as you are, and obviously not as appealing to him as you are. I wish I had your aptitude for men. I am to marry young Rodolphus Lestrange. He is almost 10 years younger than me. When will you join me in service of the Dark Lord, my dear? We await you and Lucius into our little circle of supporters. The Dark Lord is eager to meet you. We have been telling him about you and he is eagerly awaiting your service. Do make the summer hurry up.
Can’t wait to see you again,
Bella”
Kildara folded up the letter and smiled at Narcissa. “Shouldn’t you be getting to class, Cissy?”
Narcissa looked at the letter in Kildara’s hand and turned on her heel, walking out the passage as quickly as she could. Kildara smiled at herself and hurried to Arithmancy.
Arithmancy went as slowly as any class could. Her mother told her she had to do it and she had to say, it could be quite interesting sometimes. She walked out of the classroom at the end of the lesson, only to be grabbed from behind by Lucius. Kildara laughed heartily. A few people around her looked at her strangely; they had never heard her laugh like that. She almost sounded human. She regained her composure as she was placed back on the ground, Lucius’ arm around her slender waist. They walked back to the Slytherin Common Room to begin their free time.
They entered the Common Room to a commotion. They looked at each other and rushed over to the notice board, where a rowdy group had congregated. As they got closer, they realized that their troupe and another group of Slytherin Seventh Years were arguing.
“What is going on here?” Kildara barked.
The group looked around at her voice. Even the Seventh Years were afraid of her.
“Nothing Dara. These twerps were just trying to cause trouble.” Goyle said, turning to Kildara and Lucius.
“Do not lie to me, Goyle. What is the problem?” Kildara said.
One of the seventh years tried to cover up the notice on the board. Lucius noticed and he pushed him out the way and grabbed the piece of parchment.
He gasped. He tried to hide it in his cloak but Kildara snatched it off him. Her face contorted in rage and she barked, “Who did this?”
No one confessed but she managed to hex them all into telling. One of the seventh years was sent to the hospital wing with hex marks all over him, that his friends were unable to heal. Kildara hit the perpetrator over the head and growled, “You are lucky that is all you got.”
He whimpered and hurried after his friends, large red boils appearing on the back of his head.
Kildara’s rage seemed to be growing and Lucius couldn’t even lay a hand on her, she was emitting heat.
“Where is Severus?” she hissed.
Her pet snake, Nabana, slithered down the stairs from the girls dorms. She slinked up her mistress’s leg and around her shoulders.
“Kildara, dear. Calm down. Let me see that piece of paper,” Nabana hissed.
Kildara lifted the parchment so Nabana could see it.
“Ah,” she hissed. “That filthy Mudblood. Would you like me to do anything for you?” Nabana’s long spiked tongue darted from her mouth and she bared her fangs.
“Just find Severus for me. I will deal with him.” Kildara hissed. Nabana slid from Kildara’s body and slithered out the Common Room.
Lucius walked over to Kildara and slung an arm around her shoulders.
“It'll be okay. You'll be able to sort this out. I promise.” He kissed her on the top of the head.
“I hope so,” she replied, resting her head on his shoulder. “This is not how I wanted to begin my free period.” She winked.
Lucius laughed and grabbed her. She slung her legs around his middle and kissed him. Every one else left the Common Room, realising that they wanted time alone. Narcissa lingered behind slightly, until Yaxley grabbed her arm and dragged her away. |

Kildara Snape xxx Chapter Four: Lies
The rest of the week went slowly, without any more disruptions. Kildara and Narcissa’s friendship, as it were, deteriorated further, due to Kildara and Lucius’ increasingly passionate relationship. Kildara was sitting at the Slytherin Table one Saturday morning when she received a particularly nasty letter from her mother. Kildara,
I hope all is well with your brother. I heard there was little hiccup but I trust you handled it appropriately. Now on to more pertinent business. I want you to stay away from Lucius Malfoy. You are ruining a long planned union between two great wizarding families. Plans are in motion for you to marry young Regalus Black. It will wait for him to turn 15. Plans for the Malfoy/Black wedding are in process and they will wed in the summer, before Lucius Malfoy offers himself to the Dark Lord. I cannot stress how important that union will be for our kind. Stop being a useless wench and put your life in order, minus Mr Malfoy. Leave him for young Miss Black. Kildara, I did not bring you up to be like this. You have betrayed me. I have trained you to be a temptress, not a seductress. You are to tempt, not take. Leave him be and all will be fine. If you continue like this, the Dark Lord may not take you. That could be detrimental for any hope we have for your marriage to young Mr Black.
I hope you are well and your classes are doing you good.
Love,
Mother
Kildara swore loudly. Lucius and the others jumped.
“What is wrong?” Lucius asked, slipping a comforting hand on her thigh.
“I have to go to the Owlery. I need to write a letter.” Kildara replied, jumping up.
“I’ll come with you,” Lucius replied, standing.
Kildara nodded and walked out of the Great Hall, followed closely by Lucius.
On their way, Lucius asked, “What is wrong?”
Kildara handed him the letter. He stopped walking as he read it. When he finished, he started walking again. “Regalus Black? He’s a little young isn’t he?”
Kildara slapped him on the arm. “Narcissa Black. Bit weak isn’t she?”
Lucius laughed as they entered the Owlery. Kildara sat down at the desk and took out some parchment and a quill and inkpot from her bag. She put the parchment on the desk and dipped the quill into the opened inkpot and started writing. Mother,
All is well with your darling Severus. I sorted that little ‘hiccup’ as you call it. Now on to “more pertinent business”. Regalus Black? Why, mother. I know you want to regain power in the wizarding community but you are being ridiculous. He is nearly 10 years younger than me. 5 years is a long enough time to find me some one else. How about Avery, Yaxley or Wilkes? At least they are closer in age. I will do my best to stay away from Lucius. Getting him to stay away from me will be the hard part.
Lucius hit her on arm for that. She laughed. Do not worry about the Dark Lord not taking me in. I am basically already in. Bella owled me and said that he is eager to meet me. You are not even a Death Eater, do not tell me how important it will be for our family. Just because you decided to marry a Muggle. Do not blame it on me because you tainted your good name. Sev and I are very proud of your name and your family, not you, do not confuse it.
As I said I will do my best to stay away from Lucius. He is Narcissa Black’s after all.
Yes I am well and classes are good so far.
I hope you are well and you haven’t hurt yourself too much with fretting over your ‘wench’ of a daughter.
Love,
Kildara.
She stood up and called her owl to her. The large snowy owl perched herself on Kildara’s shoulder, took the letter in her beak and flew off.
Kildara then sat down again and started to pen another letter.
“Who is this one to?” Lucius said, curiously.
“Bella. I didn’t owl her back.” Dear Bella,
I am very sorry I haven’t replied to your letter. You know school. Busy as ever. For your information, Cissy and I were fighting about Lucius Malfoy. And yes I know they are betrothed, but they aren’t married yet. And yes, I know that the marriage would be very “advantageous” as you so aptly put it. Well, I must say my “aptitude for men” does annoy me sometimes. Hard to get them off me sometimes! Rodolphus Lestrange? Good blood, wealthy family. He has fallen in with my brother. Nice kid. Well I am to marry young Regalus Black when he turns 15. I will be 21! He is really quite young. But, being a Black makes you practically royal. Am I right, Bella? We will be sisters-in-law. I will join you in the summer. I am eager to join now, but I must finish this year first. I also wish the summer would hurry up.
Cannot wait to see you again,
Kildara.
She summoned the closed school owl and gave it the letter. “Bellatrix Black,” she told it as it flew out the window.
“Okay. I’m done.” Kildara said, packing her things back into her bag. She took Lucius’ arm and they walked out of the Owlery together.
“So, how about this staying away from me?” Lucius smiled.
Kildara smiled back. “It was just a little white lie to get my mother off my back. How could I leave you alone? Well you wouldn’t be alone. Narcissa would very quickly snap you up. Can‘t let that happen.”
“Hmm. Yes. Can’t let that happen, now, can we? That would be absolutely disastrous.”
“She’s not joining us this summer. She is not going to join the Dark Lord.” Kildara said.
“You know why we are to be married before I offer my services? Narcissa did it. She doesn’t want me to join. She is hoping that if I marry her I won’t want to join. We have to have children. It’s horrible. I don’t like kids.”
Kildara lay a hand on his arm and said, “It’s okay. You’ll still join, right. You won’t leave me, will you?”
Lucius looked down to find her looking up at him. “Never,” he answered. He put his arm around her shoulders and they continued walking to the Slytherin Common Room. |

Edith "Edie" Griffiths Minister's Office | Yes I agree!! Kildara + Regalus definately = BAD!!! I really wanted to kick Narcissa out of the story somehow ... but that would have ruined the rest of my story!! I'll bump her off right now if you want! No Kildara, do you want to ruin the story? No. Then I wouldn't exist any more Exactly!
Any way, Thanks a lot Jemma.
