Mia’s First Day Part 2


Mia sat down in the front of the classroom so it would be easier for her to pay attention. She looked around and saw a boy from Slytherin sitting two seats down from her. She extended her hand out to the boy and said, “Hi, my name is Mia.” The boy looked at her in disgust and asked, “Could you not talk to me?” Mia dropped her hand in surprise; she looked at the boy one last time, grabbed her things and moved to the other side of the classroom. All the seats near the front were taken so she sat down in the back next to a girl with black hair that had purple and blue streaks in her hair, a piercing on her right eyebrow and on her lip, a black dog collar with a silver spider on a spider web hanging off it as a tag, skull earrings, and a chain bracelet. The girl looked a little menacing so when Mia sat down next to her, she didn’t say anything. The girl looked at her, smiled, and said, “Hi, I’m Jennifer Harrison.”
Mia looked at Jennifer and said, “I’m Mia Potter.” Jennifer turned to her left side at a girl, who was slightly chubby, and said, “Hey Lauren, this is Mia Potter.” Lauren looked around Jennifer and said, “Hi Mia, I’m Lauren.” She reached out and shook Mia’s hand.

When class was over, Mia waited outside the Charms classroom for James when she saw Hillary talking to three other girls. She walked up to them and said, “You're Hillary, right? I'm Mia.” She took out her hand and held it out to Hillary for her to shake.
Hillary looked at Mia’s hand for a second and said, “So?” The three other girls Hillary was talking started to giggle.
“I’m sorry, did I do something wrong?” asked Mia.
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” said a girl’s voice, “Hillary is just a b*tch.” Mia looked around and saw the girl who kept her long blonde curly hair in a ponytail from Charms class walk over to them.
“Can I help you, scrub?” asked Hillary.
“No, I just wanted to ask you something.” said the girl, “Do you guys by any chance have an alibi?”
“For what, why would we need an alibi?” asked one of the girls
“So you’re saying you guys don't have an alibi.”
“No.”
“Ok, so we established you ain't got no alibi, you ugly, you ugly.” The girl then started to chant, “U-G-L-Y you ain't got no alibi you ugly. Hey, hey, you ugly!” The students nearby started to laugh while Hillary and her friends blushed in embarrassment. The girl stopped chanting and said to Mia, “Let’s get out of here before those girls have their freak out moment.”
“But I’m waiting for my brother,” said Mia, “He’s helping me get to my classes.”
“What do you have next?”
“Transfiguration.”
“Awesome, that’s my next class too. And luckily, I know exactly where it is. Come on!” the girl grabbed onto Mia’s arm and they ran down the corridor.
“My name is Sam by the way.”
“I’m Mia.”

Hi, only just got a login, but have been reading your story for ages! Love it so much! I love the parts where they see the future, it's really cute to see the way James and Lily act with each other when they're at school, and find out all the stuff about them getting married and everything, i.e. slightly awkward lol!

Mia’s First Day Part 3

Finally, after long hours of classes and a lot of homework, it was time for dinner. Mia, Sam, Jennifer, and Lauren went into the Great Hall and all four of them sat at the Gryffindor table near James, Sirius, Lily, Keely, Remus, Meg, and Peter. When Mia sat down next to James, she heard Meg ask James, “Do you wash your hair?”
James looked at her, confused.
“Yes, I wash my hair.” he said
“Then why does it stick up like that?”
“Because.”
“It looks crazy”
Mia laughed and James looked at her.
“Where were you?” he asked “I thought you needed help looking for your classes.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry James.” said Mia, “I just had a little trouble with Hillary and a few girls she was hanging out with. Sam helped me get to my classes.” She looked at her new friends and said, “Sam, Jennifer, Lauren; this is my older brother James. James, these are my new friends, Sam, Jennifer, and Lauren.”
“Yeah, yeah, nice to meet you.” said James, distractedly, “Did you say you had trouble with Hillary? How’d that happen? What’d you do?”
“I didn’t do anything. All I did was come over to say hi and she was being rude.”
“She was being rude to Mia because she’s new here." said Sam, "Hillary always thinks that she’s better than everybody.”
“How do you know that?” asked Sirius.
“She’s my older sister, and she treats me like that all the time. In fact, earlier today after I met Mia, Hillary was being rude to Jennifer and Lauren too.”
“So what'd you do to provoke her?” asked Lily.
“Well she's fat, she's short, she's a Goth, and I'm awesome.” said Sam
“Man, shut up.” said Jennifer.
“So, how were your classes?” asked Remus
“They were kinda fun.” said Mia, “But I think my favorite class is Potions. It’s so much fun putting ingredients together. Professor Slughorn said that my potion was the best in the class.”
“That’s great Mia.” said Lily.
“Hey Lily, would it be alright if you helped me with some of my classes this weekend?”
“Sure, I’d be happy to-”
“Wait a second,” interrupted Sirius, “Why are you asking her? I thought you said that Slughorn said you were his best student.”
“She didn’t say that, Black.” said Keely, “Mia said she needed help with her classes, not just Potions, right Mia?”
But Mia wasn’t paying attention; she was looking over at the Slytherin table. James followed her gaze and saw that she was looking at Severus Snape who was talking to Mulciber, another Slytherin student.
“Mia, are you listening?” asked Keely.
“Huh?” Mia asked, getting out of her trance, “Yeah, sure, uh-huh.”

Very nice chapter, Mia likes Sev, how amusing!

Chapter Sixteen: Mia’s Tutoring

Mia and Lily sat down at a table in the library for Mia’s tutoring. Lily was just showing Mia how to properly use her wand when using the Levitating Charm when James came over to their table.
“What do you want, Potter?” asked Lily
“I’m just trying to check up on you two.” answered James, “You know, making sure that Mia is actually learning things.”
“James, I’m fine.” said Mia, “You don’t have to check up on me every five minutes.”
“Well Mum told me to look after you. And I’ve got to say Mia; you do get in a lot of trouble.”
“Not all the time.” said Mia. “Can you please go now?”
She didn’t want James to leave because she was annoyed at her brother, she wanted him to leave because Severus Snape just came into the library and she didn’t want her brother to be in the same room with her and Severus.
“Potter, I think you better leave now.” said Lily, “We have a lot to go over.”
“Okay, okay, fine.” said James, defeated. Just when James turns around and leaves, he sees Severus Snape lurking by the bookshelves about Potions. James goes over to the nearest bookcase and hides there for a while. When tutoring was done, Lily packed up her things and said, “I think lunch has started.”
“You go ahead, Lils.” said Mia, “I’ll catch up.”
When Lily was out of sight, Mia walked quickly around the library, as if she was looking for something until she ran right into Severus.
”Oh, I’m so sorry.” said Mia, “I didn’t mean to run into you like that.”
“Its alright.” said Severus.
Mia and Severus looked at each other as an awkward silence occurs.
“How do you like Hogwarts so far?” asked Severus.
“I love it,” answered Mia, “My classes are really interesting, except for History of Magic.”
“Yes, that’s always the boring one.” said Severus. “No one really likes it that much.”
Another silence until Mia said, “Listen, I know we haven’t seen each other for a long time so I had this idea that maybe we could meet each other tomorrow by the lake. Is that okay with you?”
“That sounds good to me.” said Severus, “What time?”
“Noon, no contacts. Okay?”
When Severus agreed, Mia quickly left the library, not even noticing James, who has heard the entire conversation.

Mia’s Tutoring Part 2

On Sunday, Mia waited by the lake for Severus. She checked her watched; it was five minutes past twelve. She looked around again but she couldn’t see him.
What’s taking Severus so long? She thought.

Severus was watching the clock in the Slytherin’s dormitory, waiting for it to be a quarter to noon. Mulciber, Avery, and Yaxley ran over to the place where Snape was sitting
“Hey Snape,” said Mulciber, “Wanna play some wizards chess?”
Snape looked at the clock and saw that he had a half hour until noon.
“Let’s make this quick.” answered Snape.
Mulciber and Snape played wizards chess for a half hour until, to nobody’s surprise, Severus won. He looked up at the clock and saw that he had twenty minutes to get to the lake.
“This has been fun, but I really got to go.” Severus said as he got out of his chair.
“Oh come on, Snape!” said Avery, “One more go!”
“Really, I shouldn’t”
“I challenge you to a rematch!” said Mulciber.
Severus stopped dead on the spot; he could never turn down a challenge. He turned to Mulciber, smiling slightly.
“You’re on.”

“Mia, wake up!” said James, shaking Mia awake. Mia’s eyes shot open. She looked around and to her horror it was pitch dark.
“What time is it?” she asked, getting up quickly.
“It’s almost eleven o’clock.” answered James.
“How were you able to go through the corridor at this hour without getting caught?”
James held something up to show Mia; she looked at it for a moment and she knew.
“The Invisibility Cloak.” she whispered. “I thought Mum and Dad took that away from you.”
“Hey, I’m James, remember?” said James, smiling. Mia couldn’t return the smile; she looked at the ground with tears in her eyes.
“So I take it you were waiting for Severus Snape?” asked James. Mia looked up at James, shocked.
“How did you know?”
“I heard you two talking in the library yesterday. I’m sorry Mia.”
“You did something didn’t you?”
James opened his mouth in shock.
“Mia!” he said, “How can you possibly think that? I would never hurt you like that!”
Mia looked down again and started crying.
“I’m sorry James. I’m just so disappointed!”
James put his arms around Mia and hugged her tightly.
“Come on,” he said, “Let’s get you to bed.” He took off his bathrobe and put it around Mia’s shoulders.

“We had a deal, Potter.”
“Don’t worry Mulciber, I got your money.”
Mulciber held out his hand to James. James dug his hand in his pocket and pulled out some gold coins.
“There ya go.” He said dropping the Galleons into Mulciber’s hand, “Ten Galleons. I’ll give you another five if you make sure he stays away from her. But remember, one word to either Mia or Snape about this…”
“I know, I know, you’ll curse me. I got this, alright Potter?”

Awww... I feel really bad for Mia.

James needs a good lesson taught to him. But Sev should know better.

I still love Jamesy! Looking out for his lil sister, keepin her away from bad Sev, so typical.
