The next two days wouldn’t go by fast enough, I swear that all the teachers knew that there was going to be a meeting, but they didn’t want it to happen so they made the days really long. “Finally,” I sighed as we walked out of our Charms lesson. “Let’s grab some dinner, then we can go to..” I stopped as Malfoy walked past looking interested in my conversation. “to the common room,” I finished.

“But I thought we,” then Ron noticed Malfoy as well. “Don’t you have anything better to do Malfoy?”

Malfoy just sneered, before walking off holding hands with Pansy.

“God I hate him!” I exclaimed as we entered the Great Hall and sat next to Ginny. “I wish he would just… urgh!” I stabbed my meat with my fork and a piece of it flew and hit Harry in the face. “Sorry,” I said meekly.

Harry just grinned as he wiped off the sauce from his face. “Someone’s got a temper tonight.” I smiled back. “Think you’ll be able to focus on dancing and hexing?”

“Definitely,” I replied, getting up from my spot. “Speaking of dancing, I’m going to go and warm up okay?” After getting a nod from everyone, I walked out of the hall and into the Room of Requirement. “Shakira, Shakira…” I sang to myself as I did a warm up routine. Today I was going to be teaching them how to start learning salsa, which would be fun. After I had finished dancing,

I realised that there was still a bit of time before the DA meeting, so I wrote up a list of my dancers. Here’s what it looked like:

Gryffindor: Harry, Ron, Hermoine, Ginny, Me, Shirel, Jay, Chris
Ravenclaw: Mathi, Charlie, Siobhan, Evangeline
Hufflepuff: Katrina, Reese, Khristina, Jamie

There were more people, but I knew that the people on my list were either really good dancers already or were going to stay focused and practice often to become a good dancer. “Hey Rina, you okay?” I heard people say, as they walked into the room in groups.

“Yeah thanks,” I replied as Harry told us to get into partners and practice everything we’d learnt since the beginning of term. The list included the Patronus Charm, Hexamobilarus, Stupefy, Jelly Legs, and Ginny’s famous Bat Bogey Hex. I think my partner Chris Matthews, one of Jay’s friends, didn’t like me by the end of the session.

Finally it was time to dance. “Can everyone pick a partner please?” I asked as I walked over to Jay. “Sorry Khris, but I need to borrow Jay so I can teach everyone the steps. Chris will be your partner though for the moment.”

“It’s okay,” she replied to me, as she handed Jay over. “I know you have a thing with George, so I know that you won’t try anything.” I laughed, knowing full well that I definitely wouldn’t try anything, especially after seeing Khris practicing today.

Um... guys, just to let you know, I'm asking the mods to move this fic to the SA 16+ area, because after talking to one of the other SS members, I've realised that in order for some of the things to happen, the fic needs to be moved! Sorry!

Hey Jemma!! I realised it was moved. At first I was like, wait! Where did it go? I was ready to murder you for deleting this thread!

I missedsooo many chapters that you posted in one day! Its too bad I don't have sundays off....

It looks like Sabrina has everything sorted out. Well, for now anyway. I would like to take dance classes with her, she sounds really fun!

I can't wait ~~Even though I know I won't have to wait~~ till your next post!!!

“Right, the first thing you have to do is move your hips when you’re dancing the salsa. Girls, when the boy’s left foot goes forward, your right foot needs to go backwards. Then boys, when the girl’s foot then comes forward, your right foot goes back. The pace of the steps is quick, quick, slow.” Jay and I gave them a quick performance. “Right, now I want to see you all do it!” We went around correcting people’s performances.

“Reese, your foot doesn’t need to go back so far,” Jay told her. “You only need to go back a little bit.”

“Chris,” I said to our newest member, “You need to make sure that when you move your hips, you do it in time to the music!” He tried it again and seemed to be a lot better at it. “That’s it! Well done!”

Finally, after giving some of the others helpful tips, they were all able to do the basic salsa steps. “Brilliant work everyone!” I exclaimed as I turned off the music. “Practice these steps and we’ll try a turn next time!”

Jay went off with Chris to walk Jamie, Reese, Katrina and Khris back to the Hufflepuff common room; Mathi, Evangeline, Charlie and Siobhan walked off to the Ravenclaw common room, leaving the five of us alone to clean up and then walk back. “This dance is going to look so good once we’ve got a routine!” Ginny told us, as she walked hand in hand with Harry.

“I agree,” he replied. “We just need to learn everything first.”

“Ron, you’re actually a good dancer,” Hermoine said. We heard a snort from behind us and turned to see Malfoy. “Malfoy what are you doing out of bed?” she asked him.

“I’m a prefect Granger, it’s my job to patrol the corridors. And you what are you all doing out of bed?” he asked smirking. I think he was looking forward to handing out detentions.

“For your information Malfoy, Hermoine, Ginny and I are Prefects as well, so we’re allowed to be out of bed. Harry and Sabrina are out because they went to see Professor McGonagall.” Ron told him, gripping his wand. I stayed silent, there was no way I was going to speak out, especially if Malfoy had heard about the letter I had sent to mother.

“Let’s see the letter then,” he told us holding out his hands. Everyone looked at each other, we hadn’t thought he was going to ask for the letter. Then I remembered a note I had from McGonnagall and handed it over. “Potter and Dumbledore… blah blah blah… see me tonight… blah blah blah. Very well, you’re free to go, but get back to your common room quick!” He sneered, tearing up the note.

I wanted to yell at him for doing that to my note, but knew that he wanted to get a reaction out of me. Instead I just smiled innocently as I walked past him. “Good night Malfoy!” I replied as I ran off down the corridor, the others laughing as they followed.

"Do you think that Lucius' has your letter yet?" Harry asked as we sat in the common room by the nice warm raging fire.

"Well, Fawkes is back with Uncle," I told them. "But I don't know whether they've read it or not. There haven't been any howlers back, or death threats. Not sure if that's a good thing, or whether that's extrememly bad."

"Don't worry about it," Ron said as he put his arm around Hermoine. "We'd all know whether he was angry: I mean Malfoy would be smirking on the fact that something bad was going to happen."

"Ron, you really need practice on how to cheer people up!" exclaimied Ginny, shooting a glare at her brother. "Basically Rina, don't worry about something until it happens, otherwise you'll miss all the good things that are happening around you."

"I'd listen to Ginny, Sabrina," Hermoine said from Ron's arms. "It's not good to dwell on things that are upsetting. It's what we had to tell Harry during the summer."

"And surprisingly enough, even though I wanted to kill all three of them," Harry said smiling. "It worked and I realised that I was happier spending time with my friends, then if I had dwelled on what I could've done better."

"So what you're all trying to say is that I need to just have fun with you guys, and deal with my family when it happens?" I asked making sure I had the facts right.

"Exactly! See you aren't as blonde as your hair makes everyone think!" Ginny said, ducking as I threw a pillow at her.

"Well, where do I find friends then?" I asked, smiling innocently. It was my turn to duck as four pillows were thrown at me. "I'm joking! I found my friends as soon as one of them invited me into the compartment they were in."

"Which idiot was that?" Harry asked stupidly.

"You really need to stop doing that Harry," I told him as Ginny slapped him. "Firstly you look like Malfoy and now you're pulling a Crabbe! If you keep this up, I'll ask Malfoy if he'll accept you into his gang."

"You wouldn't dare!" he said, eyes wide.

"No you're right I wouldn't. I don't want to lose a friend and I think Ginny would kill me for turning her boyfriend evil!"

"Yes I would Sabrina!" retorted Ginny. We all laughed and since none of us were tired, we stayed up for a long time just chatting, gossiping, and laughing. I realised for the millionth time that I loved having my friends.

Great post Jemz. I still say we pound the snot out of Malfoy. he gets on my nerves in everyone's fic's LOL. cant wait for next post .
