Chapter 7: Aftermath of the operation.

Hermione lay on her bed in the Hospital Wing, recovering from he operation that had happened a day or two previous. She had been kept in to make sure her body didn’t reject her newly donated organs.

“Madame Pomfrey, I feel better now.” She whined.

“Don’t care, Miss Granger. You’re staying here for an extra night to make sure you’re fully healed.” The Matron said.

"Where's Cedric and my baby?" Hermione asked.

"Don't worry yourself about that now. You need rest." Pomfrey said.

"I'll worry if I don't know where they are and if they're okay." she said.

"Mr Diggory's probably asleep, you baby in his dorm with him." Pomfrey said. "Now, sleep."

"I hate this." Hermione pouted and closed her eyes.

"Tough. Give it the rest of the night, and if I think you're fit enough to go, then you can go tomorrow." Pomfrey said and wrapped her suffocatingly in the snow-white blanket and sheets and walked to her office.

Hermione wriggled out of her discomfort.

Cedric snuck in at that moment.

"Hey." he whispered, smiling.

"Hey." she whispered, smiling back at him.

"With Ginny." he said. "She and Draco had a row over something."

"What over this time?" she asked exasperatedly.

"She was joking with him, he took it serious, went to hit her, and they argued."

"They always do that! If a girl pushes him to the edge, he'll go to him. he argues, but later on he'll take it out on an object or a door or a wall." she giggled.

this just dumb. i mean if someone hurts your feelsing just tell them, and deck 'em. lol What was Ginny teasing him about?

Cedric chuckled.

“He’d beat himself up if he ever touched her the wrong way or hit her, and he would KILL anyone who hurt her.”

Cedric grinned. “Sounds like something I’d do for you.”

“I love you.” Hermione said. “You’ve given me everything I’ve ever wanted and dreamed of. Someone to love and perhaps the start of a family.”

“Good. You’ve done the same for me, so we’re even.” He smiled.

She giggled as leaned into his arms as he hugged her. She fell asleep, feeling safe and secure. And after a while watching her sleep, Cedric fell asleep too.

The next morning, Madame Pomfrey walked in and saw the sleeping couple.

“Mr Diggory. Miss Granger, time to wake up now.” She said as she nudged them, smiling.

The two slowly woke up, and Hermione nuzzled herself further into Cedric’s body.

“Mr Diggory, please wait outside the Wing. I have to check Miss Granger.” Pomfrey said.

Cedric nodded and pried himself reluctantly away from Hermione, got up and walked out and waited at the door.

Madame Pomfrey checked Hermione over six times to be sure everything was as it should be.

“You seem fine.” She said. “Any problems come straight to the Hospital Wing to me, understand?” she added. Hermione nodded.

The young witch hopped off the bed and ran out and jumped into Cedric’s arms, almost knocking him over.

“Good news then?” he asked, laughter in his voice.

“Very much. I hopefully won’t have to live with this illness anymore!” she said laughing.

He grinned.

“Thank you.” She whispered in his ear, planting tiny, gentle kisses on his neck, and from his earlobe to the jaw line.

“Don’t worry about it. I did it because I love you.”

“I love you too, so very, very much.” She said

awwwww, that was sooooo sweet. haha, Ced's like Draco. hehe, I find that funny. That was great!

Chapter 8: Discovery of Sirius.

A person down the corridor saw the pair in each others arms and crept slowly towards them, his sausage like fingers clutching at his wand in his robe, sending his small, dirty fingernails and non-existent knuckles white.

As he reached them, an invisible force sent him twenty-feet in the air and ten feet backwards.

Out stepped Sirius Black and Harry Potter from his Invisibility Cloak, their wands out threateningly.

“What’s going on?” Hermione asked. She hadn’t heard the person approach but heard him being thrown.

“You ought to be more aware, Hermione.” Sirius said, his eyes twinkling mischievously “Harry and I might not be there next time.”

She giggled.

Harry hugged her then looked at Sirius.

“What’s going to happen to him?” Harry asked but Sirius was refrained from answering when a shrill scream of alarm resounded off the walls like the Bandon Banshee.

The three teenagers and Sirius whipped around.

“SIRIUS BLACK IN THE CASTLE!” a seventh year student screamed, sending all the teachers to the Hospital Wing floor in the alarm, the wands raised for protection.

“No! He’s innocent!!” Harry and Hermione yelled as Professor Sprout sent thick, green vines from her wand at Sirius, winding them around him.

“He murdered Potter’s parents! Innocent my foot!” Sprout and McGonagall shouted.

“Severus, take Black somewhere out of danger of the students. Poppy, check these three over. We’ll alert the Ministry.” Professor Sprout ordered and walked away.

Sirius went into canine form and fled to the forest before Snape could get him.

The three teenagers took off down the corridor before Pomfrey could even breathe on them let alone approach them.

Chapter 9: Rescue Mission

Hermione grabbed hold of Harry’s arm.

“Just count yourself lucky there’s no Hippogriff to rescue as well and fly to save him, again.” Harry grinned as the three weaved in and out of the trees of the Forest.

As he reminded her of this, Hermione’s grip on his arm tightened into a pinch.

“OW!” he yelped.

Hermione smirked.

After ten minutes of searching, Cedric found Sirius in his human form hidden in a tree.

“Harry, ‘Mione, I’ve found him.” He said and started to climb the tree to Sirius.

“Careful, Cedric.” She said.

“I will be. I haven’t broken my neck as of yet.” He smirked and sat on the branch where Sirius was.

“Why are you doing this, lad? Getting yourselves into trouble over a silly old fool like me?” Sirius asked.

“Cause the only ones that are here are the only ones so far who care.” Cedric grinned, referring to himself, Hermione and Harry.

“Thank you.” Sirius said gratefully, smiling.

“Mione have you got any of those appearance-changing potions?” Cedric asked.

“They’re under my bed…” she whispered. “And if I run to get them I may be too late, I may get caught or you may have been caught…”

“I’ll get them. And er, Mione, I think I’d be able to hear you screaming even if I was in the Shrieking Shack.” Harry grinned.

“Hey, I’m not that loud!! … Am I?” she asked blushing.

Cedric and Harry nodded.

“You’re even louder when yo-“

“Don’t even say it, Diggory!!” Hermione squealed, blushing even more.

Cedric laughed and Harry took off toward the castle again.

“I hope you’re grateful, Diggory. I could’ve left you and Harry to your devices and gone back to my baby.” Hermione grinned jokingly, resting against the tree, her blush calming down.

“I am, very much.” Cedric told her.

Half an hour later, Harry appeared next to Hermione, with the potion, breathless.

“What happened?” Hermione asked, alarmed at the sight of the bleeding scars in her friend’s neck and hands.

“Malfoy… Bloody get him… back… jinxed me…” he told her, taking deep breaths and trying to calm his pulsing heart to a normal pace.

Hermione hugged him and took the potion. She levitates it up to Cedric and Sirius’ level.

Cedric grabs the bottle. “Miss Granger would you like to state the effects?” he grinned.

Hermione giggled.

“Well Mr Diggory. The effects of the potion is to those close to you i.e., close friends and family will see through whatever features it gives you, but to others i.e. enemies will not. They will only see the disguise.”

Sooner or later, Sirius’ hollow features rounded out, became fuller and livelier. His eyes now gleamed with that of happiness, rather than dull with that of fear and death.

Cedric jumped from the tree, landing beside Hermione, quite proud of himself.

Sirius climbed down from the tree.

The three teenagers smiled and laughed with their own teamwork and what they did, which is may have saved a man’s life from prison, even worse…

Death.
