The once somewhat dirty, dusty, and dusky greenhouses now shine and sparkle, clean and pristine. Five of the large buildings are situated on the Hogwarts grounds and during your time at Hogwarts you may have class in every one - with the exception of Greenhouse Five. Five is locked and has been transformed into Professor Bunbury's personal garden and experimentation area. You will most likely never see the contents of that greenhouse, nor can you even peek inside past those magically pink tinted windows!

Greenhouses one through three, however, are currently open to student aid and experimentation - with your professor's supervision, of course. Feel free to tend to the Venemous Tentaculas in Greenhouse Three and watch out for the Devil's Snare in the Greenhouse Two!

If you traipse through each greenhouse, you will identify almost every sort of magical plant that has ever been taught at Hogwarts. Bubotubers, puffapods, fanged geraniums.....and that's not even mentioning the assortment of Muggle flowers in Greenhouse One! Your professor keeps Greenhouse Five locked right now as it contains her collection of plants from around the world - no doubt an interesting subject you may wish to explore if you have a green thumb. Greenhouse Five is may be opened later in the term for more advanced students, if Bunbury feels you have the aptitude...

Each greenhouse has shelves and racks of tools and large cabinets in the corner containing any other necessities you may need. There's plenty of lab tables for setting up your own tinkering station and sinks to clean up in too. Don't forget to add to the compost pile behind the greenhouses, and help yourself to some fertilizer while you're back there!

Cam, smelling of lilacs, found himself EXTREMELY attractive, with the exception of his snout however. Wasn't heeeee ladies? WASN'T HE???

Before he actually went inside Greenhouse Three, he was CUUUUURIOUS about that Greenhouse Five. Clearly those plants inside were dyyyiiiing from those pink... things. DID BUNZZ KNOW OF THIS?! He peeked. He sniffed. Maybe the professor kept booodies in there. Mysterious mysterious but he WILLLLLL, repeat, WILL rescue that greenhouse from the pink one day. One day. *sniff* Poor plants.

He hurried himself in Greenhouse Three, moving in a funkeh wayyy and singing a funkehhh song to himself. "They call me DOT! They call me ding DONG! They call me HIM! They call me SEAN! Dat's not mah name! DAT'SNOTMAHNAME!" ZOMG it was SOOOOO catchy. TWASN'T HIS NAAAAAME ALRIGHT.

"They call meeee QUIET boyyy BUT I'M A RIOTT nah nah nah naaaa ALWAYS INSANE! That's not MAHNAME!"

He hurried himself, but COUUULDN'T really because of the puuuurdy Mimbulus Mimbletooniiiaaaa. Hehe. But whatevahhh, the greenhouse was huge. No not big. HUGE. Like, MAYBE EVEN BIGGER THAN HIS OWN HOUSE! He looked at the Venemous Tentacula for a second, got the urge to poke it, but ran away like a beheaded chicken when it started reaching out for him.

AHAAA! Mandrakes. Whatever they were, he recognized 'em enough. "Pssttt mah fellow Maaaandrake, howzit ehhh? I'm gonna BUUURY you even more naooo! JUSTHOLDYERBREATHMMKAYS??" Oh right he needed some eaaarrrmufffssss. He grabbed one of random color and also dragon-hide glovesss and put some of his PRECIOUS moooncalf dung on top.

LalaaaaLAAAAA good mandrake GUUURD mandrake!

Torin headed towards Greenhouse Three as Professor Bunbury asked him to. He didn't really want to do it. But he would for the Professor. And she so knew he would. Damn him for being so gullible.

But whatever.

Following the bad singing, he made his way over to the Slytherin.

"Hey, Cam. What you doing?" he asked pretending not to know what was going on.

"Stalka-STALKARAZZIIIIII," he started singing another song in a very off-tune tone but la la LAAAAA, he did have a conclusion that rock music helped plant growth and his voice was veeeerrryyy similar to hard metal. OFF-TONE and all. Cam scooped up some more mooncalf dung and started placing 'em on the mandrakes.

"Laaaa di daaa la di daaaaaaa." Kableh bleh blehhh, he was SOOOOO losing inspiration here... CHYEAH. "PROOOOMISE I'll be KIND. But I won't stop until that choklit's MINE!" He turned around when he heard footsteps. WHO WAS IT???

Bunzz? No. MR. KAAAANE. "Ohaaaaiiii thar." Whaaat was he doing? What was HEEEE doing, HUH? "I'm burying Bunzz's boyfriends s'more with poop." Who knew, these Mandrakes could have been going out with Professor Bunbury at the moment because they were well, the closest things to humannnnnns. So yeah, what was he doing? Feeding her boyprensss some fertilizer.

But he leaned clooooser to Torin, acting all spy-like and all... shifteh. "Well, WELL??? Did she get yer luuuuurvveee potion? Heheheee." Did she? DID SHE? Oh he was soooooo not up to date.

Tuning out more bad singing, he shrugged at Cameron. "What you think?" Obviously the Professor wasn't under love potion. If she had been, she would have acted different. Duh. But he wasn't going to say all that.

And he had a job to do.

"Well, make sure that you cover her.. boyfriends very well."

There was somethin'... WROOONGGG with Torin. Ayeee Cam could sense itttt! HE COULD SENSE IT! Why wasn't he talking about Bunbury? Why wasn't he talking about how he could plot his next flirty mooooveeeee??? Did she ... OFFICIALLY reject him? So he had to let out a snort when he thought of that but went back to the serious shifteh expression.

"WELLWELLUHHH she uhhh..."

No, Cam didn't have an answer for that. Maybe Torin really baked that Baked Alaska AND fed it to Bunbury but she had some sort of a twisted heart and it was NOT EFFECTIVEEEEE. His eye randomly twitched. "Well who ate that Bakeddd Alaska then?"

"Ayeee I will, butbutbut whatchooooo doin' here huhh? Ya gonna help meeee or not?"

He raised his brow, momentarily surprised when Cameron was asking about a dessert out of nowhere. Huh? Then it hit him. "Oh, that. Professor Lawson ate it instead 'cause he didn't know that it was for Bunbury. So I have to make her something else." He wasn't going to mention the fact that the dessert he made didn't have love potion in it.

"I came by to see what you are doing," he added feigning innocence. He was never going to tell Cameron that Bunbury told him to come over here to supervise.

"Alright, I guess I can help.." This was going to be fun. Not.

...what? LAWSON ATE IT???

Cam had visuals. THOUGHTS. No no noooo he was pushin' 'em away. AWAAAAYYYY. "Uh... OH? Well uh uhhhhhhh good luck with that I guess," he added with a nervous laugh and continuing to put some mooncalf dung on top of the young mandrakes. CAME TO SEE WHAT HE WAS DOOOOING, EHH???

This was suspicious now. Who SENT you HERE, TORIN? HUH? HUHUHUHUH?! He gave him a look filled with curiosity, wondering if the Hufflepuff came to spyyy on him. NO ONE WAS ALLOWED TO SPY ON HIM. Cam went from speculating to a concluuuusion. "Riiiight, riiiight, you can take that emmm... thaaatt bucket to the right," he told him and continued with that suspicious stare.

Going right back to work however, whether or not his EYES were playing on him, he thought he saw something in one of the pots. "Oiiii TORIN, I think I saww somethin' shiiiiiinnnyyyyy in this one!" Maybe BUNBURY dropped an earring in here? MAYBE? But whatevahhh, Cam had already started digging out the fertilizerrr of the young mandrake.

Teeeeheeee.

He was just about to work on the pot that Cameron indicated to him when he realized that he didn't do the muffling spell on himself yet. How stupid of him!

He didn't trust Cameron enough. The boy was unpredictble. So he silently performed the spell on himself. Now if anything happened he wouldn't pass out.

Too bad it made everything muffled.

He reached the pot and started working on it when he herd Cam saying something to him but he couldn't understand what.

"Huh?" he asked s he turned his focus back to the boy. Then he saw what he was doing.

"NO!! DON'T DO THAT!" he yelled out.

"I'mmmm GONNA GET'CHA!" Cam said aloud to the pot, getting more of the fertilizer off. HE SAW AN EARRING FERSUUUUUURREEE. And it was shhhhiiiiinyyyyy! He looked back at Torin and eyed him with a confusing look. "Whaaaaattttt?? But DOOOOD I saw somethin' VALUABLE!" Whether it was some sort of a galleon or Bunz's jewelry, heee was GONNA get it. Right? He would.

Up to the point when his brain just went BOOOOM and he started pulling on the mandrake's leaf-ish head. "OUT OUTTTT YOUUU GOOOO!" It would save the trouble RIGHT???

Plunk!

The mandrake went riiiighttt out of the pot and started SCREAMIN' LIKE CRAAAZZZYYYY. EEEEEEKKK EEEEKITY EEEEKKK!!11 It was like MERRRMIISH! No, Cam's earmuffs didn't work THIS time. It didn't NUH UHHH. Whether it was because the merpeople tempered with his ear the previous term or it was some faulty earmuff, he immediately went drowsy.

Dropping the immature mandrake back in its little pot which was still screaming like evahhh, Cam fell down on the ground with a THUUUUDD!

Everything happened so fast.

One second things were normal and the next Cam was lying on the ground passed out and there was a mandrake screaming.

He had to deal with the mandrake before someone else passed out!

Ignoring the weak effects it had on him, he rushed over to it and shoved it back into it's pot. He started dumping soil on it. Then he quickly moved to the other pots, finishing each one off perfectly.

When he was done, he looked back at the unconscious boy. He still had to deal with that problem.

Sighing, he picked the boy up and carried him over to the compost heap. Then he laid him on top of it and walked off, whistling tune as he went.

Sara walked into the green house and looked around. She didn't see any other students from her Herbology class in here. Was she even in the right place?

Sara decided to leave. It didn't look too promising after all...

Expecting to see another large group of students huddled inside the greenhouses, LouAnn was shocked to only see a few fellow students standing around. Maybe she'd come to the wrong greenhouse? Or...maybe she wasn't even supposed to be at the greenhouse at all? Deciding that it might be best to just stand around and wait a little while, LouAnn moved off to the side and just...well, stood there. What if she was supposed to examine the plants and pluck a few things off, though? No, no, surely not. The professor would have a fit if students came in and started doing away with all her plants' beautiful leaves and such.

Cela headed to the greenhouses and opened up Greenhouse three, slipping inside to look around. Saplings? What kind?

She moved closer to have a look.

As the Ravenclaw girl bent to examine a little potted tree, her skirt with pink stitching knocked a few red berries off a different type of potted plant. The plant had shiny, somewhat jagged leaves and plenty of berries to go around....

...not that that meant they were edible by any means.

Oooooh!

Cela turned around and eyed the holly berries, finally stooping to pick a few berries up.

"Sorry tree, didn't mean to hurt you!" She gave the sapling a little stroke and carefully pocketed the berries, deciding to keep nosing around for a bit.

Torin led the way over to the greenhouses, Jack right behind him. And as soon as he arrived, he saw berries littered on the ground.

He quickly went over to them and started picking some up for them.

"Here," he said as he handed one over to Jack.

Holly berries! Tibi raced over, smiling at Cela. "Hii! Are there any holly berries left," Tibi asked her while searching the ground. Grabbing what looked like some, he pocketed them. "Fun, isn't it?" he said, grinning broadly.

The greenhouses were pretty empty, which was a bit of a surprise for Jack. Usually there were a ton of people in there! He watched as Torin walked over to the berries and handed the to him. "Ooooooh, I know these! Those are those holly things people put in their houses at Christmas!" Jack exclaimed, glad that he finally knew ONE of the plants they had identified.

He grabbed one of the branches and took a tiny twig, so they had a sampling of the wood as well, but the berries would probably do. He'd have to remind himself later that the berries were NOT berries to EAT. Nooooooo that would NOT be good.

"It is." Cela agreed, giving Tiberius a smile. She waved at Jack and Torin too, then continued nosing around.

He smiled at Jack as he took some more stuff. "Yep, that's Holly. We use it for Christmas time too." At least this time they knew what they were picking up.

"So where to now?" It was Jack's turn to choose.

Jack waved at Cela, who was still digging around the greenhouses, before looking down at their list. "Maybe we should go to the magical creatures sanctuary? If we're going to find anything else animal related, I bet that's a good place to start," he suggested. He was stick of looking at trees that he didn't know anything about.

"Okay, sure," he replied quickly. He wanted to move on and get this thing done already. He loved Herbology, but this was stuff he didn't really know. What was his knowledge on trees? That they were made out of wood and you could make wands and furniture out of them.

"Ok, sounds like a plan!" Jack said with a grin, pocketing their new finds in his robe pocket before examining the list. "I guess if we're still missing some of the wood later, we can come back and check again," he said with a nod. He didn't know how much good that would do them if they weren't exactly sure WHAT they were looking for, though.

"See ya Cela!" Jack called, waving goodbye to the Ravenclaw girl before heading out the greenhouse door.

LouAnn turned to speak to Cela, intending to ask the girl if she'd seen anything out of the ordinary---like, say, something for the scavenger hunt, perhaps? Lucky for LouAnn, she didn't even need to inquire about that, for just as she turned around, a group of red berries tore off a potted plant and rolled to the ground below. Seeing that a few other people had decided to pocket some, LouAnn scooped up a small handful and dropped them into the pockets of robes---right alongside the many other items she'd managed to collect.
