We had this thread up during our Israeli celebrations and I figured it was too good to waste... Please feel free to use this thread to post up new (and old) pictures of places in Israel that you have visited and/or would like to visit. Though a friendly reminder to also not post any personal pictures, since there is a thread for that in The Quibbler Forum.
In addition, then you may use this thread as a place to post up graphics for people to advertise for the Hebrew Forum around the site. Please credit the maker if you choose to use any . . .
If you post pictures from the internet, then please credit your sources as well. And lastly, do NOT hotlink. Upload all pictures to your own image account. it's free.
Ok, so I'll have to dig up some photos - but this is one that I took quite recently.
SPOILER!!: It might stretch the page >_<
It's a view of the Dead Sea as seen from the Yehuda Mountains... I love the Dead Sea!

Thank you!
Pictures! I took all these following pictures. Enjoy!
This beautiful waterfall is called the Banyas.
Banyas, lying at the foot of Mount Hermon in the Golan, is one of the prettiest archaeological sites in Israel. This is firstly because of its natural surroundings. The river Hermon, the eastern tributary of the Jordan, is born here. Visitors can make a walk along the river, leading along historic sites and ending at the Banyas waterfall.
SPOILER!!: Banyas pictures

Two family members of mine and me flew on a four seat plane last year and saw the whole Sharon area. The cities in the pictures are Hod HaSharon, Hertzliya, Raanana, Tel-Aviv and Netanya.
SPOILER!!: Looking down from a 4 seat plane: the Sharon area.
These pictures were taken last winter, year 2008, by me and my brother. Some of them were taken while we were driving, so they came out a little blurry.
SPOILER!!: Snow in Efrat.
I took this last summer at the dead sea, also known as the red sea.
SPOILER!!: Random people at the Dead Sea.
I can't remeber at the moment what the name of this place is. I went there in 2006 with a program. I will edit when I find out.
SPOILER!!: Some flowers at a place I went too.

- All the following pictures were taken mostly by my brother. Some of them by me.
On April 8th 2009 me and my family went to the Kotel (The Western Wall) for Birkat Hachama(Blessing of the Sun). We woke up at 3:45 in the morning and drove to Jerusalem. We walked up to the Kotel and waited a few hours to see the sun rise over the wall. It was the most beautiful sight. It was said that there was about 50,000 people there!
SPOILER!!: About Birkat Hachama
Here's a little about it so you understand what the pictures are about:
Birkat Hachama (ברכת החמה, "Blessing of the Sun") refers to a Jewish blessing that is recited in appreciation of the Sun once every 28 years, when the vernal equinox, as calculated by tradition, falls on a Tuesday at sundown. Jewish tradition says that when the Sun completes this cycle, it has returned to its position when the world was created.
According to Judaism, the Sun has a 28 year solar cycle known as machzor gadol (מחזור גדול, "the great cycle"). A solar year is estimated as 365.25 days and the "Blessing of the Sun", being said at the beginning of this cycle, is therefore recited every 10,227 (28 times 365.25) days. The last time that it was recited was on April 8, 2009 (14 Nisan 5769 on the Hebrew calendar). This coincided with the day before the Jewish Holiday of Passover (Hebrew: פסח).
The same blessing is recited upon experiencing various natural phenomena, including lightning, comets, and meteor showers; as well as upon witnessing wondrous natural topography, such as great mountains, rivers and vast wilderness.[1] When recited for these other experiences, the blessing is recited alone without additional verses or Psalms etc. The text of the blessing itself is as follows:
"ברוך אתה ה' אלהינו מלך העולם עושה מעשה בראשית"
"Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the Universe who makes the works of Creation."

The next pictures were taken during Pesach(passover) 2009 at a beautiful place called Achulla which is in the Northern part of Israel.
Hello again! I was at an overnight trip with my school this week and we went to the Golan area in Israel(the North part of Israel). I took some amazing pictures of the views there!
The first day of my trip we went to a place called Mt. Carmel. The most beautiful place. We had to climb down rocks over three or four meters high! It was really hard and challenging. I didn't take many pictures of the big ricks we had to climb, I was afraid to drop my camera.
SPOILER!!: Mt. Carmel
The red flower below is called a Kalanit. A well known flower in Israel.

The picture below might look a little strange to you. My friend was having Tuna for lunch and a lot of people in Israel set it on fire to burn it. I don't like Tuna very much, but they say it tastes delicious!
Hello!! I didn't post in a while...
So, I went to the South of Israel with my school in the beginning of the year and I took some really pretty pictures. You guys are welcome to comment (and add some pictures of your own of course! ).
I couldn't pick out the best pictures so I just posted almost all of them... have fun!
-- This post didn't work very well. A lot of the pictures don't show up. I will try fixing it later. --
I went hiking in the north of Israel with my siblings and cousins last year. We pretty much hit the road as you can see in the third picture, and some of what there is in the beautiful Golan of Israel.
SPOILER!!: Somewhere in the north of Israel, I can't remember what the area was called exactly...
And a little more...
SPOILER!!: More in the North of Israel
