I'm Zoe and I hope I can pick up Hebrew pretty quick. I so don't know a single word of Hebrew yet.

Yes - Ken - כן

I remember Lo - לא. I even made a sentance with it in a MSN chat with Jess. But I didn't use the fancy characters.

So would it be like:

?לא עברית

For saying "Hebrew, no?"

But yes! That list helps me out a lot for the "Yes" or "No" questions!

Haha! looks like we're going to have to work hard to bring you to a point when you can say: עברית כן!
although saying that would be terrible grammar, just like in english.
If you were going to say it properly you would have to say: אני מדבר/ת עברית
מדבר - Speak/talk as a guy
מדברת - Speak/talk as a girl

And now I will convert to english because I hate typing in hebrew. I lived in an english speaking country for 7 years so i know english pretty well. I came back two years ago (to israel).

What does Zoe mean in Russina? Nope, it deosn't mean anything hebrew.

I was born in Israel and have lived here my whole life, but my parents are american. My mom moved here when she was a little girl though. My parents wanted us to know also english besides Hebrew so when we were little at home they spoke to us in english. And I have some american friends, but actually my hebrew is way better than english.

Zoya (Зоя) would be the correct way of saying Zoe in Russian. It pretty much has the same meaning, but is just spelt a little different. But it means "life" in Greek, so I'm guessing that it goes the same with Russian and any other language.

And no, I didn't live in America (I wish!). I lived in Cyprus for 7 years. The native language is greek but everyone speaks english as well and I went to a British school so my english is soooo much better than my hebrew because I practically grew up there. But I was born in Israel.
About my typing in Hebrew. Try and picture a turtle and a snail having a retarded baby. Now imagine that baby trying to type. That'll be my typing speed in Hebrew, so I really prefer english.
But, on second thought, I reall need the practice.

Daniel and Danielle sound almost the same. When you say Daniel, you stress the "DA" and when you say Danielle, you stress the "IELLE" (you pronounce that "yell", by the way)

In Hebrew it sounds exactly the same, and it's spelt the same so I don't worry.
