There's a guy, Dan (not Dan Radcliffe), who would make a really good Zack Smith in OOTP and wants to know if you think he'll be good for the job. Article:
It was posted on IMDb that there's a guy who just might be the perfect Zacharias Smith in Harry Potter's fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which will possibly on screen in 2007.
Originally, he wanted to audition for Cedric Diggory and had a petition for that part and got 600 signers.

News?! Personally I dont think that this is news. More like one of the thousands of people trying to get a part in the movies. Sorry I'm not going to sign this petition bc i believe that it is not right to try and get signitures over the internet.

Why didn't I think of this tactic when going for a part in GoF? Lol I agree with rongranger. I'd also like to add that these online petitions don't win acting roles, writing to the studios is probably a better idea. But not yet, casting doesn't start until January at the very earliest.

This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard! It is just someones pathetic attempt to get a role in the harry Potter movies. But, come on camparing him to ONE persons FAN art? I could draw a picture of hermione looking exactally like me and then make a pettition, but does that mean that they will fire Emma and hire me? Of course not! A petition isnt going to help this kid, maybe an agent and skills can..

I wont sign that since i think the casting directors are doing an awsome job casting the roles. About this boy... he has a "nice body" and he looks like the Zacharias smith i had in mind... but i have no idea if he can act... so sorry honey...not signing!!!

I agree, I'm not signing as it's not fair to others who want a part. He will just have to write to WB studios, and wait till next year when casting begins like everybody else and hope for the best. Not everyone can get a part and personally having a petition with some signatures won't help you get a part, it may even make WB less likely to give you a part. They want people (well for the Hogwart's students cast) unknown and know his name is on the Internet. :ermsmile:

Wow, well, that's...ummm..different, I ges you could say. :unsure: HE does look kinda full of himself, although, he did sorta look lyk dat fan art. I didn't sign his petition because 1) he looks full of himslef, and 2) there are probably TONS of people who want 2 b in da movies, shouldn't he just audition or sumthin'? and r they really gonna put zacharias smith in the movies at all? I mean, maybe , but I highly doubt it...not important enough (and if they do, not by name anyway)

No, this is not to force you people to sign a petition for him. It's not an advertisement and I don't even know this guy. Anyway, I found this info on the The Snitch site and thought I would like to let you know, whats happening in some place in the world to some people.
Personally, I think this Dan guy is gay. Nothing else, just plain gay.

yeah I dont think he would make a good Zacharies Smith either...if he wants the part so bad then he should auddition like everyone else it just wouldnt be fair if he got the part based on a petition, how do we even know if he can act, i mean anyone can take a picture and say hey i can act and if you have never seen them act then how do you know.....and in those pictures he looked concieted and like he was trying way to hard. He dosent even look like the way I pictured him and he looks to old and probably to tall....

This guy looks alright for the part but I trust the casting people to find the best one for the job.
And he had 600 for Cedric? Why? He doesn't have the right appearence at all and we don't even know if he can act.
Like Emma said, having people sign a petittion won't get you the job.

First: how can someone care about fans' signatures when chosing a character.
How is a photo proof of someone's acting abilities?
HOW CAN FANS OPINION OR IMAGE MATTERS WHEN CHOSING AN ACTOR AT ALL! They should choose him on acting! Tell me he is a good actor and prove it and I might espiritually support, but not sign a petitory, no way.
