| | |  Is your town potty for Potter? (Part 2)
Amazon.ca, following in the footsteps of Amazon, are now looking for the Canadian town which is the most potty about Harry Potter. As with the American version of this contest, Amazon.ca are looking for the Harry-est town based on which area has the most pre-orders for Deathly Hallows through their website. Quote:
The company will use the 2006 Canada Census
data and include all Canadian towns and cities with a population of more than 5,000 people. The winning town will be announced shortly after 11:59 pm PDT on July 15, 2007.
As with the previous competition, Amazon.ca will also donate a $5,000 gift certificate to a charitable organisation with the winning town.
The towns currently in the lead are; Quote:
1. Gibsons, British Columbia
2. Banff, Alberta
3. Sooke, British Columbia
4. Bonnyville, Alberta
5. Port Elgin, Ontario
6. Drayton Valley, Alberta
7. Peace River, Alberta
8. Kincardine, Ontario
9. Sechelt, British Columbia
10. Canmore, Alberta
The list will be updated weekly here. Quote:
"Harry Potter mania continues to grow across Canada as we draw nearer to the release of the seventh and final book in this epic series," said Julie Todaro, director of Amazon.ca. "Our search for the 'Harry-est Town' allows us to sponsor a fun competition among towns and cities in Canada and benefit a charity in the process."

If only my town was on there  To many ppl here think Harry Potter is supporting witchcraft and all that stuff (bible belt here or something).
But hey, I might be near one of the three B.C towns! 
Maybe I should've gone through Amazon for preordering instead of an intown Coles.... 0_o
But that's still awesome!
