| | | YOUR review of the PoA DVD
It's already out in Italy and the UK and will be out soon in the US and other nations. So what does everyone make of it? What's it like watching the film at home? What do you make of the deleted scenes, the JK/Alfonso interview, the cast/crew interviews, the games, the making of segments??
Despiet living in the UK I've yet to get my copy *ducks from raging fans* but I have heard some of what JK said on there from scouring around HP sites: Quote:
*JK says she liked the shrunken heads
*The Marauders Map was created from one of JK's own sketches
*JK loved the PoA scenery which Alfonso added presumably because it was actually Scottish whereas the previous films had set Hogwarts in England.
I like the two bottom points but the Shrunken Heads really ticked me off. And the interviews with him in (the cast ones - I've read the transcripts - they are in this forum) are appalling. Lenny Henry and Johnny Vaughan could've been left out of the DVD. They should've had Lizo Mumba from Newsround do the interviews or else Stepehn Fry. Leaving those two out might've made from for more deleted scenes, of which there are only a dissappointing five.
So what do you lotf make of it? How many snitches out of ten would you give it? |

I've only been able to see it on my computer. I try to play the games but when I try to catch scabbers, I keep crashing into the same thing and in Sir Cadogans Quest, the stupid Idiot runs foward and doesn't stop!

I would give movie about a 6.5/10. the movie was good... if you never read the books! Me and a couple of my friends went to see it on the day it came out at the movies. And either of us were happy about it. what happened to telling us who the muraders(sp?) were. the firebolt was in the worng place. Waston was the center of attention. the movie was pertty funny though. i think that the interviews were lame the deleted sences werent that long so i think they could of put them in. I wish the director from the last two movies would team up with alfonso and direct the fourth movie together. with columbus' way of making the book come to life and alfonso making the movie funny we would have a great fourth fifth sixth and seventh movie!

:jump: The movie in general was very good, one of my favorites in fact, but to the book it remians unfaithful. As a movie I'd give it a 8 out of 10 but to the book it rates a 5 out of 10.

The movie was good, but it missed soo many things form the book. I give it 6/10. I was very disappointed with only 5 deleted scenes, and also they weren't very long |

Note to self on previous post: Shrunken Heads.
I liked him in the movie...as for the interview..all he talked about was himself..which is rude...and dumb.Honestly..i think that he made a better talking head in the movie...not as an interviewer. Yes..he was dumb and stupid...but I do however like him in the movie. That is all.

I found the DVD a little confusing. It has always been hard to find specific things in Harry potter DVD's but it took me an hour to find the deleted scenes (because I argued with my sister) and even then there were only a couple.
But it still remains a fantastic DVD and i disagree with Marcella Riddle when she says the shrunken head interviews were apalling. I thought they were quite interesting and funny, especially the trio and slytherins
9/10 snitches

I just brought the dvd and i watched the speacial features disk. I think there should of been more special features because they kinda bad. The shrunken head was funny at times! I'd give it a 6/10.

| Love it! I love the movie.... despite its somewhat of a let down ending..... I loved the interviews with the cast and the sjrunken heads. You get to understand the actors more. Also, in Dan's, Emma's, and Rupert's interview you can see all of theor chemistry with one another. They finish one another sentences. Its sooo cute! Then they have the making of the creaturesd and that was pretty cool. They have deleted scenes and a lot more! Well have fun with your DVD ppl! 9/10 snitches!i!i!i!

I am rating it a 6/10 stiches. Only because I like it when they put stuff in like funny outtakes and deleted scenes and these scenes weren't too good for my standards. The interviews were ok but not exceptional.....but the movie part is great!!!!!!

I LOVED the DVD,
I found it quite easy to move along the DVD (partly because I was playing it in my xbox) and because i actually READ what was written inside the BOOKLET THAT LOOKS LIKE MARAUDERS MAP INSIDE THE DVD CASE BEFORE THE CD BEHIND THE FRONT COVER. lol check that before you do anything in dvds....else you may spoil your story (the people who havn't seen it).
9/10 snitches (you cant view the trading cards or look at the hogwarts timeline in your DVD player...or in my case XBOX)
