In a new interview with The Guardian David Yates, director of Order of the Phoenix & Half-Blood Prince, talks about quidditch and sex and the possibility of blowing up a bridge for the sixth film. Quote:
Yates is already imagining how to adapt The Half-Blood Prince. "We start shooting in eight to 10 weeks. In the book, bridges blow up. I want to take down the Millennium bridge." What, don't you like Norman Foster's iconic bridge? "I love it. I just love the idea of destroying it."

The bridge blowing is only mentioned, so it's not particularily important. Quidditch, on the other hand, IS IMPORTANT! I know some directors and some actors don't like it very much, but it's a very important part of the story, especially in HBP, let's hope they don't cut it this time around.

Like the cast said, it's pretty difficult to put Quidditch in when you're trying to make the whole movie into 2 and a half hours.
